Final Fantasy VII still the best in storyline... |

The game is cool, the great fantasy is living by on it. I really would like that the makers of the game (Squaresoft, etc) could read the reviews here, i don't know if they read but i would like to tell what i'm writing here to them too. Final Fantasy series should have more romance, FF7 was the best in this aspect, we allways love to be carring a "girl-friend-like" in this kind of adventures. Don't you guys think that at last a kiss between the guy and Lulu could happen? I didn't reached the end yet, but i already know that Squaresoft didn't made that! (sorry if im wrong). And the voices of the players, like the voice of Tidus, "aren't the type". There isn't another guy who could make is voice? This is Fantasy, not a "18 years old-Party-Like" game. The visual of the guy isn't cool too (and i noticed that they tryied to do a "cool guy like", but he isn't, everybody knows that Cloud was extremely better). Well... to finish... the game is shoooOoOoort! Why are all making just 1 CD? Is it to sell fast? Oh c'mon... :(

Ive only played ff8 and 10 and seeing other pple think 7 is da best, i think ill get dat next. Anyways... i think ff10 is okay, i mean the graphics are pretty cool and yes i agree the sphere grid is useful, but i just dont think its fair that only Yuna can summon the aeons. also ithink shes really annoying and gets u into a lot of trouble just like rinoa from ff8. THe thing i dont like about her is mostly cuz shes weak. Its also hard to get to the cloister of trials. especially in kilika. it took me hours just to touch the glyph.
Also... the whole story seems short. When i found out that Jecht was sin i thought I was almost at the end. But other than that, igive its rating a 5.

Ohh i hated that Tidus guy. Too bad he was the main charactor. Other then that i loved the graphics and all the people, wakka was cute cuz he had that accent and he always said ya? Graphics cool, Al bhed language...Eh Ruba..Blitz was hard to understand..I hate Seymour, that dirty lier.

in all of the ff's the leveling up was just not intresting cause you had no controll of it but in 10 you get to take controll of there skills,magic,and every thing else.if you want the people to be strong in magic or attack all you have to do is put them on the part of the sphare grid that will help them in that.well that is just some of the reasons why i give this game a ten.

The graphics were awesome, the sound was awesome, I cryed at the ending, the bosses were wicked cool. I'd give this game a 50 outta 50 if we could. It was the best game I ever played- off the charts. I loved this game, i hope you all do too! It was fun, overdrives were a smart idea, and the sphere grid was a wicked smart way to develop your characters, too. The aeons i think were all well designed. overall, this game is a 1,000 out of 10, seriously.

There are some weird things happened in the game.
1. the auto-life ability can equip in the characters's equipments before you first time came in Calm land. But after you go to other places, it is change to auto-phonix, which is a big difference from before.
2. remember you try to get Tidus' epic weapon? I won the race before and gained one part of the item of his weapon and also upgrade the weapon too. But after I left the Calm land, this item disappeared and his weapon does not have the ability anymore. very odd!!!
3. It says we could play the game even after the whole game is finished. That is not true. I left the ending on for like 1 hour... but it dose not go back to the game or saving screen.
Overall, I feel a little bit waste a game when I finished this game. But I do like the firms in the game. Specially Rikku. =)

this is gonna be a short reveiw.people are all like "oh,I love this game Sooooo much" and you know what I say to that.stick it up your ass!that game blew donkey!one of the most horrible games ive ever played,it had a really gay story line that was relitively similar to all the other FF games.and everyone had some very annoying voice or was really gay acting(such as seymour and tidus)I hate games with voice acting cuz it sucks

This game, lets see this game, is great! It was the first playstation 2 game i have ever played. The beggining is terrible but after a while the story pics up. Rikku is cool. I didn't give it a ten because there are some parts that were a little boring. It took me hmmm, 87:30 hours for me to beat it. I beat it the second time with no side quests in 50 hours. I bought the stradegy guide. its a great game and i hope 10-2 will be even greater.

I give FFX a 3. 1 for being a game by Squaresoft, 1 for being an rpg, and 1 for being a Final Fantasy game. I used to think FF Mystic Quest was the worst in the series because it was so linear in the story, but FFX is way worse. Square spent all their design time on graphics, music, and voice acting instead of game play, length, and fun factor. I'm disapointed with the FF team. They were gods with 7 but have shown steady decline in ability and concern for consumer interest. The sphere grid is an interesting idea but is too random to develope a character how you want. Kimahri is almost completly useless. They should have stats in diferrent columns and let you chose which stat a character increases. Magic should be learned from materia like before. I hated the way the equipment was handled in the game.
I'll end my rant with this: If the game is going to cost $60+ it should take 60+ hours to beat straight through, have 60+ hours of side quests, and have an assortment of side games to play(cards, blitzball,chocobo racing/betting, monster arena round up/fighting, etc..)
BTW we can see what they care about with the marketing of XI, buy game, modem, keyboard, and subscribe to online service just to play the game. For all that it should strictly be a computer game. Square is digging its ouw rectangle.

