some set backs, but overall, GREAT!!! | | Paul Sipps from Houston, Texas in the good 'ole USA! says (31/Dec/2002): | Well first of all I'd like to say that this game was really well done. Yes there are some things that people complain about but most of the nusciances are pretty trivial. When this game was made it was made with the frame of mind that the player would appreaciate the SEALs and realize how hard it is to do what they do, and have a great time while they're at it! Let me start by listing the bad things, wich there aren't many of.
-Boomer can be stupid. this is a problem that I have heard poeple constantly address.BUT, if you play the game as if you were reallay there, as if you were THE navy seal , then boomer will really come through for you. Seal missions aren't done in 15 minutes sometimes they'll take days, I'm not saying that one mission should take you days, but i usually would finish my missions within an hour and a half. If you take your time and play realisticly, then boomer won't be a problem!
-No save point. Well boo hoo! :( I mean c'mon the people who made this game were really trying to create somthing realistic here, and they did , and i think that some people can't handle it. PATIENCE IS THE NAME OF THE GAME!!!! Take your time and you'll have A's on all your missions.
And you won't need to save because you won't get shot
- The crosshairs are too hard to move. NOT REALLY! you have to get used to it. Like in real lilfe, you breathe, and this affects your aim. Practice and you'll get it down. Being a sniper is not an easy thing! It took me a while, but now I can camly and quickly pick enemies off with ease. Again PATIENCE is the key.
As for that , you can conclude that most of the problems that people are talking about are really their lack of patience and will. this is not a first person shooter kill all free for all game. It mimics real life war fare, wich is probly 100 times harder than the game.I'm not trying to bash any body here or say that I'm a better player, it's just that I found the game to be very realistic and I think that some people are to used to this fantasy game world where you can get "HEALTHS" and magically heal your bullet wounds. This game is not for those people!
The only complain that I would have is that I can only be Kahuna , but other than that it's GREAT!
-Graphics are great!!! The game is awesome when it comes to graphics! The shadows, the foot prints the details on the guns and so much more, i don't know where to start. Defenitley a great turnout on that one!
-Headset is awsome! whoever thought of that is making big $$$ right kinow. I think it's great. Especially since you can give commands to the computer players in single player mode.
Well i could go on and on and on, but i'll stop for now. But all in all let's remember that it's just a game, and what they've done with it so far is great!!!!!
| Above average, but not great... | | Zach from Colorado says (4/Sep/2002): | I bought SOCOM: US Navy Seals the day it came out. I was expecting to be blown away, but was a little disappointed. It almost felt like they released a game that just wasn't ready to be released. Don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible game, it's just not as good as I expected.
LIKES:
- Graphics were pretty good overall.
- 3 or 4 different views: Behind, First Person, Infrared, Binocular or Sniper (depending on the weapon)
- For the most part it's a fun game
DISLIKES (Oh, where do I start???):
- Maybe it's just my game, but I have no way to slowly move my crosshairs, especially during sniper mode. The reticle seems to jump rather than track. This gets particularly frustrating when you're trying to line up a head-shot and your crosshairs move all over the screen rather than the guy's head.
- Sometimes you have the guy's head cleanly lined up, and your shot will miss him completely, or act like a body shot where the bad guy will double over, then get up and continue walking his route.
- The headset they give you is more of a gimmick than a useful tool, unless you're using it to talk to somebody via the internet gameplay. Which brings me to my next dislike...
- In order to play via the internet, you MUST have Broadband or DSL? And I believe you need to buy a Network Adapter before you can plug in?
- Sometimes your enemies will miraculously see you and blast away at you before you ever have a chance to see them. Not that you just overlooked them, but as if they weren't there a second ago when you cleared that area.
- It seems like they spent more time creating the Documentary than they did the game. Don't get me wrong, the Documentary was very informative and fun to watch, but it shouldn't have been better than the game.
