i want a better jetback |
| obi wan DENOBI from Oxnard, california USA says (11/Dec/2005): |
this game is ok but in the movies jango gets a jet pack with a lot of fuel, not this rinky dinky 6 second lasting blow torch. The graphics are pretty good in the begining when you see jango put on his gear, but in the middle of the game with him in the canyons the small things that come after him look like dogs that haven't had a shower in years(or ever), not like real starwars creatures if you ask me. The game could also use better cheats, because nobody cares about concept art, you see it all in the game(exept the comices)

The brill game that rocks |
| The Chosen One from Hong Kong, China says (25/Oct/2004): |
This game is great, The graphics are stunning, the sound is increadible, and the caharcters are so real. The best thing is you are jango fett! The best bounty hunter that ever lived. My only tiny, tiny problem about the game is that your jetpack isn't good, it runs out of fuel way to quickly and in moon of the dead i can't jet up through the hole just before Montross atfer the crypt thingy. if you know how to do this please post it on this site and explain it, Thanks! And i am only writning this bit because my review needs o be over 1000 words

Yoda says game is fantastic he does |
| A gamer from calafornia usa says (27/Aug/2004): |
this game is the best the graphics are beter than any other game i own the sound is class. this game is very challenging i couldnt find a single good cheat like infinate ammo or invincible jango they are all level select cheats and i dont want to miss a thing. i hope they bring out bounty hunter 2 were you can play as boba fett. but i think it is a bit unrealistic that the bountys are just wandering around and they could make it a bit harder to claim them. so over all i say this game rocks the universe.

This Game RULES!!! |
| Sean from Coral Springs, Florida, USA says (30/Dec/2003): |
Star Wars Bounty Hunter is the greatest Star Wars game yet. I have played all of the other ones and none can compare to this! Jangos weapon variety is amazing! From the flame-thrower to the cluster missles, Jango cannot be beaten! (except by those darn respawning security gaurds in the 2nd chapter) This game really needs an invinsibility cheat, because it is very hard, even on easy mode. I think that tracking down the secondary bounties is the most fun and interesting part of the game because you never know who has a price on their head! Roz is cool too.

Pretty Tight Star Wars Game |
| Grant from Oak Hill, VA, United States of America says (10/Oct/2003): |
This game is different from the rest of the star wars games but it is in a good way. This game is very challenging to make up for its linear levels. I still haven't beaten it without cheating because those freakin bando gora guys freak me out when they pop out of no where. They could have at least made the last chapter a little less freaky for crying out loud. Could have used a few more codes and should have been more levels plus like a few bonus levels that take place in episode 2 like Jango fighting Obi-wan. Hope they make a bounty hunter two and a game where you can play Boba Fett. Also hope if they make another game you get to fly Slave 1.

