I have had the game for around 2 months now i've had the online adaptor for as long as i have had the game and i have to tell you it is probaby one the best games i have ever played. Single player mode is not as exiting as online mode but it is still great. I have completed it on ensign and am halfway through Lt.Junior Grade. The graphics are some of the best i have ever seen in my lifetime. Online is even better because you are playing against human intelligence which makes it amazing to play, the only problem with the online mode is the fact that a few pepole out there have to spoil it for the rest of us through cheating and gliching. Other than this the online mode gets a 100% approval from me because it is awsome. I found a few problems that i think in single player mode like Enemy AI and maybe The AI of Boomer because i belive that anyone dumb enough to walk infront of me while i am shootin at the enemy deserves to die.
In the end though i think this game is Totaly amazing and I hope socom II will be even better!!!!!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share my opinion and a few username codes that everyone can try to use when creating an online persona. This game is the bomb. I've played others and always seem to come back to SOCOM 2 for the shear variety and challenge of not taking one in the back and cappin' every body that walks (or runs) into my field of fire.
The codes are NOT cheats, but allow you to change your text in the online menus. It will make your username a specific color and all text from you will be that color too. Where you select your player name. Select an empty playername slot (of the avail. three per mem card). Type in the following exactly as I've listed them for the desire color (with possible variations on spaces). Finish logging in to see the result.
#Cs = Red (#C~! and #C~% are Red too)
#CZ L= Purple (#C? L is Purple too)
#C~~= Gold (#Cae {ae is the merged alternative lettering})
#C! ~= Blue (#C00a {zero,zero,a w/ 2 dots above it} will show a "select" box in front of the username which is also blue -> Cool)
#C'v= Green (#C#~ is Green too)
#C~[]= Light Pink
#C{:}= Pinkish/Purple (may be same as purple above)

this is the best game ever the graphics are the best i ever seen its also very hard . not at first but later in the game .its fun in multiplayer mode you gt to be on a 16 man team its so cool.i got the game when it first came out and it is still the best game out. thats why i alrady have a reserve on the 2nd one.

WOW. SOCOM is the best, next to Medal of Honor. I have a really fun time playing SOCOM. I like to run around ships and snowy mountains, while taking out anyone I see. And I really like having the headset control, and have my team ambush, and hold fire. I got to finish a whole level, just standing there, and my team got everything done. The graphics are SO awsome. And the sound is fun and pulse-pounding. And I also can't wait for SOCOM II. But some bad things about SOCOM is. Well. Sometimes, when I give a job, they just stand there. Like one time, I was under heavy-attack, and I called Bravo and the rest, but they just stood there! And the ememies are kind-of stupid. Hey, would you know if there was a SEAL, standing in front of you, with a Machine gun pointed at you? Overall SOCOM is one cool game, and I can't wait for SOCOM II.

Well first of all I'd like to say that this game was really well done. Yes there are some things that people complain about but most of the nusciances are pretty trivial. When this game was made it was made with the frame of mind that the player would appreaciate the SEALs and realize how hard it is to do what they do, and have a great time while they're at it! Let me start by listing the bad things, wich there aren't many of.
-Boomer can be stupid. this is a problem that I have heard poeple constantly address.BUT, if you play the game as if you were reallay there, as if you were THE navy seal , then boomer will really come through for you. Seal missions aren't done in 15 minutes sometimes they'll take days, I'm not saying that one mission should take you days, but i usually would finish my missions within an hour and a half. If you take your time and play realisticly, then boomer won't be a problem!
-No save point. Well boo hoo! :( I mean c'mon the people who made this game were really trying to create somthing realistic here, and they did , and i think that some people can't handle it. PATIENCE IS THE NAME OF THE GAME!!!! Take your time and you'll have A's on all your missions.
And you won't need to save because you won't get shot
- The crosshairs are too hard to move. NOT REALLY! you have to get used to it. Like in real lilfe, you breathe, and this affects your aim. Practice and you'll get it down. Being a sniper is not an easy thing! It took me a while, but now I can camly and quickly pick enemies off with ease. Again PATIENCE is the key.
As for that , you can conclude that most of the problems that people are talking about are really their lack of patience and will. this is not a first person shooter kill all free for all game. It mimics real life war fare, wich is probly 100 times harder than the game.I'm not trying to bash any body here or say that I'm a better player, it's just that I found the game to be very realistic and I think that some people are to used to this fantasy game world where you can get "HEALTHS" and magically heal your bullet wounds. This game is not for those people!
The only complain that I would have is that I can only be Kahuna , but other than that it's GREAT!
-Graphics are great!!! The game is awesome when it comes to graphics! The shadows, the foot prints the details on the guns and so much more, i don't know where to start. Defenitley a great turnout on that one!
-Headset is awsome! whoever thought of that is making big $$$ right kinow. I think it's great. Especially since you can give commands to the computer players in single player mode.
Well i could go on and on and on, but i'll stop for now. But all in all let's remember that it's just a game, and what they've done with it so far is great!!!!!

this game is sweet but boomer gets in the way alot in misssion 6 when you blow the door with c4 make suer he is not close to the door i had to restart the game 3 time before he did not get blown up it takes to much time to get to the compound then on some of the missions the seal would never do some of the stuff that this game dose but the moive if kool the head set is real kool its even better if you are a relly seal this game dose not have a of the stuuf that we have for missions but over all is a sweet ace game

This game is the best!The graphics are great. When you hit someone in the leg, they will fall and roll around for a while, slowly get up, and if you shoot them when they are getting up, they flop on to they're back.The sound is good as well. When playing with the headset, if someone calls from HQ or one of your teammembers talks to you, you hear it in the headset.There is some parts where it it gets kinda tough, but second time around you can easily get it. It is definitely worth $60.

