Eric hager from springfield,mo says (29/Dec/2003):
I really love the graphics.the game play is awsome and the monsters rock.the onimusha transfermation is sweet!but the puzzle's really suck.the worst thing about it is the decoding sequance(its really messt up)to find what you want.the coolest part of the game is the ending battle with the giant golden thing chasing after you.really recomend this game!

Damn i just cant stand games that are to hard the Bosses and stuff cheat like hell with unlimited powers35813

A gamer from California says (22/Nov/2003):
Well i been playing this game for awhile now and i didnt even like this one because its to stupid and Jubie is way to slow. I find the first one better just a bit shorter ina few places anyway Onimusha 3 Samanoske returns screw Jubei.Another bad thing about this game is the Critical Mode and Hard Mode. First off in Critical mode you may end up playing as a lame character such as the ninja, or the slow fat guy. They both lack counter strikes known as Issen and its to hard to do it on huge monsters
which is annoying i cant stand being cheated on by anything in a game especailly when your taking so lil bit of life and you cant see any life of the enemy. Now dont get me started with hard mode they cheated for everything in hard mode i get sick of people in forums saying they want harder games they say sh*t like this to piss other gamers off and know that they dont want harder games thats so dumb why would anyone wanna get their a** constanly kicked in the game when they wanna hurry and get the goods i feel like kicking all the gamers a** as i can that say stupid stuff like that they should go back to playing Sega games or somthing. I am now at Oda on hard mode i dont have enough healing iteams to use on him because they were all wasted in that dark Relm place trying to obtain that one sword Rekken or however its said i dont care ^_^ but anyway i can beat oda's first form when he's on the ground and his second form when he's flying up in the air no problem. Now the cheat part is the golden statue he always seem to take advantage of the laser strike with his forehead and then he uses those faces on you which you cant block anything at all thats a none fair match i give however beat it on hard props for it because the game is way to hard to master using a stupid weapon while oda is using ten times as more than you Capcom your so lacking in games Devil May Cry 2 suck,Chaos Legion Suck, Mega Man X7 suck,Resident evil suck all their games are falling behind Konami is my all time fav they make better games than any comapany do and Bosses with life plus its fair when it comes to games like Metal Gear and Silent Hill Namco also is lame on their arcade games Soul Calibur 2 need so much work the only fighter with a high rank is Virtual Fighter 4 and that game is so damn lame.

This game is EXCELLENT!!!!32548

Killer from London, England says (27/Sep/2003):
I was looking for a game that would be just as good as Devil may Cry. When I came across Onimusha 2. My friend said that Onimusha Warlords was extremely good, so I decided to buy Onimusha 2 to see whether it was good or not. And it overwhelmed me!!! The graphics were amazing, the gameplay was perfect, and the game itself is quite long. The sound is good, but with some dodgy voice acting. The games features you as a Japanese warrior who is on a quest to defeat the demon Warlord Nobunaga.

In the game, you encounter many deifferent enemies and many friends. There is a monk, a ninja, a mysterious woman and a skilled gunner. My favourite is the gunner. You can play as Jubei who is the main chracter, than you get the play as either one of the other chracters.

I would definitely recommend this game to those who own a Playstation 2 and a those who are human! You simply must buy this game!

good game but I expected more.29991

Missy Lee from Sacramento, CA U.S. says (14/Aug/2003):
Okay, before anyone starts saying that I'm dumb or stupid for not giving this game a 9 or 10, just remember that everyone does not see every game the same way. Onimusha 2 was a fun game until you beat it. It seems like it was a little shorter than the first one. The ending was very disappointing... I mean, come on capcom, at least let Jubei get the girl at the end too because he did lose his entire family and town. Cut the hero a break at the end at least for crying out loud. Too bad that the ending was also too short as well. The controls to the game took me a while to get a little use to. I don't think Resident Evil style controls work well for games like this. Why aren't the controls like Devil May Cry? Despite still requiring you to get use to, Devil May Cry's controls didn't confuse you during the heat of battles. I hate it how it's a pain dodging projectiles from demons because of the weird controls. The voice acting was okay... In some of the scenes, Oyu's voice didn't suit her well and it wasn't emotional enough. I REALLY WISH THAT GAME COMPANIES OUT THERE WOULD LEAVE US THE OPTION OF SWITCHING THE VOICES TO THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE ONES WITH ENGLISH SUB-TITLES (which are usually done far better than the English voices). Let's not forget how horrible the American voices were in DYNASTY WARRIORS 4. I played the imported version of it and the Japanese voices suited the characters a lot better. Part one had better voice acting. However, the game does have great graphics and a great story up until the end. The new town available is also nice but too bad you won't get to buy more things or even return to it later. The mini-games are a nice added feature but I still wish there were multiple endings. With the cheap price now, Onimusha 2 is definitely worth picking up though.

