WOW. SOCOM is the best, next to Medal of Honor. I have a really fun time playing SOCOM. I like to run around ships and snowy mountains, while taking out anyone I see. And I really like having the headset control, and have my team ambush, and hold fire. I got to finish a whole level, just standing there, and my team got everything done. The graphics are SO awsome. And the sound is fun and pulse-pounding. And I also can't wait for SOCOM II. But some bad things about SOCOM is. Well. Sometimes, when I give a job, they just stand there. Like one time, I was under heavy-attack, and I called Bravo and the rest, but they just stood there! And the ememies are kind-of stupid. Hey, would you know if there was a SEAL, standing in front of you, with a Machine gun pointed at you? Overall SOCOM is one cool game, and I can't wait for SOCOM II.

this game is da bomb. the graphics the guns the commands the headset. its way cooool.but sometimes it cheats. sometimes in the like 5x and the enemies dont die. or sometimes your team will instead of going around it walk into the and keep doing then you gotta start over that`s why i gave it a 9

this is the best game ever the graphics are the best i ever seen its also very hard . not at first but later in the game .its fun in multiplayer mode you gt to be on a 16 man team its so cool.i got the game when it first came out and it is still the best game out. thats why i alrady have a reserve on the 2nd one.

socom us navy seals if far the best game for the ps2 it is realistic you can talk your commands instead of pressing buttons
there are lots of guns lots of levels and they are even hard to complete and that the way i like it because there is no point of buying a game that you are going to complete in 1 hour because it ell just be wasting money and i have got my moneys worth on this game because it is the best and soomn i will be playin online when i get a network adaptor and have subscibed
this game is defently worth buying so get out there and get it no because if you dont you are realy in to litte kiddy game like 3+ games

what is with all the violence in these games my son said he was playing this game and described it to me i couldnt beleive my ears i grounded him for a mounth and threw the game away its to relestic and it my be #1 on the charts but my kids sure wont playing it

This would have to be my most favorite game of them all. I like the way you can shoot some of the terrorists through a door or a thin wall without having to face them. You can also kill three to four terrorists with one shot. What's even better about the game is how the player can get all the terrorist weapons after you beat the game just once. My personal favorites ore the M82 Light Fifty, the M4-M203, and the Desert Eagle. A definite must have for those of you who love military games.

Well, one new PS2 purchased...what better game to christen this baby with. Navy Seals has just rocked our little world in New Zealand I feel. It's, I think, as close to the real thing that we will get for now. An enemy that reacts fast enough to take out your squad if caught unawares, no health bar that ticks down to 0% after taking 100 rounds to the head...(one or two shots, you're a goner) and where stealth, patience and skill will get you through these tough missions. My goal, personally, is to try and get every one of my Team members out alive; alas this is not always the case so I carry him out under the cover of my remaining members. It's only a game, but in Reality I would pursue the same avenue (who wouldn't) Anyway, I'll leave it at that. 'Fire in the heart, Ice on the brain' Kia kaha e hoa ma.

I love this game , I really do. but it tends to get really difficult at times. I'm sure everyone who has really played this game knows that.espaecially when you beat it the first time. you get cooler weapons and stuff, but the overall gameplay is much tuffer. I'm still working on the mission with the marine hostages.

First off i just want to say the AI is not that bad, but then i have got the english version.. Sure boomer is a stupid idiot and does not seem to understand the need to be stealthy..Do you remember the forth mission in the jungle when you can sneak down passages and knife people. Just imagine it, you are creeping up to someone in the jungle, ready to knife him, then bloody BOOMER come running up to you, alerts the guard and the end up covering you in bullets! DOH! Its still the best ps2 game out at the moment so you may as well buy it.

I have just started this game and I am still getting use to moving around and stuff. In fact, the first time i played this game I beat it...but sadly at the end i realized that i needed my partner and he was just raped! a few secons back and i needed his satchel charge but....im tryin' agin!
Anyways SOCOM is the best god damn game i have ever played its also, liek i thought very similar to Counter-Strike witch is my other favourite game for the computer SOCOM ROCKS!

I've played lots of online games for the x-box, pc, and ps2. But socom was by far the most fun game out of all of them. The gameplay is the best, the graphics are good, and the headset makes the game really fun. This game is a must have for online gamers. So what if it has lots of glitches, those all were fixed so not as many ppl do them. And if you do glitch its only because you suck at the game and glitching is the only way for you to win.

Awesome game as is. Plenty of room for improvement though thats why I can't wait for number 2. I think an option to not have the game stop when you use headset commands would be good. Also maybe the ability to play some bots on the online levels and of course to be able to play cooperatively with someone on the missions.

