Clarly you all think that the forign cars are like the fastest cars in the game. but really if you want a fast car go with american cars it is money well spent. it's amzing wat u can do with an american car ..........like the mustang cobra R. sure you cant put a turbo on it but if you upgrade it as much as u can than that car has around 750-800 horse power. and a top speed of around 230-240 redlining it. another great car would be the camaro ss with a turbo and all the otheer upgrades that car can reach around 250-260 if u can get the thing redlined. so0 clearly the american cars are better than that foreign piece of junk all of you are probably driving..............ps ford rules.

This game absolutly rocks it is awsome. Here is some advise to make the most of it though:
To get the better F094 (they both are good) get 780,000 dollors for the Jaguar XJ220 and do the Polyphony Digital Cup in the Professional League. You need the Jag because you can only use "normal" cars and the Jag rocks for this. Then do the first eight races getting first in all of them so you can skip the last two. SAVE BETWEEN RACES ESPECIALLY BEFORE THE LAST ONE. Then if you don't get the F094 just go back to the main red screen and reload your game. Keep doing this untill it works.

This game is sooooooo cool. Even though i only finished 17.8% of the game, i still love it. I say it's the best racing game that i have played. right now I have 1,305,420 Cr. and i have twelve cars. Including Dodge Viper ( fully powered ), The FO90, and more fast beasts. I know your wondering how i have so much good cars and a ton of $. Simple, i race and race and race on the same tracks. Although now, I go to Professional and Endurance races with the big boys.Overall i think this is an A+ game: Good graphics ( people need to be moving and not cardboard though) and nice music. ( my favorite is Snoop's song )oh and if your wondering, im not that old, only 13 1/2.

what can i say... it's the only reason i bought my playstation 2... it's the only game i own for it. it has a few glitches that i dislike about it, but all in all, no other game out there with exception of grand prix legends and viper racing for the pc match it for realism.
and my god... rx7 is like a second wife...
for gt4 i hope they add in a optional clutch, and option to remove speed sensitive steering so we can do some driftin. network play for those of us with cat5 strung out the back of our ps... that's all gt3 needs to make it the end all be all for racing fans. but gt4 offers more.
but at the same time, it's a playstation... no custom courses can be added :(. would love to model some tight mountain roads, one way and that's down in a hurry or up in a hurry.

GT3 is the best driving simulator i've played. I absolutely love the REALNESS of the game. The dynamics are close to the real thing, esspecialy while using simulation tires. each car is unique and there ARE a variety of cars, yet there are a few i would like to see on the next..like the M3!! all that is offered from BMW is a weak little 328ci!! there's an Audi S4, but no M3? There is an MB E55 AMG, but no Bimmer M5? who cares about an acura CL! the only chrysler is the PT cruiser (not even the PT turbo?) P.S. who stole the muscle cars from GT2?I bet some lucky duck has 'em all in his garage. I do love the challenge this game offers, but i think it would be more challenging if i hadn't already memorized the tracks from playing the last two games. when it came to tracks, I was dissapointed. after 75% completion i could barely stand another race on Trial Mountain or Deep Forest or special stage R5 or Grand Valley or etc etc etc!! The idea of licences is just another point of adhesion to authenticity (I love that!) but I think the programers made the required trap times of some of the sections too hard. I mean..2 HOURS of racing my ghost, c'mon! that super license was a real b!< remove me > at #$ to get. My advice, get to F094 indy car, it has more hp than the F090 while retaining the same handling. I would like to hear about some one beating my RGT's 267.5mph top speed record. i thought the Toyata GT1 could but the drag out weighs HP. I haven't delved to much into tuning the suspension yet, but it sure does make a difference. I could go on and on about this game! Improvements over GT2 are too many to list, and I have nothing but great expectations for GT4. All it needs is more! more rally, more cars, more TRACKS...PLEASE!!!