Overall, it's not as bad as I make it seem. Once you start playing the game, the dislikes become more of a nusiance than anything else, but they're nuisances that shouldn't have been there. I loved playing Rainbow Six on my PC and thought this would be a great equal for it on the PS2, but in the end it just doesn't measure up.
| Socom U.S. Navy Seal's | | A gamer from Washington says (25/May/2003): | Socom US Navy Seals is a great game, reason being is for one the graphics, when I play games like this I look closley at just about every aspect...the way the seals move, very smooth, the speed of an attack...creeping up on an enemy and slicing his neck and the abilty to drag his dead corpse away into the darkness,as well as the fact that the maps and lighting are perfect, the way an enemy can radio for backup at the slightest sound of you moving covertley around his cabin deep in the congo jungle taking out key personal, or even moving about in the jungle and telling bravo team to hold there position while your-self and boomer take up a place high on a ridge overlooking the guard routs then useing your headset (another great aspect) to comand bravo team to ambush the curent group of guards walking there way then watching them set themselves up in hiding spots and wait for and enemy to come walking along, and watch how they kill them quietley and covertley while you and boomer are sniping any enemy theat might be trying to flank your team and on your flank having already placed claymour mines so that you dont have to wory about being flanked your-self.Its features like this that makes this game great...how often in games do you get to watch enemys through NVG and wait till he passes you by then you run out from your consealed position lay a mine down and progress to the next guard....by the time you have breached the compound people start blowing up...placing c4 explosives at key locals and watching as enemy pass by and get there right sind of there bodys completeley blown into peices or the ability to shoot fragmention rounds in to a sniper tower and know for a fact the that sniper is dead or firing he rounds into buildings and watching the doors blow strait off, these are the things that make my-self and my friends love this game also the other reason I realley love this game is becuase I served six years in the U.S. Navy Seal's, thank you for reading my review. (best military game out there in this vets mind)
| Needs more work | | josh says (21/Jun/2003): | The graphics are good and the guns are sweet and realistic, but the game needed much more work before it hit stores. The AI walk right in front of my shots and get themselves shot. They don't fire at will when i tell them to and they get themselves and me shot. I plant a c4 on a wooden door were you ahve to capture bad dog, and my teammates stay there and dont leave it even if there is c4 right on it. I tell them to regroup and come to me because i am away from door and wont get hurt from explosion. But they dont listen and stand there and get blown up. I tell my teammates to Attack to a certain point like Juliet or something, and they just walk there and if they get shot at, they fall down, get up like nothing happened and keep walking and get themselves killed. Then once i lose all the retarded teammates, i fail the mission and cant continue without them. Many times i will tell them to breach bang and clear, and they throw the grenade or flashbang at the wall instead of in the door and blow me and themselves up. Also they get shot at and stand there like nothing happens and get killed. I HATE the retarded AI in this game. It totally sucks, it is pointless. And that stupid lady telling you what to do all the time. I just want to turn her off or find her and knife attack her. And the sensativity sucks, but just go to options>controller options and turn it way down, then it is easy to snipe and line up fatal shots. The game has great graphics and sweet weapons, but the AI suck, and enemies pop out of nowhere and kill you before you even notice them or can do a thing. Dont buy this game, just wait until the second or third version of SOCOM comes out and read some reviews and see if it is worth buying. I wouldny buy this game, maybe just rent it to see what im talking about or of you like it or not. But it is way hyped up and isnt that good. Many negative points ruin this game.