If you like Blasting things all the time... |
| Matt from Arizona, USA says (9/Sep/2003): |
I personally find this game a tad boring. All you do is run around and shoot things up. But, you're a bounty hunter and I suppose thats what you do. However, I feel that they should've added more concepts to bounty hunting than what they did. For example. If you were Jango Fet, looking for a mark...sorry, thats Assassin Lingo....looking for a Bounty I highly doubt you'll just willy nilly run across them on the streets. There is a lot of investigation, stealth, and conning that thi job requires. But, like most Star Wars things it lacks in a true sense of reality. In my opinion, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter seems to be made soley for the low IQ types or children under the age of five.
The graphics are great as is the sound, although, maybe some modern day rock music may enhance the overall gamming experience. The fact that Jango has the option of collecting Secondary Bounties gives the game enough jazz to overlook the mind-numbing blaster action. Games like Tom Clancey's Splinter Cell, Tenchu; Stealth Assassins, and the like outshine Star Wars: Bounty Hunter by far.
On another niote entirely I, and I think others can agree, Jango Fett is possibly the coolest futuristic "bad guy" in the multiverse! Well, next to Darth Vader of course. I was dissappointed by both the game as well as the newer Star Wars movies as that they did not fully develope this character. He is a tough Mandalorian who is a wizard with blaster pistols. He is the toughest bounty hunter ever and what, halfway through Episode two he gets beheaded by Samuel Jackson!!! But I made a mistake, that wasn't Jango that was Fango...no, Dango...oh well, you get my point.
Finally I find the lack of exciting cheats discouraging. If I'm going to spend a large sum of money to buy a game, and when you're like the rest of the working class $20-$40 for a game is a large sum, I want there to be tremendous amounts of replay value. So I can punch in a few codes to unlock certain missions and chapters...Whoo-Pee! Yes, I mean that sarcastically. After about the hundrenth time playing all these levels I would want to put a blaster to my PS2! No, I want to see invincibility, a code to play as other characters, heck, I'd spend $40 alone just to be able to play that little female Toydarian, uh, Rosetta. Can you imagine? Running around shooting everything as her?! I don't care about unlocking art, I want to post it on my walls, not have to access a whole bunch of codes just to view it on the television! Lets have codes to unlock unlimited fuel for your jetpack/flamethrower, how about some extra weapons, how about "Play as an Ewok"? Who knows, something to add more spice in order to motivate us to WANT to spend hours at end playing it again and again.
Overall, I like the graphics, sound, concept, and in-depth story/plot. I dislike available cheats, lack of character development, the fact that the camera doesn't automatically center itself (I found after doing a complex series of jumps, rolls, and dodges I lost sight of my enemies easily), and the overall banality of the game. I give it a 6. Fun for a little, not really worth buying in my opinion, not sure if I even agree about its worth to rent unless its really cheap or free. Maybe I'll write Lucas Arts and see what they can do about all this, maybe we'll see a game/movie in the future that regards playing Yoda from a little...whatever he is...to the Jedi master/god that he became. Wierd Al Yankovitch's song "Yoda" plays through my mind.

Great game,awesome graphics! |
| Max Serrato from Orange,CA USA says (19/Aug/2003): |
Star Wars Bounty Hunter is the best Star Wars game yet!Jango has the coolest weapons.I give this game a 10 because it's challenging and fun.Although,I still can't beat the Kryte Dragon.
It would be cool if there was a cheat to play as Zam.
|
It needs a Invincability cheat! |
| Darth_Jedi from Oshkosh,USA says (5/Aug/2003): |
It really needs a invincability cheat because on chapter 2 its just way to hard! But all the cheats i could find were level select cheats, and i dont want to miss a thing! I hope that sometime they will come out with a infinate health cheat sometime soon. Could you amagine what it would be like on hard!!

Write a review..I will...YEEESSSSS!: Master Yoda |
| Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (25/Jul/2003): |
SW: Bounty Hunter is pretty lame. The levels r long and hard and stupid. All u do is run around with one laser gun and jetpack, and try 2 save the Republic from some other freaky aliens. I mean, Jango Feet from Star Wars II was the coolest bad guy next 2 Vader. But this?! U try and SAVE the Republic? Since when did Feet Bcome "good" The graphics r OK, and sound is fine, and your lifespan is pretty low. Overall, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is not a very good game.

The best Starwars Game ever made |
| A gamer from Richmond Indiana Usa says (22/Jul/2003): |
This game rocks. It is also super difficult to beat. i am stuck on chapter 4!!!! But I used a cheat to unlock all levels. It is harsh when Komari Vosa (the final boss) kills you,she chops your head off!!!! Jango has the coolest array of weapons ever from 2 blasters to toxic darts. it is real kool how you can hunt secondary bounties. Montross is fun to fight espeshily the 2nd time you fight he is on a speeder shooting rockets at you. and the outtakkes are funny. but there are some glitches like in chapter 2 at the end of level two when the alien (Meeko) says stop[ that bounty hunter i am goin to my ship, one day he said that but he was a speeder!!! and in the moon of the dead at the begining Roz says somthing about how she is dead, later in the level she is talking to you over the intercom thingie. you also get rankings such as thug, bold assasin, and ruthless killer, but it is wierd sometimes i am ruthlees killer and other times i am bold assasin. the levels are hard like tusken canyon the tuskens are strong so are the massifs (the dog things) the tuskens sniper rifels are super strong, and some tuskens do have bounties on their heads most of them are worth more dead but if you get them alive they will be krayt dragon food ( gardulla the huts krayt dragon that is)

