BEST GAME EVER! | | kuri from tiwan says (22/Mar/2005): | i love this game its my favorite of all time,at first when i was like 13 and i saw this game on tv im like wow this game would so rock!but then i saw the disney characters and im like..eww i hate disney!but the theme song sorta just made it all seem very cool.i beat this game..in about 4 days...because i was so addicted to it,i wish i would of been longer tho becuase it was so good i didnt want it all to end(btw this game is long) its not easy ,..its more hard than it is easy .the graphics are really really nice they are better than any other ps2 game ive played the music and voices are really good..RIKU IS SOOOOOOOOOO SOO HOT!yes riku was my favorite character from the game.i fell in love with him when i first saw the commercial for it on tv.i was like WOW this guy is extremly hot!too bad he was kind of evil most of the game but in the end he was a good guy..but man i really dont like kairi..i acually hate her.if i wer sora or riku i wouldnt spend any time or effort looking for her or w/e i really couldnt care less.to keep myself to stop playing the game because of kairi(who i think is also ugly) i tried to make myself believe that RIKU is the one i am looking for,saving ect...so that would mean that in the middle in the game the scene where sora hugs kairi in the hollow baston..riku+sora=yaoi moment!!(if u know what yaoi means you would understand).i cant wait for KH2!!it would be so cool!over all this game rocks!

Squaresoft has done a great job with the graphics and the characters and etc. All the characters have great personalities and are thought out and drawn creatively. Sora and some of the other characters like Riku may have big feet but thats just creativity. For those who only bash the game because of that is wrong because there is more to it than that. The battle system was perfect and easy to use. The storyline was unique and will hopefully blossom in kh2 which looks very interesting. It was great how they merged with disney to make an
uplifting game. Disney somehow gives it contrast something you wont find with another combination. It is truly worth the buy if you like action/rpgs, its very innovative but dont buy if you dont like or hate disney with a passion or you've never seen it before because those childhood memories comeback when you play this game.
summary:
- Its great if you rent it but is better if you just buy and spend alot of time with it.
- It is not too easy nor is it too hard
- It doesnt matter if you're a hardcore gamer because it matches/surpasses anyother game in my opinion
- It doesnt matter if your over 13. It is not childish just play the game and you'll see.

| Sephiroth is easy! | | Can't Say from Olympia, USA says (19/Dec/2003): | Sephiroth is actually easier than he seems. I don't know why i hear some people think he is hard, even some hardcore gamers think so! An easy to beat him is to make sure you know the CONTROLLS. If you do not, i suggest practicing by entering coliseum tournaments alone. Once you have a good grasp of the controlls, try to level up enough to use Second Chance (known as auto-life by some people). It is also a good idea to equip abilities that raise your magic recovery rate. Carry some hi-potions, unless you are not that confident in which you will carry elixers. During the fight with Sephiroth, immediately cast aero. Then, run towards Sephiroth and jump slash him. If you run low on health cast cure (which should be one of your quick spells). Keep doing this until you see Sephiroth's health start to go down. Then i suggest using abilities like Ars Arcanum to hit him. Once he starts using Sin Harvest (magic where a halo appears above your head), try to hit him as quickly as possible. If you do this correctly, his magic will be canceled out. If you do get hit, use a hi-potion and your aero should come back for a limited time. When he changes forms (or something to that extent), just go all out on him because he is not as dangerous. Just remember not to hesitate to use aero or cure when necessary. You will also ALWAYS level up every time you kill Sephiroth, which is an easy way to level up.