| ×Devilz Review× | | A gamer from Newburgh, NewYork says (19/Jun/2004): | Well...Socom 2 online is by far the best game ive playd online....its the only game i play for now. Although socom is the best game ((to me))....it has sum problumz...glitchin and rankin up. Those are the major problems.....other minor problemz are team killin....but we can deal wit tht...jus by votin them...which is now instant. Glitchin sux major ass...u may kno where that person is...BUT YOU CANT KILL `EM...it sux! I mean the game is fair in EVERY WAY possible....nd then u got these loserz who jus glitch...its really messez up the game...if u were on the opposin team of the glitcher...nd u were the las one left....you'd b thinkin » Damn..where the hell is this las guy!!?? «...nd ur forced to go for the draw bcuz tht guy is too scared to come out nd face you. To me, glitchin is for loserz....they can shoot you...but u cant shoot them...mane thtz jus f**Kd up! And the shame of it all is that you run into one of these glitcherz atleast everytime u play. Now rank up just ruind the WHOLE game...rank used to matter in the beginin...but now rank is useless....cuz most of ur "captainz" are RANK UP!! (r^)...i mean if you go to E-Seals 4 or suttin lyk tht.....nd look at the player list....go to a captain nd you'll see > Deaths : 3,456 Killz : 2478 Hit % : 10 ....WOW THATZ A CAPTAIN FOR YOU!!....nd the top 10 playaz/clanz are rank up now...so if ur up there...ur most lykly lookd at as [r^]....Literally tho if you go to any E-Seals room...nd scroll down all you'll see will b r^ rooms (R^&^^^^^) roomz lyk tht. The game would b perfekt if you didnt have the problumz tht i jus mentiond abuv...my view of socom is frikin awesome.....its very addictin...i mean im a GIRL nd i play...i'd say im pretti good...my socom name is >> Devilzlilhelpr ...no funni lettaz or symbolz...send me a friendz invite if you wnt...i dont mind...mayb we can 1v1 sumtyme..tTyL ×Devilz×
| By far the best and most accurate military game on the market. | | Adam Romero from Fresno, California, USA says (6/Jan/2003): | First of...I've owned SOCOM since it first came out and no game has had me this wrappend up in it. I often found myslef drifting off into day dream SOCOM land while sitting at my desk at work. I have experiences in military situations as I was the Platoon Sergeant for the the RECON Team at the Marine Military Academy and I had lofty expectations for this game and let me tell you I was not dissapointed. I've heard complaints about being incapacitated by a vertical butt-stroke during game play (i.e. dying from getting hit in the head with a rifle) well...let me hit you in the face with a 10 pound shoulder fired gas operated magazine fed semi-auto/fully auto rifle and you see if you can get up to keep your dumb < remove me > at $$ from getting killed. Sorry it just doesn't work that way. In boot camp during bayonet training one clean shot to the head with a pugil stick is considered a kill-shot, likewise in SOCOM and on the battle field. There are also complaints about the accuracy while in sniper mode. Take a hint, this game is realistic...many factors influence accuracy....such as blood loss, fatigue etc. Sorry to everyone who was raised on a steady diet of hogan's alley, duke nukem, and GTA. This isn't your ordinary video game. I have yet to play SOCOM online but if it is anywhere near as much fun as Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 is online...I can't wait. I know there are a lot of you who complain about the level of intelligence with the AI in the game. Talk to any veteran and he'll tell you...Things don't always turn out the way you want them to in a combat situation...so I'm sorry if boomer doesn't have 100% accuracy everytime..it's just something that you'll have to deal with. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome. Bottom line, if this game was anymore realistic...I'd have bloodstains on my couch and bullet holes in my walls. A must have for any serious gamers.
| i have a question | | Brad from ft collins colorado says (12/Apr/2004): | i have the action replay max code cd, and i was wanting more codes for socom, so if any body knows of any codes other than the ones that are listed on it right now, i'd appreciate it if you could tell me. My e_mail adress is wrestlinguy85< remove me > at yahoo.com. because the codes that they have right now don't work for online, and thats waht i was wanting to do, was use them online. or if any body know of a site where i can find more codes, other than codejunkies.com, i'd really appreciate it. cause when i'm plaing online, i see all these people doing cheats, and i don't know of any except for the ladder glitch, but thats not good enough, i want more than that. i know that cheating isn't good, but sometimes it's helpful, and sometimes you just have to cheat to win.oh yeah, by the way, socom is the best game ever, and if you don't have an online connection, your missing out, because it kicks azz. i like the graphics on the game too. but playing online is very difficult, because alot of the guys on there are pretty good. i've been playing socom now for about 3 months, and i still can't seem to get n e better. i'm in a clan right now called tgz, and their pretty good. i don't know how i made it in, but i did. and also if you have socom online, and you need a clan, talk the the clan leaders of TGZ. thats the clan name, we have about 45 people so far, but we could use a few more. to join, you need to get atleast 10 kills just one map, if you can do that yer in, or if you get mvp, that would even be better, cause than that shows that you have what it takes to be in a clan. and if you don't have the socom game, i'd recomend it to n e one, cause to me, it is the best dam game i have ever played.again, if you know of any cheats for the action replay max, please feel free to e-mail me at wrestlinguy85< remove me > at yahoo.com.
