even like video games that much so thats sayin something. I literally couldn,t put the controller down. when i wasnt playing the game i was reading the stadegy guide. Even though i still didnt beat the game yet(im at riku II at Hollow Bation) i love it. the graphics are excellent.its like watching a movie.the songs(simple and clean) are very catchy too.and i just love sora and kairi. i just used up all my ink getting pictures of them.Its not really like final fantasy though.i only played final fantasy x2 but theres a major differance in the 2 games even though they are from the same company. the graphics are better,you actually feel like your in the game and you build your own"transportation veichle"(aka gummi ship)ME and my friends are the only ones who havent beat it yet and we're also completely obsessed. If you havent played the game yet you have to. its totally worth the 49.99(highest price when first came out) Trust me when i say this. you'll abslutely love it. dont beieve the other reviews that say this game stinks. it ROXX!

| It Frickin Rocks Man! | | Scotty-piper! from Lancaster (CA)...USA! says (27/May/2003): | its so much fun...i can't see y n-e one wouldn't wanna play it. u get hooked and thats in a good way. u don't get bored and yeah! u might get frustrated at first but just get used to it -k-? enjoy it while u can. take as long as u want on it no matter what n-e one says around u. ^.^! the graphics r kewl...they're better than n-e other game i've played and i've played a LOT of video games in my day...no im not a 40 yr old man whos single...im 17 ok? from the first time i saw it on tv i wanted to play it. it looked so awesome and now i've had it for 3 months and im still playin it and usually i go through games like that ~snaps fingers~. but i haven't had the time to do and i've only just picked up like 2 days ago (5-25-03)todays the 27th. so...yeah and the characters rock...especially halloween town. i like the boogie boys. they rock and so does jack and zero. sometimes sally, but not always as u can tell...but thats just me...so live w/ it -k-! hades is kewl too...so just have fun with it while ur young and don't end up being an old, fat 45 yr old man/woman whos single and all they do is paly games and eat, cuz thats just wrong. u gotta have a life outside of just video games. | Classic again 4 square | | A gamer says (29/Jan/2003): | Like everyone else who did a review i have to say this is an unbeatable game in story, character, gameplay, sound and visual. It even has a moderatly high replay value. I dont think a game plot has been this good(that ive played) sinse either ff9 or ff7. THe game has all ur favorite disney characters(unless u liked jungle book) and then adds the great final fantasy favorites: squall, cloud, Yuffie, Aeris(aerith), cid, and even sephiroth. THe lands r beautiful and us great color. There are many great techniques that make slashing through endless hords of the HEartless even more fun. And the difficulty is just right too. The only problems are 1) a little sappy 2) They gave finalfantasy charactes voices, a real tragedy( especially sephiroth done my lance bass). 3) sephiroth was too damn hard 4) The ending isnt really fullfilling usless u watch the whole credits(ive done it twice) and of coarse on the net they make a big deal out off the hidden movie u get my completing sum quests, its not much else. U dont know what happins, but the graphics are nice anyway. It sound like im bitchin a lot so im gonna close by saying, BUY THIS GAME SQUARE HAS MADE ANOTHER CLASSIC. Stay sick peace

My favorite world is Halloween Town,because Sora looked sooo cool dressed in his costume & Jack Skellington was awsome to hang around with,& fighting OOgie Boogie was darn cool. I think Riku was sooo hot and I love his pretty blue-green eyes,he was hard to beat in Hollow Bastion,but the fight was out of this world.

| Easy. So good it's scary. | | Leanne from Suffolk says (2/Sep/2003): | The game rocks! It's very origional, very diferent from all the other sqauresoft games and definatly the best! It has romance, comedy and adventure! The gameplay is awsome. The battle mode is so unique, way better than squaresofts usual one. The characters are a great mix, including new ones and old favourites from disney films and squaresoft games, including donald duck, beast, maleficent, squall, and (in kid form) wakka, tidus and selphie! The new characters were all very diferent ranging from the nieve yet brave sora to his strong, curious friend riku, and from girly, pathetic kairi to the dark and mysteious ansem. There are many worlds (mostly from disney) which are all different from the bright and weird wonderland to the challenging, amazing Hollow bastion. The music was so great, it is just so amazing (the only game music I've liked). It includes Utada Hikaru's brilliant song, simple and clean which was brilliant for the ending movie. It's a very fun game which has great mini games and sub quests. Definatly one you'll want to play over and over again. The in game graphics were very disappointing (losing the only point) but the movie ones were excellent!!! I pray for kingdom hearts 2 to come...

