Okay I am not a huge game person and I think people who sit in front of the T.V. playing video games are nuts. So when my boyfriend rented this game for me (I love Disney and he thought I might like to play this game) I tried it and I sat in front of the T.V. for almost a week straight. I was so into the game. I can't really compare it to any other games because this is the first one I have seriously sat down to play. I was a little frusterated with some of the bosses and had to leave before I threw the T.V. across the room and I agree that the Gummi Ship thing didn't seem to fit well in the game but once I beat the game I was so proud that I could do it. I rated it a 10 because it was the best and the only game I have ever played.

When i started this game (on christmas night) I new it was going to be great.I knew because i had rented it before.i've been playing the game for 44 hours. im adicted to this game i dont know how anybody could not like this game. im at hollow bastion right now .i was surprised that i could beat riku on the second try.when i had got kiari back i went to traverse town but when i had to go back to hollo bastion icouldnt find were to go, im still trying to figure it out.after reading everybodys reviews i hpoe there is a # 2. this game is really intense and has good graphics.but that what makes it good.

Most people were turned off when they saw advertisements for this game. They thought it was silly, I mean a game with disney characters?? That's dumb. That is totally the opposite of what I thought. Sure there are disney characters, but who really cares. Everything else looked great. The graphics, the music, the FF characters. And those of you that think disney characters are dumb, i have one tip of advice GO BUY THE GAME. Don't knock it till you have tried. Get over it and hop on the band wagon.
When i saw KH advertisements on TV i knew i had to have it. The clincher was when i saw the absolute coolest and most amazing character for any video game ever made, Sephiroth. Unfortunately i did not have a PS2. So come X-mas I was given aPS2 and none other than Kingdom Hearts. I popped the game in and was hooked. The only way to make me stop playing would be to pry it from my lifeless fingers, or if i wanted to take the time to write a review.
KH's has many amazing features( graphics, voices and integrated characters) but here are two aspects that were by far the coolest.
1. Exploring- This is by far the coolest th ign about KH. Al though the commercials revealed a few thins about the game, most worlds were a complete shock. When i woudl meet characters i recognized or arrived at new worlds i was just amazed. I couldnt help but say "WOW, that is so cool" Its non-stop action and oyu never know what's going to hit you next. All you know is that it is going to be the coolest thing you have ever played.
2. Battle System- if you are a FF freak like me, I'm sure that you wall will agree that the old battle system (ATB) is getting old and (for lack of a better word) stupid. It just wasnt very realistic. 3 people wouldnt just go out and stand in fron of a monster waiting for their turn to attack. Another thin that bugged me were the flashes before you entered battle. Well in KH Square has done an amazing job of eliminating all of that, but keeping the key components that made their games so great. So they put their heads together and came up woth something amazing. The best battle system ever. Imagine a real time battle system that allows you to use magic, summon, use items and attack physically without the annoying waiting and battle screens.
Over all kingdom hearts gets a 9.99 out of 10. The only game that could possibly top it is the best game ever created. Final fanstasy 7

Okay, I'm going to reiterate what practically everybody else has said: I was more than a little skeptical about good old Walt Nazi--I mean, Disney--messing with my FF characters. But I was so pleasantly surprised, I can hardly put it into words. This game is like my ultimate childhood fantasy, but it DEFINITELY does not play like a kid's game. A few complaints: 1. Some of the bosses are ridiculously, I think unfairly, difficult and frustrating to beat. 2. The "lock on" targeting system is quirky. 3. You have no control over what the other members of your party are doing during battle.(Although this may be more true to life, it is certainly not true to RPG format.) 4. The whole Gummi ship thing is uninteresting, too complicated, and frankly just plain unecessary.
Okay, now that I've said all that, just let me say again that this game is certainly the best to come along in a while. Maybe Kingdom Hearts 2 will come along and do it one better--minus Gummi ships, of course :-)

My review on Kingdom Hearts is that it's the best video game that was ever released! It's full of action packed adventure and fun!! Once you start no matter how many times your parents tell you to get off your PS2 you won't be able to. Plus the theme song rocks and the graphics are awesome! The hero Sora a 14 year old boy lives on the destiny islands with his friends Riku and Kairi. He plans to go on an adventure with his friends but strange darkness invades the land. It is then when Sora discovers the keyblade! and finds himself in Traverse town and thus does his journey begin!!

