Heres a game that i can sit and play hours apon hours and never get board, i mean the one player is awsome but when you plug into online ooo so sweet. the set up is awsome but it needs a few more maps for the online version...but still very cool game

Socom Navy Seals is the best game ever made because of the realistic features such as the graphics. The looking of the men and surrondings were the best i have ever seen, the sound effects were the best part on the guns the best sound affect gun was HK 5 it sounds so real. The commands were really cool. The weapons were extremly realistic those guns are the acual guns navy seals use when going in to combat they looked real sounded real and the gun fire rate was the best gun feature that made it even more real. And the other cool effect of the game is how hard it is and the grading after u beat the level was kool to.

THis is the best game ive played yet but I agree the cheating has to stop! The other nite I heard sony was going to start black listing cheaters! I hope thats true. Whats the point in cheating anyway? In short I think the online portion of the game is the best part of it though the Ai seems a bit slow minded! I dot like the fact that yo die off a rifle gutt to the head.

Let me start off by saying SOCOM is the most addictive online game I have ever experienced. The headset adds a whole new level of strategizing that games like CounterStrike lack. The clan system rocks (even if it is limited to 16 now) and, most importantly, the gameplay is tight and fair (most of the time). EXCEPT...these bitches w/GameSharks that think their good or something by getting all the kills by CHEATING. Let's count out the cheats (there may be more but this is what I've encountered): unlimited ammo, flying, invisibility, NO VOTE OFF, (ridiculous) starting on other team's side, and even killing your own team. When I first got this game in September, it was awesome because the servers weren't clogged and there weren't any cheaters (although there were glitchers). All in all, SOCOM is a must-buy, but you may find yourself wanting to break the goddamn PS2 when you can't find a room without a cheater. Zipper Interactive should really look into these problems for the next game because it takes ALL the fun out of the online. Oh, and in case you're wondering the single player is fun, but it gets old quick, buy it for the online.

I dont care who you are this game is the best game ever! The graphics are good and you get to shoot people to peices! just awsome! BUT!!!! like mentioned before they need away to stop that glitching because it is really annoying when you're having an amazing battle with other people around the world and suddenly some jo-blow comes flys in the air shooting everyone with a sniper rifle which has the fire rate of a M16. the cheating needs to stop! one last thing people mentioned things about how the crosshairs moved to fast and how the aimer jumped abit when the were sniping, TRY AND SNIPE SOMETHING IN REAL LIFE!!!! THE AIMER DOESN'T SIT STILL YOU NEED TO BE STEADY AND HAVE THE GUN LEVELED SO THE AIMER DOESN'T FLY AROUND EVERYWHERE! thats all i have to say. AWSOME GAME!!! Peace out!

This game is the shiznit...hands down. After playing a couple times at my cousins home, the Misses said you gonna get that game. She got it instead, and hasn't played it yet due to me logging numerous hours leading ABLE & BRAVO to victory. There have been some folks who want to knock SOCOM for all of it's short comings....nothing is perfect we can only hope to be near flawless, for all of you bashers out there, stay low cause online the DROP SQUAD is comin' for you......

I rented this game i could never stop playing it. Then i bought it it was sure worth $80 (can). I love the snow level and the jungle level a little hard when you first play it.Not that bloody whitch is okay for my mom. But in level three boomer always gets seen so that fails a abjective so I always leave the when I clear the way for them to come. My favirote gun is the colt m16 when you in the snow level your primeary weapon.

I think socom is the best game on PS2. The offline game is kinda dull but online kicks A$$! If you have a modem it is really worth the money. ($100 including everything you need) Once youre online you will be addicted. I'm no loser who sits on the couch and plays video games but I play socom allmost every day.

In my opinion, I think that SOCOM is the best game ever made for any game system because if you pay attention to your weapons, and how you kill people, that is what you do in real life! What I mean is that in the game, you can rifle butt an enemy right in the back of the head, and that will literally knock them out! Same thing with the knife attack. And, on the United States' guns, like the M16, it only has a 20 round clip. And besides that, you can really talk to your teammates! And, all of the missions in SOCOM were real missions completed by real navy SEALS. So, whoever doesn't like the game, then you have some problems!

This game is one of my favorite games because I love army and other type of games dealing with this subgect. I was happy the day I got it because all my friends, cousins, and brothers were saying it was a great game. Also my friends said they were going to get the game before me but I was the first person to get it.

I always loved wargames. So the first day SOCOM: US Navy Seals came out I bought it. And its great on singleplayer. But the online experience is much better. This most be the most realilistic game for PS2. You take people in real live and put them in a video game. When ever you get shot it makes a noise, to show your wounded, the graphics are awesome. If I had to rate this game 1-5 for fun factor I would have to rate it a 5.Trust me you should buy this game. Also I reccomend you buy the headset with it. If you love singleplayer you HAVE TO GET A NETWORK ADAPTER SO YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE. Online is amazing and FUN!!