| Its decent | | came064 from Frisco, Texas says (24/Oct/2002): | Im a Final Fantasy buff,I have played all of them from the first one...the only reason I bought KINGDOME OF HEARTS is because for ONE it had the FF characters in it and for two SQUARESOFT made the game and in my opinion as far as graphics nobody can beat SQUARE...BUT...here are the downs of the game...I dont like Walt Disney characters they are GAY...I would have rather played through with Aeris and Squall like in the old days on FFVII, I could have tolerated the Disney characters if I didnt have to play with them and they were just cameo appearances instead...but nothing is perfect...heck I would have been happy also if I could just switch out and use Aeris and the others from FF...Donald makes me want to take a valium he gets on my nerves so much...but I guess SQUARE had to do some of what Disney wanted but you could still tell who the boss was in making the game and thats SQUARE SOFT...also the game is too short and I dont like the LEGEND OF ZELDA 64 BIT CAMERA VIEW...but all in all its an okay game but I probably will not play it over and over again like I do the FINAL FANTASY GAMES, as a matter of fact once I beat it which I havent had time to do yet I will never play it again...LATTA
| Sweet.......... | | Ally Z from N.S.W Australia says (22/Nov/2003): | I have just two words for you kick a$$ i rented this game and thought it was so good that i bought it and could't stop playing it untill i had finished it.I recomended it to my friend and she suddenly fell in love with sora now she wont shut up about it and she sent me out to try and finish it so she can see sora kick heartless butt.you should have seen her face when she saw Sora stabb him self with the key blade Riku had she was prakticly crying and by the end of the game i was too. im telling you the graphics and the sound are that good that it make you feel like your there just ask my cousin Jacob he was trying to look up kiaris skirt the whole time and we had to keep reminding him that it was the tv.by the time i had finished the game i had practicly been on every web site with kindom hearts on it so if you need some sites just ask me. i love the theam song simple and clean and searched the net night and day to find it untill i found it. the voice cast is great i couldn't think of anyone better to play Sora then Hayley joel Osment and Riku totaly suits David Gallahagers voice the only fault in that department is Sephiroths voice.i recon this game is great and you should realy try it.

The game has really great graphics and the gameplay links as closely as possible to the theme of the story. I would definately recommend this game to other gamers who like a good problemsolving game that would have you screaming for more. I also found interesting how the creater brought both Disney and Final Fantasy Characters together into one eyepopping game. That was really neat. I'm looking foward to seeing at least three more Kingsom Hearts in the future. I can't wait until Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out. If you go searching on the web for information about the story content, you will definately get great results. It's like the Grand Theft of kids games, so to speak. Although I wish it was more open ended meaning that after you beat it it's over. Oh well I guess I spoiled with games like Grand Theft and Rachet and Clank . But anyway I just finally got to the end of Kingdom Hearts, after a breif hietis, it took me 75 hours to completly finish. Witch isn't so bad I since it took me over 95 to finish San Andreas, with 100% compleated. But anyway I started Kingdom last summer and I guess I didn't realize how much time I spent out doors last summer because I put it in and and was shocked to find out that I'd only had 70 hours in it . I then spent the next five hours deturmed to finish it when I finally saw the last still that says THE END I was so exicted I took a picture of the screen. well anyway this was more to brag then to review . I thought this game was well worth the 15 bucks I paid for and will gladly fork out 50 for Kingdom Hearts 2 when it comes out. Well anyway I got to run but Finally I gotta say I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! One more time and I love this website. THANKS for all the fun!!!!!!And help at times.

