Grand Theft Auto III makes an offer you can’t refuse: Live a life of crime and reap the rewards that come with it. The gameplay in this third installment of the now-infamous Grand Theft Auto series hasn’t changed much from its predecessors, which means it's just as addictive as before. The visual and sound package is greatly improved. And like any city, expect an enormous variety of cars to drive, each of which controls differently but still remains simple to maneuver. With so much to see and do, you’ll never want to stop playing Grand Theft Auto III, even if it is a hard knock life.

Well, lets just say this game rocks its like italian job,great train robbery, and some movie with boats and planes and rocket launchers in it and stuff woah it blew my mind. Got Virtua fighter 4 around same time (months ago) and have been on it twice. You better of completed all your other games before playing this one cos you wont want to play anything else for a long long time. btw: this game has more secret stuff than any other game i played in my lifespan. I think ill stop killing feds and piloting planed and driving cars boats and watching the bllodthristy gore that gta3 has to offer when Tomb Raider 4500 is out which starrs Lara "Wheelchair" Croft w/drip food. If you dont have this dont pay the bills this month buy it!

Grand Theft Auto III is awesome! The graphics are superb and the missions are hard. It's a challenge and I like that in a game. I wouldn't quite conider it a friendly family game, but it's a good "Play Dailey" kind of game. GTA is also a good way to vent your anger. The only thing about GTA is that you have to understand the concept that it's only a game. In lamen terms a four year old shouldn't play the game. It's a good example of living on the streets.

Grant theft Auto three is the best game i've played in my life. The graphics are amazing in all aspects of the game. At points in the game with the different types of weather it feels like your actually in a really life situation. The sound is also next to none because when in a car you get to choose what type of music you wnat to hear. From rap-talk radio it has it all. Also with real street sounds it just makes it more realistic. Gameplay is fun because you can do the missions or just cruise around and rase some hell. There are three cities and many different cars, boats, and planes. Lifespan is good if you know what your doing and plus with all the tricks and cheats you should last forever. Fun wise it is non stop fun that will last for months maybe even years. What makes game great and a big hit is that it is orginal and not copied of noone. With all the features such as the multiple cities and great looking and sounding cars it is easy to say this is the best game i have ever played. It hasen't missed a beat since the first grand theft auto. Now with all these great features you can bet i'll be the first in line for gta4.

Wow! This game is great! It's almost like you're walking around the city! almost everything has it's action! Buses, you go up small steps, people from china town talk chinese w/ english, move boxes, jump on cars, and etc! But i have one question! Could someone help me? the information booklet that came with the game says i can ride the train and the planes. But when i reach the subway station in Portland, it says it'll open later to transfer me to an island. I waited a whole day there and it didnt open! What do i do?! I'm up to Toni's meeting mission, did all of the dog bitchin food mission (the wife, staff, and bank murder mission), did all of Luigi's missions, and up to Joey's getaway mission. Thatz all the missions i did up to though, if that'll help me gain access to ride the subway.

This game has it all, literally. The originality of Grand theft auto 3 can not be described. With its indepth scenery, and missions you'll find yourself playing this game over and over again. What with its 3 intense levels that span accross the bizarre suburbal area, rich CBD and even richer outer suburbs. The levels all flow together nicely as you, (a disrespectful member of authority to say the least), battle your way past crime and betrayal. You start as a dogsbody, doing meaningless 'pick-ups' and 'bump-offs,' for the lower gangsters. But as the game progresses you become recognised all over town as an up-and-coming villian who is willing to put his life on the line for unearthly causes. Why is grand theft auto 3 one of the biggest world wide success stories of all time?? It's simple. This game gives the player a chance to do all those things that are barred by society. Good children can go home from school and suddenly turn into ruthless killers and massacreists. This outright disrespectful attitude is what, lets be honest, everyone wants at some stage in their early development. GTA 3 therefore is allowing us to legally achieve some of these aims. The vast stretch of unlawful acts range fromm beating up old ladies with baseball bats to taking on the army with a full arsenal of armoury at your disposal. It is, by far, the best game I have had the joy of playing.