Kickz |
| Heretick from Daytona Beach, FL, USA says (18/Jul/2003): |
This is such a great game. Not something easily beaten. These guys who say it sucks are just too afraid to try a real challenging game. The graphics are phenomenal as well, everything is so well detailed. It is clearly obvious that whoever made this game did not do it in 2 days. It had to have taken much longer.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter |
| A gamer from USA says (12/Jul/2003): |
This game is a game that you will get stuck on, a easy part in the game could be the hardest, unlike Star Wars knights of the old republic you do not have a choice of which character you want to bounty or how you get someone (through a vent or main hallway) and nothing is destructable.

Awesome Game |
| Ryan from dekalb, illinois says (26/Jun/2003): |
Bounty Hunter rocks!!! Not one of those games that can be beaten in two days, but a game that can keep one occupied for months on end. My favorite pastime in this game is ropping up the men on the various sail barges and watching as they scream hopelessly as they tumble into the sarlaac after i push them in.

If this game was any better it would be illegal |
| You can run but u cant hide from Maitland,Florida says (15/Jun/2003): |
Ya kno i've heard a bunch dumb stupid people say this game sux. but have to disagree cuz it roccs. The only things thats a real blowout is that ya jetback runs out feul to fast.I'm so close to beating it though. The only levels i cant beat are Moon of the dead people and Canyon of sand dudes. If u can beat either of them write about on the reviews or if you really want to help me go to supercheats.com write it for me in the hints and cheats colum. other than that this game rox cuz of all the neatosupremeo levels u are 'required' to play. all of the sweet guns n weapons u get So goodbye FEAR THE MANDOLORIAN WAY <>-:<

I Garrett Carter solemnly swear that . . . |
| Garrett James Carter from Klickitat, USA says (1/Jun/2003): |
THIS IS THE BEST GAME. The graphics are so detailed you can see every last paint chip if you look close enough. The only problem is that I am not exactly the best player. But I am sure that all of you who are natural-game-players (N.G.P.) will beat the game so fast you wont even know what happened. With the assist of the entire arsenal of the real Jango Fett in episode2: the jetpack, the flamethrower, the laser, the spinneretts, and the Heat seeking missile. You will be virtually invincable and unstopable!! And as for all you unnatural-game-players (U.N.G.P.) like myself, you can have some fun just playin' around like in the first mission killing stuff, and unfortunatly if you happen to kill everything, you can restart the mission, or kill those wierd looking lizard-like creatures that happen to pop up every once in a while. Well, that is only a breif review of all of the awsome things about Bounty hunter. So thats all folks.

THIS GAME ROCKS |
| Jason from Indiana Forte Wayne Usa says (30/May/2003): |
This game is the tightest ever. I love this game. I rented it once and I fell in love with it right away. The only bad thing about it is is that none of the cheat codes have anything like unlimitted amoe on the sniper rifle. This game rocks. I think that anyone who like tight action packed levels should buy this game.

Eli Weeks from San Diego California |
| Eli Weeks from San Diego, California says (14/May/2003): |
The best PS2 game I've ever played! By far the best Star Wars game. The weapons Jango uses are awesome. The sniper can shoot practically a mile away, and the way the ID Scanner looksI hope they keep on making these type of Star Wars games. Keep up the great work!

JUST A HOLE WITH TEETH |
| Rancor Killer the 2nd from Tatooine says (4/May/2003): |
This is a update from my old review on bounty hunter, sum of u may have read my review writen by Rancor Killer(hope u enjoyed it). Neway, now i have long completed Bounty Hunter and finished off the evil bando gora and their leader. My excitement of meeting the sarlacc wuz a bit dissapointing, cuz really its just a hole with teeth(heehee..) But apart from that i have happily completed the game over and over and have always found sumthing new along da way. My curiousity of how jango was 2 beat the derranged evil jedi wuz cut short when i triumphantly defeated her in violent combat. i also enjoyed fighting montross through the game, (violent git).
Still this game is goin 2 hav 2 stay a certain 2 thumbs up for all those who have not bought it yet.