| Lousy AI, glitches make some missions impossible, too expensive | | A gamer from Denver, France says (13/Jul/2003): | I am very disappointed with Socom: US Navy seals. Firstly it's the most expensive PS2 game I've bought, yeah you get an uncomfortable headset but I don't even like using it. When I'm playing a stealthy game I want to get into the right mood; Having to yell commands doesn't help. I would have prefered to have been able to murmur commands. And how come there isn't a command: Get out of my damn way moron, coz I've been in loads of situations where I want to get through a door and I've got to keep banging into a team member to get them to move.
The AI sucks. Boomer is just one lousy liability that ruined countless mission attempts. The other guys at least can be sent away to die, or left at the start but they are no better; I mean these morons can't even guard a closed door. A number of times I've left Bravo facing a door and I've come back to find them dead. Some baddie opened the door and wasted them, what were they doing ? sleeping ?
I've encountered loads of glitches mostly of the kind where some team member gets glued to a wall or ladder. Other glitches include not deploying satchels, having to hand hold them into position and still not deploying satchels.
There is no decent ROE (Rules of engagement). I want to be able to issue commands like stay down until I say so, or do not fire at all.
Some of the most crucial controls are crap. Like having one key to choose stance, how stupid is that ? I mean here I am in a tight spot and I decide to go prone but no! for some reason I can't go prone at this location so bingo I stand up! hello baddies!
This game cannot compare with the worst of what Tim Clancy has done for his PC games. Games like Ghost Recon, Raven Shield, etc. all very similar, but all very slick. And cheaper too.
| Are you just DUMB, or really STUPID? | | Not a Jacka$$ from Maine says (22/Jan/2004): | This is one of the best games going. Though it does have some glitches, and poor teammates AI. Still, by far one of the best PS2 games yet. Now, to all of you tree huggin' terrorist loving, I buy my kids whatever they want with out even looking at it morons..... It's a NAVY SEALS GAME! There are guns. There is shooting. How can you say, oh my, my child was playing and I couldn't believe it?!?!? Do you just rent them porn movies and say oh wow, that's not good. You are grounded for watching that. Be the adult here. You have to be a friggin' moron to not think that a navy seals game is gonna have guns and shooting in it. As far as I am concerned, if you got this for you kid and now you disapprove, it's your own fault for being DUMB, DUMB, DUMB! This is one of the best games going. Though it does have some glitches, and poor teammates AI. Still, by far one of the best PS2 games yet. | This game could easily be better. | | jster22 from Everett, WA. USA. says (11/Feb/2004): | The graphics are superb. The sound is great. The story line is very good. But there are major problems with this game. My men occasionally get stuck in the environment, on many of the missions, and after they are stuck you have to start all over. What is the deal with that? Another problem is that the Seal teams AI is all screwed up. My men are dumber than rocks and insubordinate as hell. I can’t tell you how many times I have given my men commands and they just ignore me or take there sweet time getting around to doing what I commanded them to do and this always gets my men or my self killed. They will also walk right up to an enemy that might be right around a corner and just stand there waiting to be killed. I have had Boomer following me across a compound and there are snipers around and he will just stop in the line of fire like an idiot and not fight back or get out of the way, I give him commands to regroup franticly and he just ignores me and stands there waiting to die. Is Boomer suicidal? I don’t have time in a combat zone to give psychiatric therapy to my men for there suicidal tendencies and if that’s not bad enough. How many times does Boomer have to walk into my line of fire before he realizes that’s not a good idea? It could have been an outstanding game if not for these frustrating problems. I recommend Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. The graphics are not as good but your men are not insubordinate and have way more commonsense, they don’t get stuck in the environment and they follow all your orders with out hesitation. I wonder if they corrected these problems in SOCOM II?