Let me start off by saying, this is an awesom game. It seems so real at times, and so annoying how easily the enemies can take you out at times. The AI needs a lot of work. If i don't find them staring at enemies guns just waiting to get shot, not running from exploding grenades (or acually running towards them sometimes), or even shooting me. The team is a bunch dumb< remove me > at $$'s. They need to be able to see more and acually report it, or shoot it themselves. Maybe a few more headset commands, smarter team mates and some more levels would make this game or future games better.

i have the action replay max code cd, and i was wanting more codes for socom, so if any body knows of any codes other than the ones that are listed on it right now, i'd appreciate it if you could tell me. My e_mail adress is wrestlinguy85< remove me > at yahoo.com. because the codes that they have right now don't work for online, and thats waht i was wanting to do, was use them online. or if any body know of a site where i can find more codes, other than codejunkies.com, i'd really appreciate it. cause when i'm plaing online, i see all these people doing cheats, and i don't know of any except for the ladder glitch, but thats not good enough, i want more than that. i know that cheating isn't good, but sometimes it's helpful, and sometimes you just have to cheat to win.oh yeah, by the way, socom is the best game ever, and if you don't have an online connection, your missing out, because it kicks azz. i like the graphics on the game too. but playing online is very difficult, because alot of the guys on there are pretty good. i've been playing socom now for about 3 months, and i still can't seem to get n e better. i'm in a clan right now called tgz, and their pretty good. i don't know how i made it in, but i did. and also if you have socom online, and you need a clan, talk the the clan leaders of TGZ. thats the clan name, we have about 45 people so far, but we could use a few more. to join, you need to get atleast 10 kills just one map, if you can do that yer in, or if you get mvp, that would even be better, cause than that shows that you have what it takes to be in a clan. and if you don't have the socom game, i'd recomend it to n e one, cause to me, it is the best dam game i have ever played.again, if you know of any cheats for the action replay max, please feel free to e-mail me at wrestlinguy85< remove me > at yahoo.com.

was happnin im here to tell you several glitches that i know in crossroads the first one is if are a seal were u start of as soon as u go out of the building were u start of the one right acros go up the stairs up to the the very and at the right jump on the strip of wall and lay down at the very edge use the left analog stig to get u to the very tip slowly and then press right on ure d-pad do not hold it just tap it and u will sucsusfully fall thru tha billding once ur at the bottom u can stand up and walkaraund it is a grate spot to be at if ur the last gy on ure team agenst 5 terarest u can kill them thru there or wait for a draww insted of losing for ur team the second glitch in cossroads is wen u start of dont go right go foword and take a right were u go blow the bridge but insted of going up the stairs as soon as u take that right look at the wall thats on ure right side dive in to the first wall and u will go thru it it is garanted to work my last glitch i can share with u is nija jumping there is 2 ways of doing it with a ps1 remote al u do is shoot three times to were ever u wana jump to and move the right analog stick rigth and left as fas as u coud and tap square at the sme tipe wile moving the analog stick the same thing u do with the ps2 remote the only thing that changes is insted of taping square u al so have to tap triangel with square well those are the glitches i know in crossroads any questins send me a frends invite i ma LT.COMANDER my name is LiL SNOOP hope u do well in the game

SOCOM NAVY SEALS is an awesome game. It's very realistic; it makes me feel like I’m really out there. I got all my friends hooked on it. I'm in the Army so I’ve used some of the commands in the game. Shouting out commands in the headset makes me want to go get CHARLIE. Per my review title; I hate, I hate, I hate BOOMER. He get's in the friggin way sometimes. I wish he had a hold position command. I've actually killed him off, and continued the stage without him. Unless it's a difficult stage, than I use him as my extra life, if he get's shot up, I know to hold and search for enemy sentries. I hope they changed that in SOCOM II. Oh! And the damn POW's, oh my god. They don't listen, and they actually glitch and get stuck in crazy places. I'm sure someone out there feels me on this. BRAVO team is cool with me, they move so stealth like, and take out tango's that I can't see. I like to send them off to cover an area while I come around the back and circle the enemy in. But besides Boomer’s stupidity (and the POW's), I gave this game a “9”. It's definitely on my "A" list, right next to Metal Gear Solid.

