This game is cool because I have a playstation 2 and I can finally play it but it is so much different from Harvest Moon: BTN. I really wish you could get married, and also, when you win the game and start over, everyone should remember you and you should continue with their relationships.

Okay, this game was wow. Well, at least the graphics were. So were the sounds and the music. But I have to ask. Where have all my little sheep gone? This game was amazing, but part of the fun of all the previous ones, was that you could marry and have kids and stuff. I like the endings, though. They're cute. I don't like the main guy's ponytail. It bounces. C'mon, who hasn't noticed it flopping like a fish??
Oh, yeah. I just thought everyone who keeps saying how great it would be to be a girl on these games, would like to know that Natsume did make a game like that. It's called Harvest Moon Girl, or something like that. It's the same as Back to Nature, but you're this blonde girl in overalls who woos the guys, has a pink on pink house, and talks in fluent Japanese. I can only understand some of it. Oh, and it's only out in Japan, so if you don't mind not knowing what the people are saying when they propose to you, go buy it!

I have all the Harvest moon games for all gaming devices ( Not meaning to show off but i have all gamong devices) And i say that the Harvest Moon : Save The Homeland is one of the BEST of all of the harvest moon game's! I am a cheater but Ill say if you dont have the harvest moon cheats you need them there are a good verity of them and the game is longer in time and you can get more money with the cheats. ect...ect

I think Harvest moon is the best Serious in the whole entire World! I have to say that I'm a Harvest moon number one fan!I have all the Series of it.Even though I am only 11 years old I never get tired of any HM series.That's why I always vote it 10.If there were higher then a 10, I'll choose the highest!

this is a great game...but REALLY short i mean comon natsume i beat the game in 1 hour...u can do better than that. the best part of the game was probaly the horse. which is hard to get unless you do nothing the first month except give ol' farmer bob honey and such. and i think that u culd MAKE your farm. besides the kitchen and doggy house i think u shuld have to build your house and your chick. coop etc. if natsume make a new game u culd make it so good! i mean id give it 10 stars if u added something like georama mode. this game is good. more animals wuld be nice like piggys and sheep..''baah'' if u add these few things id appreciate it thank you natsume...

natsu me this is possibly the worst game u have made. i dont mean to be to harsh or any thing its just really harvestmoon64 owns this game if u know wut i mean. i know u can do better...i mean i agree with other faqs about the boy girl factor...and if u dont happen to add this at least add a dress factor..i mean comon wut the heck is with the toy hat? or a georama mode like make yur own house..or move and but furniture like in animal crossing..and if u add a date/marry factor woohoo make this game lotz betta...the fishing SUCKS i catch boots and cans most of the time..and kids wuld be nice if u dont wanna make an adult game wer you have to get your groove on with a lady to get a kid if u know wut i mean..haha then add a adoption building or somethin...all in all this game suks no offense......i wuld've given it 1 star if u culdnt get a horse and ride him around town...which i say is ok...add it in your new game if thier is one.PLEASE and make it for ALL counsles..well atleast both GC and PS2..because i hate GC and dont p[lan on buying one which suks because u made the new harvest moon for it...and looks pretty good too....all iom trying to say is do better please...thanx

This game has great graphics and sounds. But it's not much of a challenge. I am normally a huge fan of Harvest Moon games, except for the way the time passes, I always hated the fact if you walked down one road a half hour or more would pass. I don't expect it to go by our time or we'd be there for hours, but to slow it down a little would be nice. Anyway, I gave Harvest Moon Save the Homeland 4 stars b/c of the graphics and such, but honestly it wasn't very challenging. I would like to see a more thought out game with more things to do like getting a job at a store and doing things real people do.

I think that this game is the best I have never really tried playing Back to nature.But I'm pretty sure that I'll like Save the Homeland better.The game doesn't allow you to get married that's unfair,but all in all it's a great game.

Am i missing something here? This game has good graphics and good music, but, you can't get sheeps, fishes(for pets), and worst you can't get married!! I give this a 1, but it's lousy and not very good, it's not much of a challenge, and another thing is don't get a hot spring or a mine or any mayors or festivals, or mini game, so this game sucks, I'm sorry to say, but if you want a good game where you can play that game for hours and hours, buy Harvest Moon:Back to Nature, this game rocks!!! It's better then the homeland

I really liked the game and all but Natsume please consider making a new one.... The game was alright but too easy and you cant get married.... Getting married was the best part of the other ones how could you remove that???? I enjoyed playing it and all but the one for super nintendo was alot more cool like you could "get married" and have festivals, and golden tools and other stuff. Also nobody buys game cubes everyone has ps2 so consider making your new one for ps2 not game cube. Try again Natsume........

