Horrible! | | sushi man from Annapolis,MD USA says (2/Jun/2002): | This game does not make much sense...for example, in mission mode, you have to get the highest grade on both the chase mission and rescue mission to go to the final mission. In the hijacked bus mission when the bus gets trapped it will sometimes go through a building and come out somewhere else. In the first rescue mission you have to save fifteen people but can only fit at the highest 8 people in your helicopter. I am happy I did not buy the game, I rented it. I advise everyone not to buy this game.

| Worth Inspection, Not Purchase | | Halfdeaf from Ænima, TN says (24/Sep/2003): | I wouldn't say this game was 'horrible' but I would say that there are always games that are released soon after a game system comes out that are sub-par.
This game teeters ever-so-closely on "sub-par".
I am not a huge fan of using the analog sticks the way this game would have you use them. I am sure that there were a lot of guys who put a lot of time and effort into coding and rendering this title, but I think some times was wasted.
The textures are nice but have since been improved upon by other similar titles. I think the 'city crisis' theme is a but lost on certain individuals due to the close proximity to the 9/11 attacks. While none of the crises in this game are terrorist-related, the theme was a bit unsettling to my son, who is eight years old.
Gameplay was accurately covered by the previous reviewer. I would only like to add that, considering how soon after the PS2 came out that this game was released, it isn't quite 'horrible' but I see it more as something to plop the younger kids down in front of to keep them occupied.
There is a line of children's toys in the United States that sort of mirrors this game. The specified age on those toys (all themed to suit search & rescue format) is ages 7+.
HAVE FUN!