When I saw the comercials for KH I was all probly stupid and easy, more for younger children. But my cousins friend said it was awesom! And being that it had Final Fantasy characters in it (another game I love) and that the cover of the game was awesome, I decided to use some of my Xmas $$$ and get it! Well its only been about a week now and I was and still am soo hooked on the game that Im fighting my last battle in the game! Its worht the whole 50 bucks! And its a game youll play over and over again because theres a secret ending if you get all torn pages for the pooh book, all 99 dalmations, the uilta wepon and i think thats all lol i forgot. Anyways the secret ending is tricky to get because alot of others and i used jack in Halloweentown as well as donald/goofy and you needed donald and goofy to get the trinity mark, but you cant switch back and after you defeat Oogie Boogie the trinitys gone to get 3 dalmations. The secret endings a preview of KH2, which i cannot wait for! GOOD LUCK!!!

This game is so awsome it is a disney cake with final fantsay as frosting and the graphics are so well detail and the storyline and action and with some comedy like when donald drags the screen down to him so we the players can see him talk to goofy cause he is so short.it was even cool when you could fly with peter pan and swoop down to slash and strike hook or the heartless. or when you had to fight the dog cerebus and riku is a awsome character,and one of the other cool things is when donald and goofy help you out and they dont die they just get knocked out for a moment.but this game i can play for ever and ever, and not get board.well i hope they are working on the next one now or they even make a next one and if they do im gonna get it.

This game is the greatest game that I have ever experienced in my entire gaming career. It combines the superb gameplay and story that Squaresoft is known for, with everything that ever made Disney magical.
Story-- This game has one of the best storylines I have ever experienced. For those of you worried about the game being "kiddie", I have news for you. This game's plot is darker and deeper than any Final Fantasy or any other Squaresoft game save Xenogears and FF7. And the Disney aspects balance the darker parts perfectly. The Disney aspects add a certain charm that makes the game lightyears better than Final Fantasy.--

Characters-- The characters are fantastic! Sora, Riku, and Kairi are great and the addition of all the Final Fantasy characters is enough of a reason to consider a purchase. There are over 100 Disney characters and each one fits in the plot perfectly. In fact, to my surprise, every single character fits perfectly into the plot.-- 10/10
Gameplay-- Superb. A perfect balance of Action, RPG, Platforming, and Adventure. The only problems are that the Gummi ship mini-game takes a lot of getting used to and the camera can be quite crappy at times.-- 9/10
Sound-- Excellent! This game packs the best audio around. Superb voice-acting, excellent music, and fantastic sound effects.-- 10/10
Graphics-- WOW!!!! The character models, animations, special effects, character designs, textures, and CG are all simply indescribable.-- 10/10
Fun-- 10/10
Overall, this is the GREATEST game that I have EVER played!! Get this if you have EVER even remotely liked a Squaresoft game or Disney movie!!

Stepping up from nintendo 64 to Kingdom Hearts on ps2 was shocking. The intro to the game was STUNNING! I was sitting there gawking and pointing at the T.V. screen. Its truly a masterpeice among games and my favorite! The theme song is awesome too! ^^

This game is one of the best games I have for my PS2. It is an interesting concept to mix Disney with Suaresoft, but they pulled it off perfectly. I love the A.I. system with Goofy and Donald. Most games that try to to pull this off mess it up and the characters get in the way of gameplay, but not in this game, they are strong and actually help you. It is also pleasantly challenging (a huge relief from other games I've played). The reason I gave it 9/10 is the little space game you play in between worlds, the one where you have to fly the gummi ship, it just feels out of place in this sort of game. Anyway, I thought it was a great game and would recommend to anyone.

