ps2?? Garbage (point blank) | | Mo Semakieh from London / UK / Europe says (25/Nov/2004): | I read some of the reviews for ps2.. and I strongly disagree with some. I had ps2 the day it came out, it was cool, I played for over 900 hours (mabe more). it had decent graphics, and games of course, ps2 foucses on single player most of the time. it has good titles like GTA, Metal Gear Solid, Socom, and of course final fantasy. those 4 games i just mentioned are what makes ps2 worth anything. Any way, when i heard Microsoft is coming out with a system i almost jumped up and down from happines, why? because MICROSOFT > SONY. dont even think some thing other than the statement that Microsoft's technology and experience in software and hardware is much higher than sony. Finally xbox came out!! i loved every single thing in it. halo made me forget that i have a ps2. xbox is with out a doubt ''The Best system on Earth'', just look

when you say more MHZ, it means ur saying faster loading times, better online capability, and its evens helps the graphics,and over all gaming capability.

ok....ps2 sucks for what they did. i aint paying $60 for an extra 2 controller ports. and you can hardly even find a game to play system link with. unlike ps2! xbox's 4 controller ports and its almost 80 % of its games is system link!! for you that dont know what SYSTEM LINK is... ill explain. its where you hook up 2 or more xboxes togather buy a normal internet cord and play 4 players on each players!! i remmber where i call my friends and cousins to bring their xbox and have a huge Lan Party.

hahhha are u kidding me? when i bought a ps2 and came back home, i was dissapointed when i couldnt save my games till i found out that i should buy a memroy card. some idiots out there think that harddrive means ( save more files ) << that is wrong! for you people that know about hard ware... the Hard Drive in the xboxes actully helps it load faster and have better graphics! not only that but it keeps ur games fresh! why? almost all the online playable games have new downlable levels and new features, along with new patches to fix any bugs in the game that they didnt get to fix when the game came out, also you can save music on their and hear them while ur playing ur games! and still my hardrive is not even half way to 50k!!
if u have noticed why most ps2 games have pop ups?? its because it has no hard drive. ( pop ups ) means that while ur moving in the game things appear when u get close to them, for example GTA! while ur driving signs pop up, people pop up, cars pop up etc....

ok i got give ps2 a point here! ps2 controller is good, but after the controller s came out i loved more than the ps2's controller! for shooting games xboxe's controller is much easier. I tried playing medal of honor once with my ps2 and its sucked!! first person shooters are not fun at all on the ps2 controller, so who cares if the black and white buttons replace the R2 and L2? doesnt make a problem at all, but if ur still mad about it, there is some xboxes conrollers that put the white and black buttons on the back of the controller just like ps2's! over all is ( ps2 and xbox controller's are good)

when ps2 became online, i started playing, ps2's online connections sucks!! I had so much lag!! even though i use a high-tech DSL that i pay $60 a month for, and what do i get? lag all time. why?? because of 2 things! first because ps2 lets these 56k or other slow internet connection people go online. and because Sony's servers are so gay and slow, you can barly find a good connection game to play in!
Xbox Live is like the non stop fun. Microsoft have so many good servers making the connection amazing. and also because xbox live only allow these hight speed connection users go online, if u havent noticed... i play ps2 socom 2 online and its lags like hell even though socom have the crappiest grahpics ever.
look at halo 2!! i play that on xbox live! the graphics is show shiny and smooth and u can hardly ever get any lag. Ive never seen an easier way to get connected to xbox live. unlike the ps2 i had to call and find out. i went to best buy and bought the xbox live started kit, went home, the started kit had the suscribtion card and a CD thats teaches u how to get connected and a microphone!, unlike the ps2 i had to call them and find out how to get connected!!! how stupid can they get?
FINALLY!! GAMES
Hmmmm let me say that lots of the games are on both systems. some people say that graphics is better than gameplay, some people say gameplay is better than graphics, but who said xbox have no gameplay? tell me the top games on the ps2.... duh!!! GTA, Socom 2 , Grand trusimo, Metal gear, and final fantasy. as i said before.. those games are what makes ps2 worth anything. all the other ps2 games are crap!! even thought there number is much higher than the xbox's but all the other games that are ps2 exclusive are gay!!! Remmber im not talking about those games i listed up and im not talking about the games that are on both systems! most the games that come on both systems appear to play and look better on the xbox than the ps2's. lets come to the xbox exlucive... HALO 2 really kicks GTA San Andreas's A$$, why? because for u people that play video games, THERE IS SOME THING CALLED ONLINE PLAY!!! WHICH IS MORE FUN THAN SINGLE PLAYER!!. ohhhh i just snaped on u ps2 people didnt I?? Finaly FANTASY is no way near xbox's RPG ''FABLE'' and of course ''star wars knights of the old republic'' and ''dead or alive ultimate'' and the gran tusimo killer ''forza motorsport'' and half life 2 which is coming soon on xbox and doom 3 which is coming soon on xbox and gta vice city looked 50 times better on xbox and ''HALO 2'' << which owns ps2, and one more thing.. GTA San Andreas is coming on xbox soon.
ps2 is no where near xbox, PERIOD>>.

I really like playing Grand Theft Auto #3 bacause I feel it really has great grafics. My friend has a GameCude and ever time I see him play the game system it almost makes me feel like leaving becasuse the grafics don't even come close to PS2 grafics. If you are looking for a game system get the PS2.

I think the xbox is better. It has many of the good games on PS2, with sometimes better graphics and sound. And also you can save many games on the console, with 50,000 blocks, compared to the PS2's 90 block memory card.
The GameCube is rubbish. It's built for little Japanese kids. You cant even play DVDs and music cds. And the games aren't as high quality either.
So I recommend you buy Xbox, even though it doesnt have as many games as PS2. It is also cheaper than PS2.

I believe with the advent of internet gaming it will destroy the reason for having a console games the days are to multiplayer based and neglect single player. Consoles should stick 4 player gaming. Most people believe graphics are the most important part of a game they are incorrect graphics mean nothing its just a bonus if the graphics are good. Ps2 is the way to go because sony has more inotitive titles look at the psx compare to th 64.

With gamecube hahahaha ! Nintendo? you're kidding right? So as you can see PS2 has better graphics, gameplay and load time not to mention better games and the ability to play original Playstation games. Get a PS2. That was a special day. Yes, it was the day I bought a Playstation 2, which filled my life with joy. My first game was Gran Turismo 3. Playstation 2 has a great selection of games, plus it has a greatest hits series which sells games for only $20.00. The controler is perfect. Plus it plays DVDs without a problem. I think everyone should buy a PS2. Its wonderful.
