This game has it all, literally. The originality of Grand theft auto 3 can not be described. With its indepth scenery, and missions you'll find yourself playing this game over and over again. What with its 3 intense levels that span accross the bizarre suburbal area, rich CBD and even richer outer suburbs. The levels all flow together nicely as you, (a disrespectful member of authority to say the least), battle your way past crime and betrayal. You start as a dogsbody, doing meaningless 'pick-ups' and 'bump-offs,' for the lower gangsters. But as the game progresses you become recognised all over town as an up-and-coming villian who is willing to put his life on the line for unearthly causes. Why is grand theft auto 3 one of the biggest world wide success stories of all time?? It's simple. This game gives the player a chance to do all those things that are barred by society. Good children can go home from school and suddenly turn into ruthless killers and massacreists. This outright disrespectful attitude is what, lets be honest, everyone wants at some stage in their early development. GTA 3 therefore is allowing us to legally achieve some of these aims. The vast stretch of unlawful acts range fromm beating up old ladies with baseball bats to taking on the army with a full arsenal of armoury at your disposal. It is, by far, the best game I have had the joy of playing.

Grand Theft Auto III is awesome! The graphics are superb and the missions are hard. It's a challenge and I like that in a game. I wouldn't quite conider it a friendly family game, but it's a good "Play Dailey" kind of game. GTA is also a good way to vent your anger. The only thing about GTA is that you have to understand the concept that it's only a game. In lamen terms a four year old shouldn't play the game. It's a good example of living on the streets.

All my life, I have been saying to myself, "You know, I would love to just sit back, kick off my shoes, and play a nice little video game that satisfies my fuel-driven, whore-pickin'up, ganster-style bloodlust." Apparently, the good folks at Rockstar got all my letters, because GTA 3 is it. I have the PC version, and while I despise posting reviews on website boards that are more than likely patronized by 12-year-olds, high-school dropouts, and the unemployable, I had to vent my overwhelming joy somewhere, and my girlfriend is sick of hearing about it. This game makes the best use of an Nvidia G-Force card I have seen yet. Running on an Athlon 1.2 and an Nvidia G-force 2 MX 400 (around the same as an X-box...maybe a couple steps higher), there is no lagging, no stops, and there are very few glitches. In a side-by-side with PS2, I have to say that the PC version, while maybe just a hair less smooth, is the superios version, with crisper graphics, faster load time, and (with a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad) a better control interface. (The Wingman just has more buttons). However, with all the technical stats being what they are, they pale in comparison to the storyline. So often, I (and I'm sure you have, too) have plunked down upwards of $80 of the rent money to buy a game because the graphics looked cool, only to get home and be sorrowfully disappointed by the dismal storyline, with voice acting that seems to come straight out of a high-school play. But it is obvious that Rockstar must have sold a copy or two of their previous games, because they now have the budget to hire some kickass writers, and the actors to go with it. Joe pantoliano? Michael Madsen? Hell, I'd have bought this game if it were the graphical equivalent of Pong! How often do yuo get to play along with the guys from Reservoir Dogs and the Matrix? In fact, I think I only have 2 complaints, and they are so minor that they do not deter me from the 10 rating I gave it: 1) All the characters look like they're wearing mittens (except when you give the finger to some smartmouth as you steal their car), and 2) The damage engine. Ya, OK, the cars get damaged, which is pretty sweet, but I don't think your hood would get completely dented and warped from driving into a rubber pylon at 3 MPH. But these things are so minor, and the damage quip is pointless as the cars getting smashed up is integral to the gameplay, that GTA 3 still earns a place with Max Payne, Jedi Outcast, Unreal Tournament, and Spider Man-The Movie as one of my top 5 best games ever made, if not THE best. (Granted, I still have to try Medal of Honour: Allied assault, but for now, that's my list.) Just keep the kiddies away from it.

Those vehicles are so cool you can expecially drive and just hit everything in your way with a super cool and tank and get yourself in 4 star! and if the helicopter comes you use the rocket launcher and blast it off! this exciting new game ought to be the best ever! Its awesome missions reveals its actual bloody criminaland also the graphics are 3D and are much nicer than gta 2 and 1 (of couse)with all the graphics. you can find yourself just dying and playing again and again. you totally get so absorbed in the game you forget about everything else and finish most the missions and play all day skipping all your lessons! now folks! this game is so good with awesome missions vehicles graphics can be named one of the best games i ever saw!

Grand theft auto is so original. The bombing, shooting, car driving maniac is you and you can do practically whatever you like. The graphics are perfect. Gangs try to kill you, in missions you try to kill them. And you can fly a plane, that is way out there amazing.

GTA3 has good graphics, but not great, the sound is good but nothung special. But that doesn't matter, because this game has the best gameplay and the longest lifespan out of all the games I've played. There're the important points that make a good game. Gameplay and Lifespan. And GTA3 rules in both respects. I just hope they make a sequel soon, but with more character and environment interactions.

For those of you who hate GTA3, nobody likes you. Yes, you were an unwanted child, your mom told me so.
Story: Leave it to Rockstar to come up with a simple, realistic, and brilliant story for this game. 'Nuff said.
Graphics: As good as it gets.
Gameplay: You'll be playing this game in your coffin. It has infinite replay value!
Audio: The radio is awesome! Chatterbox is my favorite! It's hilarious! Plus the Double Cleff is good for a killing spree.
Buy or Rent: Buy! Buy, or Reed Tucker will come down there and kick your a$$ with his "Dragon Stance."