| When is #2 coming out? | | Graham from Unknown says (24/Dec/2002): | Excellent game! If you like shooters, definalty buy! Realistic weapons sounds/graphics..Movement of characters.. If they make another one, I do wish they would put some kind of two player mode in it (Without having to be online) able to link 2 PS2's together or split screen..Heck.. I would get 4 Ps2's if they were able to make linked games for 4 people.. this game really kicks < remove me > at < remove me > at < remove me > at !!! The realism may bug some people (Who just like to mow down everything and collect power ups!) Ok, nothing wrong with that! Heehee!. I like it cause you do have to watch your health like in real life, and your ammo count, even tho I carry more ammo then anyone around anyway.. 40 pounds of just ammo on top of other gear can get heavy, so watch it!! You can pick up the dead guy's weapon if you run dry,so no big deal.. Some parts may seem easy, cause if you aim well, you can charge straight in and mow em down without having to be stealthy, but in other areas, they go the opposite way with pin point enemy AI and blow your head off every time if you dont watch it!! At time of this I am stuck on the ambasador's rescue..second time thru, and the AI seems to have shot thru the roof for smarts!! Finally make it one time to the last door and the < remove me > at *#*< remove me > at empties a full magazine into me!!! Not a game for the easily frustrated!! And even tho the sniper rifles are one shot semi's. they are handy for long range kills...even tho autos are my favorites,,use the right tool for the job, even if it isnt your personel fav.. Better to go up Sh*tcreek with 12 studs, then a hundred Sh*theads____Quote from Unknown Seal commander
| I Agree with jster22 on team AI | | 1-8-35 from Richmond, VA says (15/Feb/2004): | I AGREE with jster22! Love the game, almost obsessed...lol....BUT, your team is ignorant, and incompetent. I've also seen that alot of times when you throw a "frag," one of them will run toward it, instead of taking cover, like being ordered. Still though, in my mind, it's one of the best ever made, as far as gameplay, scenarios, and action. I think it beats Rainbow 6, and Rogue Spear, which are outstanding games in their own rights. I am currently stuck on the "Retrieve the Nukes" stage. I get to the nukes, but by the time I get there, my team is mostly obliviated, as they love to stand there without defending themselves, while being shot at. But, the graphics, and gameplay are awesome. It's very easy to get addicted to this game. It's not a "shoot 'em up" game per say, as it makes you use your head in planning, and figuring out the best ways to meet the objective. Alot of stealth has to be used, instead of just charging and shooting. You basically need all of your team to accomplish alot of the missions, or atleast someone watching your back. It keeps you thinking, all the while you're having to watch your surroundings also. Yet, one negative aspect to me, is an annoying one. It's the female who is always talking, especially when she radioes to you that it's a "mission failure." Maybe she needs to go out there and complete the mission, instead of sitting on some safe ship away from the mission....lol. I highly rank this game, and have reccommended to several friends, who have also fell in love with it.

| Why i liked SOCOM: US Navy Seals | | Phil from NY Sate-USA says (3/Jan/2003): | Well i got this game for Christmas along with Grand Theft Auto-Vice city And also Ghost Recon, im into fighting games-(as in shooting em up)-It started when i used to Play...."guns" when i was younger-i developed a strong.....passion i guess you could say for the S.W.A.T. team(Special Weapons And Tactics)I neverreally was much of a swimmer and i thought that was all the Navy Seals did....guess i was wrong, im seriously giving some thought to this occupation-I play paintball and airsoft all the time so i get a clue how hard it is to be a seal and i really respect that.I think they made this game really realistic, ive read other ppl's opinion on boomer and i think their right he is stupid sometimes-but if you stop to think...he does help-most game send you by yourself on a mission.Think about that.....ppl who are just reading to see if they wanna buy this game-BUY IT!! its great-fun,realistic,entertaining,informing, this game comes with a headset for real voice commands and they work reaal easy i even tryed doing it with an accent!!the game is included with a long informative documentary that brings you through "Hell Week" As a navy seal in training. Buy this game it is awsome and if you like than you have my kind of taste so try "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon",it is a great game and in case you are wondering like some of my other friends, it has nothing to do with ghost's it just means that the team is silent to strike uppon.Good luck Gamers and cheaters- dont be relutant to purchase this item.
