My opinions and a little help | | Alex Llamas from Columbus Junction, Iowa says (24/Nov/2005): | Finally after about an year I have beaten TXR ZERO.This game was one of the best racing games I have ever played.The reason why I gived it a 9 rating, is cuz of the wanders.The music was okay.This game is really,really cool.So many cool cars with parts that look cool.The hardest wanders were #333 #341 the one with the dog sign and "Tomorrow Again". To unlock #333 is to get the license plate to "Naniwa". To get #341 is to have 25 cars in garage.To unlock the one with the dog sign & his car get a stock engine.Hey that's what I did.To unlock "Tomorrow Again" you have to have a level eight exhaust.My main car in TXR is the Porsche.It has around 2600 miles and rarely it has lost.It is build up all the way I think.I still can't beat#400 in a straightaway. He's the strongest competition for my Porsche.The only one wanderer that I can't unlock is "Garage Door".Someone unlocked it for me when I was gone.My AE86 can beat "Red Devil"in the first course.So can my Mazda Rx-7 FC.The graphics were awesome.
| only three still arond to defeat | | anthony thompson from colorado springs colorado, USA says (9/Jun/2005): | ha ha ha ha ha ha i've been going from web site to web site and reading people comments about the game and i would have to agree with them this game kicks < remove me > at $$ this is one of the best racing games i have played. then like my title says i only have three racers to defeat they are a wanderers named ''tommorow again'' and ''loyal kanight'' then like every one else the last racer.so if you have any information on how to defeat these fools post it up on the webb. and just to note that the car i've been using is the speed kings car it has 204, 043 miles on it and during battles no matter how badly i mess up ( which it's kinda hard not to do wheen going 269 mph in the traffic)but yeah the car has 1200 mph and can have mor but its all i need but when you have a car that has that much milage you loose no sp no matter what you do or how far behind you get so it's pretty easy to get a lot of money when you challeng a racer and just stop and go to 7-11 and get a drink or somthing comback and race and win like 30,789 dollars. so if any body knows how to defeat the two wanderers tell me and i'll tell you how to defeat any two wanderers that you havet yet to defeat. thanks

The bubble car (ratt) 70 ps And it knocks out more than mine HUH
thats not right. I have compleated the game and thought ILL get da Bubble car it struggles to get to 175 hows that work then.But I like the game its good and what every 1 says about the sky line is the fastet I DONT THINK SO. The dodge viper is sorry to say is far better than the lot mine on a straight go`s 313mph and that aint flat out. The skyline is still a hell of a car it has far better and handling,as the viper handles like a boat.Im also finding it hard to get all wanderers i need few more but it keeps me occupide for a wile its a good game and im hoping the 3rd 1 is just as good. another thing that bugs me on da game is the music god its sounds like im playing a mega drive a lot of my mates have the game and say the same thing

But game is cool | | Clyde Coffee from Orlando (Florida) USA says (15/Sep/2004): | I've been playing this game for like ever and I just noticed the names and embles on the cars are faux.("faux" means "fake", prenounced "foe") See, I was putting a rear bumper on my Mitsubishi Eclipse and I noticed that it said "ESCIPSE", not "ECLIPSE". And the Mitsubishi emble is a triangle. And the same thing with the Nissan Silvia; on the back it said "OLIVIA" instead of "SILVIA". And the Type-R Hondas (ex: Accord EuroR, Integra TypeR) are not Type-Rs; Its Type-P. And you know, the real Honda "H" emble looks something like this:\-/. But all I saw was this:\ /. And tha Accord EuroR,it looks different from the ono on Gran Turismo 3. It looks "fat", ant the tail lights act differently (I like the T-lights). They really screwed up the Lancer Evo III , its really ugly. CRAVE Entertainment made the Evo III look like it crashed into an ugly wall. And they gots this ugly mini van in the class C area. Who in the world would race with a mini van? Whats the deal with all the fake names and embles? Besides all that, The game is really fun and the Wierdos at CRAVE Entertainment need to get the names right in TXR4
| Best all around racing game period | | Scott Gemperline from Ohio, USA says (7/Sep/2004): | i have played many racing games for every platform out there... and although the wanderer's are troublesome it adds more to the game. my personal feeling is that it only needs one thing...online capability. i have used all the cars on the game... i am on my 20th run through on the game and i have a basic skyline r34rvm tune without the mileage mods to run 256mph and a viper that'll do 270. its all in the gear ratios :). and yes if you are a good mechanic in real life it applies very well and easily to this game. i have played all the need for speed line...all the test drive games, etc. by far this is an awesome game. and being a die hard nut i like the fact that there are no cheats, unless you game shark it...but even that if not done properly will foul up your game. as far as a personal favorite on the cars... the crx that i have...gears will run it up to 200mph...not bad for a class c. this is highly detailed and visually engaging game. another fun car is the old school 240z that you win when you defeat the last guy.

