This game is Awsome...yet so sad! | | Kairi Hall from California says (29/Jan/2005): | Kingdom Hearts is the most fun (yet difficult) game in the universe! It is sooooo sad how Riku gets possessed, yet Sora stays by his side. Kair lost her heart...that was sad. It is funny how right before Sora almost kills himself for kairi, he smiles at Donald and Goofy. Then he turns into pure darkness and forms into a shadow heartless. Kairi notices this when he meets up with her. Since they shared a heart from eating a Paupu fruit, when he killed himself, she got his heart. She protects him from a bunch of Shadows. Then he turns normal and she later gives him a good luck charm. Kairi really is stubborn...but cute!
Riku is really a good guy. He was the Keyblade master, and Sora was supposed to give him the blade. When the keyblade realized he was opening his heart to darkness (even though it was to save Kairi) it went to Sora because his heart was stronger. Riku then got possesed by Ansem, who was also taken by darkness, and Ansem took over. Riku still lived inside Ansem now, but Sora defeated Ansem's Phisical form. Even though Ansem's Phisical form is gone, he still can control Riku occasionally.
The game is tough to beat (might i suggest that when you play, dont go to End of the World until you are level 70) so level up! I love watching the cut scenes over and over, and i allways start over a new game to watch the beginning show over and over! I will tape the end and post it on my site! Contact me! The theme song "Simple and Clean" is a good song for the game. It has a part that says "Regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare me at all. Nothing's like before." That shows that Sora is not afraid to save all of the worlds. Nothing is like before because his world is gone.

I think kingdom hearts is the greaest game i have played.i think kairi is sooooooooo hot sora is cool and they seem like the coolest couple.the journey begins at destiny islands a paradise where three friends live,sora kairi and riku. day after day ,sora kairi and riku talk and dream of the places and the new worlds just beyond their small island.then one very very strange night,a terrible darkness invades destiny islands.then sora finds riku on the small island, then he dissapears and sora gets the keyblade.then sorafinds kairi in the sercret cave and then she dissapears too!
then sora awakens in another world, a place called traverse town.his hopes of new worlds have come true but kairi and riku are nowhere to be seen.
meanwhile court wizard donald and captin goofy arive from disney castle under the kings orders (king mickey) to find the key blade master which turns out to be sora.
to find the kairi and riku,and discover what is happing to all of their worlds,sora must join hands with court wizard donald and captin goofy and embark on an epic journey
i think that the tale of kingdom hearts is a great one and will be loved forever and please if you think this is just some game think agian!!! this is the best game you will ever play people seriously!!!!

| best game ever!!! | | nikki from bay of plenty, nz says (22/Jan/2005): | ahhh! i love this game it is so cool! i can't believe that there are people out there who don't like this game. the graphics were cool, i love watching all the movies me and my brother alwys turn the volume up and sit very quietly to watch them lol. i love the song, altough the lyrics don't really make sense. i found the game quite difficult, i got stuck alot and i'm stuck on the hollow bastion now. its so hard! i've been playing for 76 hours. some of you guys spent less then $20 on this game omg! i spent $120! but it was well worth it and i'm so gonna buy KH2. one weird thing i've come across tho is that the game gets easier as u progress not harder. hmmm this game is challanged if you don't play many games, but if you do i spose it would be quite easy. but its still cool and its for any age group. my brother, dad and i are obsessed and we 7, 15 and 46 years of age! overall very entertaining. and even if anyone didn't like it i think it would be because it was eithr to hard or their just retarded

Squaresoft has done a great job with the graphics and the characters and etc. All the characters have great personalities and are thought out and drawn creatively. Sora and some of the other characters like Riku may have big feet but thats just creativity. For those who only bash the game because of that is wrong because there is more to it than that. The battle system was perfect and easy to use. The storyline was unique and will hopefully blossom in kh2 which looks very interesting. It was great how they merged with disney to make an
uplifting game. Disney somehow gives it contrast something you wont find with another combination. It is truly worth the buy if you like action/rpgs, its very innovative but dont buy if you dont like or hate disney with a passion or you've never seen it before because those childhood memories comeback when you play this game.

- Its great if you rent it but is better if you just buy and spend alot of time with it.