I have beaten every requierd boss and on my first try! I have beaten the game many many times! I have even memorised everything everyone says in kingdom hearts! I am also a huge fan of disney movies. I have gotten from Destiney Island to Hollow Bastion in less than a day. I am the KING OF KINGDOM HEARTS and I am what you would call the expert! Anyone who does not like kingdom hearts is absolutly mad because kingdom hearts is the best game ever! Just remember I am the #1 Fan of kingdom hearts! I loved the cool graphics! Kingdom hearts is so cool and I canot wait another second for kingdom hearts 2. I have made 2 large posterboards filled with pictuers of kingdom hearts and kingdom hearts 2. At first I thoght the game would be okay but not to good but I was so so so wrong about it because it is the absolut best game in the whole wide world! whoever thought up this game is a total gienies! And if I could I would give kingdom hearts a one thousand star rating but to bad because, as you know I can only do ten or less. When ever someone asks me to beat something I can. You get lost in a lot of areas of the game with the different world and all, but somehow, the creators explained everything SOMEWHERE in the game. There were a lot of secrets including, my favorite, the 100 missing Dalmations. It took forever to get that secret and in the end it payed off by getting the Ultimate Gummi Colletcion! The characters are funny, strong, and not boring (most of the time). However, it did get annoying using different Disney characters in the party. I just kept the original three always. The bosses are challenging, almost all of them are. the hardest boss would have to have been Chernabog (nothing against Sephiroth for he was a hella boss, but I had him defeated the second time I challenged him). Chernabog has that damn fire attack that almost killed me everytime! Overall, I give Kingdom Hearts a 10\10. It is a Classic RPG and if you are a true gamer, you will try this sooner or later and love it.

#1 I know a lot of u don't like the ending very much cause it keeps u hangin.But they have to do that to interest ppl to buy the next one.I know,i didn't like the fact that Riku Couldn't go w/ Sora but hey < remove me > at least it gives me somethin ta look forward to in the next one.
#2 And no Kingdom Hearts is not just a game for little kids.Its accually fairly challenging.Its not all about pressing the X button either.
#3 Yeah i know that the whole Gummi Ship thing waz pretty pathetic so i'm not gonna lie about that one.But ya have ta admit the graphics & story line was awesome!
But when i saw the comercials for it i just knew it wasn't some kiddish game.It looked like an awesome game of anime w/ a mixture of Disney & thats exactly what it is undescribably awesome!But u know whats funny,when i beat the game i didn't have all the dolmations so i didn't get the SECRET ENDING,yeah it really sucks cause now i have ta beat it again!But its all good cause i'm leveling up to about 90 if i can so it should be a breeze cause i'm already good(not ta brag or n e thing)

I figured okay you run around with disney characters and beat a few easy bad guys. I also questioned how they could join final fantasy characters and disney, rather seperate stories and character outlines. But I was astounded by how well they meshed the many worlds. But thats not even the most astonishing part of the game, the graphics... you wont believe until it you've seen them for yourself, they are amazing. The bad guys are pretty hard too. In most final fantasy games or any game of that kind the bad guys are moderatly hard to beat. These ones look easy but you have to either have a high adrenline rush or a guide to beat them, I had pure, high adrenliine for my Aansem. The bad guys also never seem to end. It took me forever to beat Ansem's 3rd form. When I did I thought that was it, the end, but no they had a surprise for you, 9! 9 different forms! the bad guys kick butt! The story is also so good that I dreamed about it when I went to sleep. It keeps you wanting to play so that you can find out what happens next. The ending also leaves you hanging. They had better make a sequal. Over all this is a good game.

it's made for people who like it so why should it bother you that aerith is in Traverse town
and also the voice actors are brilliant, Sean Astin, Mandy Moore, Lance Bass and Haley joel Osmand!!!Who could askfor more? and why would you, can't wait for the sequal!!!