I dont know idiots like you had ever watch the fast and the furious or 2 fast 2 furious. u can see in that movie a supra can beat a ferarri 355 spider and you also can see most of the american use japanese cars. moreover an evo 7 can beat an american mussle. so wake up please... dont be a bone head forever. Yes, I agree with some of you in that some Japanese cars are very good. But you must be crazy to think that Skylines or Acuras are the best cars ever. Ever heard of Ferraris or Mercedes Benzes? This game is very badass though. The only thing that sucks is the stupid ass wanderers who won't race you even though you've bought like every car there is. The fastest car I've SEEN (not saying it is)is Speed King's Skyline. I have tweaked it to like 2800 lbs. and 1258 hp. It goes 263 tops. Oh yeah and one other thing, those of you who claim to have cars that go thousands of miles an hour, I would like to see you prove it. Good luck with those damn wanderers. Another thing for you retards who think Japanese cars are God's gift... start seeing a psychiatrist and stay off the idiot fuel. If anyone has any tips on how to beat wanderers and you're not offended by my very true remarks about Jap cars, please be sure and post you're info on this site.

Ive beaten it about three times. Two of the times i had about 20 wanderers left and the last racer, number 400. The last time i beat it, June 28, 2004, i beat every person on that thing, i had about an 80 to 83 percent win percentage and i beat number 400 on my FIRST TRY. He's about four or five times harder than the speed king. I had the speed kings car and had it fully upgaraded except for the level 7 engine, level 8 muffler, and the level 5 body tune. The only advice that i can give to u is that u better hope that number 400 runs into the back of a transfer and after that runs into those yellow things that stick out of the hazard lane on the highways like he did when i straight whooped him. lol. Oh yea and the guy that said he could beat anybody who raced him with that purple meteor car, i would really like to see him race me, Dustin Stephenson, 16, NC, Rockingham Count High School. The best car to start out with is the CE9 or the CE9A, the one thats only about 14,800 or so dollars. Then get the Viper and u can pretty much beat about all those cars that on the straight aways. Then beat the Speed King with the CE9A, the car that u start out with like i did. But to beat the game search for wanderer requirements on a search engine. That is the ONLY way to beat the game cause u wont figure it out on your own, seriously.

The car was fast, i could push the car up to a high speed. Anyway the game is terrific, i like the graphics especially the replay mode with two nice musics. Besides, the cars are awesome, especially the speed king and the red devil (skykline R34). However, it will be better, if the wanderers could accept my challange without meeting any extra criterias which were quite troublesome. As for my personal overall evaluation, the game is good and it will be the best for those who like street racing and the art of car modification. Anyway, i started the game with evolution 3 because it was cheap and quite powerful for starting. When i have enough money after defeating all the rival, i managed to change a better and more powerful vehicles. Hence, if i can play through internet, because i like beating people out from the game so i can say that it will be a nightmare for those who try to challenge me as your ass will be kicked by my customized "Speed King" a.k.a "Speed Wanderer".

YEAH!!! | | Richi-kun from Van Nuys, CA, USA says (25/May/2004): | Y'all might think the skyline GTR or all the Hondas and JDMs kick ass in TXR Zero(better known as Shutokou Battle Racing Zero in Japan), but you are all forgetting about the best cars in the game which I would say the German cars. The Porsche 911 Turbo is the most unbeatable, even without the final upgrade acquired with the mileage trick. It is invincible, even against the legendary racer from the end of the game. The top speed of the Porsche is 263 mph and it is faster than the Red Devil or Speed King skyline. Besides the Porsche, my favorite car is the BMW M3. Now I don't give a sh*t if you think this car sucks, but it is the best for the Kanjou area and Yokohama area, as long as it is properly tweaked. If this had an internet option (which there is in Japan), I'd whoop your ass with German cars. Now I never said JDMs are inferior 'cause I have respect for these cars because without JDMs, street racing and every other sports cars out there would not have been as popular as they are today. That includes German cars. As of myself, I would have never developed a passion for cars if street racing was never popularized. TXR Zero has kept that feeling inside me that seeks the thrill of street racing and sports cars. Other than that, GERMAN POWER.
| Game Kix Ass | | Mark B. from Massachusettes says (25/Jan/2004): | this game is the shi* i recommend it to any player the only that is stupid is the wonderers i have no idea on how to beat them all or for that matter actually get challenged by them all, if anyone has any advice or can help me i will really apprcieate it. another thing is i need help with the gear ratio thing i have a skyline that has 920 hp but i can only get it to go 206 mph if anyone can help on the gear ratios, or can give me a tip on how to make them faster i would appriciate that as well. people say it is better than gran turismo 3 and need for speed underground .... i dont know about that it would probabaly beat gran turismo but need for speed nope that game kix ass too but tokyo extreme racer zero is a one of a kind game that should be bought by every racing game fan in the world because that game like i said already is the shi*. the best thing about this game i would say is the selection of cars and cusomization it is really in depth and is realistic. The bad stuff is that you cant drag in the quest mode that would of made it beat need for speed underground in my case. So over all; gameplay 8-10, graphics 9-10, entertainment 9-10, length 9-10, and overall 8 1/2-10 good game and im looking forward to more in the future well goodbye and happy gaming :-)

