The Real rally game!!!!! | | Brendan De Souza from Oakville Ontario Canada says (28/Jul/2003): | WRC is one of the best rally sims out right now it has all the WRC events from monte carlo to The rally of great britan in this game also it has all the WRC drivers like Colin McRae tommi maknien Richard burns Carlos Sainz freddy loix Marcus Grohnlum and lots more all the WRC teams like Ford Skoda Mistubushi Subaru Hyundai Peugeot and citroen realstic co drivers but there's a down side to WRC the multiplayer there should be more tracks but this game has everthing better grapics i should see the next WRC game to get more popular because this game sold over 1 000 000 copies of it so i think u should buy this game it is the closest you'll get to the real thing unlike the CMR series where there is not a full season like wrc but before WRC came out Colin McRae was about to call his cmr series Colin McRae world rally but the FIA would not alow it so buy WRC or the Colin McRae Rally series witch one would u pick is better i would both give them a 10!!!!!!!!!!!

The graphics amazing, gameplay pretty good, sound class. There is not much I can fault with this game only one tiny thing which is they could do with a few more different cars but apart from that its GREAT!
| Bloody Brilliant!!! | | SynthR from Ontario, Canada says (24/Jun/2002): | Bam! did an excellent job recreating the entire WRC racing league in a playable form! The graphics aren't the greatest but that doesn't matter!
The car designs are all dead on accurate with all the decals and team logos. All the drivers are included in it as well, I think from the 2000 season? The cars take real time damage that effect the way the car handles, but sometimes its ridiculous! You hit a huge rock and just the windshield cracks, you hit a blade of grass the entire car gets screwed! Tranny is funked, gearbox destroyed, leaking oil, "right left 50", the roof's tearing off, your navigator is getting sucked out the window.....no that doesn't happen.....but it would be funny if it did.....???
Anyway, the sound is good too. Your navigator spews out where you have to turn next and how sharp the turn is and how fast you should go etc etc, which is really neat in itself but he doesnt really help matters. There's a few different views you can choose from too which is one of the neatest things in the game. One view pits you right in the drivers seat and you can see the driver moving his hands on the shifter while hes driving and stuff but the coolest view is the backseat view. You can see both the driver and the navigator! Its cool because the navigator is reading his notebook that has all the info and he looks up and over at the driver as you race while the driver nods his head in agreement sometimes and frantically changes gears!
So with the view of the navigator navigating, you kinda get that whole rally feel!
The controls are nice too. Nothing to tight, nothing to loose, just right! Before each race you can customize your car a bit. you pick the tires you want, suspension and like 3 other things. Nothing special but makes a bit of a difference.
Well enuff blabbing! pick the game up if you have the chance, its definetly worth a rent and if your a big WRC race fan like I am then youll surely love it. The menus and the general feel is exactly like its presented on the "tellie"!
How much would I pay for this game?
- $30-50 CAN. Amazing for a first try but doesn't do anything too special for me to burn a hole in my pocket!
