Haha, Great.... |
| HatredX from Mars says (28/Dec/2002): |
This game is amazing. The voices really add alot to the experience and I think it surpasses Final Fantasy 7. People need to get over that game. Sure it was great and all, but 6 and 10 are so much better. Get over it, it's not legendary, it was a great game but as of now, there's probably been half a dozen or more games that have beat it. This one is probably the best one to beat it.

You will get lost in this game |
| Ben(tuna) from New York says (27/Dec/2002): |
I became lost in this game as I do every Final Fantasy. I have been a ff fan since I and was VERY sceptical about this game because I thought they would focus on graphics and the story and characters would take second string. I was wrong - FFX was an epic game that was emotinal, breath taking and an overall great game. This is one of my favorites - III(VIj) being my favorite X may come in 2nd or 3rd. Images and moments from this game will stick with me forever.

pretty good..........so far |
| live2game from Opp, Alabama, USA says (27/Dec/2002): |
Hey guys sup? Glad i can finally get my opinion out there about this game. I haven't been playing long as a matter of fact I'm only at the Blitzball tournament in Luca. The graphics in this game do kick ass for one of the original big named RPG's for the PS2, but it's not even real anime anymore which was a real disappointment after IX. I kinda thought that after IX they would get some inspiration and go back to real anime but they keep getting farther and farther from it. I'm gonna have to go with most of the rest of these guys and say that VII was far more better in its time than X is now.All in All the over all game is pretty good for what i've done so far.

who needs heaven wen ya av this........?? |

let it be your fantasy |
| Raffay from Dubai,U.A.E says (12/Dec/2002): |
Well,I think it is one the best games on PS2, though its story line is very interesting, somethimes, basicaly in the beginning it gets quiet boring. Graphics and Gameplay gets A+, so does fun factor and life span. I would surely trade this game over GTA3

A maester of yevon-(wow)- |
| lathe(FFmaester) from Tacoma,WA says (5/Dec/2002): |
As a final fantasy fan growing up and still been playing i'v come to my sense's to leave a review! lol anyhow the game ff10 was about the 3rd best in the series i'v played, i am impresed by the graphics sound(voices) battle system and weapons ext.
im disapointed by the level up (EXP) system that they put into ff10 it totally bit it, becuase i missed a lot of things and when it was time to battle sin i only had about 4000 hp per character! i was also disapointed by the length of the game but in other aspects while the game was short it was a beautyfully perfect final fantasy yet ONE of the best final fantasy's in the series!

A half-hearted effort |
| A gamer from TX, USA says (27/Nov/2002): |
After its blockbuster success in FF7, squaresoft has not needed to actually make good games in order to sell millions of copies. I will point out that this game is trash not only compared to other Final Fantasies, but to other RPG's in general. The major advantage Final Fantasy has had over competition has been its characters and storyline, with FFX this has hit an all time low. Our Hero, Tidus, is a whiny jock loser who garners no respect at all. I think that overall he would be on an even playing field with Ash from pokemon, definately not Cloud. Now this would not be too bad if it were not for the fact that we must constantely listen to this loser talk in THE MOST ANNOYING VOICE possible. Yuna (looks and acts like she has down syndrome)is also an annoying loser and I wont even go into rikku(think yuffie with an EXTREMELY annoying voice who cant fight worth ****, even late in the game). The dialogue is ridiculous and makes me cringe, the phrase "ya know" is used eccessively, in many cases MORE THAN ONCE A SENTANCE! Music has always been a strong suit, and while this game doesn't have any tracks that stand out as annoying elevator music like the others, it doesn't have any outstanding tracks like FF7's battle and boss battle. Storyline is feeble compared to not only other FF's but to other RPG's in general. Summoner for PS2 has a better story even though it doesn't spend 3/4 of the game on retarded dialogue. Graphics are outstanding but character movement is wooden especially after seeing MGS2's realistic movement. Character design is ridiculous, overall the standard style is ten times worse than that of the eighties. The Al-Bhed look like they ran away from the circus. Heck, the FF series isn't even anime anymore. Squaresoft knows you will buy this game anyway so why bother to make it good?

The best in final fantasy game yet! |
| J. Scott Cornell from fort collins Colorado USA says (9/Nov/2002): |
This game's game play is better than the game play in 7 or 8! The plot is rely easy to follow and relly good... i have not commpleted the game yet but i am trying, and this game is not for " I like relly easy games" people that is for sure! But don't take my word for it and go out and rent it!