Lower your ride as much as possible,it will upgrade the balance of the car.You should get the best tires possible, exspensive but it WILL pay off. Then get a body tune,that increases stability, then get thr grr in your car by putting a transmition tune and the best motor NOW you have a car to race and WIN,i took a TYPE_CE9A car then put all the best thgings on and after 34 hours of real playing it goes 226 mph, and the car only costed 14,250$ at first,but it took about 175000 dollars though, EMAIL ME IF U CAN TELL ME WHERE SPEED KING IS...mixmanx< remove me > at vfr.net, BEWARE, the first 4-5 of the 13 devils are easy, but HOUND DOG is extremely hard, he is #7 but, he turns horriboly, so take the inside lane. AND make sure you buy a muffler or aircleaner to match THE MOTOR, if you dont you could loose upto 40hp!!!!

I don't know what the real world equilivent is supposed to be but with the best tune-ups I can get, I've beat White Chrisma and all but 19 wanders. I haven't seen the legendary driver, BUT I guarentee that in a race I'd blow the doors off 9 out of 10 cars you guys throw together. The top speed on Meteor's ride can be 246 which isn't as high as some of the rest of you are saying But it accelerates faster then any car in the game that I've seen (except the end car I'm guessing) I can take off 0-170mph in 3 seconds and you can't tell me that's not fast. I know about turbo and tranny setting but what are the best ones? Seems like your always have to trade acceleration for top end, is that true? This game is the coolest racing game to come down the pipe in a long time, it beats the feathers out of all gran turismo underground because the race setup is so much more realistic. But my QUESTION is how do I get wanders to race me and whats the best car in your opinion? Thanks

I have beaten this game 4 times and it is awsome and I am working on TER3 600 racers and 3 tracks it is tough but I love it. Please put TOkyo Extreme question in the title. I will answer it as soon as I can I have played this a bit and know about wanderers and final engine mods and easy ways to beat people in races. I am not very good a TOkyo 3 yet but give me time. Like i know that the fastest and easiest car to handle before Speed King is possibly the RX-7 or Lancer. And that the easiest way to beat the Zodiacs and Devils its to let your car rack up milage and get the top Mods on Engine and muffler then start whipping Arse. Like the easiest way to start is to use the Lancer that is close to 15,00 dollars and going from there.

This game has it all the body kits, rims, engine mods, and the cars. Of course the people out there think that the fastest car is the Speed King's Skyline well then you never even beat the game buddy!!!!!! If you beat the game then you would know about the DATSUN it is the fastest car in the whole game nothing can beat this car buddy!!!!!!. If you think you car is fast prove it What do you run in the 0-400 meter timed run. If you run 10's cool, 9's alright, 8's wow your getting there, 7's your almost there, 6's wow now you may run with Team Dubya. This game is cool the only thing it needs is some American Muscle like Tokyo Extreme Racer 3. That game includes 68'Mach 1, Firebirds, and Vetts now thats what I'm talking about. My Vett kills the imports and shows them what Real American Muscle can do. NOS is nothing compared to an all motor. I've seen alot of race's where it's all motor vs. nos and motor can beat the one's with NOS. If don't believe it then you my friend don't know anything about cars. So people think that you can go past 263 no it's the top speed in the game. and if you have show me i want to see it. Does anyone know when TOKYO EXTREME RACER 01 comes out I wish to Know? Does anyone play gt2& gt3v~spec? But TERZ is the best game I've played. I give it 2 thumbs up.