The best character is probably Riku and i wish him and Kairi were playable, not Donald and Goofy playable but Sora playable!!! There was one thing i didn't like, i'd prefer if you could take other characters out of their worlds, who cares about Ariel not being able to move, stick some legs on her with Donalds magic for christs' sake!!! She did on the actual film
Jack skellington was amazing too so why couldn't he leave, but atleast they were in the party, even if just for a short time!!!Kingdom hearts brings a smile to just about everyones' face and everyone likes Winnie the Pooh, the mini- games were fantastic!!!
Overall this games was fantasticoooo!!!

The people at Square and Disney have created the ultimate game of all time. Squaresoft has created some of the best games of all time like Final Fantasy VII (the best PSone game ever). All the final fantasies were great games but Kingdom Hearts is the best. I give credit to Square and Disney for creating such a wonderful game. The graphics were breathtaking. The best thing about KH is seeing Cloud, Sephiroth, Squall, Aeris and other final fantasy characters make cameo appearances. Cloud was awesome with his buster sword and cape. And Sephiroth with is black angel wing was cooler than ever. Kingdom Hearts is and always will be the best game ever. Hopefully until Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out. can't wait. KH2 is going to be so cool. The special preview you could unlock in the first one is proof. Sora looks cool in his black outfit. And the mysterious guys in cloaks. One which was in the special preview in KH. And Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories for game boy looks pretty cool. I also like the ultima weapon in KH, it's the best weapon in the game and it looks really cool also.

| PURELY SQUARESOFT STANDERD INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! | | A gamer from Paris france says (15/Jun/2003): | When i first looked at this game, i thought it would be like for 5 year olds.then i played! The graphics are brilliant ( with only final fantasy X's being better), the mystical plot and phrases such as " no matter how deep the darkness, a light allways shines from within" will keep you captivated for hours. The many mini-games and side quests make the game impressively fun tp play, the story line and ending are nothing short of INCREDIBLE. I need to tell the people who are like me and think this game looks babyish at first with all the disney characters in it, WELL ITS NOT!. I think that you MUST play this game, espacially if you are a final fantasy fan, as you will meet many famous characters such as Aerith, squall, Cloud, Tidus ect. As for life span lol, just see how long it takes you to beet the hardest boss, wich is not the final one ( this is a common thing in fianl fantasy games, like the dark aeons in ff10, Gaya in ff9 and the ruby and emeerald in ff7). Sephiroth is so hard not even the most hardcore players can defeat him. Summed up this game has only strong points and no weak ones, it will satisfy all age groups and will keep you playing for ages.

There was alot of talk if Diseney could make a good RPG. Well when you play this game all talk will be put to a rest. This game is not only one of the greats RPG of my time it a great game all arould. Were could you start with a game like this maybe on the mind blowing graphics. The look on the characters face are enough to have to have this game. The sounds and music are also great point the music is all done out well and it shows in this game. The fun factor is off the scale I mean you could play this game for hour and you would not move. The value is unthouable i would pay any price for this work of art. Not only is the lifespan of this game longer then your it originality could almost make you cry. This is fun for all ages it easy for kids to pick up on but fun enough for a adult to have to play. The voice of the character are outstanding and it's great to here cound from FF7 voice. The RPG level on this game are enough to make you cry and the game play is one of the greatist out there if you dont own this game do so soon for this will teach what a game must be. THANK YOU.

PROs..
*I like the Controls of it, using the entire controller they make good use of whats available.
*Open Access with little mistake. You can walk/swim/fly anywhere. and you never go thru a wall
*A1. Goofy and Donald rarely get in the way, and they fight! Exception: regulating their potions.
*The end fight. The final boss fight is greater than 2 minutes.
*Cut-scenes.. I found many, maybe the FMV format of gameplay throws you off?
*Bonus stuff. Optional Bosses, Pooh, Dalmations, Synthing. nuff said.
*Story Line. thumbsup. Not totally in depth, but I liked it.
CON'S
*Beginning choices. More distinction between choices.
*Fighting. X-X-X-X-X. throw in some keyable combo's that would have been cool.
*Merlin's practice chamber. Good Idea, could have been more. It lacked point.
*Gummi Blocks. Cool, but complicated, Fun to make, not neccessary.
For what it was, (the first in a series, introducing a new generation into the art of RPG) it was really good. I bet the sequals will be better!
