Game is great. I rank the hilarity to that of "BloodRayne". I couldn't put it down and I had to by a consel and another copy for my brothers becouse I hoged it. My girlfreind like it to. I summoned a fire-sword with out knowing. I still can't do the Doomsday strike. Oh well. I got all the weekends since I don't have to work on them. HA! HA!

Very GOOD Game |
| Sarah from Attleboro, MA says (7/Jul/2003): |
This game is absolutely incredible. I grew up in the regular Nintendo age and this game brings back the action adventure game but with a new age twist. Awesome graphics, awesome story, just plain Awesome! If you are looking for a game that anyone can play, this is it. I gave it nine stars because at some parts, it can be a really hard game but not to worry, it's so much fun that you'll keep playing until you get past whatever is holding you back.
This game's graphics are very good. It's crisp and colorful. I haven't really listened to the sound yet.
Gameplay deserves it's own little paragraph. THere are tons of powerups, chests, keys, koins, monsters. From armor to elemental sword powerups the gameplay is the best feature of the entire game.
Lifespan=VERY LONG. Like i've said before this game RULES!
I don't think that I need to be any more repetitive than I have already been. Next time you're in the game store and you're deciding which way to throw your money GET MAXIMO.

The Coolest Action Game Ever |
| A gamer from kdmshfgisgf, jhgdhwhjvb says (3/May/2003): |
Maximo is very fun. As you play new skills are learned and new enemys are found. It sometimes is a little hard to find out how to kill a boss but that's all. Once you buy this game and start winning, it rules. If you have never played it I highly suggest it. Have fun!

a perfect game |
| Jake from illionois Usa says (2/Sep/2002): |
I currently have five ps2 games and I would have to say with out a doubt Maximo Ghost to Glory is the best I have ever played the controls are a plus the skeletons perfect like the different kinds and some are killed in one way others another. there are very vast levels from lava to swamps . another thing that i love is that there is completion of level like 100 precent or 60. I have my own review commitee and many who have played this game gave it a 8 to 10 because of controls and I recomend this game for people over ten cause this is like next gen zelda . and is very extensive . this game is about 50 dollars and well worth it
or you can buy it used for maby 20 to 30 that is what i reccomend to do. another thing is when he gets hurt some armor falls off and it gets down to his boxers. There are many sword enchantments from fire to ice. The life span of this game you will be popping this game in 5 years from now meaning you will most likely be playing this game all the time the fun factor is a 9 only because the game can be a little frusturating at times .The sound fits the game perfectally kind of errie. the originallity of the game is an 10 skelletons boxers armor . The charicters name is very unique maximo and the kings name achillie . The story line is very unique too but i am not going to tell you cause other wise ill ruin it for you.But in other words this could of not been a more perfect game. THE END

THIS GAME PUTS A LITTLE TWIST IN THE OLD SCHOOL GAMES |
| Sonic from USA says (4/May/2002): |
First off i would like to say that this game is really cool. The graphics rock and the backrounds are awesome. I love the creations they put into this game. Like collecting the souls to get deathcoins. That was cool, and everytime you get a game over wich is 3 or 4 lives you have to give the grim reaper so many death coins so he will restore you to your normal state. The only reason i gave this game a 9 is because there are not alot of places to save. I mean it could take you an hour or more just to get to one save point. But other than that this game rocks. Its cool cause if you get hit so many times you lose armor and when your armor is all gone Maximo runs around in his boxers. The story line is really basic. you come back from a war and your friend has truned bad and risen the dead in the kingdom and he took your girlfriend. So basicly you have to hack and slash your way through the undead to get your girl back and restore the kingdome. If you think this game is going to be easy, you better think again because this is one of the most hardest games i have ever played. you have to use your lives wise cause they are very hard to get back. I have only seen one extra life since i have been playing. This game takes alot of patience and skill. If you like shooting games and hackem up without thinking and easy as hell games then dont get this one because this game takes alot of skill and patience. but if you like challenging games that are fun and basic i would go with this one. I mean it is a good change because there are not alot of games like it and its a fun change. So if you dont have this game and you have patience i would recameand you to BYE IT!!!

Maximo is one of the best games ever! |
| project jenova says (29/Mar/2002): |
I think maximo is one of the best games for PS2. i have beat the game and i am beating it again. It's pretty hard and u can't use too many lives but it is so damn fun. Grim reaper is the best character in the damn game and they set up for a sequel so i hope it comes out.

Great game |
| A gamer from Corpus Christi, USA says (21/Mar/2002): |
Maximo is a great game for the PS2. In matter of fact its one of the best games for the PS2. If you think Maximo is going to be another simple platform game, well think again. This game has simple controls but the game itself is a hard one to beat. Just like in the old 16 bit era you need to take your lives seriously because its a challenge to get them back. Also saving is very rare to come by, so if you gotta go you cant just turn off the PS2 and then come back and expect to be were you left off. All in all I rate this game a 10/10

Ahh back to proper gaming! |
| Dave from Grimsby, UK says (3/Mar/2002): |
MAXIMO is the sort of game th PS2 has been waiting for. None of your mega fancy doo dah plots, just a simple really well made game. The game is divided in to five worlds. the first four, are split into 5 sub levels whereas the last is not. BUT what i love bout this game is the bosses at the end of each world, back in the good old days of ghots & goblins you couldn't play a game without end of level baddies, and in recent games they seemed to have been forgotten about recently. The only fault with this game is you canot save enough. but other than that. 10 out of 10!