I thing that socom 2 is the best game. But the thing that I hate the most is the damm rank up system because i had a rank of 205910 then when i got on later the other night i went up to damm 220000 that pussed me off so much i thing it is because of the rank up system people they found out. Socom should fix that stuff. My Socom name is TIMBERWOLF the Eis the C with the two lanes through it then the O is the O with the line though it. 1098 Killz, 768 Deaths, 454 headshots, 11% hit accurcy but I'm still a Lt. Commander.Then i have a captain name but i used the rank up system but now i never play on that name anymore because it is gay because i want to earn my damm wings now SO DON'T RANK UP ANYMORE PEOPLE BECAUSE WE MUST STOP IT. I'm in a clan named AZz Kickers but i think it is a gay name if anyone need a clan member just sent me a friend invite or just send a clan invites. But if u go on some site it tells up that the rank up system is about a gay system on chess system from germany.

Well ive been playing socom online since the middle of aug about a week after it came out i was online.As a game its ok as a online game its smokin.You play best 6 out of eleven ,which in my mind is the greatest .Through the tunnel on the left 3 games in a row them suckers are dropping like fly`s on crap .I look at my kills i have 10 in 3 rounds woooeeeee i`m gonna be mvp.But wait them little idiots got smart, after dying 3 times in a row they decided to ambush me , 2 get on the temple up above and send a cpl of m67`s my way i go down,scrambling to get on my feet 2 more come out on the sides and i`m toast.After another attempt if i was to go that way i`m the little idiot .But i called for back up we got nailed with claymores but took 2 out with us .dam 4 -3 for us there gaining .We need another plan guys are getting pissed at each other our morale is going down .One dude sayin we gotta pull it together .Next round was a draw .Ok it`s 2 in the morning and i gotta work in 3 hours but were gonna win this one.we won i didn`t get mvp another teamate ps2 freak got like 19 kills.Me i had 14.Its now 4 in the morning.typing this in between deaths .i gotta get to bed but i have 3 more rounds to go maybe .I think i have the flu :)oo meek mackki glock or the tannabaum flu over and out.ACE

This game is unexplainable when it comes to tellin u how real it feels.You actually feel the gunshots,This is a half-to play Game.The head-set of this game is what makes this game so realistic.The graphics are great,and you get to go into every different challenging levels of any weather u can think of.This game is a challenging, new thrilling suprise to all game-players.This game will wipe you off your feet and when u start playin,it feels like u cant get out of the game alive.

This is by far the best game i have ever played!!!! The graphics are superb the weaponry is so awsome the headset is a very valuabe tool if you want to win. Socom US Navy Seals is the most realistic game i have ever played. I love it when you just skim a guy with a bullet, Sploosh! a big explosion of blood squirts out from whereever you shoot the guy. -Try this!: If you have a spare grenade and you spot a guy atop of a high hill/mountain, slowly creep to where you can get the grenade close enough to him so that it sends him flying then quickly pull out a gun and shoot his flying carcass and watch as the blood falls to the ground. Be careful because i've had a few (2-4)guys survive this and then kill me.- As i was saying, the game is very well made with a stratigic plot. Please don't use this against me but after what happened last year in NY i show no mercy for those terrorists. I got a enemy to surrendor as soon as he saw me coming with my men, got him down on the ground and ordered my men to kill him. I like how the headset works all you do is press square and give and comand -extra commands available with certain cheat!- Thats my review and if your just reading these reviews to decide if you want the game or not your wasting your time! Just go out and buy the game! You won't be disappointed, I know i'm not!

Socom is the best game i've ever played! There is a great variety of guns. My favorite gun is the AKs-74. It's a seal sweeper!!! But enough about that, lets get to gameplay. The fighting is intense. The game can be 30seconds (if it's a good murder. Or it can be 10 minutes if there are a lot of campers. Overall this game is the best I've played so far. If you don't have it, you gotta get it!!!

SOCOM Navy SEALs takes a bite out of the cake. There's no game more reaslistic than it out there. Single player is excellent, but one downside. Once you beat Ensign difficulty, the computer AI is ridicously godlike. Example: On level 7, POW Camp, right at the start of the level. There are two men on patrol, coming your way through the path. I hide behind a thick group of grass, and RIGHT when they step out behind the rock they see me and shoot me. Idiotic, as you see. And it seems the more missions you beat, the stupider your Boomer friend gets. I'm serious, too, this guy has no brains. Here's the setting: I'm crouching behind a tree, trying to hide from the enemies approaching, and this moron steps out and gets shot in a heartbeat, thus giving my position away. He's stupid, I usually just kill him at the start of the mission. Now, about multiplayer. I love it. It's so easy to get connected and play against people, and the cooperation is (usually) great. The downsides? 1) twelve year olds. They are idiotic. And their voices hurt my ears. 2) Cheaters. Glitching is highly unaccepted, but usually team mates vote glitchers off so its all good. 3) The worst thing of it all, GETTING DISCONNECTED. Every, say, 20 minutes I get disconnected from a game, kicked off the server, etc.. And it's definetly not my connection, since most of the players I talk to have the same problem as well. If it wasn't for these downsides, the game would have got a 10. Oh well. It still rocks!