It was GREAT! Graphics-incredible, sound-off the roof, and story-awesome. If you like Final Fantasy go for this game it's one of the best games I've ever played. There really isn't much to say except play! So quit reading the reviews, go to your nearest video-gaming store and either buy or rent this game. It would be money well spent and time well used. (If plyaing video games is ever time well used. ^-^)

Well, now, for those of you who don't like Final Fantasy X, and gave it a low rating, I will explain why my rating is 10. First off, I believe this is the best story line since Final Fantasy 7. The graphics are simply stunning and life like. Sounds were great, and characters actions were unbelievably life-like! Tidus acted like a real guy in some parts. I just bought this game off ebay, because I was stupid and didn't buy it when it came out. So for those of you who want Final Fantasy X-2, do yourself a favor and buy it right when it comes out!

I love this game! It has to be the best role-playing game currently released on PS2. The graphics are stunning, the characters are beautiful, the background scenes are to die for...everything I found slightly lacking in the past Final Fantasies. Oh, and did I mention the storyline? I can only say 'Wow!', a fine 10/10 and two thumbs way, way up!

the first time i played final fantasy 7 i thought it was great i was 6 since i started playing final fantasy games i think the storyline is great rikku is my fave character cause shes young and carefree i liked the final fantasy games so much that i am painting my room wit ff 8 9 and 10 characters i cant wait until final fantasy 10 2 comes out

This is one of the best games. Mainly because the people can now TALK!! The graphics are amazing. I loved all the Final Fantasy games and beat all of them. The onl one I never really did like was FF7. This one is the best Final Fantasy yet. I can't wait for FFX-2!! I'm reserving it!

ALL final fantasy fans out there must own a final fantasy 7 game on ps1 because its the best FF game, no good thinking that u played 8,9 and 10 and thinking 7 is an old game not worth playing then you r wrong! because 7 is da best!!!!!!!!!

Wow, at first i thought this game would be so borring, but the graphics are awesome! i especually like the part when Tidus is getting sucked into sin, or when Tidus and Yuna make out in the pond in front of Kimhari...he he... the music was pretty cool too. my favorite song is when the group is in Zanarkand ruins!! my favorite character was Rikku, and my brothers was Lulu..(I'm not telling why...) but over all, this game is way cooler than VII (but Cloud is still a little bit cuter)the best fun pert was when you get to play Blitz Ball! that game is like a mixture of football, hockey, and soccer but under water. any one who thinks this game is dumb has to be dumb. this was the best one (but soon it will be X-2) This game ROX!

When i started this game i thought it was a waste of time buying it but boy i was wrong the fmv's are amazing to watch and there is so many intense battles you can not believe it i was playing it before and you were on a boat when you were in battle the trigger command was to use the crane also in many other battles there are trigger commands it is just great. There are the puzzles in the temples where you get aeons (yunas summon monsters) there is much in depth graphics to the characters and all your surroundings. All there overdrives are cool to watch and the mini games were well thought of. These include blitzball, butterfly catching in the macalania woods and the monster arena quest to capture all the monsters in spira with special weapons. A thing that is different from all the other games is the abilitys that are on weapons is break damage limit and break hp limit. That is really cool to see because your HP can exceed over 9999 it can go up to 999999 that is real cool.
Also with break damage limit you cand exceed the damage of 9999 and take out 999999. There is now also ultimate weapons for everyone that can be only obtained through the celestial mirror in all different locations in spira they need to be powered up though in a shrine in macalania woods but you need a crest and a sigil for each character they are named through planets. Once you powered up the weapons you get these abilities break damage limit, triple overdrive and i cant remember the other two. Thats the end of my review.

We all know sence the dawn of time that Final Fantasy has been and will always be the best game ever. This game however was one of the worst ive ever played! The only reason I gave it a 2 was because it is infact in a Final Fantasy game. I think that they( the Final Fantasy charicters) were terrable. They acted more like children then the traditional teen age to early adult mind set. They did not follow the ways as the other games have we love. On most game the main charicter (male) falls in love with the female of the game. I felt apsolutely no chemestry between them. I would have thought two first grade students saying that I like you do you like me more deep then them. The only thing worth playing this game for was the videos that take over during the game. Some were pretty cool but that is not anough to make a game worth playing. I In my own words wish I had kept the receit so I could get my money back. This review comes from the best kind of person for video games ever an 8th grade student. If you value aneyones word for games you should value mine. I spend most of my like sitting and playing them and soon will learn how do desine them. I hope the next game that Final Fantasy comes up with is better then this and I pray that the new Final Fantasy 10-2 does not stink as bad as 10. Remember all GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To tell the truth I like all the final fantasy games even though FF7 and FF10 are pretty close together. They are also used in another game but as teenagers in Kindom Heart. i will never trade in this game for a while or give to a friend to use.

Coming from an RPG making master called Squaresoft, I was hoping that Final Fantasy X was going to be an awesome game but it's only average at best. Sure there's nice graphics and all but the whole sphere grid system is just plain dumb. The game is also too linear to be considered a Final Fantasy game. No world map, one uncontrollable airship (lame), not much equipment to mess with, and almost constant switching of characters during battle can get very annoying. The story is good though and it's nice to be able to control your summoned monster for a change. Heck, they even level up and learn a different overdrive attack. With all the major changes done to the old battle system of the final fantasy series and world map options though, this game just doesn't feel like final fantasy anymore but a different Sqaresoft game. The game is pretty cheap now but I advise gamers to rent first before buying unless you're a die-hard fan of the series.
