i liked it sooooo much,it is unreal how much i enjoyed it BUT!!! there is many things that are missing: Manuverability-being able to look and react to your surroundings easy. The Fear Effect-the way i call it and what it means is,to make it harder,make you really sweat for it,you know,when you lose you fu#< remove me > at ing lose big time,not just waking up in a hospital or a police station... and a bunch more that,to be honest,they already added in vice city,like ditching acar while it is still moving,and shooting inside cars and not only damaging the car but killing the driver... overall the best there is,was but a better will come...

GTA3 is the best game ever brung out by PS2 you can kill people on it you can drive fast cars on it fly on it with the dodo you have 3 islands in liberty cite Portland, stauton island, Shortside vale, you can do missions on it which is pretty good first in portland then stauton island then shortside vale you can get the train round portland or the tube (thats when you have you have done all the misions) the tube go's all around the liberty you have got a airport on the3rd island and in you car can liston to 8 radio stations i liston to chatter box or lips or head or flashback there is also cheats for GTA3.

Can much games create a whole simulated city with reacting people? No, but what's even more incredible is that it is also able to put different camera views, cars, people, weapons, missions, people-giving missions, as well as giving it a unique storyline and 3D structure! Basically, its got it all:

Living metropolis as well as different parts of the city

If you want to get the most out of this game, you should get the Grand Theft Auto 3 Official Strategy Guide. This book has it all- Character descriptions, and a full page on just about every mission including full maps, routes to take, and so much more. I had trouble finding it, but if you do, its definately worth it- some of the missions i couldnt beat without it!! GTA3 is the best PS2 game to come out this year, with a great strategy guide to help you out through the game.

This isn't as good as GTA:VC. But nothing is as good as the series to it, I guess. I like the way that you can do things like get on the cops nerves and everything, but I like it better on GTA:VC where, it is not just a game that you have missions. You can just do normal things like take a persons money and go by a gun with it. Ofcourse, Grand Theft Auto VC does have missions but when I got on it to play it, it was just going around hitting people. WEll I think I said more about grand theft auto vc then grand theft auto three because it is not a great game.

For those of you who hate GTA3, nobody likes you. Yes, you were an unwanted child, your mom told me so.
Story: Leave it to Rockstar to come up with a simple, realistic, and brilliant story for this game. 'Nuff said.
Graphics: As good as it gets.
Gameplay: You'll be playing this game in your coffin. It has infinite replay value!
Audio: The radio is awesome! Chatterbox is my favorite! It's hilarious! Plus the Double Cleff is good for a killing spree.
Buy or Rent: Buy! Buy, or Reed Tucker will come down there and kick your a$$ with his "Dragon Stance."

I love the GTA series and this one makes me love em' even more, better graphics, better missions and better guns! (Miss the elctro gun from GTA 2 though!)
I loved this game from start to finish and still play it now,there's just so many different things to do apart from the missions so you'll be hooked for ages.
The only thing they could of done to improve the game is maybe have more gangs,and have more of a say in what gang your in etc multiple paths through the game,but apart from that GTA 3 is a quality game,go out and buy it,kick back and enjoy!!

The first GTA games in bird's eye view were good but compared to this they look as bad as London Racer. GTA III is brilliant, there is so much to do, in so little time. There are loads of cars, loads of missions, loads of fun times to be had. But, frequent graphical glitches let the game down. But that ain't important. This is also better than the latest GTA game, GTA Vice city. See the Vice city page for my review of that too. This is a truly exceptional game which every gamer on this planet who own's a PS2 should own. It's quite cheap now too!!!

I havent played this game in ages (GTA3) but got sick acouple of days ago, so for the last few days i have been playin it flat stick again... I had 4gotten how good it was ;) The gameplay are excellent, as 2 the graphics. I wish it where that easy to steal cars and make fast cash in real life!!! HeHe
But the only thing i dont like in the game are the cops... they are too soft. You can gun it past them, run over ppl and they dont do anything... But the minute u run into there car they are all over you. HeHE ohh well what can ya do.

Calling all ps2 owners......GET THIS GAME! from asasinating drug dealers to getting prostitutes in your back seat,this game will keep ya going for ever! with its decent controls and long lastability, you will definitly be rootin' for a gta4!i wouldent give this game 100%, but, i will give it.... about 92%. i have never seen such good graphics, but it wouldent hurt if you could go into a few more buildings. i know all the cheats 4 this game. if ya wanna know how to fly, change your outfit, or drive a tank,then email me!

i'm lovin this game. you get to drive fast cars, hit people with the car(or truck, or hummer, and best of all you get to pick people off with the drive by option this is just soooooooo cool and thats not even all you can do in this game you can also maneuver outside of the vehicle(and kill people), but watch out for the freakin police, although not as smart as vice city's cops, they can still be a real pain in the ass. the cops always show up at the wrong time !! always!! they are stupid, but NEVER under estimate them

Everything good about this game graphics pics girls cars they were all good every mission is fun but hard for some took me days to finish at least one mission but still its fun and did I mention about the cars they are fast and great and good lookin almost like those girls I would recommend this game for teens and adults kids just aren't just good enough for it.The kids will learn cussing and the part where you pick up the (wink wink shabong shabong and the awooga awooga)it just wouldnt fit them to here those sounds

wow! this game is amazing, the graphics are well better than gta 1 or 2 and you don't have to have to ariel veiw. i first played gta vice city and i was impressed, so i decided to see what gta3 was like. gta 3 is a million times better, it's bigger and the challenges are better, the people have lots of character and the radio stations are great (i'm obssesed with chatterbox) i think the people who say this game is bad are boring and probably sit at home collecting stamps or something!

Well, the game it self is great. It has all the cheats you could possibly want along with a great story line. The game itself I think is more difficult than Grand Theft Auto Vice City. So to speak not so relastic to The Getaway. I liked the game because it was on a good sale when I got it which was just two days ago. I think this game can be just for any one. Yes even the little kids. Thanks again station play and RockStar games for making my thoughts possible!

I really loved the game.I liked it because the way the game was set up.The graphics were amazing!I was totaly impressed. That game will be unforgetable.The sound really acted as the people,without voices the game would be nothing.But also the cars were very cool.The texture when you got hit by another car was very cool.The blood was very...interesting.Every day when I got home I started playing.One of the best games ever made from Rockstar Entertament.

Grand Theft Auto III is awesome! The graphics are superb and the missions are hard. It's a challenge and I like that in a game. I wouldn't quite conider it a friendly family game, but it's a good "Play Dailey" kind of game. GTA is also a good way to vent your anger. The only thing about GTA is that you have to understand the concept that it's only a game. In lamen terms a four year old shouldn't play the game. It's a good example of living on the streets.