This a astonishing,very well done game. I applaude both companys SquareSoft and Disney for the great design of graphics, sound, characters, control, and especially story.I for one am not "into" very many Disney related products, but I am a huge fan of SquareSoft and when I heard of this title at first, with the combination of SquareSoft and Disney I was afraid that this game would not be very good, lol boy did it prove me wrong. The story was great I can always count on SquareSoft to give me that and with the help of Disney this story makes it even more interesting.The characters were excellent, they really make you get to know the characters lives in this game. The graphics and sound are amazing; Final Fantasy's CG,game play graphics,and music always are breath taking, and Kingdom Hearts does the same. Control and battle system are awsome alot more interactive movements and battling than most traditional RPGs making it more fun. All and all this game was made with great effort by the people of Squaresoft and Disney for all their fans. Keep up the good work you two. ^_^

the reasons i love this game is because of the realism of the attacks the magic and also the plot of how your trying to find your friends throughout the game. The only problem that i am having is that i cant beat cerebus. I love how the game slows down your final hit against the heartless also. It is also cool how they get people like chip and dale, Goofy, Donald, Hercules, and tarzan in the game. It is also cool how you have to help all of the dalmation puppies get home and how you get to at the beginning fight the people on the island and how they added in the people from final fantasy like cloud, cid, and all of the others. One thing that i dont get though is why exactly all of the planets started to dissapear and you have a ship to fly to planets that should have already dissapered and also when do you get the people to summon like mushu from mulan, dumbo, simba, and bambi because i haven't gotten them. Who else got scared when the tiger in the deep jungle just leaps out and starts attacking you. thanx for your time

I didnt know who the game was about when i bought it the whole reason i bought it was for the disney characters (how lame is that). My sister got this game for christmas a little while ago and we didn't play the game for a little while. Then I started to play and I got hooked because I normaly don't play much playstation. I loved this game becasue there was so much to do and it's actually a challenge. Most games are so easy but this actually takes thinking. I am stuck in the colloseum in olympia because the games won't open up after I beat that three headed dog. I am frustrated but I will try to find a way to get in. I really enjoy Playing the game.

Awesome game! I have all the Final Fantasy Games, and now this game. Kingdom Hearts is better than all the FF's, because it has a variation of Characters, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, SORA, Kairi, Riku, Sepiroth! Also you control all movements. Oh by the way, if you want to challenge yourself, play the game with no assories, and have the same Keyblade equiped for the whole game! I did, I beat the game, but I had to fight Sepiroth 19 times! And Ansem 26times(all forms). No codes! No book! I was at level 96 with sora, and had enough AP, to equip all abilities. And if anyone ever noticed, Sora's shoes, are clown shoes! hahaha! GO SORA! YOU RULE!

It was truly the most stunning experience ever.The graphics are the most beautiful eyefuls of stunning scenes i could get.The storyline was indeed the most awesome thing i've seen in a game made by Disney.I haven't beat it yet,But i wish it could only be longer than just 10 worlds.(sigh...)Well,there is hope for a sequel(how do i know this?)Because,a secret scene and a epilouge will show you only one thing for KH...It has a bright future coming.And if you buy the game,it'll become even brighter.Plus,You'll have one of those videogame experiences,where you can't take controller away from your hands.Let me tell you the things that will persuade you to buy this game. .Stunning graphics .An all star cast of voices(Haley Joel Osment:Sora,Mandy Moore:Aerith,and more!) .Oringinal voices for the disney charcaters .An all new battle system which will leave you wanting more .A well put together plot from the minds of Disney and Squaresoft .A really interactive game .10(or more,i think)worlds,containing over 100 disney characters .And last,but definitly,not least...The most fun you'll ever have with a Disney game