The game is the best combination of skills that exists. You can drive/race, perform mind blowing stunts in a car, kill people (with fist, gun, car, etc.), have sex and the list continues. The graphic quality lacks a bit but it was one of the 1st games on PS2. The sound quality is just as good as any. It has incomparable game play. It can be played through many times and the end result can still vary. Very original, there are some imitations but they just don't compare. The difficulty level is enough to keep you interested but not so hard that it is frustrating to play. Excluding the last mission. I have been playing it for 2 weeks now and cannot succeed. Please e-mail me if you have any strategies on beating the last mission.

This is the game that made "GOD" cry.He saw the game and he said "It`s the best game i have ever seen". The game has a story,but you don`t have to follow it. In this game you can do whatever you like. Shoot some people with the sniper and see the blood come, hit a guy with a bat and while he`s on the ground hit him again. This game is definately the best game I have ever played. After I bought this game there is no other game I would buy, it has everything you can think about. The fighting, shoting, stealing and sexual contents are all spectacular. I can't wait till Vice City comes out, I heard it's suppose to be better than the No.3.

GTA3 is, in all a great game.It has idiotic storyline but who CARES?! The main things in it is cars and guns.The most fun comes from cheats and stealing cars.You do Missions for Luigi and Joey who are dweebs but still this game is amazing.

This is realy the best game that i have ever played in my life. The graphics are exellect they could not be better. THe sound effects are great too. The thing that you can fight whit the police,shoot them, steel cars, shoot people, change the coulor of the car, go to other cities is GREAT. the Worlds greatest game, rockstar is a genius to have come up with this. I never really played the first or second GTA's. Until I was at my friends and played vice, i got hooked in a snap then played GTA3, It was the greatest. This game deserves 10 stars.

At first it didnot know what to do because i bought it 4 $10.00 at GameStop,so i had to figure it out on my own!That totally rocked! see i love taking cars to that machine that picks up the car(which is never mine!) and crushes it. i really love all the radio stations especially Chatterbox (probly cuz i am 1) running over the people and hearing that squishin' noise can really relieve stress!!!! My friend (who's name i will not say 4 internet safety reasons) really loves the "Hooker Trick",becaus when she is done with her she kills her an gets her "moolah" back (all she want is the xtra health on the bar).Hint :Do Not try to get a hooker in a bulky vehicle or a taxi it doesnt work.
i have 3 fav cheats and they r 4 speed up time,change into any1,and speed up time (speed up time iz great when it iz foggy!)
i just think this iz the best game evah! Also: ya know you can stand in front of a police car and press the jump button and "take a ride on the cop`s roof" just becarful about fallin' off forward cuz you can get run over ! OUCH!!!! But my real fav thing about it iz : people ain't got knubs 4 hands!!!! Thanks 4 reading this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i like this game but its old every tyme i pley it i feel behind evvary one coz my cousin r all ahead of the game luckily i`v got grand theft auto;vice city to stey on there line anyway heres my list;graphics;8/10 a bit cartoonish at least there not fully cartoonn the game haz a glich arms/legs go frew walls.sound;thats cool how you get 9 raydio stats. in ur car.gamepley 11/10 yes there r betta gamez but this part is kooool.lifespan i`m sorry idon`t know tat gamez idea;this copies the idea of crazy taxy and driver. driver is fer revenge thoe.. anyway wen i 1st played waz wen i waz at Aarons house my couson i was playin vc 1st then i decided 2 hava go i liked it soo much at tat tyme i wud of gavit a 10 at that tyme and 2day i jusst play vice city this is prabably a ps2 original now coz itz been frowen 2 tha back

This game is the worst game that I have ever played. The missions are way too easy. The graphics are horrible, and the replay value is ZERO. After you play this game for more than 1 hour, there is no point of ever playing it again. After you beat the game, 100%, there is nothing to do. You could just walk around killing people, but that gets boring after about 20 minutes. Rockstar is one of the best video game companies around today, and it still makes a sh*tty game like this. If you want to play a good game, go play GTA2. It is more fun, more challenging, better controls, better cars, more missions, and bigger cities. Don't waste your money on this game. Rent it before you go out and buy it. I garantee that after you beat this game, you will probably never play it again.

these 3D graphics are terrific! they've got the cool and hard missions that makes it so challengins! I'd say that if you want a game you'd better buy this one! you could use guns and everything finsihing citizens off easily and killing around if you ever want a game always buy this one so I would rate this 10

this game the first day i played i wasnt interested at all i didnt even know the controls then about 3days later i was hooked.i was standing up 2inche from the screen licking my lip running from the cops.to sum it up th game will make you play it and play it and play it until you played for the millionth time.you beat it,you wanna play more.you beat it again,more playing. it seems the more you beat it the more you play because of the many different things you can do,first time maybe you beat it with an oozzi in hand. next time you beat it you have a rocket launcher a couple molitoff $#< remove me > at !tails and your gang right next to you.i'd say my favorite part of the game is when you get diaz's mansion with the helicopter on top.this game is possibly one of the greatest games made in the past decade!

i'm lovin this game. you get to drive fast cars, hit people with the car(or truck, or hummer, and best of all you get to pick people off with the drive by option this is just soooooooo cool and thats not even all you can do in this game you can also maneuver outside of the vehicle(and kill people), but watch out for the freakin police, although not as smart as vice city's cops, they can still be a real pain in the ass. the cops always show up at the wrong time !! always!! they are stupid, but NEVER under estimate them
