I dunnoooo.... | | Takatsuru from Boston USA says (11/Jul/2004): | it was good, and fun, and everything - just like everyones saying, but it was a little easier than most. to some thats not a problem but i got really really into 7 and 8 and i guess 9 (didnt think 9 was my style but still a great game) but X just doesnt feel like an FF game. Good for its own thing but i dont think it belongs in the ranks of Final Fantasy- I love the characters, Auron, Lulu, even Wakka strangely enough. Tidus got cooler as the game went on and i never use Kimahri but i can see how people might like him. Of course Yuna and her Aeons are a necessity. The story was good, and it is worth playing dispite my complaints above. Though if you're a sucker for FMVs, there arent as many in the game as other ff's and there are more in game cinematics - however i do LOVE how they added voices to all the characters. It makes the other ffs feel like everyones a mime lol..... so play it for what it is, that is my only advice..and why does this thing have to be more than 200 words! i only say things that are worth saying i hate beefing stuff up!......gggrrrrrrrr
| Final Fantasy X, it's an epic story that deserves to be not just the best FF game ever but maybe the best game ever! | | Joey from Wales says (7/Jul/2004): | The game started off leaving me a little confused with this whole Zanarkand thing, and then Final Fantasy X progressed into the most epic game probably ever. I found the game a little hard at times, though the battle system is the easiest and best to date, whenever I found a solid boss I had to overcome, I would go advance my guardians and summoner along the sphere grid (another brilliant idea), building their stats up and then went into battle, and where I once failed I overcame my enemies, serving them up on a plate with fries. Every moment of this game, wether it be serious, tense , romantic , tough , simple or watching Sin blow everything away was pure brilliant and I couldn't have loved this game more. My favourites features are the new battles system, weapons systems, sphere grid, overdrives, blitzball, and chocobos. What really improved this game is the facial expressions and voices. But better than all of that is Summonig Aeons, it's really been advanced and now the aeons get a much bigger time to shine. My favorite character, and strongest in brute force is Auron and watching Yuna sebd him in the end sequence and finally destroying Sin by sacrifycing
her Aeons, plus Tidus disapearing was the final proof, Final Fantasy X was now, finally a finished epic adventure. Then came X2, a disaster, finding out the story hadn't ended and was continuing with three ladies playing dress up in fights agints solid enemies turned weak and spira changed for the worse, and the story of X2 made a failiure out of Final Fantasy X, not just a brilliant RPG game but a brilliant game all round. Still the past can't be changed, at least Final Fantasy X is still around to enjoy again and again.
| Just Amazing | | Shan from Dallas, TX. USA says (2/Jul/2004): | Final Fantasy X is the only FF game I have ever owned. I've played most of them with friends. But I must say, this is the best FF game out of all of them so far. The story is great! And I think that's what really makes you want to play it. You just gotta find out what happens! The graphics are wonderful, a treat for your eyes, especially when it goes 3D.My favorite scene is where they go to Kilika and Yuna sends the dead. The battling system is beyond amazing. It's so easy to use! The sound is great, infact I learned the Hymn on my piano(don't laugh at me, youz!). The characters are great and realistic for once! My favorite character is Auron because he is so mysterious. You don't know much about him, but he sure can kick some butt! Second favorite is Rikku because she can steal things and that really comes in handy! I haven't officially beat the game yet but I've played FFX-2 so the ending is kinda ruined for me. To sum this up, If there are any FF fans out there that have not played this game, GET IT! it's possibly the best FF game out there! To the FFX makers: Thanks for making gaming fun! Loved this game!
| Final Fantasy X Rulez, and n e one who doesn't think so has something wrong with them! | | Tre from Viburnum, MO, USA says (23/Jun/2004): | Final Fantasy X Rulez! It was the first of the Final Fantasy series that I have ever owned. At first I didn't understand anything about the battle system and thought that it was too hard, so I quit playing it for a while when I got to the Bajj temple. But, I tried it again and survived, met Yuna, Wakka, Rikku, and all the other characters and began to crave more of this magnificent storyline. I LOVE FFX! I think that the hardest boss on Final Fantasy X is the 3rd Seymore, the second hardest was Lady Yunalesca. The reason why I didn't put the final bosses on there is because they were easy! In fact, YuYevon was the easiest boss ever! I have to admit the the final boss was a little tricky. I love the game. At the end it made me sad, I almost cried (*okay maybe u could see SOME tears streaming down my face*) at the end whenever Tidus left and Yuna was crying because he left. I watch the Spring over and over again because it gives me chills down my spine. Whenever the game turns 3D the effects are awesome. I am trying to collect as much pictures as I possibly can of FFX. The series to this game is great too, but FFX is better. FFX2's ending is better than FFX's is if you are wanting a happy ending. I feal like I know all of the characters on FFX. I hope that the soon to come Final Fantasy's have this feeling and connection with me. I really wish that the series was sold in more stores though. Don't laugh at me but: I think that Tidus is Hott, not only his looks, but his personality is what makes you grow to love him. Tidus and Yuna are a match made in heaven. Final Fantasy X rulez! SquareEnix and FFX producerz, U GUYZ ARE THE BEST!