This is the best game i have ever played. I went to a party and the person who was running it had this game for a present, and the first go i had on it, i was hooked!! Then, for an easter present i asked for this instead of eggs, and I made the right choice by far. I have never been off this game apart to sleep and go to school. The games ability to free roam around and do what ever you is what i like most, it has almost no restrictions in what you do! The graphics are superb, if you to a five second glimpse at it, you would think it is a t.v programme. you can have the most fun you have had on any other game beaten by far even if you play on this for five minutes. The realistic sounds and graphics are like no other. The echo in ally way are like real, the sound of rain and weather are real, and even if you shoot some thing to gun shoot sound real. When you get soot the amount of life it takes off is like what it would in real life, and the selection of guns are brilliant. All in all I give this game ten out of ten and recomend it to any one who likes free roaming games and has quite a bit of time.

This game is the worst game that I have ever played. The missions are way too easy. The graphics are horrible, and the replay value is ZERO. After you play this game for more than 1 hour, there is no point of ever playing it again. After you beat the game, 100%, there is nothing to do. You could just walk around killing people, but that gets boring after about 20 minutes. Rockstar is one of the best video game companies around today, and it still makes a sh*tty game like this. If you want to play a good game, go play GTA2. It is more fun, more challenging, better controls, better cars, more missions, and bigger cities. Don't waste your money on this game. Rent it before you go out and buy it. I garantee that after you beat this game, you will probably never play it again.

This game is stunning! The graphics and game-play are what dreams are made of. Lets face it in how many game do you have to kill, maim and steal your way up the criminal ladder. Not many! Youn start in Portland. This is the industrial zone. Here you will find the docks, the red light district, ware houses, factories, markets, garages, as well as some useful suppliers. These are Luigi, Joey, El Burro, Marty Chonks, Toniand the Don, Salvatore Leonne. These jobs are mostly easy and low paying but when you work for Salvatore it gets harder but the money is much higher. In Portland there are three main gangs - the Mafia, Triads and the Diablos. You work for the Mafia and Diablos. Portland is full of pimps, hookers, labourers, dock workers and general scum. You have worked for everybody and are betrayed and wanted of the cops. You have to get out so where do you go Staunton Island . Staunton Island is the central buisiness district. You work for Asuka, Kenji, Ray, Donald Love and King Courtney. A chance to earn some serious money but the jobs get a lot harder than the previous island. To make things worse there is some more gangs waiting for you. They are the Yardies, Yakuza and Columbian Cartel. You have worked for everyone but three of the employer want you to stay on- the other one is dead. Get your butt to Shoreside Vale. This is where the rich people live but is where the hardest missions take place. You are still working for Asuka, Ray and Donald Love. The money is great and Ice-d want a word on the phones in Wichita Gardens. Where is it going to all end? The is a variety of Transport and Weapons waiting for you but do you feel lucky punk, well do you?

This is is amazinly brillant. The weather effects, details, gameplay, sounds, etc.. make this game my favorite PS2 game that I have. What a great job Rockstar did and I give them credit. I cant wait till the next release hopefully!

This game rules. I was never really a big GTA fan but after I played this game I can't wait for the next. It may be a kind of dark game but it is still fun. It is cool just walking around and killing whoever you want. You can steal any car. It has a huge enviroment. The graphics will amaze you. You can choose from a large selection of weaponry. The swear words and inappropriate language gets out of hand though. The cars and realism of them are incredible. The missions kick and there are lots of them. There are even pretty good codes for this game. The character you play as is cool and cool looking. The gameplay gets boring during the really hard missions. I absolutely love this game.

When I first heard about this game, I told myself that it was going to be to fun. I rarely buy a game without either renting or playing it before deciding to buy it. This was different, from the onset of playing it, just seeing the people walking down the streets, people talking and reacting, and hearing ambiences, they just made me crazy and all tingly. The craziest things would happen while playing, seeing a mugging in process, a mini or large scale gang war, or the paramedics singing songs that you could listen to while driving around. Oh, and that brings up the fact that are like 8 different music stations to meet your music fixes (It was cool hearing the songs from Scarface while pulling drivebys). The missions were entertaining and rarely boring (although some of the were hard, but I like how none of the later missions were easy as the first). I'm still occasionaly pop this game in and play it. Now, for a couple of "hiccups". First,the graphics of the actual people weren't that great, but they sufficed. Second, they had a couple of pop up problems that occured. But these in no way hinder the over greatness of this game. If you don't have this game, go out and buy it! You'll be surprised by how many things you can do. (I still haven't figured out how to fly) Enjoy!