- It doesnt matter if you're a hardcore gamer because it matches/surpasses anyother game in my opinion

When her rock falls to the ground start hitting her.Now when she sends out her heartless let Donald,goofy,or beast to beat them up sometimes you'll have to kill them.When she starts to throw magic go hide somewhere were she cant hit you. To beat Maleficent the dragon you need to hide behind a log or something. You'll want to heal Donald and goofy as much as you can.If donald and goofy die and you don't have magic or potion.WAIT first you need to you your summon's after genie and simba are gone pull out tinker bell and keep her out .Now back to what I was saying if you don't have magic or potion go up to Maleficent when she's not spitting fire and hit her in the face until she spits fire again then go behind a log and heal DONALD and ONLY donald because he has magic and he could help goofy. Ok and KH2 sposed to come out in March 2005. And Kairi is soooooooo HOT

It's like the Grand Theft of kids games, so to speak. Although I wish it was more open ended meaning that after you beat it it's over. Oh well I guess I spoiled with games like Grand Theft and Rachet and Clank . But anyway I just finally got to the end of Kingdom Hearts, after a breif hietis, it took me 75 hours to completly finish. Witch isn't so bad I since it took me over 95 to finish San Andreas, with 100% compleated. But anyway I started Kingdom last summer and I guess I didn't realize how much time I spent out doors last summer because I put it in and and was shocked to find out that I'd only had 70 hours in it . I then spent the next five hours deturmed to finish it when I finally saw the last still that says THE END I was so exicted I took a picture of the screen. well anyway this was more to brag then to review . I thought this game was well worth the 15 bucks I paid for and will gladly fork out 50 for Kingdom Hearts 2 when it comes out. Well anyway I got to run but Finally I gotta say I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! One more time and I love this website. THANKS for all the fun!!!!!!And help at times.

I mean, sure, they have some corny characters, but for those Final Fantasy obsessed girls like me, they will hopefull agree with what i am saying.
Cloud and Rikku are hot in Kingdom Hearts. Period. and who CARES whether or not Cloud's sword has bandages around them? They look fine to me, and he only wrapped them around the middle of the sword, not the tip. Maybe he just wanted to stab the enemies- WHO KNOWS?!!!!
And for those pottymouth people up there with one star, well, maybe they just couldn't beat the game. Maybe they're WANNABES, trying to look cool by cussing and disobeying the ten commandments. They have no right saying that the game sucks like *bleep.* They have no honor and decency.
I think that this game was awesome, the graphix, Rikku and Cloud,the music, and the characters. Hey, do you know how hard it is to merge two companies together, pick the characters out, pick a singer, pick the worlds, and make it look good?
Believe me, it's not as easy as it seems. And since it was made for kids, of COURSE there was no cussing. Why do you think it was rated E? If you hate this game so much, why don't u go play State of Emergency and shoot people? It's rated M, so why don't u play THAT instead of Kingdom Hearts if you think you're too good enough for this great game?
I think that this was a sensational game, and whoever doesn't think so, should at least give it a shot. I bought this game for eighteen dollars. not eighty, eighTEEN. i waited until the price went down because my family's tight on money. it's probably really cheap rite now, so go on and buy the game. I can promise you that it won't be disapointing.

The best character is probably Riku and i wish him and Kairi were playable, not Donald and Goofy playable but Sora playable!!! There was one thing i didn't like, i'd prefer if you could take other characters out of their worlds, who cares about Ariel not being able to move, stick some legs on her with Donalds magic for christs' sake!!! She did on the actual film
Jack skellington was amazing too so why couldn't he leave, but atleast they were in the party, even if just for a short time!!!Kingdom hearts brings a smile to just about everyones' face and everyone likes Winnie the Pooh, the mini- games were fantastic!!!