| This is the best game of the year! | | Mike from Spooner,Wisconsin usa says (10/Jun/2004): | The game play on this fantastic game is brilliant. the game is twice as good as ff x was and is unrivalled by its quality except by ff vll, at last a game goes into the final fantasy 7 class. i thought it was impossible but a very new game has already became legendary.
as with all of the final fantasy's there is a brand new fighting style both interesting and brilliant. dresspheres make gameplay more enjoyable and exiting. the new feture of bringing spheres and levels through into a new game was ingeniouse and i could hardly believe how interesting it was.
the plot had no holes that i noticed and the characters were continuouse in there frames of mind. i found Rikru incredibly annoying even i ff x which she hardly appeared in . when she got more exp in the first few fights i just felt like kicking her ioff, my team but unfortunetly you cant.
paine was a cool character to have on the team, she was the warrior every team should have. in chapter 2 she was a bit annoying deciding to take Baralai on and then an aeon, just for laughs, we didnt need to but she was too smart for that.
Who else thinks Baralai was a major dude along with Wakka who is the biggest dude in the universe. i was suprised by the fact that the dress spheres actually interessted me but playing dress up with Yuna was pretty cool, much better that her wearing summoning robes. this game rocks. if the ff series is to continue then i hope it continues like this, if the games go back to ff vlll kind of games i will be dissapointed. a direct sequel to an ff was a great idea, especially since the sequel outdid the original.

| u suck if u gave it less than 10 | | rishika says (7/Apr/2004): | final fantasy x rules, and whoever said tidus was a wimp u only said it cuz ur jealous tidus rules so does yuna and i hope they do get bak together in x-2 cuz they rule!!!does anyone know what wakka names his kid?? oh is there a way to find tidus cuz there are multiple endings for the game.Does brother freak anyone else out or is it just me? im really really annoyed cuz i can't think of anything else to write and i can't submit anthing less than 200 words.I thought it was so sad when the aeons died and i dont think tidus should have gone.he should have stayed and gone to the moonflow again.i played the demo of 8 b4 but this was my first proper ff game and i loved it.u shouldn't insult any of the characters cuz there cool.Happy easter!!!i can't think of anything else to say except that this game was the best, if anyone has played x-2 plz put a comment on to say which ending of the game u got. Anyone who played final fantasy 8, wasn’t shiva an aeon 2? If so was squall a summunor and shouldn’ siren be in x aswell?and who was that thing quistis could “summon” it looked liked evrae a bit.
| Another great Final Fantasy game!!! | | gamer from Augusta, Georgia says (6/Apr/2004): | My opinion is Final Fantasy X is a great game in the Final Fantasy X series! My favorite character in the game is Yuna, & Tidus. The graphics are perfect, the plot is perfect, & very long. I have beat this game, & it was great. The only thing that annoyed me in this game is you have to fight Seymour in this game about four times, the last fight with him though is pretty easy if you have the aeon "Anima". My favorite part of the game is when you fight Jecht, & when Jecht transforms into high summoner Braska's final aeon. My second favorite part in the game is where you have to fight Sin. I also liked the mini games such as Blitzball & training wild Chocobos in the Calm Lands. I already have every single aeon including Anima, Yojimbo, & the Magus Sisters. One of the things I liked about using aeons is teaching them abilities by using items, & highering up their attributes by using spheres. The shpere grid seems complicated at first, but once you get used to it, it is not that hard to use. The last thing I liked about Final Fantasy X is customizing your weapons, & armor. I think anyone who is a Final Fantasy X fan should get this game.