1st of all you need to get married that is what was so great about the others.
2nd you need more animals cows chickens a horse and a dog that you have to earn.
3rd I agree with all the other reviews in saying that YOU NEED A BOY AND A GIRL VERSION!!!
4th You also need to have kids/babies and more things to build onto ure house with like in Harvest Moon 64 (the best one I've played so far)
5th This one is to simple, no festivals, no in game activites (other than fishing, which in this game sucked!)and nothing that great about the plot ethier.
The only thing I actually say I do like in this game is the fact that when you get your horse you can ride it around the town.
Make another one Natsume and this time dont mess up...

this game is the best, but i wish it had dating and marrying. some kids say that you CAN get a date....but i dont belive them cause i tried. i wasted the month of fall by giving full moon berries and she didn't even say "I LIKE YOU" to me. anyway, i SURE DO WISH that HM: A WONDERFUL LIFE comes to PS2 instead of GC.

I give this 8 stars beacuse of many things, 1st of all you can't get married/dates. 2nd, you can't get any babies/kid. 3rd you can't have sheeps. Now that get. I mean this game is so easy to beat, all you have to do is buy ONE tomato seed, plant it, and when it grows, give it to Kurt and you'll be friends with him and he'll tell you about the butterfly and stuff, and then you have to be good friends with Lyla and that plant boy, after your good friends with them, all you have to do is find the blue flower and get and that will be the end of the game. So boring, please Natsume, can't you make another Harevst Moon game better then this? come on am I missing something here?
Harvest moon fans, sorry to disapoint you......the new Harevst moon is coming out, but ONLY for GAMECUBE, so if you have a gamecibe your lucky but if you don't too BAD:( So over all this game a 1 sorry, wait why am I sorry? I'm not sorry, I didn't make this game, so Natsume make a better version PLEASE, and do something about the sex, where you can choose to be a boy or a girl, beacuse if your a girl playing it, it would not feel right playing as a boy, and flirting with girls. And make this game for PS2 too, not gamecube. Natsume make the new Harvest moon game for PS2 please, beacuse the new Harevst Moon: A wonderful Life is alot better and has a mixture of everything, like you can get sheeps and pigs and other animals, and ypou can get poodles or labradors or and other dogs from before, and you can choose to be a girl in this game or a boy, and you can have a child in this, so please make one for PS2 please. If you make this game for PS2 I'll promise you that my stars will go up 10 beacuse the new one rocks and I don't want to have to buy a gamecube just to play it. So please.........maybe you don't like PS2 people but please make it for PS2.......

This game is pretty good, and just as addicting as the first Harvest Moon. It has alot more detail in the graphics, and the plot is more complex. I cna't help missing the first game. I miss the festivals, getting married, having a kid, having a REAL BEDROOM, and hiring the harvest sprites to work for you. Why can't you get married!?! That was the best part of the first Harvest Moon.

I like the game and all, but u need 2 b able 2 get married and the people need to remember you, y else du u need to make a profile? I also think you can have a choice of a boy and girl. Personally I think that u need to take care of other animals, like pigs. And have a pond so u can have fish in your own farm. Otherwise, It's a good game!

Harvest moon save the home land is a really fun game to play. The graphics, sounds, pictures are good. But the only thing bad about it is that you can't marry the girls :( That really would be cool if you could choose to be a girl or a boy to play with so if you were a girl you could choose to marry a boy and same goes for boys, BUT GIRLS ONLY, NOT BOYS. I play this game everyday and every night. I have a kitchen and a dog that has a red bandana (collor). I have 2 cows and going to have 3 cows beacuse one of them is pregnat, a few chickens, and a horse.

Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland, is the best one I've played yet(i've played the one for the gameboy color, psone, and 64) for the graphics and creativity. the graphics are a lot better, being in a 3d environment, and I like being able to ride my horse all over town:). The endings are very cute and so are their plots. Some events are more challenging than others, which keeps you interested longer than the other Harvest Moons. The bad sides are that you can't have a family(get married and have a kid), there's no sheep(i like sheep), it's a little less challenging, and also there's no real mini game events(besides fishing). That's what I thought when I compared it to the other games. but i think it would also be cool if the characters talked and they had a girl version. Other than that I love cooking and riding my pony and making friends. It's such a cute game, that I just can't resist SAVING MY HOMELAND!!