I been hearin that people don't like the summons well that sounds like a personal problem to me and it doesn't change the fact that Kingdom Hearts was awesome. Well in any case if you didn't like the game you should swallow your pride and play again cause personally it was so good that I beat 5x and let me guess you haters are like "SOOOOOOO WHAT" maybe you didn't like it because you rushed through the game and didn't enjoy it let ask the question did you see the extra movie as a preview for Kingdom Hearts 2 did you beat the Hades Cup did you even attempt to beat Sephiroth. Well if you don't like Kingdom Hearts you shouldn't even be reading my review cause I'm a fan and I defend Kingdom Hearts in all conditions. Anyways I hope the true fans enjoyed the game to the full extent and I hope you did eveything you could possibly do and in any case if you didn't go synthesize everything in the accesory shop and get your ultimate weapon which is a familiar name from final fantasy Ultima Weapon but as the fans know already Kingdom Hearts deserved a TEN and that's what it got and I hope you all got Kingdom Hearts 2.....................Fighting Sephiroth is HOPELESS!!!!!!!! When i first hear about this game, i thought, ohh no a game for kiddies.
But........i was wrong
The most cool thing i thought when i first played is whas the intro song, wow very cool indeed.
I liked the story but....it was a bit laim a littttlle bit.
The characters are so cool, and i liked the the outfits for donald and goofy.
The battle system, caught my worries, and they came true, it's hard to pick a command from item attack etc etc, even if you are a pro at button switching.
But some of my worries were wrong, the battle system was realistic and fun to play with, definately in a battle against Leon Cloud and sephiroth, i don't know why, but many would agree with me, that those characters are amazing in design fighting etc.
And of course the voice overs, wow........
when i heard about DAVID BOREANEZ doing the voice over of Leon, i was in seventh heaven, and then it became clear Leon is definately the best looking dude in Kingdom hearts.
this game is a MUST for rpg fans or action fans, and also those who love final fantasy, this is the game of the millenium, and i can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 2, i hope leon will be out of the game-_-, because if he were in kingdom hearts 2 he would be old^^, but in a way i will miss him very much cause he's the number one hero with Cloud.
Squaresoft our dreams have been enlightend, and have become reality.

| Pretty cool. | | Mark Talob from London, France says (31/Oct/2002): | This game was really cool but it had it's up's and it had it's down's. Up's because it had great grahpics, same voices from the movie and it had a good storyline with a lot of action.
Now for the down's. You should be able to save anywhere from the pause point instead of looking all over for a save point.
It takes to long to get a potion or do a cure spell because many time I was battling before you get the cure spell and my health was low so I tried to get a potion but as the potion was in the air.....WHAM, I died before I got the potion.
For the final down the ending stunk, it was the worst ending I ever saw in any game. Everbody should have been reunited and the other worlds join together. And you should be able to keep going when it says the end and while it plays that dinky music. Now the third down would go in the trash if you got the different ending and everybody WAS reunited and ALL the worlds joined together and you were able to keep going (I doubt it does do that) but if it does then that would be good. One time I got the stinky ending and I waited for five minutes while it was playing that dinky little music so I just turned the game off and started a new one. O.k short recap for whoever made this game made a Kingdom Hearts 2 then they should:
1.Be able to save anywhere.
2.Get faster potions (not so slow.)
3.Bad Ending make a better one.
| a good game but lacking one thing | | Bob from Wheeling, USA says (2/Dec/2002): | now kingdom hearts is a great game and is appealing to younger kids but also older kids. sure you just hit X alot but how many of you rpg fans have played a final fantasy before. if you think about it all you do is choose what you want them to do then hit X. it gets kinda boring. but in kingdom hearts you hit X repetedly so you dont get bored looking at the time when your aloud to attack. also you can use spells and glide. i dont own the game but i want to. i rented it twice and love it. the only problem i can find with it is the camera angles. like it gives you the worst angle when your right in the middle of a battle. i am only on riku's 2nd form right now. for those of you who say its a kiddie game i think it is kinda challenging. sure you may be a great gamer but not everyone is. it is great to be able to see all of the old characters from disney in one game. the peter pan levels great when you can fly. also it doesnt deserve a ten because i think they could have done without the gummi ship thing. its really anoying to go through. i think the story is pretty good myself. i like it i think some people just regard themselves to good for this game cause they got disney in it. you get to kill the villians thats not to disney. also its nice that your partners can revive themselves. then you dont have to waste stuff on them.i think this game deserves a solid 9
| Kingdom Heart made a video game believer out of me. | | Amber from Alabama says (6/Apr/2003): | This game first caught my eye way back when the release date was being advertised for it because of the Disney aspect. Though I never actually planned on ever playing it. That changed when my husband bought it for me for V-day. After opening it up and playing it for only a few minutes I was hooked. I had never seen graphics so bright and clear. Even my husband a person who has been gaming all his life had to comment about how beautiful and crisp the graphics are on it.
I've never been one for the role playing games but this one made it fun for me. It's not what you think of when you think of Disney, it's better.
The sound is clear, there is no mumbling and static. Just nice clear sound. You can understand each character perfectly when they speak. You can even understand Donald Duck. Which that right there is awesome. The music that was chosen for the background goes perfectly with each scene and circumstance.
The gameplay for Kingdom Hearts is nice and smooth. It doesn't move to fast or to slow. It goes at the perfect speed. That is whatever speed you chose your character to go. I get dizzy kind of easily from time to time and this game hasn't once made me dizzy.
I have found myself playing this for hours. I love this game. It totally has a fun factor of way over 10.
I truly am a video game believer now. Thank you to the makers of this game.