| it doesnt feel right | | danny from U.S.A . clvlnd ohio says (1/Apr/2004): | FF X... it didn't have the same aura as the earlier ffs. Tidus is a wimp.( i think so ) the camera movement doesn't flow. the graphics were great though! the sphere grid is gay. i like have exp points better.the weapons system sucked BAD! whatever happened to to attack power of the weapons like all the other ffs did? theres not enough magic. the overdrives are o.k. i also think it's really cool that the aeons can fight like a normal character too! but there should be more aeons. and i miss having a world map, ATB, and i don't think it's right that the characters can all learn the same moves! i think they should each have their own. thats what makes each character unique! over all, the game kinda sucks but i still think it's one of the best RPGs ever! ( it's also cool that theres a goth character for once! Lulu ) but if there is anyone who thinks this game is the best, i still support your opinion. there are also too many blonde characters. what about reds? tidus also needs to learn how to use a sword like a man! he is like, so wierd.
| The best Game ever. | | Tasha from U.K says (28/Mar/2004): | I've gotta say, this game is the first FF game i've played and i LOVE it so much.I've already completed it!...as for the graphics, they are the best flamin' graphics in the world!
Ah, the graphics, the gameplay...the characters! Wow- and theres supposed to be am ovie too, i love FFX!
Just for your own personal reference:
When trying to kill Yu Yevon (final boss) keep casting reflect on your Aeons/people- and on Yu Yevon too, so none of his attacks work. Break him down, keep healing and use those overdrives at the right times. Oh, and if you haven't got Reflect by then, well, sorry!
Ok, i'll give you some more on the major last bosses:
the first boss: Sins fin
Easy. Use haste on all of your party (needed) and armor break Sin. Then, bring in the fighters use Tidus and Auron mainly, and their overdrives (third fighter optional) and hack away at Sin. This form of Sin is very weak (yet its HP is 65000- i don't get it) and deals healable damage.
2nd: Sin+ Sinspawn
it gets harder. The sinspawn takes all magic directed at Sin (they have 36000 and 20000 HP, im presuming the 20000 is the sinspawn-can't remeber) Armor break the spawn, silence it, then just attack. The weak sinpawn wont stand a chance, just keep hackin. Push into Sin now, using overdrives and attacks. Cure hte party when your health reahces critical levels. Keep it up and you will win. dont use TOO many over drives, rely on magic the most.
Sorry folks, thats all, e-mail me if you need help with any part of the game!
(oh, P.s, your next boss after that is overdrived Sin-Good luck, you'll need it- i did!)
| Your All Wrong | | A gamer says (26/Mar/2004): | For all the people that said this game was a peice of crap and was way too easy, You were right and wrong. This game was awesome. The graphics were awesome. The battles were cool. The characters were realistic. I have to admit that the game was pretty easy, but if you went throught and did all the sidequests...like i did....the game is awesome. I say that the game should get a perfect 10 and i hope that the creators keep creating games just like this one. I know i would buy it. So for all you people who think it was a bad game....if you thought it was a bad game then dont play it...sell it so other people can play it. because the more people that play...the more poeple to say that you are wrong. And some of you said thart the earlier games were better like 7 and 9, they were pretty good games...i really enjoyed 9...but if you actually plyed this game then it was much better.for the people tht said this game sucked....your wrong
| everything u could want final fantasy 2 be and more ...and less | | sin delivery service from UK says (24/Mar/2004): | FINAL FANTASY 10
Main Characters:Tidus the only guy u get 2 nickname the main character with Yuna.He has great bliztball move and his dad is sin he has a massive role but he could have been better hes not as good as Zidane(ffix)
Yuna:Another one of the main characters in fact she is the reason u have aeons and the team. But she whines 2 much and hasn't got much mp 4 a summoner.
Khimari:Pure amazing learning stuff with Lancet and jump, a cool blue mix of Freya and Quina(ffix again 4 all u fans and newbies).
