World Cup football at its best | | James Chubb from Alton, Hampshire, England says (28/Apr/2002): | FIFA World Cup 2002 is EA Sport's new official Word Cup football game pick one of 32 World Cup qualified teams such as England, France, Argetina, Brazil and Italy or one of several others such as Scotland, Greece and Finland. This game has the same passing and shooting style as FIFA Football 2002 in which you have to direct and judge the power of your shots and passes. The graphics are the best on any football game for the Playstation 2 so far but nothing special. You can choose from four difficulties beginer, amateur, professional or world class. One of the best things I noticed about this game is the realism, you can't get away with hacking down players on this because you will be booked or worse sent off! Also the freekicks are better because you actually have a chance at scoring form them. The only drawback in this game is the referee who gets in the way, where in past football games if the ball is kicked at the referee it just goes through him in World Cup 2002 it actually hits him and bounces of him which can be rather annoying apart from that this is one off the best football titles around only beaten in my opinion by FIFA 2002.
| ea did not satisfy me completly when i got it | | Keir Ashby from United Kingdom says (27/May/2003): | 2002 fifa world cup is getting old now i have won evry match now 12-0 on EVRY diffyculty so it is one very simple game i like the graphics and the sound the 2002 fifa world cup mode is no challenge brazil, senegal and france never beat me i score with goal kicks on world class mode and make the opponent score own goals on begginer it is not good.