Squaresoft, heed my words, if you don't make a sequel, everybody who loves this game will be very upset, and will probably regret typing these reviews, because you can't make a kh without making a sequel. If you just wanted to make only one game, you should have made a better ending that is more "endish" get what I'M sayin'? Anyway, this game rocks. No doubt about it. The final fantasy games kinda sucked, but this game makes up for it. Besides "Vice City", this is my most favorite game. Squaresoft, do me a favor, and keep up the good work. P.S.:Squaresoft, try to get disney to help ya'll out okay?...BUT WAIT! I'm not done yet. I think the sequel should have this storylne:After Sora and Mickey sealed the door, Riku and mickey escaped from the door, they found another world, called "Phantom World", and while there, they both get captured by dark, cloaked men called "The Dark Hunters" and they subdate them. they wake up two hours later, and when they do, they've learned that:riku is temporarily blind, and mickey is temporarily unable to use his magic. In order to escape, Mickey and riku exit the room that they were in, and set out to look for a cure for their subdations....
Please try to get Squaresoft to read this storylne, PLEASE!!

I all ready compleated kingdom hearts 1 and I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 2. Sora was a fun hero to play and I can't wait to be him again. I spent hours playing it and every time I got back from school you would find me playing Kingdom Hearts in my room. I think the hardest part was the ending but it was still fun. defeating the heartless was realy fun. It was also realy cool how the heartless and Disney characters came togeather and building a gummy ship and going through different Disney levels and I can go on and on like my favoret level is between Tarzan or the ending level and I know when I have to fight somethin theres no more music and you can hear the blowing speaking of music I love the theam song "HOLD ME WHATEVER LIES BEOND THIS MORNING IS A LITTLE LATER ON" I even recorded the song and replaid the ending just to hear it again thats how much I like it. The grapics were amazing especily the levels they were beautiful. I would give the gameplay a 10 the charicters moved around perfectly. now the lifespan that was OK it got better at the end because your lifespan would get longer This game was a original because it has what other games don't it has Disney with style. I think we can all learn a lesson that is if you can understand it I learned that your true firends will allways be there for you.