This game is by far the best military game yet!!! you have your own team to run and you can talk to them also. the headset is the best part!!! if you dont have this game go get it now! you won't believe how addictive this game is. once you start this game you will never want to let it go! i played it once and i just had to buy it. the graphics, detail, story, and reality of the game gives you the sense of actually being in it!

first of all all these people saying oh i have glitches i dont like that boo hoo i've been playing this game for a whle and i havent had one glitch oh and about AI its not the best but not as bad as people make it seem like i havent died because my guy got shot and acts like nothing happen i say youre lazy and rely on youre team doing all the work because if you watch his back he will try to watch youres but watch youre back too levels are good needs a little more harder levels besides prison break because of that chopper it was kinda easy needs way more levels say 20 or so it gets to be a pain doing easy stuff and then getting killed bye snipers grenade launchers and having to do everything all over there should be like at least one save point i also thinkyou should be able to control boomer wider span of level area would be good come up with interesting level objectives make some levels be in like a town say iraque baghdad i think what would be cool is if you could have like 8to10 teammates have a ambush with six teammembers and the other cover you with like snipers i give this game a 10 not perfect because nothing is perfect much better than ghost recon more recon snipeing ability is needed i hope the next one is much much better than the first one i think people exagurrate by giving this game like a 5 even if this game has those glitches they know its still better than any game ever made so until socom 2

SOCOM: US Navy SEALs is one heck of a good game. The graphics r the best I've seen, since Medal of Honor: Frontline. The sound is awsome! with all the gunfire, and yelling, how can it get better than this! SOCOM's gameplay is SO fun! It makes u want 2 start the mission over again! But one thing...no two things that got 2 me was....First: U die SO easy! I mean from a punch 2 one shot, wood it hurt 2 have some...what do they call those things? Oh ya...ARMOR! And two: It wood B a little more fun if they had Mutiplayer! Even though SOCOM has Online, mayb 4 ppl who don't have Online cables, put in mutiplayer. Overall, GIVE US SOCOM II!

What can you ask for when you've got such an awesome game? This game delivers hours of intensity and action. I fell in love with this game the first day I bought it. The best part about the game is goin in stealth then blowin the crap out of the enemy(s). Even better, the game has tons of weapons to choose from. Online play is very cool, and the headset allows you to control your guys where you want them to go. Yes, the games gets harder and more annoying as you go along in levels, but it's still perhaps one of THE best games ever! Some glitches, as when one of your guys gets stuck to a wall or ladder, but the awesome graphics make up for it. AI is tough, sometimes smart, but overall this game is a very, well put together game. It's well worth the cost!

There is nottin that you can say about this game that brings it down. This game is the best military game since Rainbow Six for the PSX. What more could ya ask for?!?!? SWEET graphics, a wide variety of levels to keep you going, and an awsome arsenal for you to use! The only problem with da game is dat it gets a lot harder on the 3rd level..but hey...wut gamer dosent like a game that isnt afraid to send a challendge your way? Seasoned gamers hate when the games gets tough near the end. This game also alows you to command your troops like in a real simulation. This is what makes SOCOM stand out from the rest of the pack.

I am very disappointed with Socom: US Navy seals. Firstly it's the most expensive PS2 game I've bought, yeah you get an uncomfortable headset but I don't even like using it. When I'm playing a stealthy game I want to get into the right mood; Having to yell commands doesn't help. I would have prefered to have been able to murmur commands. And how come there isn't a command: Get out of my damn way moron, coz I've been in loads of situations where I want to get through a door and I've got to keep banging into a team member to get them to move.
The AI sucks. Boomer is just one lousy liability that ruined countless mission attempts. The other guys at least can be sent away to die, or left at the start but they are no better; I mean these morons can't even guard a closed door. A number of times I've left Bravo facing a door and I've come back to find them dead. Some baddie opened the door and wasted them, what were they doing ? sleeping ?
I've encountered loads of glitches mostly of the kind where some team member gets glued to a wall or ladder. Other glitches include not deploying satchels, having to hand hold them into position and still not deploying satchels.
There is no decent ROE (Rules of engagement). I want to be able to issue commands like stay down until I say so, or do not fire at all.
Some of the most crucial controls are crap. Like having one key to choose stance, how stupid is that ? I mean here I am in a tight spot and I decide to go prone but no! for some reason I can't go prone at this location so bingo I stand up! hello baddies!
This game cannot compare with the worst of what Tim Clancy has done for his PC games. Games like Ghost Recon, Raven Shield, etc. all very similar, but all very slick. And cheaper too.

This game beats the crap out of all the other war and military games I have ever played for ps2. This is because you can control a team, use some sweet guns and you have the chance to use them. The graphics are insane and you dont die with one shot. Plus its cool fireing that M-60 full auto and not have to stop all movement to fire like in Desert Storm.

Socom is the best game ever, and im sure u can agree with me. I've never played a game for 24 hours straight without getting bored this game is the best. The graphics are awsoeme, the regular game is awsome, but the best of course is the online experience. I would give this game a TEN outta TEN. THANKS SONY
