Who has beat The Garage Door? |

I am the the TXR Zero champion. I've beat the game 4 or 5 times, but have yet to beat, or even race, The Garage Door. He's the Wanderer that drives the dark red Supra. Has anyone raced him? What am I doing wrong? Someone let me know.
TXR Zero is the best street race game out there. Gran Turismo 3 would top it if you could change the body kits but your stuck with the stock body. And what fun is that? They are 2 totally different driving games so you really cant compare too much with them. The car graphics are top notch. The glowing rotors, the shinin' wheels, the gauge pods on the dash visible thru the rear view and the reflections on the paintjob. Everything is on point, but the turbo boost should be able to go alot higher. Now im trying to win $10,000,000 by the time I get to White Charisma, I think thats the last RX 7's name.
When you can beat The Speed King in a 300hp civic hatch back, you can compete with me.

i love this game. the grphics are realistic and everything about the game is real. I need about 35 wanderers to go. Everytime i wanna race one they cancel the battle. My car is the speed kings car.My max is 211. does anybody knows how to make my car go faster. This game is great!! As for the NOS neede... Oh my... Do you know what NOS means? Nitrouse Oxide Systems... Its not an actual Nitrouse... Man some one has been watching a bit too much of Fast and the Furiouse... (by the way, that movie sucked for any real street Racer! cars are hot but moive and acting sucked.. They also didnt know jack about $#< remove me > at ! car blowing up because of nitrouse thats funny...) I had a car catch on fire because i blew a 50 shot of Venom in my 1997 240SX SE and it didnt blow up. Dumb asses... Oh and for that guy Venom is another form of a "Nitrouse Oxide Systems". But back to this game!! Its by far great! If only they were able to use the real names! If the game used the GT3 engine it would be the $#< remove me > at !! Get it! MAKE ANOTHER ONE SOOON!!!

so far i have beat the speed king and the other white car that is tha leader of tha zodiacs i just cant get all of tha wonderers to race me and thats why i havent beat tha whole game yet oh and you need to make a number two of this one with more upgrades like audio systems and allthe music from the other regions from the world. we need tha nos tanks and some euro lights and tha glow lights under tha car and actually be able to watch the new engines be dropped in. you also need to put in a view of the dashboard while your in side the car with all the gages. oh yeah we need to be able to change the interior around and be able to put graphics on the cars. you also need to put in a drag strip to test our cars on against other players on the game.

I played this game for the first time, and its one of the only games that I stuck with until the end. People who tune imports need to take a look at "Night Warriors" dvd extra because people here seem like they are more dedicated to the looks of their cars and less dedicated to the sport. Basically if the tuners here knew anything they would be worried about full functional racing equipment rather than stupid looking tail lights, ect... This game is basically a very good translation of what street racing is supposed to be in REAL LIFE.

Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero was a very exciting and fun game when I 1st played it. But it only took 2 weeks to beat the game. Once I beat it was not fun to race against opponents. The game gets very monotonous and boring. The graphics are o.k but not great. The music is fine and plays a variety of music. The best part of the game is modifying parts like body kits and changing colors. I have over 40 cars in my garage but the best car to start with is the Nissan Skyline R33 when u get enough money. The worst part is that it is unrealistic and there are not enough settings options. This game was worth the $20 I spent but no more than that. The only thing it has over Gran Turismo A Spec is the option of putting bodykits on the cars. I also think that nitrous is for ricers.

I give this game a nine because everything is perfect except for the track datail. The detail of the cars is really tight and i cant stop playing this game . I purchased mine for only 12 bucks at a game exchange what a rep off for who ever traded this game in. I am on the third Zodiac and i just blow past them when they challenge me.I have A Skyline Gt-R is has all modifacations done to it 1104 hp i have maxed out at 301 before only once though.If any one has ever beaten this plaease email me at R151025< remove me > at yahoo.com i have questions about the 400 car and the remaining Zodiacs. I have a small secret for whom ever cant even get pass a wander maybee you should purchase a gameshark there is a cheat that starts your new game off with 10,000,000 dollars. i havent used it because i was to far in the game just to star over but i would reccomend that to any that is also hust starting the game.The best car to buy is speed king car if you supe it up right it gets to 1200 hp. These are all the reasons i love this game but not better than Grand Theft Auto Vive City Almost though

Well, I have to say Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero is probably the best game on my shelf. And its standing right next to grand turismo 3. That game sucks. This game doesn.t The only thing I don't like about it, which explains my nine out of ten, is that when you slow down a lot, it takes so much to accelerate its very frusterating. But 125+ customizable cars and half a thousand opponents make this game, along with immense AI and graphics, one of the best racing games out. And its only $20 ;)

this game is the best in detail.but the fact of no nos sucks.then when u put some racers in the wall theyll come back passing u like nothing.plus all the rivals have the best stuff so they beat u easy alot of the time.and the fact that u cant race alot of the wonders is gay.so they need to make a new one with nos more detail in tracks and cars.more cars and racer with all diffrent tune ups.more detail on the tune ups like the stage stuff it should be like twin turbo what not.more diffrent non racer cars .

