i love quake 3. its my fav game i have in my collection?
i didn't like the long loading times but just to play the game its well worth it! i liked the fact once you killed vadrigar there is two more levels and can unlock two more characters for multiplayer.
for people who like first-person shooters this is a must have!

Quake is a great game and me and my friend play it all the time.This was a well made game and although it takes along time to load,it is worth it to play.My fave level is Capture the flag in The House of Decay.Anyone who likes first person shootem ups should go straight to the shop and buy this!Overall,A very good game!

I cannot stress enough how lame it is when companies decide to release stuff like this for the PS2. Games like this were designed with specific functionality and playablility in mind.
The goofy PS2 controller doesn't cut it. Quake3, Halflife, and any other PC-game-turned-PS2-Game cannot utilize hotkeys, or any of the benefits of an 80+ key keyboard, not to mention how much easier it is to target something with a mouse than with the silly D-Pad or the Analog.
If you are into Unreal Tournament, Quake3, Halflife, etc. then do yourself a favor and either play it ONLY online or just get the PC version.
Sheesh.

Quake 3 is alright on PS2, but Quake 3 on the PC is much more easier. I hate the bit when you face Vadrigar on the final map. He's well unfair, because when you beat him when his life's only one, he keeps staying up the platform all the time! Quake 3 is still a great game.

Choose between Sarge, Klesk, Damia, Doom, and Akaria and fight your way through the arenas to fight the master of the arenas, Vadgnar. Use arena weapons such as Railgun, BFG 10K, Shotgun, Rocket Laucher, Gernade Laucher, Prox Laucher and Plasma Guns. Also a good amount of power ups such as Double Haste and Quad Damage. Fight with your friends in a four player screen. But don't think your the only one shooting at people because they all have goal. FRAG OR BE FRAG!!!!!