What are you, four years old? This game is a CHILDS game. "Oh, look at me, I go around and bop things that have no hearts with a big key!" The only good thing about this game is creating and flying your OWN gummi ships, and by the way, thats the gayest name for a ship ive ever heard. Disney and Sqaursoft? What the hell? Whinnie the pooh. WHINNIE THE POOH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! SqaureSoft made a big mistake working with Disney to make such a game. Look at their feet. What is wrong with their feet? Are they clowns? SqaureSoft let Disney take characters from the Final Fantasy games and completely change them. For one thing about the "KEY BLADE" it frigin chooses who it's master is? What the crap? What if it chose Bob the Builder? The universe would end. AND it chose and frigin kid instead of someone older and cooler like Squall. And whats with Cloud? He bandaged up his sword, is it wounded or something? This game is not an RPG. Also, the summons suck. And they didn't use any worlds from SqaureSoft, they were all Disney worlds. Dont waste your money on this game. It dosnt even make any sense. The "HEARTLESS"? Oh please, my frigin grandma could come up with a better villin. There are so many things to bitch about in this game. "Oh, we're supposed to be saving worlds and stuff, but we'll just stop to pick flowers at the Olympis Colesium. And Destiny Islands, WHY is it called Destiny ISLANDS? It is ONE ISLAND! And when you "kill" the heartless, they drop money. What the hell?! Why would heartless need money? They dont even have a frigin heart for cryin out loud! God! And I know this really dosnt have anything to do with Kingdom Hearts, but WHY IS IT THAT NO ONE LIKE FINAL FANTASY 9?! Argh! And Donald and Goofy are always talking about not meddling with other worlds, and then they come barging into Traverse Town and look for Squall, which I have no Idea what the hell he was doing here, And then they grab Sora and run off to lock the keyholes. Talk about not meddling! Sora's world gets blown the hell up, and then SOMEHOW he just MAGICALLY APPEARS in Traverse Town and is alive and well. The music sucks. The lyrics suck and dont make sense. In the beginning of the game, Riku comes up with the BRILLIANT idea that building a raft and sailing away will give them some unexplained access to other worlds. Then the big black thing appears in the sky and somehow he knows all about the door opening and now they can go to other wordls. What the hell? I really hope Kingdom Hearts 2 is less childesh than this one. I'm so tired of people going, "OH ANSEM IS SO HARD!" This game is easy and boring. The plot line just stinks. You could write a story about a frigin rat and it would be better. Somehow Tidus and Wakka end up at Destiny Island. Somehow Sqaull, Yuffie, and Aerith have this unlimited knowledge of Ansem and the heartless. Somehow a princess named Kairi ends up at Destiny Islands. Somehow Mickey is the King of...Everything. For some reason Merlin came to Traverse Town. For some reason Merlin has a book which is Whinnie the gay ass pooh. For some reason the gay ass pooh book is missing pages. Somehow, the puppies and the pages of Ansems report got scattered all over the different worlds. None of the game makes any sense. Somehow Monstro can breath in space. Somehow characters from a completely other world in a completley other galaxy in a completely other DIMENSION end up in a Disney dimension. SOMEHOW. FOR SOME UNEXPLAINED REASON. If a 1 year old could understand a video game, he would get bored with this after the first 10 minutes. SqaureSoft has discraced them self. Every one of their games I can think of is rated teen. For example in the Final Fantasy games it is adultry. It is mature. For those of you who are childish, and think cussing is funny or something like, "oh my god, he just said damn! and hell!" Curse words are not just smacked into story for no reason. It enhances the feeling, the emotion of the story. In the FF series there is violence, cursing, sex related themes, smoking, war, and other things. This does not make it something to laugh at. Just because characters say damn, that does not make them cool. It makes the game more realistic. If your mommy is like, "Uh-oh, that game said ass, or bitch or WHATEVER!" then she needs to grow up. Zidane, from FF9, is he a little stupid, gay, weird boy like Sora? Or is he a cursing, theiving PERV? God you people understand nothing. you are so immature. Any way, the point is this game is not worth wasting $50 on. I have so many other things I could say about this game but I dont have the time. So long.

You get lost in a lot of areas of the game with the different world and all, but somehow, the creators explained everything SOMEWHERE in the game. There were a lot of secrets including, my favorite, the 100 missing Dalmations. It took forever to get that secret and in the end it payed off by getting the Ultimate Gummi Colletcion! The characters are funny, strong, and not boring (most of the time). However, it did get annoying using different Disney characters in the party. I just kept the original three always. The bosses are challenging, almost all of them are. the hardest boss would have to have been Chernabog (nothing against Sephiroth for he was a hella boss, but I had him defeated the second time I challenged him). Chernabog has that damn fire attack that almost killed me everytime! Overall, I give Kingdom Hearts a 10\10. It is a Classic RPG and if you are a true gamer, you will try this sooner or later and love it.

| Not Worth the Money | | Game Gal from Aurora,USA says (15/Sep/2004): | I suppose the cover of the "Kingdom Hearts" game is quite eye catching. Not only this, but the trailers for it braught an upstart in my thaughts of the game. Although Disney and Square were well at advertising to the younger veiwers who are more impressionable, I was not so easily taken in, unlike my brother. Uppon playing this game I had high hopes, which quickly fell to the floor.
Sure, the graphics were moderatly well developed but after the begining story Square quickly became lazy, making speaking bubbles and noticable glitches (walking trough the walls etc. Not only expecting more from a well publisized game but I completed 54% of the game in the first day of playing.
All an all if you wish to play, try renting the game first you'll probably have it finished by the day it's due back. Peoples under the age of 13, I would say this may be a possibly challenging game but for you hard core gamers this could be an in between games, game or look out for KH2 maybe Square spent more time on that one due to KH consumer profits.
I enjoyed it a little and hope that Square puts more time into KH2.

When you see games like FFX and X-2, you know that Kingdom hearts isn't a masterpiece by anymeans. The totally linear gameplay aloows a once through experience where as FFX and X2 have so many sidequests and secrets, i cant even begin to list them. As for the graphics i was impressed during the opening/closing cinema but we all know that FFX had better graphics and that was made sever years later. I hated playing games like EOE because of the boring plot and linear gameplay. Also all the features of the characters have changed. Cid was a real jack ass in the FF games but here he doesn't even smoke! I am embarrased to have spent $50 on KH and it will be a cold day in hell when i buy KH. As for SQUARE ENIX, I haven't given up hope and i plan on buying lots more games from them and am expecting a awesome experience. However i will read more reviews from the public rather than the people who are trying to sell the game.