Grand Theft Auto well when i played this game the very first time i thought to myself im going out tommorow to buy this game. this is the best game ever and will be for a long time. i have completed it twice and im still not getting board of it. i recomend this game to any one who is looking for a great laugh. i have had no problems with the game. the graphics are amazing the game play is great fun running around stealing cars killing gangsters and inocent old grannies working foe the mafia, diabilos, columbian cartel, yakuza, yardies and the people who want you to work for them. as well as working for the gangsters you can also be a copper paremedic firefighter or even a taxi driver. the missions are challenging as well as exciting and you will never get board of it. bring your mates over and get stoned silly and chill out with a spliff and grand theft auto 3. the graphics are like no other game and are as smoth as no other either there are no glitches in the game. the sound of the dodge viper and the porshe 911 are like music to your ears and the radio stations are for everyone from rap to opera and from pop to hardcore jungle. you can get around in olmost eneything tank car bus train subway foot and even plane. i suggest that all you people out for a laugh go out and buy this game its worth the money so get out there and buy it.

Can much games create a whole simulated city with reacting people? No, but what's even more incredible is that it is also able to put different camera views, cars, people, weapons, missions, people-giving missions, as well as giving it a unique storyline and 3D structure! Basically, its got it all:
Story
Graphics
No invisible boundaries
Weapons
Cars
Living metropolis as well as different parts of the city
Different reacting people
Weather
Night/Day
Its good! Its great! You can go on killing sprees every single day! Punish all who oppose you! Its awesome! Its just plain cool!

I must say the game is brilliant and everything i want in an action adventure, but people...it is called the "crime simulator" Are we this desensitized to our own morals that we will subdue our minds in this sespool of lust, greed, violence, murder, and theft? Believe me, this was a tough descision for me - you have to draw the line somewhere between fun and games and just outright sick. I know the effects of 911 have changed a lot of peoples hearts in this but i for one am not swayed by that event. This game is brilliant, graphics are breath taking, and game play is very addicting. But does this justify our acts in secretly playing "another life" as some gamers say. Even if you think i am just full of hot air, you are influenced by what you see and hear. remember that. Australia was right in banning this game.

This game is, to quote Snoop Dogg, "Off the Heezy for Sheezy". It is insanley long if you just do all of the missions, but there is so much more to it then just that (Finding all 100 hidden packages takes awhile, not to mention doing all of the unique jumps). I will find myself attempting a mission but failing because some imbecile sideswiped the car that I had to take to the garage, causing it to flip over and burst into flames. If this happened in another game you would have to take your anger out on your poor, defensless couch. With GTA3, you can pull that < remove me > at #$%&*! out of his car, take his car, then repeatedly run him over with it. Talk about stress relief. Bottom line, Buy this game if you have not already.

My view on grand theft auto 3 is an overall good but there are a few aspects of the game that could be improved.When I first set eyes on grand theft auto 3 I fell in love with it, because I have had the previous gta 1 and gta 2.The previous two have been in 2D but gta 3 was in 3D which was much better.I think it should have been alot longer then it is but never the less this game is a must have.The graphics are unbelieveable especially the all time weather effects.The car's almost look real as do the crash effects, but there is still something about it that makes it just not real.The sound is ok but there is room for improvement.The car's engine noise doesnt sound real it could do with some more pronounced gear changes.The radio stations a brilliant especially chatterbox that is such a laugh. In my view the gameplay is good.The cars handling is realistic and the peoples movement in the game are brilliant.The lifespan of the game is ok but it could do with being a bit longer in my view.I dont think this game is original because there have been two others out before it.This is a game I would recommened, a definate buy!

Calling all ps2 owners......GET THIS GAME! from asasinating drug dealers to getting prostitutes in your back seat,this game will keep ya going for ever! with its decent controls and long lastability, you will definitly be rootin' for a gta4!i wouldent give this game 100%, but, i will give it.... about 92%. i have never seen such good graphics, but it wouldent hurt if you could go into a few more buildings. i know all the cheats 4 this game. if ya wanna know how to fly, change your outfit, or drive a tank,then email me!

this game rocks any game all over the court. This is the best game the graphics are great but not only that I love being a ganster. Killing the people is the best part. I just bought the game and wasted 1024 people in that same day. I use the side walk as the street and kill every bitch in the road (sidewalk). Over all this game kicks any game.