This game is for people who tend to play shooter games and choose to be the snipers. This game is realistic as hell. If you let the enemy know your in his area then he sends all of his men after you. The key is stealth. For those who complain the game is too hard are ignorant, the game is not hard...its realistic. You have to use everything possible to camoflauge yourself our your a dead man, and you must make pinpoint shots. Put yourself in your soldiers shoes and play like your life is on the line. This game is one of the best games out for PS2.

To take this game online is the greatest thing you can do with a playstation 2. The realism is great, and the fact that you can talk to your teamates with the USB headset that comes with the game, it is so much fun. To get into a game and have grenades blowing up, hostages falling down, and hiding in bushes with silenced guns, you will have more fun than you have ever had. Anyone who has a playstation 2 with the online network adapter, should definitly have this game. Even if you don;t have the online network adapter, it is still worth getting it just for SOCOM. And even if you don't want to play online, the single player is great. But it is the online 8 on 8 multiplayer that makes the game one of the best.

This game is the best!The graphics are great. When you hit someone in the leg, they will fall and roll around for a while, slowly get up, and if you shoot them when they are getting up, they flop on to they're back.The sound is good as well. When playing with the headset, if someone calls from HQ or one of your teammembers talks to you, you hear it in the headset.There is some parts where it it gets kinda tough, but second time around you can easily get it. It is definitely worth $60.

This game is very sweet! Now you people have alot of guts to makes a US Navy Seals Game. Especially the online mode it makes you feel like you are really in it. Im a fan of games like this you would if u get it. The snow mission is very cool you have to kill terrorrist group that have special weapons of mass destruction.I am the best in this game because I use stragety in this action/aventure game you will love this game I suggest you to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is hands down the best shooter on the market! I have not played the one player version yet, no need to. Online play is simply superb. Not perfect though. Gameshark and Codebreaker have pretty much made their way into the game. Zipper and Sony should have forseen this and made the online version ready in case this happened. Also, the servers struggle at times to handle the load, which is supposed to be broadband only, but rumors are that you can run the network adapter through your pc and hook up with 56k. The servers are so bad that Zipper/Sony actually removed the rankings and cleared the clan message to handle the load. The glitching that people whine about is nothing compared to the codes being used. All weapons, no vote and a flying code are just some of the ones that have ruined my nights playing. The glitchers you can vote off, but the codes are unstoppable. On a better note, this game is sure to keep me playing regardless. The friends I have made and the idea of dropping into the top 100 has me going. BUY THIS GAME! Not for one player, but for the online version. There is nothing like matching wits with real human intelligence. I give this game a 9 for a rating. It would be a 10+, but like I said, some of these problems could have been avoided.

Socom is the thing that has taken me away from my life for the past mounth. Ill come home from school and its the first thing I do! The main game and missions are so real and hard that you will stay up all night on a school night just to beat it. There are 12 missions and they go from easy to hard, But thats not all. The online game play is the bomb! Its the main reasion Socom got its name. You make a online name for yourself and log online. Its simple. You are put in a chat room with diffrient rooms to choose from , US Central , US West , Austraila , ect. You enter a room and u will find your self in a nother chat room and more rooms. You enter a room you like and BAM! y7our almost ready to play , as soon as all the green dots light up , you will be playing real life people with real skills. Its the best thing in gamming since Rainbow Six !

SOCOM is a great game, but there are a few things that I had a problem with. Like the fact that Boomer is a dumbass. I mean, who's going to be watching you get shot as you stand a couple of yards away. It's really entertaining though. I'm in the Navy, and if anyone knows about the Hospital Corps, you know what it's like to fight with the Marines. This just isn't a good enough substitute. Another problem I have is when you're talking right into the Mic, they sometimes act like they didn't hear you. And some commands that we use in real life, they don't use in the game. If you could actually give the SEAL's the comand to actually cover you, it would be much better. The cover area command is much to broad. Well, I should probably get off this, don't want HM3 comin' in and yellin' at me...Peace

SOCOM: US Navy Seals is one of the most realistic games out there. The guns and commands are outstanding. The only downfall in this game is that the missions are sometimes hard. You could be getting right at the very end of a mission and then one objective fails and you have to start all over. When I first started playing the first level of the game, I did not like it too much because it was very dark and hard to see, but like every game you have to first get used to the gameplay and how everything works. The levels get better and you notice more details as you play more. I recommend this game for anyone who likes shooters such as the Quake series, Unreal Tournament, etc. If you purchase this game, you should also get an online adapter because this game is very fun online. Getting online is wayyyy more fun than the regular game objectives. If you don't like the regular game objectives, go get an online adapter and go online with the game, you'll have alot more fun. SOCOM: US Navy Seals is the game to get.

this game is sick yo. IT is crazy. The single player game is great. It's action packed, stealth, with loads of gun fights. This at times may get agrivating as all games do, but completing your missions is rewarding. However, if you have a ps2 network adapter, the online multiplayer is unbelievable. The multiplayer, and single player feel as if two different games. It is enough just to buy this game for either one. I strongly recomend this game.
