This Madden 2002 is the best Madden ever released. There still are the usual flaws in it though. The AI wasnt made properly. If you have played madden 2002 you will relize when you move the difficulty settings up to All-Madden it get's very difficult. The game doesnt make the computer make smart decisions it just makes every player on the computers teams skills better. They have below average running backs have super speed and break tackles left and right. But All-Pro is probally the best level since there is still a challenge makes you make right decisions and if you dont you pay for it. The one main problem with All-Pro is that it is very easy to run the ball.
The commentary is as it is usually very crappy. In the beginning of the Madden Series like madden 92' 93 and all the games on the Sega Genesis had Very excellent commentary when madden still had a flare for the game. But in recent years it's like getting the same commentary over and over again just with a few new lines added in. Didnt change at all in 2002 again, if you play about 10-15 games you heard all the commentary and already have started to hear the repetiveness in it and it sickens you. If you run the ball 4 times in a row you may hear the same remark of you running back 3-4 times. They didnt add any commentary relitive for the franchise mode. In which i mean Madden wouldnt make comments about how the players are doing during the season and carreer that would be a great acclomplishment for all the series madden gamers out there. The game itself it still the best out there. NFL2k series doesnt even come within a million miles of making a compitition. Gameday is over and going out of business i hope. Madden 2003 comes out on august 13th and will have online capability's which will be so awesome it's unbeliveable. I'm just hoping it doesnt get to be like the madden 2001 online mode where people will have played the game so much they can make an audible on every play and get a touchdown but the online capability for the PS2 will be Great no doubt. I am hoping tho that madden 2003 will have fixed a lot of bugs that i have noticed. I have noticed that it is to easy for you to get a 4th and 10 conversion. I will play with my friends and will stop them 3 times in a row and they go for it on 4th down and get a first down or touchdown and same goes for me. They need to make this a factor in the game. I want to talk about the biggest bug in the game. The out pattern. you know where the offensive player runs straight up the field then after about 10-15 yards breaks out towards the sideline and the computer defender cant defend it since he's on the offensive players back and they get a first down. This can be prevented by taking your own Defensive Tackle and wait for the QB to throw it and try to knock it down or intercept it. But guess what the team can also run the ball. And when your defensive player is out guarding the pass BAM they go for a 44 yard run or a 67 yard TD. It needs to be fixed because when i play my friends they take advantage of this and my computer players on my team never catch on because my friend could run this play the whole game and never have a problem with a interception. But when you play against a whole computer team and you try this they catch on after 2 times and the madded Game will give there DB extra speed so he can have the ability to knock the pass down. This is another problem with 2002 is that when you play the computer and you are winning about 31-14 going into the 4th quarter (all you madden players know what i'm talking about)the computer mounts a super comeback almost every time. I say the chanche of getting within 3 points happens about 60% of the time. Because again madden gives them what a whole bunch of players call GOD MODE where they all get there ability's suped up so they can intercept balls when they werent able to any more. Madden needs to get this $#< remove me > at ! out it's very frustrating for all the players involved, and since in real life you dont see teams mount massive comebacks you shouldnt in this game. A lot of people say that it's our fault for not being carefull. But i am, i dont throw the ball as much and when i do it's a sure catch and i run it more often. So i get about 3 fumbles in the last quarter and a INT at least once because the game wants to win so bad. But things are looking up Madden 2003 is coming out soon and i hope they take care of all these bugs. Believe me theres a lot more but i've talked about them so much it's not worth it to tell again. Other then the bugs It is a superb game. The Franchise mode goes for up to 30 years keeps track of your players stats and everything. you can create your own team and your own players which is very in depth. This game is the best game out there and will be for a very long time on the gridiron of football games. It's very much worth your money.

The graphics are unbelievable and Im not going to even talk about them because they are so good. There are a couple things I'd like to see in next year's edition though. I think a preseason with a preseason progress would be a really nice edition. That would enable gamers to get a good feel for next year's team. You had that in Madden 2001 for regular Playstation but it was not in this year's edition. Also, I think the celebration after the Super Bowl could be a little better. There should at least be some confetti and it would be really sweet if you could have a podium with all the players up there and the press all around it. I think that when the players are introduced before the Super Bowl, you could get them to run out of the big helmets like in real life. That would be a nice addition! Anyway, this is without a doubt the best video game Ive ever played in my entire life! Excellent job!

Grapics:10 The grapics of this game are unbelivable and they even show the players com on da feild.
sound:7 The sound is okay but they should hav better songs.
gameplay:10 The Gameplay is amazing as soon as i enterd the game 4 the first time i got a 30 yard pass to moss the players are very easy to control

I liked the game when i first played it . the game contained cool graphics(9/10)u could see the face of the player clearly.the sound too was good(9/10)the commentary was very good,there was no repetition.the gameplay was unlike any other
other madden games(9/10)it was better.lifespan was better than any other madden games(10/10)the fun factor was improved,(9/10)

Madden continues to be the best with some small but neccsary updates. The graphics are cleaner then last year(it is all small datail). The coaches on the sidlines is new but would be better if they showed some more emotion then just rasing ther hands. All the hard hitting sound is still the best even though we could use some new commentary from Pat and John. Player intros now include cheerleaders for the home team. Franchise mode will now included the Houston Texans after the first year if you do the expansion draft. The gameplay is as real as ever with helmets popping off when the ball carrier is hit hard enough. One thing i do miss is the 16-bit sega version you did get on the PS one, even though it was hardly played. This game will keep the youngest to oldest gamers interested for hours on end. This game is a must buy for any real football fan!