Great game worth getting.29984

John from Sacramento, CA U.S. says (13/Aug/2003):
This game is great. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen on the PS2. The story is great too but I only wish there was more to the ending. All that hard work for such a short ending!? Onimusha 2 is even better than the first chapter. Besides the ending, my only other complaint is the awkward controls. They take a lot to get use to, and while they may have worked well for resident evil, they're not really compatible with this game. I've found myself nearly dying during heated battles and you're surrounded by several big demons because of the controls. Besides all these minor flaws, Onimusha 2 is definitely worth buying especially since its so cheap now (only $20 for a brand new version).

Nice Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!29058

Jon from ***Grafton U.S.A*** says (31/Jul/2003):
I think this game is cool. Its a lot of fun beating the crap out of monsters and demonds. The graphics are so real as if they were alive and right next to you. The only thing I don't like about it is that the mosters come back to life arter you come back to the room you were just in, but the weapon choices are excelent. I love to us special attacks on the monsters. Although this game had its goods and its bads I still had a lot of fun with it.So, I give it a 8 out of 10.
I only have on boss to beat then I will have beaten the game!!!

One Bad A$$ Game17680

3-D from Bitburg, Germany says (17/Feb/2003):
One thing that a lot of people have said about this game is how messed up the controls are. I personally don't think that there's anything wrong with the controls. Yeah okay, you have to push up to move forward, and down to go backwards no matter which way that you're character is facing. But, with a game where the camera is at a fixed angle the controls are perfect, because no matter which angle the camera wants to take you holding up will take you forward through the environment. It's the same control scheme that's used in resident evil. True it takes a minute to get used to, but it doesn't hinder you in any battles. Whenever you're about to fight an enemy the game automatically faces you towards the closest baddie. The overall graphics make you drool. From the backgrounds to the outlandish character design this game is the shizzy. All the people and creatures in the game are beautifully detailed, and at any given moment in the game if you took a picture of the screen it looks real. The only thing that I don't like about the game is trading goods with other characters. This being a minor upset is easily forgiven when you lay demons to waste. My final sumation: this one's a buyer!!

one of the coolest games10911

eric from Blair, USA says (3/Nov/2002):
this was one of the funnest games i have played on my ps2 so far. although the controls sometimes felt awkward, i got use to them very quickly, and it's not like there is any platform jumping in this game. There is nothing like the feeling of smashing down on a guy with your huge mallet, instantly knocking him flat on the ground, or kicking a guy in the back and then impaling him with your katana. Or wickedly slicking and dicing 6 enemies at the same time with your sepamaru.

One of the best games I've played10480

Geoff from Plattsburgh, NY of the USA says (20/Oct/2002):
This is a great game. But it has a few flaws like it needs more enemys and mayby more weapons to choose from and more spectacular magic attacks . Also its biggest flaw is that its controls are mest up it takes you too long to feel at home with them. But other than that the game is fun it keeps you wanting more as you get further into the game. So if the creators fixed these flaws the would have the one of the best games ever.

Oriental style gore and drama.9647

Nick from Atlanta, GA says (15/Sep/2002):
Onimusha 2 is a great game. The graphics rock, the sound is superb, and the creatures are kind of Final Fantasy type monsters. The bigest flaw that keeps this game from being really fun is the friggin controls!!! Moving up makes your character go forward. Moving down makes you go backwards... whichever way you are oriented. Moving the direction pad side to side rotates your character in the direction you really want him/her to move. The exact type of control as in the Dino Crisis game. These control issues make games like this hard to want to play. I'm downright irritated with this. Somebody from CAPCOM needs some directional enhancing. This game could have easily been a 9 or 10.