Kimdom Hearts is a combination of Final Fantasy and Disney characters in the ultimate battle against the heartless. There are so many awesome things about it like its space age graphics, its awesome sound system( I almost turned the volume down when it was on 5), and amazing storline. Right now I have every weapon for Goofy and Donald( each LV 60) and every weapon for Sora!!! This game is so orginal because each new level is fresh. One day Over christmas break, I played for 16 hours without realizing it. Also the bosses are hard,but you always want one more chance at beating them! One thing I had trouble with was finding all summon gems. This is a list of where they are,
1. Simba: talk to Leon in the secret waterway after defeating oppisite armour.
2. Genie: Lock Agraba
3. Dumbo: obtain hi jump and open the chest where you see Pinnochio find the gummi block
4. Tinkerbell: Lock Neverland
5. Mushu: beat Dragon malifecent
6. Bambi: help pooh get some honey with a baloon
here are where you get the items for the Ultima weapon
1 Power Gem : beat up pirates in neverland
2 Lucid Gem : beat up gargoyle in holloween town
3 Thunder Gem: beat up everything but bosses shrks and those squid heartless to get it
4 Mystery goo: beat up mushrooms
5 Gale ; beat up those freaky winged heartless in end of the world
| Humorous, Fun, and Addictive... | | GuardianD from Baltimore says (27/Dec/2002): | Well, a couple of years ago, I gave up on consoles for a while... got more into PC games. Recently, with the release of DBZ for PS2, I decided to pick one up. I had decided that there were going to be 4 games I would get right off: DBZ, Robotech, FFX, and Kingdom Hearts. I honestly only even considered this game on the advice of a friend. Mind you, I'm not saying anything bad about FFX, but... I've found that I can't stop playing Kingdom Hearts. Yes, I'm a big DBZ fan, and I grew up watching Robotech... but this game, Kingdom Hearts, snagged me from the very start. I was quite suprised at how well the Disney characters were played into the story. Like others, I am a little offed that there aren't more FF characters in play here, but that's ok. I've gotten pretty used to Sora, and have come to think of him as "today's" Cloud or Zidane. I wouldn't want to put too many details into this review, as this game has so many "surprises" in store for the player. I will say this: If you own a PS2, you like SquareSoft RPGs, and have EVER liked Disney cartoons at all... you simply MUST own this title. Younger players may find it a bit challenging, particularly with the real-time combat... but that's fine, it's more than entertaining enough for "mom and dad" to "help out" along the way. (And for them to play it themselves will the 'tikes are in bed.)
| An awsome mix of Squaresoft and Disney!!!!!!! | | Zach from from Midgar says (21/Jan/2003): | The way that Squaresoft worked this game out is amazing.I have been a big fan of the Final Fantasy series for as long as I can remember and this is one of the best yet.The voices of Cloud ,Leon,Yuffie,etc.Were about perfect.The first reveiws and things I heard about it thought were pretty dang corny.The fact that Squaresoft and Disney were working together was pathetic.Then I heard from my cousin that he loved so I decided I'd give it a try.Right when I saw the first sequence I knew this was going to be one of the the best games I ever played.The graphics in the game are the best yet I've seen on PS2.What pissed me off is that they have only 2 FMVS in the entire game.The fact that you can fight Sephiroth in this game is amazing.(I found him a lot easier to beat in FF7).He still has that,I can kick your ass style on him.The voices of Squall(Leon) and Cloud were awsome.Though the reason that I give this game a 9 star rating is the lack of Final Fantasy worlds.Wouldn't have been awsome to travel in Balabm or Midgar.Plus the fact that they completly forgot about FF9.Zidane and Princess Garnett(Dagger)would have played an awsome role.Yet another flaw I find in the game is that you can not take any characters(except Donald and Goofy)to outher worlds.There are many flaws in thais game ,but I can't wait for the sequel!!!!!!!!
| Kingdom Hearts is the best game for the PS2,great use of FF charecters! | | Michael from Clarksville TN USA says (10/Aug/2003): | This game is possibly the best video game ever,it had a great plot and the graphics where beautiful and the sound and music rocks.fun,funny clever and very hard at times, the hidden bosses made the game more challenging and the tournaments.then they brought the best game charecter back,Cloud!all the Final Fantasy charecters either friend or foe, made the story even cooler then the plot twist with Ansem and Riku made it very challenging,the beginning and end where great,how the end left you hanging and wanting for more.all the cool Disney worlds and chareters where perfected with graphic wise and how you could roam while you where in a fight.the new keychains to make the keyblade even stronger where cool, and Donald and Goofy made themselfs cool in this game by helping you and fihgting by your side no matter what,and along with the magic and new items. themagic and synathis items you get help you through out the game and the new abilitys you learn look cool and are strong (I.E Trinity Limit)but over all this game rocked, alot of people thought this game was gonna be a failure because of the Disney charecters but they made it cooler and the game was a huge sucsess,I would defenaly reccomend this game to anyone who likes to use there imagination and loves fantasy or Disney! great job Squaresoft and Disney!!!

Fight's in Kingdom Hearts are not at all boring. They keep you on your toes and are usually fast and furious. Especially when you get like twenty guys comeing at you! I will admit that during battles and some close quarter exploring segements that the camera does get kinda funky. Its not to bad though if you lock on to a guy. The graphics on this game are good. The clouds that you first see when you start a new game are amazing! The characters in the game are instantly likeable and funney. By the way the theme song for the game It plays during the opening video is really good. As a madder of fact I played the opening video a couple of times just to hear it. But aside from all of this stuff the game is just fun. There is alot of fighting, boss battles ( which are great and super fun!), puzzle solving, item collecting, character meeting, and general do goodin. And if you like any of that stuff this game is for you! Even if you are a seasoned RPG adtic ( like me ) then try it on Expert mode. I've just started playing Kingdom Hearts, but I've watched my husband playing it for a little while now. It's a very exciting game with cute Disney characters like Alice, the white rabbit, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, the Genie, Hades and others from all your favorite Disney shows and movies, and the classic characters from SquareSoft's great Final Fantasy gameline, like Squall (Leon), Cloud, Tidus, Wakka, even Aerith. I really enjoy the voices of the characters, and the little sidequests that you get to take. The story line is just great, and there's a lot of action. The worlds have amazing details and scenery. There's something for everyone in this game! I admit, I did have a tough time getting used to the new system of magic, etc, because I've played many of the Final Fantasy games. And the fighting and finding of the items took a little bit to get used to also. But once you get to Traverse Town, you do get the hang of it, and things start coming into place. And they've made a game guide to help out, just incase you get stuck. I highly recommend that, even if you've never played an RPG before, that you pick this one up. It's definitly worth it.

