wierd how the site doesn't have the GCN version in the search results page | | 10k from Toronto. Canada says (24/Sep/2003): | I will be reviwing the GCN version of the game since there isn't a GCN page for this. I loved Gauntlet Legends, and this was, ok, the new characters are good. But it was much to similiar to the N64 version. they could have tweaked up the graphics a little. the game was fun, and as usua i got to level 99 with the archer and the dwarf. this is is also one of the three i got with my GCn, if you have read my reviews you would know that the three game si got with my GCN were , This, Wrestlemania X8, and Super Mario Sunshine. This game is repeatitive. hearing an arrow fire all the time gets annoying, but i still wanted to play and beat the game. This game is the greatest for the GCN because the GCN controller has the biggest and fattest A button, which is to shoot your main weapon. overall this was a pretty good game, but somethin just bothered me about it, i don't know what, but it annoyes me how you play through the same boards as the N64 version, soem are new, but most of it is ike the N64 version, its like an N64 port to the GCN. except new characters and some new worlds. but the game is still worth getting, especially if u love arcade games, you can have this arcade write in your home.
| Out of all the multi-player games that I've played Gauntlet is in my top three! | | A gamer from Pittsburgh, USA says (9/Jun/2003): | This is a fun action game and when you have the right strategies you can really have fun and beat Gauntlet at a steady pace. The only bad things in Gauntlet are it's graphics, and how the secret characters are almost the same thing as the origanal characters. It always keeps you playing, to see you characters level up and get new awsome model adjustments, get new secret items and enter new realms! Of course, even after you beat the game you always want to play more and more!!! The controls are as simple as one, two, three, and the sound effects put with the monsters are great. The bosses go from the lich of the forsaken province, to Garm of the battlefield realm. This game has a really cool story! There are tons of special items like thunder hammers or a hand of death! A level ninety-nine (Max level). is really cool and is called a legend. Before each of your battles with this guy, Skorne, you have to go through a couple of insane levels with a mass growth of guys from all the realms. Gauntlet is completely origanal and worth buying, I hope they make a Gauntlet three. I love GAUNTLET!!!!!
| Multiplayer gaming as I like it | | miles from Salisbury, England says (4/Feb/2002): | Gauntlet: Dark Legacy is one of the greatest multiplayer games to-date. Me and my buddies can spend up to three hours on this game and never get bored. Although the graphics arn't excellent the gameplay is. Your characters can do three attacks, A quick but weak one, a slow but strong one and a massive powered one. They can also use magic spells which range from electric bombs to smelly gas. Throughout the massive world you and your mates will be able to level up you characters. This will take alot of time, and when you finally get you character to LVL 99 you'll feel proud of your self. As they level up your characters will change and grow which is cool. The bosses of the game are excellent with dragons, yeti's and spiders all trying to kill you. This game will take ages to complete due to the fact that there are 40 plus levels, 8 plus characters and 20 plus items to collect, this game is marvellous. THANK YOU MIDWAY!!
| The Same old story byt why not defaet the evil and then do all over one more time | | Brian from Denmark says (8/Nov/2001): | This a game For 1 to 4 PLayers where you are going to save the world from the evil demon skorne have we heard this some were before yes we have but the story bad side are totaly foregiven when you play it whit your freind it is a fun game fore multi player action in the middel age whit Knights and whizards and also clowns so who ere you are power full wizard ore the mad clown no mather what you chosse then the games are easy because all of the classes can trow there weapon and they automatik get a new one to trow this is a easy game fore a night whit your friends.