| Definetly the best game out there for PS2 | | Flatrick from Asheboro, North Carolina (USA) says (17/Mar/2003): | SOCOM Navy SEALs takes a bite out of the cake. There's no game more reaslistic than it out there. Single player is excellent, but one downside. Once you beat Ensign difficulty, the computer AI is ridicously godlike. Example: On level 7, POW Camp, right at the start of the level. There are two men on patrol, coming your way through the path. I hide behind a thick group of grass, and RIGHT when they step out behind the rock they see me and shoot me. Idiotic, as you see. And it seems the more missions you beat, the stupider your Boomer friend gets. I'm serious, too, this guy has no brains. Here's the setting: I'm crouching behind a tree, trying to hide from the enemies approaching, and this moron steps out and gets shot in a heartbeat, thus giving my position away. He's stupid, I usually just kill him at the start of the mission. Now, about multiplayer. I love it. It's so easy to get connected and play against people, and the cooperation is (usually) great. The downsides? 1) twelve year olds. They are idiotic. And their voices hurt my ears. 2) Cheaters. Glitching is highly unaccepted, but usually team mates vote glitchers off so its all good. 3) The worst thing of it all, GETTING DISCONNECTED. Every, say, 20 minutes I get disconnected from a game, kicked off the server, etc.. And it's definetly not my connection, since most of the players I talk to have the same problem as well. If it wasn't for these downsides, the game would have got a 10. Oh well. It still rocks!
| Awesone for today's technology / Username codes online | | SGT. BLOOD from Portland, USA says (23/May/2004): | Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share my opinion and a few username codes that everyone can try to use when creating an online persona. This game is the bomb. I've played others and always seem to come back to SOCOM 2 for the shear variety and challenge of not taking one in the back and cappin' every body that walks (or runs) into my field of fire.
The codes are NOT cheats, but allow you to change your text in the online menus. It will make your username a specific color and all text from you will be that color too. Where you select your player name. Select an empty playername slot (of the avail. three per mem card). Type in the following exactly as I've listed them for the desire color (with possible variations on spaces). Finish logging in to see the result.
#Cs = Red (#C~! and #C~% are Red too)
#CZ L= Purple (#C? L is Purple too)
#C~~= Gold (#Cae {ae is the merged alternative lettering})
#C! ~= Blue (#C00a {zero, zero,a w/ 2 dots above it} will show a "select" box in front of the username which is also blue -> Cool)
#C'v= Green (#C#~ is Green too)
#C~[]= Light Pink
#C{:}= Pinkish/Purple (may be same as purple above)
I hope you enjoy. I'm part of the "T:D" clan and can be found in the US Central room most evenings. "SGT. BLOOD" is my name. Drop by and let me see how your names look and maybe share some of the other interesting variations on color you've found. Feel free to send a friend invite.
Thanks everyone and enjoy.
| ONE WORD SAYS IT ALL (SOCRACK) | | SOCRACK NUT from colorado says (27/Aug/2003): | This game is unbeliveably addictive. I have been playing games from the days of ATARI and have not seen a better over all game.
The one player section of the game goes without saying but the online section of the game is INCREDIBLE. They could not have done any better in my opinion with the online. The people you play with or against are generaly fun and if your lucky you can join a clan (teams online)It's like having your own little or big possy. Depending on how often your team plays you could make a 12 hour day seem like a 2 hour day (time flies when your havin fun a ton of fun)I luckly belong to a clan that are there hell of high water they are there every night (or at least 75% of them. The head set makes it all the more fun because you can talk directly to others on your team at any point during game play. Pretty soon they will need to open up a socomaholics institution.