This game is sooooo cool! The graphics are so realistic that you feel like you're really at the place! All the scenery was very well put together and it looks beautiful! Also, the cars are really realistic, and the replays look like you are watching a race on television. There are some really cool special effects that were added to the replays. For example, when you are watching a replay, you can see the sun's rays reflecting off of the ground. It is really cool and they took the time to do little things. Like, in the Trial Mountain level, there are banners that say Gran Turismo 3, and they actually move with the wind! They bob up and down with the wind! I'm speechless with the simulation mode. It is awesome! You get to have your own garage and you have to get speical licenses before you are allowed to race that type of car. It is as if you are really a guy who goes out and races with other people for trophies and money. This game is awesome and I recommend that anyone buy it. The controls are the simplest thing to understand, so it's a good game for people of all ages!

gt3 is the best racing game out this is becos of the stunning gtraphics, cool gameplay and quantity in gameplay but i realy have to say that licences are annoying i had no trounle with them but what is the point? racing games need to be in front of you, in your face not, not oh well i cant do that race because im not up to scratch on it!i say that on gt4 that coming out soon they should have beastly cars beastly graphics and cool gameplay! im sure lots of people will agree with me because that is what a good racing game needs my opinion is goodbye need for who? goodbye indiwho cares and bring it on grand turismo you shocker!peace out and hope you can complete it b4 me which is proberly unlikely becos i have to complete 2 more endurence races whhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh! enjoy getting whoped by the game unlike me nah only kiddin peace out gamers.

This is an awesome game, if you havn't played it yet you have to go out and rent this game. The graphics are awesome and youca win so many things. For example, youcan win wo many different kinds of cars and you can win a whole bunch of kids of money 2 buy turbo kits soyour car willgo super fast. It is really fun because every level gets hader and harder every time so u have yo win so that you can more turbo kits ad brand new cars so you can always do better than te computer. One dislike i have for this game is that when you buy a car and then you want to cell ityou don get as muh back for it even if you've never used it. All in all, this would have to be one ofthe best games have ever played.

THis game is so < remove me > at #*! awsome i have the ralli lancer evo and it has 1200 hp i love this game.I also have all the lancer evos but they should make it so you could by spoilers and nitrous and body kits.i am really good at the rally races,but it took me forever to get the license the licenses are a pain in the < remove me > at #*
i stay up till 12:00 every night playing that game it is so awsom.i wanna get the freakin supra that car hauls < remove me > at #*but i dont have enough but im gettin soon so see ya later gt3 fans

id like to start off to say FU to those who think this game sucks. Secondly, Id like to add that its great that you cant cheat on this game. The game was made so you can further your skills in the art of driving. Also, its not like those other crappy games in which, with ease you turn, no skills required. And oh yeah? BTW mr RGT, I have the RGT by Ruf and it goes 253mph...learn how to customize..........duh. Its one of those classic games you never want to stop playing, like pac-man, or street fighter. No matter how good you may get, there is always away to top yourself. And the escudo is not the best car in the game, The escudo has HORRIBLE handling, sure it may go fast, but whats the fun in that?.....wait thats a stupid question. Every car is the best game in the game, just learn how to drive it. Customize your cars. I drive the ZZ and i dont care how you people take this, $#< remove me > at !iness, arrogance, etc.....but i have yet someone to beat me with that car....oh and even if you add all the goodies, i think you can only get like 850 and some odd horespower.....mine has 924.......figure that out....and it drifts all the time :)......customize your cars!

I have yet to find a better racing game or a better representation of car manufactuers. My favorite car to drive is the Mustang Cobra R. The fastest car (on the test course) is the Escudo by far. If you turn the gearing, both the final and auto-setting, all the way up and the TCS and ASC down to zero and the front downforce all the way down and the rear all the way up and the ride height all the way up, you can reach for the sky. I made it up to 1600-1700 MPH, then I hit the wall. The best handling car is the F686/M Formula One car. If you want a Formula One car, Do the Endurance race at Superspeedway, one of the cars you can win is the F090/S, also very fast. I have 85% done and still going strong. P.S. To get fast money, Do the Deutshe Tourwagen Challenge in the amatuer league, race and win the first four races, then save at the end of the fourth. Quit the last race and get the car. If you don't get the racing modified one, reload and try again. If you do, sell it. You should have at least 200,000-300,000 credits. P.S.S. To save money on cars you buy, have two memory cards and enough credits to fully modify the car you want to buy. First, save your game on both cards, then buy the car and fully modify it. Then save on one card, then load the other one and buy it off the other card for stock price.