This was the best Final Fantasy game i've played since VII. |
| A gamer from Quinton, Oklahoma/United States says (6/Nov/2002): |
Final Fantasy X out of the newest Final Fantasy releases (including VIII and IX) has defintely become to me the next Final Fantasy VII! With the ability to do more than 9,999 damage, have more than 9,999 HP and MP, and have the summons come in take the place of the characters X has by far been one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made. Final Fantasy X's graphics also by far out do any game to date because the reality of the characters is just unbelieveable! The storyline though wasn't as great as FFVII's but it had its' points. The only other thing I didn't like about FFX is the fact that just like all the other Final Fantasy's the Aeons(as they are called in this Final Fantasy) are not as strong as they should be. Most of the Aeons in this and other games are suppose to be deity's and yet the characters on Final Fantasy X and the rest can become so easily just as powerful as them. No matter this, FFX was by far one of the best Final Fantasy's ever made or to be made because Squaresoft only releases a hit but once ever so often. Thanks for the ability to speak my opinion of FFX and I hope to be able to do the same for the next Final Fantasy's!

Really great! |
| Stefan from Stockholm, Sweden says (2/Nov/2002): |
Final fantasy X is really a great game like all final fantasys was great in their time. Just look at the graphics in all the later final fantasys (especially at the movie scenes) , its so good u cant belive it! And the game idea is so wonderful and the feeling of play, it feels like ur one of them! And i think its so so so good that there is break HP/MP/DMG limit. That is so good now it feels like u do some good dmg, its just so cool. Its also good that u can customise weapons and armors, so u can decide what u think is good after your own opinion. And the way u get Aurons 2nd, 3rd and 4th overdrive is cool, Wakkas too. And ikkus overdrive is the coolest since there are so many different overdrives. Its SO good that there are more than one overdrive and that they are different. But the best is almost the sphere grid. So that you can decide what u want to do with ur character: a fighter, magican, thief e.t.c. That is all from me and a special thanks to Squaresoft fot these wonderful games, not just final fantasy X but I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX too. Thank you again. /// ZTEFFE

The Standard Has Been Set! |
| Jeremiah from Mission Viejo, CA, USA says (31/Oct/2002): |
This game has set the standard for all RPGs across the world! No more cheap, wanna-be, piece of crap RPGs like Legend of Dragoon of Land of Destiny, this is the real deal. The graphics were so amazing, like on the cut scene with Yuna and Tidus in the water! It was so realistic that I could almost feel the humid air in the room that I was playing it in. The music??? Oh man, Squaresoft games ALWAYS have great music but in THIS game it was better than just great. Every situation in the game had the perfect music to back it up and make you feel what the characters were feeling. I was moved several times in the game just by the music AND, since I am a Death Metal fan, I love how they FINALLY put a hardcore metal band on the game for battle music. It really pumped me up. No other game has such a wonderful story line that his one has. Even though Tidus got on my nerves sometimes, he grew on me. Blitzball was kool, though I never got too into it. I was glad that they had chocobos in the game SPIRATICLY and not everywhere like the other FFs. What more can I say about this game? It is a perfect game and it leaves you wanting to play it more, even after you beat it, you kinda wonder what the characters would be doing right then after the whole ordeal. Call me a video game nerd, CAUSE I AM!!!! Thank you Squaresoft for hours of fun! This game is nothing short of perfection!

Ultimate Game |
| Kristen from Maryland, US says (27/Oct/2002): |
I love this game. I've spent well over 150 hours in 3 different files, I've beaten it twice and working on side quests (all Celestial Weapons, defeat Dark Aeons if any, and the Fiend Arena). I loved the real-time expressions and the animation. I also loved the character voices, I get irratated by having to read it all, and for the fact there is a lot of action, that's be quite a lot to read. Yuna and Rikku were my favourite characters. The most puzzling part was the Aeons, which were probably my favourite thing in the game. Thanks for such an awsome game!