KINGDOM HEART ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait a min I have alot thing to say Seprotith was so hard to beat I am on level 56 and the computer said you have to beat him at over level 80 well I have a long way to go. The pooh part is what I hate so badly it is so boring and I heard that there was a Keyhole in the Pooh Book and he whale part will someone email me at sizzingstyleboy< remove me > at hotmail.com and tell me where is it Pease! I am looking everywhere. Well the last boss was extremly easy!!!!!! was so smart at it I was like oh I know I was speeding arond them and summon a spell Stoprag and somehting and I was so so so ood at it and the end of the kingdom heart movie was so awesome with the graffic.

KH is the best, best, best Disney game there is. It mixes both Disney and Squaresoft together, to make a kick ass game. KH has a great deal of graphics, sound, and gameplay. It's a Final Fantasy sequel, with Disney characters and worlds. If you like Final Fantasy, and would think that Kingdom Hearts is nothing like it. YOU'RE WRONG. KH lets you choose from a number of killer weapons. It also goes with the whole healing stuff, like Potions and Hi-Potions. You can even summon Disney characters like Simba, Dumbo, Tinker Bell and 3 others. Each with its own attack, such as Simba can claw up Heartless, Dumbo can shoot water at Heartless, Bambi can drop items while in batle, and Tinker Bell can help you from being KO'd. But the best thing about Kingdom Hearts, is visiting new and remembering worlds. Like Halloween Town, Wonderland, Neverland and much more. And, characters can aid you around worlds like Beast, Peter Pan, Jack, Tarzan and more. You can even visit 100 Acre Wood! So finsh up this review, get enough money, go to a video game store, buy it, and play it. It's the best game for PS2, and wait for Kingdom Hearts II!

I saw the comertails every now and again and just thought the same thing, half the time changing the channel to get away from all the Disneyness. I just decided to actaully sit through the whole thing one day. The song was what really brought it to my attention. I mean it was an AWESOME song. My cousin ends up buying the game. So then I have to cheack it out, and take a look at this "Kingdome Hearts". I sat there for 3 hours watching my cousin play it, I am completely interested. The graphics were the best I had ever seen. The music and sound effects were awesome! I get the game and play it non-stop. The whole game was mezmerizing. I couldn't even put the controler down! Personaly, my favorite world was Neverland because you get to learn how to fly. You would expect something like that look nothing close to real but it took me by surprise how real it looked. Now that I look at it, the whole concept that, that was a Disney game (not forgeting square) made it 10 times better. If it didn't have Disney than what would be special about it? Anyway, I would rate Kingdome Hearts a definate 10. I can't wait until KH2!!!

ok at the begining of the game you have to get every thing for the raft then you can ask people to fight with you.
after that sora and riku sink in the darkness.
then you end up in travese town were donald and goofy show up.
and sora gets the key blade and donald and goofy are looking for leon. who is leon? he is a young swords men who own the gun blade.
after that i went to the second distric. and a guy got hes heart tooken away after that. go to the item shop were cid is.who is cid is a old grump he sells gummi blocks and insalls them
in your gummi ship. what is the gummi ship its a ship that takes you to diffrent worlds.
and after that get out of the store then you meat leon. you have to fight him but dont worrie leon is good. after that that you go to leon ane genja yuths house. who is genja youth a bright hearted young girl with a heart of light.thhen after that you have to fight the first boss. in traves town after that you meat donald and goofy you learn a spell called fire and a ablity call dogroll then leon yuffie reward you with 100 gold and sora set off to find all key holes