I will be one of the first to addmit myself. Socom has my mind in the clouds most of the day (when I should be thinking about work) Instead I find myself thinking about how I can get better
(at least online) and hey if you get discuraged and think you stink dont give up just practice and youl get better you have to take into fact there are people online that have been playing socom online for about 2 years on a full time basis. and we cant forget your cheaters wich in my opinion take up about 40 % of the players online (grrrrr) All and all this game rocks
| THis is a Very good game | | killer35 from wilmington says (29/Apr/2004): | This is a very good game. but there are some major problems that need to be fixed in socom 3 if their making one... for one the the story line sux(but i really dont think they made this game for a storyline) so if u dont have the broadband internet connection i dont recomend this game to you... but if u do i think u should get it cause it gets major butt online... The team AI sux major balls in the game, but online all the damn glitches i mean what the hell i went onto a website where they told u all the spots to glitch and there is like 100 of them like what the hell cant they fix it or somthing and thats about it oh ya the ranking system sux online, you can be a luetenent commander one day and then not play for two and just go right back down to a lutenent i mean what the hell its hard enough just get that high up in rank.. the weird thing is like this game has a lot of problems but yet its so addicting, and I have to say that it is probably the best online game ive ever played in my life on ps2... ok i think thats all oh and killer35 is my socom name... and i dont think glitching is legal cause on frostfire if someone gets into the tank there is like no way of killing him i mean u can but i dont know hot to but i know other people that do but its not a good camoflauge spot or anything like that because when someone glitches they can kill u but cant necesserily can kill them.. in conclusion PEOPLE THAT SUCK GLITCH
| great game one of the best | | cory watkins from las vegas nevada USA says (25/Jul/2003): | first of all all these people saying oh i have glitches i dont like that boo hoo i've been playing this game for a whle and i havent had one glitch oh and about AI its not the best but not as bad as people make it seem like i havent died because my guy got shot and acts like nothing happen i say youre lazy and rely on youre team doing all the work because if you watch his back he will try to watch youres but watch youre back too levels are good needs a little more harder levels besides prison break because of that chopper it was kinda easy needs way more levels say 20 or so it gets to be a pain doing easy stuff and then getting killed bye snipers grenade launchers and having to do everything all over there should be like at least one save point i also thinkyou should be able to control boomer wider span of level area would be good come up with interesting level objectives make some levels be in like a town say iraque baghdad i think what would be cool is if you could have like 8to10 teammates have a ambush with six teammembers and the other cover you with like snipers i give this game a 10 not perfect because nothing is perfect much better than ghost recon more recon snipeing ability is needed i hope the next one is much much better than the first one i think people exagurrate by giving this game like a 5 even if this game has those glitches they know its still better than any game ever made so until socom 2
| Best video game in history. | | Richard from Hemet, California, USA says (25/Jan/2003): | better than rainbow six, ghost recon, or any other game for any other system. Ausome graphics, best gameplay. great sound, it is an ausome game with the best fun factor ever. never have i or any of my friends played a better game. snipering in trees and in tall grass kicks ass. tossing the guards dead bodys around is SWEET! It is a very hard game so don't get me wrong but that doesn't mean it's not the best game on earth or better yet the universe. SOCOM Is the best. Yeah! i love it. dig through the ditches and burn through the witchs. i don't know what else to say except im playng socom right this very second. i hate school so i will just stay home all day playing the best game in the universe. SOCOM! Hell yeah the best game. One thing pissed me off. they don't have any good black metal music in it. although i haven't every played a game with black metal muisc in it. I hate afganistan so we need a war game like socom were you kill terrorists like on socom. Kill all the bad guys and you win but it is not at all that simple. the Artificial intelegence is acually smart in this game. but don't give up. you could do it with a little practice. Live life, play video games! like socom. So have fun and play online with all of your homies. be on a team or play against one another! Grab life by the horns and play socom. Stop, drop and role. Hahaha. you crack me up homies. have fun. later!