This game was the best I've ever played! |
| Christina Williamson from Tennessee, USA says (26/Oct/2002): |
Final Fantasy X was tha bomb my 19 and 17 year old brothers loved it. To me the game was very interesting, romantic, the graphics was excellent and finally speaking parts for the characters (I hate to read the diagrams all through the game; thank you.)I loved the ending,(I was hoping for Yuna and Tidus to be married)but when he said I had to go, I knew it wouldn't be right for Yuna. The reason why I gave this game a 10 is because I've never stopped playing it I always wanted to see what would happen next. I want to say to the kids and teenages that if you don't like the games you play and can't seem to get into it; this game (Final Fantasy X) will be the best game you played! Thank you for the people who made this game (now my parents want to play)

Coolest game ever!!! |
| Philipp from Bacolod, Philippines says (23/Oct/2002): |
It's really the best game ever created in the world! Just think about it! The graphics, voiceovers, fun, originality, and everything! The 1st best game about FFX is the sphere grid. You can really have total control of your character and it's too nice to stop playing it! There are lots of additional sidequests mini games like the blitzball. Instead of the dorky and boring card game, FFX offers something better. Blitzball is an aquatic sport that is controlled via turn-based menu-driven commands so that it's easier to control the players. I give this game 10 over 10 because of it's realistic and rendered beautiful graphics!!!

This RPG is on Top of the Heap!! |
| Sarah from Roswell, Georgia, USA says (19/Oct/2002): |
Square has always pumped out unique games. FFVII, VIII, and IX are all fantastic games! Wait, let me correct that: They are all fantastic gaming experiences. The charcters are loveable, and you can feel an odd connection with them. Even if you can't stand them at first, they eventually will grow on you. The storyline for FFX is an entrancing one, and you sometimes will be playing just to see what happens next in the story. This enthralling game includes everything, from mystery to revenge to betrayal and the search for truth. There's even a small dose of humor tossed in for added effect. Sometimes one aspect of the plot will leave your head spinning and you wonder about what it means, but then it comes to you at 2:36 in the morning, most likely. The FMVs and graphics will smack you like a ton of bricks, they're that gorgeous. The characters' faces and movements are both so fluid and detailed you'll swear you're watching a movie, not playing a game. There is one FMV that will always stick in my mind, and that's the one where Yuna walks on the water and perfoms a sending. That scene is the perfect FMV in my opinion, because it does an excellent job portraying FFX's stunning graphics and music. Very spooky, but also very beautiful. While the game is long, it doesn't feel like it's dragging about. The voiceovers are a nice touch, and fun to listen to, especially when one of the characters get peeved. The music is perfect, after all, what else do you expect from Nobuo Uematsu? I used to kill off the party just to hear the "Game Over" music. Pretty sad, now that I think about it... Yuna's aeons are nothing short of fun to actually control, and the summon and overdrive sequences are nifty. There are a million more things I can say about this game, but I can't seem to place it in words. If you don't already have this game, BUY IT!!!!!!

Final Fantasy X |
| Cloud from Tucson A.Z. says (8/Oct/2002): |
WOW is all I can say about this game squarsoft has truly reached the apidimy of gratness they've managed to rival any other game I've ever played. Still though as far as Final Fantasies go I think 7 in still the best they had a great story fighting to save the planet from distruction first from the Shinra Corp. then from Sephiroth, anyways FF7 was and always will be the best in my opinion, though 10 in superb to all others I have played. I would say FF7 and FF10 come pretty damn close to being the best games I think that the one thing that really sucks about ten though is that they don't allow free woaming game play either you go were they wan't you to go or you don't go anywhere. Also another thing you don't get to control the airship I mean $#< remove me > at ! that was one of the best parts in FFVII I mean before I first played it I saw the airship in the little book that came with it and I said to myself I can't wait till I get that thing. Well I'll still give both FF7 and FF10 an 11 out of ten as opposed to 10 out of 10 because they both go far beyond the normal gaming standards and blow all others away!!

this is the best game ever ! |
| destin douglas from Jacksonville ,Florida , USA says (6/Oct/2002): |
First of all the graphics were great! but I still dont see why some people are saying you cant ride chocobos anymore because you can. when you get to the calm lands you can learn how to ride one when you find that lady riding a chocobo. Anyway, i liked the battle system it was great! And one last thing, it was a great adventure game.

Fucking great |
| A gamer from Monaco says (6/Oct/2002): |
This game is the best game ever, ever. I loved it as much as FF8 and FF7, it's just amazing. The graphics, the voice, the story itself are really fantastic. However, the end is very sad, but good anyway.