Auron:So cool when he is in Zanarkand watching the blitz start. He speedy attacks work 2 my advantage
Rikku:Cheeky girl looks better in x2 but is still pretty cool
Good points:the graphics u gotta luv them
the story twisted new questions raise suspense
the characters talk about time
the aeons all new kind of fighting 4 them
Bad points:bliztball could have been as good as it looks
sphere grids i understand them but its stupid
can't keep in time with what they say
not enough fiends around 2 fight i mean in fights its
2 or 3 always sheesh
| final fantasy 7 is still better | | Eric Mederos from covington georgia, usa says (23/Mar/2004): | this game is ok but way to easy (especially the last boss what a waste of time)i still think final fantay 7 is way way way way way way way (note: i put 7 way's lol)better then part 10.if you want to play final fantasy then play ff7 because you will have more fun with that then this piece of crap!! (old school still rocks)But to some this crap might smell good to them and if it does for you then get but you'll be smellin roses if you get ff7 instead. just don't put hot sause on your burito ok. one problem with this game is that its way to easy its like the creators took stupid pills when they made this what a FREAKIN rip. i wasted good games trading for ffx i wish i got ff7 again then buy this peace of crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap (note: i put 10 crap's)
graphics:9
sound:9
gameplay:7
replay value:super mega low low low low low low low low actually there is none because the time you finsh this game you will trade if for somthin better like ff7 if you don't already have.
this game may be worth $20 but get ff7 for $15 much better!!!!!!
| The epitome of rpg greatness | | Andrew McColl from Bangor Northern Ireland says (26/Feb/2004): | The title explains it all. FFX is the greatest rpg to ever be created. The graphics are definitive and show Squaresofts true colours. The new conditional based battle system allows novices and veterans alike to enjoy the countless random battles that have annoyed alot of people in previous Final Fantasy games. This time squaresoft have included voice overs, a new concept to ff games. There are thousands of lines of dialogue included so alot of the game is similar to watching a movie. The charecters all have very distintive styles such as warrior, thief and summoner. The level up system is brilliant. You get levels and spend them on moving around a giant grid. You then activate nodes that have stats such as HP + 200 or strength + 4. There all also loads of secrets to be discovered and mini games to play. The game itself runs very smoothly and the difficulty curve is just right. The world map is gone and replaced with a location menu allowing you to easily choose where to go. Every one should own this game, it is a true rpg (finally). Now all you need to do is buy it and even possibly FFX-2. Enjoy.
| One of the best ever...but | | Andrew Bernard from Rancho Cordova, California says (25/Feb/2004): | in my opinion, i believe that ffx is one of the all time greatest games to ever hit the ps2. it has unbelieveable graphics, decimating weapons, amazing abilities, and just overall, its just colossal. a few things that i dont like about the game is blitzball, and im sure alot of people can agree with me. they give u the sorriest team, except for tidus, and expect you to win, u cant even beat the other teams, theres no chance to beat the luca goers.another thing is the voices of the characters, its a wonderful idea in all, but they could've at least made the voices match the movement of the characters. if u never played a final fantasy game, this is 1 to try, its got everything, just try to avoid blitzball. one of my favorite aeons of all time is Ifrit. Bahamut is awesome to, but i haven't got him yet. a good place to train is after the part of the yevon-djose temple after you get ixion (the thunder type aeon). on the road with the red arrow pointing , go along that road, and there are a bunch of ochu's (big ugly looking things with feelers), they give over 400 ap!! overall, its one of the greatest games ever
| One of the best games of its TIME!! | | David Kale from Pretoria, South Africa says (18/Feb/2004): | One of the most visualy magnificent games ever to come out of the brillent minds of Square Enix.
This Journey starts with a young heroic Blizball player, Tidus, who gets sent into the future( Or so I can work out) and meets up with a young girl who is talented in the arts of Summoning. They go on a journey to save the world of Spira from a monster of destructive power, Sin. The journey will take the life of one of them and the other will forever seek to find the one that was lost.(Play the game to understand). Play the game to discover the true Identity of the evil in Sin and discover Tidus's seacret, to find out if he is real or is just a dream?...but you have to think then is the whole game a dream?Enyone who is intersted in playing this game don't not want to play it because somebody said it was stupid. Try for yourself and you'll soon see, it becomes very idicttive at times. This is one of the best games, graphically and story bord wize. It is a experience you will never forget. It will make you want to play it again and again, theirs so much to do you can never get bord. Sometimes it can be difficult to win against bosses and it is very long but the story is worth going to the end for. Play the game and experience it all.
I hope the next games from Square Enix will be as entertaining as this one, e.g.FFX10-2 and FFX11 and 13.