This game rocks. I am a street racer myself and found the game almost exactly the same. The graphics are okay. I too have a small problem with the Wanderes although I only have 11 to go I would like to find someone who knows how to beat them. Anywayz this game tears up all other racing games including GT3.

I give the game a perfect TEN because there is just no other game that can stand against it not even gt3. The game is just so awesome the graphics,sence of real speed, and the way you can customize your car from engine to rims and exhaust. There are of course some bad things like the music sux and the fact that the wanderers never want to race you unless you have some special kind of qualifications and thats really stupid. If you just started a game make sure that as soon as you get a porche keep it because it is by fact the best car in the game if you know how to fix the gear ratios well. Also I would suggest just racing cars over and over till you get enough money to fix up a real nice car in the beginning so you don’t have a hard time with the first competitors.

This game is my favorite racing game. I'm currently past the first chapter and at the zodiacs. The purpose for the numbers and letters is that all the spec.s in the game came from real cars except the rights to put the in the game don't exsist. So they used different names like the code # for the car they owned, which doesn't matter because you can always do your homework and rename your car like the R-34 to Skyline GT-R.
This game is car nostalgic.

this is the best street racing game out period. this game allows you to beef up your horse power and put on body kits and wings. the graphics could of been alittle better but they are alright. the sound that they put in the game is awesome becouse each time you up grade your exhaust the car gets a more realistic street car sound. if you think your civic is hot check out the cars on here, they will blow your civic out of the water. Most people try to compare this game to gran turismo, this game should not be compared to gran turismo at all becouse they are two different games, gran turismo is about going around circles, tokyo extreme is about all street racing, seeing whos the king of the streets, so if you like street racing you should like this game, this is as close as your gonna get to japanese street racing and the cars.

THIS GAME IS CLASS!!! Ok, so the graphics aren't Gran Tourismo 3, but if you ask me, they are definitely acceptable! And while we're on the subject of G.T.3. I would like to make a point-Many reviews of this game that I have read (including some of the ones here on this page) compare the game to G.T.3, saying that it isn't as good. I have to say, I think that they are being somewhat unfair! Ok, maybe T.E.R.0.(Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero) doesn't quite measure up to G.T,s standards, but the fact is that they are two completely different styles of game! G.T. is possibly the greatest cuircit racer of all time, but T.E. is a STREET racer (and possibly the greatest one of THOSE of all time!). G.t. allows you to fine-tune your cars engine and performance to the n'th degree, but one of the best things about Tokyo is the fact that you can change the cars APPEARENCE (i.e. spoilers, bonnet, bumpers, etc.) The actual gameplay is fast and furious, classic to the extreme, and most definitely mad!!! The only problem I can find in the game is the Wanderer situation (yes, those wanderers are getting on my nerves too!) But other than that, pure madness, definitely a game to go for! P.S. If ever I find out how to beat the Wanderers I'll let you know! (Please let ME know if YOU do!!!!)

This game represents everything about Japanese/American street racing. The graphics are ok, but the gameplay is way too fun especially on 2-player battle. Only being able to race at night was a great idea because it gives the cares that speedy illegal flashy feel of street racing. There aren't any courses on the game, but u can drag race or do a route battel to see who's care is the fastest. The cars look glossy and gleamy with the right engine sound, but they could've used more texture. U can do a lot of thing to your car too including giving it spoilers, lights, mufflers, colors, and logos.Customizing your car is limitless. This game was sort of like a videogame version of "Fast-n-Furious", the movie. The overall gameplay is above average. The graphics are ok, but need some help. The music could've have done a lot better, I was annoyed by those Tokyo techno trance songs and the choppy beats. I wanted to hear some hip-hop or alternative rock.

The game is fun..I like the whole concept of you making your cars lighter and all and being able to put whatever kits you want on it..As far as the game play goes it's ok..I wish it were more realistic though(As far as the handling of the cars..Especially the rear wheel drive cars). Cops and better music would definetly be a plus..If i had to choose from the Dreamcast version and the PS2 version it would definetly be the Dreamcast version..It's easier to control the cars and the colors are brighter so you can see a lot better..Still it's a street racing game that can't be matched with anything else in the market right now..Since I'm into street racing that's a big plus for me...Gran Turismo is still my all time favorite. Hopefully a sequal will be out soon.

This game is so awesome! All the options...finally, I can drive a car that fits my personality. Even effects such as brake glow and muffler flames are detailed. The number of cars is simply outstanding, even though some of them are the same type. And who cares if the cars don't have their real names, I already know what they are. As for the wanderers, I beat them all and the final boss. The only reason I didn't give this game a perfect score is because there is always room for improvement (that's why Genki is making TER1).

tokyo extreme racer zero is probably the best racing game out there so far. its hella better than gran turismo. unlike gra turismo, tokyo extreme racer has none of those stupid finishing lines or checkpoint stuff...its just an open road racing. i rate this 9 outta 10 cuz this game could use more maps, some cops, n maybe nitrous oxide...