If you have played Gran Turismo 1 that game is better than this one only for one reason you can paint the car. But that is it, if you have played GT1 and GT2 you have notice they are all the same only they add couple of new tracks and cars. At first in simulation mode it is nice and easy but at the end the tracks are like 200 laps long or 2 hours long so it is pretty boring and you can't paint your car. If you have 20 bucks go buy Gran Turismo 1 or Crash team Racing.But if you like games like nascar this is your game.

got it in August of 2001. But since it was an unasked for present, i haven't really played it that much. I'm about 28% complete (but i did use a cheat cartridge to gimme lots 'o' money) and, quite frankly, i will admit this is one game that has played me. Has anyone got any cheats that will end my torment? I only sit down with it about once every few months and try to complete it, so i'll be about 30 by the time i ever complete it. Really I get tired of it and want to throw it away when I lose. :( I like the graphics I found that very interesting but the rest IT SUCKS,Plus I think they work more on Graphics then Gameplay. I like the Toyota Supra thats cool i guess. And the Chevy Camero is cool,I drive one! :) But if you ask me this is kinda a Kiddy game,I am 25 years old,I love cars!

This Game Rocks. But If you get the RGT by RUF DO NOT PUT MORE THEN 600hp in it if you do it only goes 175 mph. I loved the game because it takes you in to a intire new world and the graphics are so good. I am working tords a Pedigna V12 problem is it costs $275,000.00. I think the music is ok but could be better. The GAme play is increble But the Lisens Relly Ticked me off.

I have gt3 in house and it kick my ass.My fav cars is nissan R390 race car and GT-one and i think to theese cars are the best in the game.I have got 92% and i want to play more but there are no good races more.Thanks to the sony and polyphony.

im in college, and i have been playing gt3 more than i wack it. which is a lot... i figured out some pretty neat stuff about the game. here's my first tip.. i learned that you go faster when you push "x." in fact if you dont push "x" you dont go anywhere. another helpful hint, use the directional pad, or joystick to control the car. except dont use up or down because they dont do anything. this one is very important, so take good notes. if you want to race with a car go to "home" then the "garage" then select the car you want to drive in. dont go to "specs" or press triangle. instead press the "x" when you get to the option "get in." this neat cheat allows you to digitally "get in" the car. cool! dont be fooled you aren't really inside.
although i think i pretty much covered everything, ill be on the lookout for new more advanced cheats in the coming weeks...

This game is the $#< remove me > at ! because it is the top racing game of all time. I have like all of the gt cars in the game like the gt 1 Toyota and the Fo90/s. The FO90/S is a very car to get ahold of. I am still working to get every single car and every single track in Arcade Mode. Poeple that say the game is gay or hateable needs to get there head fix.

After completing Gran Turismo 2 98% I really know this game inside-out and must say that GT3 is much more realistic. I like the effect of turbo-lag on some of the cars. Some of the cars in the game also sounds like the real thing! Graphics wise the game is a definate improvement. This game is so real that I wake up in the morning with an aching body from all the twisting and turning whilst driving my favourite Nissan GTR-Vspec < remove me > at 1053hp.
All I would like to see in this game is the option to buy a Nitrous Oxide kit (especially for the N/A cars!!!!).

Gran Turismo is better than ever, really great game. You can even fell the weight of a real car now when holding the controller and turning, and the graphics are really reaching the reallity limit, i think that, in future, Gran Turismo 7 will use real cars, foto frames, no? Ok, but the game is really great, but tell me... is it a joke the number of cars that is has? Mama mia! GT 2 has more cars! I was expecting that when i saw only 1 CD :( ...