| the best | | Rachel from UsA says (8/Feb/2004): | i loved ffx it was fun exciting and it had VERY good grafics it was fun and cool i loved it its so great ive beat it 11 times

im screwed and sin is easy but the bug guy after that was very hard but good think i had ato life lol and the maga sisters were really good they kiked butt my strongest aon was maga sisters and my strongest person was aoran becuase he did strong hits and yuna because maga sisters they were strong and with out here there would be no maga sisters and man this is boring and i dont want to have 200 words i mean really come on is this a typine lesson i did that and i hated it so plz just get me out of this lz and blah
| best final fantasy game I've played....so far! | | jln75 from Westland, Michigan, USA says (14/Jan/2004): | I have been playing final fantasy since the nintendo version. I have owned and played each of the FF games. I must admit that I lost a little interest in FF8, but kept playing just as well. I have to say that I was very impressed with FFX. I love the characters, the story line, the music, and everything else. I have read on some of these reviews that some people did not like the red arrow and that they would have rather been able to explore more. I have to admit that I loved having the red arrow as a guide, it was much easier to navigate and I didn't get half as frustrated as I did with the other games. The bosses were great and a little hard at times, but that's ok because it has always been like that and it just makes it more of a challenge. You have to think of a stradegy and that's just part of the game and always has been. I think the weapons were great as well...and the magic of course! I was completely caught up in the story and this made me more determined to beat the game. I am looking forward to playing FFX2 and will be buying that game this weekend. I'm sure I will not be dissapointed if it's anything like FFX. This game is an absolute must play and I also look forward to more FF games in the future.
| FFX | | Strife from UK says (11/Jan/2004): | I have played Final fantasy VII, VIII< IX & Final fantasy X these were all really great games well back to FFX,
Graphics: 10/10
Characters: 11/10
Weapons: 11/10
Dubbed Voices: 12/10
Sound: 10/10
Storyline: 9/10 untill the end (6/10)
firstly the graphics of this game is out of this world the graphics to me looked like the FMV's of FFVIII and FFX FMV's were even better sometimes you couldnt tell the difference, they looked like real people and not mishapen dummies like FFVII even thought the story line to this game was great,
the weapons in this game are really cool because they looked smart and looked like a real weapon i didnt like Zidanes ultimate weapon because it didnt look real my favourite FF weapon is either the lionherat of cloud's ultimate weapon.
The dubbed voices were really good because they didnt look like one of the old chinese movies where the lips moved to fast for the dubbed words tidus's voice should have sounded more manly he sounded if his balls haven't dropped yet,
the sound was pretty good i really like the special sound FX in the battle scenes and i also liked the background music,
this is the only downfall of the game, the storyline was reallky intresting untill the end because the game ended like lord of the rings on a cliff hanger that really ticks me off i thought was that it ! untill i found out about FFX-2 ive read squaresofts review it sounded pretty good the realease date for my country is ??/02.04 i know its out in feb but i dont really know the day, if someoni in america has played the game because there release date is sooner if they could write a review then i can decide whether to buy it or not!!!
| An awesome game! | | Sniko from Phillipines says (4/Jan/2004): | Compared to FF8 and 9, FFx was amazing..everything was so upgraded!! I really like the story and how the fighting was put..Has anyone played ffx2 yet?? I have! It is great so far, the battle style is so much fun, with all the dressspheres, etc.. everything goes fast in the battles!! I think everything in both 10 and 10-2 is great! The charecters are full of all kinds of stuff. In ffx2, you only get to play with Yuna, Rikku and a new girl named Paine..Paine is very quiet, but later in the game you soon learn that Paine has a story to all of whats going on... i'm only in chaper 2 but my brother is inchapter 4..but thers alot more chapters to go through, all the chapters also have missions. And the missions is where you travel around and get your spheres. Oh spheres-Yuna, Rikku, and Paine are spherehunters! Trying to find out about the past, and maybe the future, what is to become of Spira. yuna has joined because of Tidus, Rikku started the whole thing and Paine joined because of her past, including that she is one of the last four alive out of the crimsons. The other 3 are Baralai, Nooj, Gippal. These 3 are all leaders of some sort of group, and near the end of chapter 3 and the beginning of chapter 4, all 3 of them disappear. And the end of chapter 3, the VERY end, you finally see Shuyin who is a charecter who resembles Tidus, yet more dangerous. Shuyin is in love with another girl named Lenne, and when you meet shuyin, he thinks you are Lenne because of your songstress dresssphere. It appears to be that Lenne had the same exact outfit-only 1,000 years ago. So shuyin comforts you thinking you are Lenne.
