Totally the best game i think i have ever played,i literally spend more than 5 hours a day playing this thing to redeem my self and not shame my name."BUT" one of the biggest things that hold me back from being the biggest baddest seal on-line is those annoying glitchers,If you creators,servers,manufactures are reading this and really is concerned,would you please fix this problem,because it really doesn't say much for you guys technology and my rifle play action.i kind of found a way around that by hiding in buildings,but i'm Rambo to the 10th power.Who knows!maybe you are the guys glitching to avoid me from spanking your bottoms! I don't know! all i know is,this problem has been going on for some months now and you guys have done nothing or said anything about it,i'm beginning to think that you just maybe the glitchers.and at first during ensign,i thought boomer was a total idiot,but now that i am an LT. i realize that i need boomer,just by hearing how many kills he gets a board alone.The CPU boards also has a few discrepancies of its own like guys just appearing out of no-where which is most annoying.Just an idea though,But instead of sharper shooters around,it should of been more people to shoot,ha,ha,ha,. Once again the best game out their,but please do something about those stinking glitches.... deserves a 10,but glitches gotta go!!!

Lets be honest here. SOCOM:US Navy Seals is off the hook. My husband got be into it. At first I was like, "stop playing so much", but when I tried it out I got hooked. My husband went and bought me my own PS2 and another copy of SOCOM for my b-day. Now that was sweet. But my question is, why arent there any female figures on Socom? Only the hostages that's about it. I would like the Ladies to represent you know. Have the men know that Ladies also kick a**. LoL...

i think the graphics on this game are very good. the ai though needs some work. its like there mind less. they just stand there when they are geting shot. but the missions are desined great. but it would be beter if there was a save piont along the way. but instead when you die you have to start over the hole mission. they need to explain the missions beter because its kinda hard when they kill evry one in the area and there is no boundry to the area. bu thats just my appinion. you probly have your own. the online part is a lot beter then the actul game itself because you can comunicate to your team mates alot beter. and you can use the levels move easily then you can on the missions.but other wise then a couple things i think this game is one of the best nay seals games on the market.

i give this game a 10 because i have never played a game as fun and adictive as this. The first time i played it was online, and the only problem i have with it is that when your plying it online some people like to use code breakers and gamesharks, and they and theres also people that glitch; but if the problem is fixed when the next socom comes out ill get it to, and there's no denying that this is the best online game out because i played others and they dont come close.

I love SOCOM Navy Seals. I rented it one day & played for about 10 minutes & have had in my life everyday since. The graphics are tight the control are fine and the realness of the whole game itself is great. Lets not forget about the headset that makes it alot easier to control your squad. Those have any complaints about the actions of their troops must not know what they're doing cause you have complete control of your troops all you have to do is combine a little bit of common sense and some of the orders you can give your soldiers. I will admit that the controller can make it difficult to accurately head shot a target but a little practice and a good stealth position and problem solved. All around I dig it and wish they would make a game about the Marines.

Socom is the best online game ever it is very addicting so i warn u once u play it u wont stop im not joking at all,The graphics r the best and all the weapons to choose from!The regualar 1 player game isnt as close to as good as online thought and u can talk to all your players with your USB headset

The game is definitely one of the better games on the market. The weapons are really cool, the reactions (such as sneeking up on someone, firing weapons, getting shot) are good (although I've never been shot, so I don't know if that one is authentic). However, your team isn't always the smartest. I've thrown grenades that get stopped short and will fall right close to my team. I run back, but they don't. Plus when you tell them to deploy it, if they aren't at the same angle as you are and you tell them to deploy a grenade into a room, they throw the grenade, but it hits the wall. The team AI needs to be developed better. But the enemy AI is excellent. Sometimes too excellent, even when they probably shouldn't have spotted you, they do.
Also, I don't like the position button that switches between crouch, stand, and prone, because sometimes it doesn't switch to prone when it easily could. Once I tried to switch to prone, with plenty of space to lie down, and I went to "stand", and got shot in the head.
Lastly, not at fault to the game, but sometimes it's so hard to target with the dual shock controller. It's so sensitive that sometimes I die because I can't center the arrow over the enemy.

Game is much to dark causing eye strain. Hopefully someone will sue the game makers for intentionally dark games that cause eye strain. May be this will cause better lighting conditions. It's easier to see at night than this game lets on, the longer your out at night, the better you see. Not so here. Team mates that do not follow close enough to protect you is a big downfall of this game. Good weapons availability, but other teammates should be able to carry claymores. I'm disappointed in the quality of this game, with all the hype, I expected much more. That annoying female voice, is it possible to find and take her out? The bomb-diffusing ability is lacking, the character keeps standing up while doing his job, having to start over each time, what good are teammates that don't back you up? The maps are not up to spec, they are confusing and lack detail. The US military is big into maps and intelligence imagery. Take note game makers. I expect that online play is far superior, could not possibly be worse. Single player experience is poor substitute for just going outside and doing anything else. May be I'm just not a hard core gamer, I prefer real life to this junk. I've played other games that were better, hopefully the makers will get it right two or three versions later.

SOCOM Navy SEALs takes a bite out of the cake. There's no game more reaslistic than it out there. Single player is excellent, but one downside. Once you beat Ensign difficulty, the computer AI is ridicously godlike. Example: On level 7, POW Camp, right at the start of the level. There are two men on patrol, coming your way through the path. I hide behind a thick group of grass, and RIGHT when they step out behind the rock they see me and shoot me. Idiotic, as you see. And it seems the more missions you beat, the stupider your Boomer friend gets. I'm serious, too, this guy has no brains. Here's the setting: I'm crouching behind a tree, trying to hide from the enemies approaching, and this moron steps out and gets shot in a heartbeat, thus giving my position away. He's stupid, I usually just kill him at the start of the mission. Now, about multiplayer. I love it. It's so easy to get connected and play against people, and the cooperation is (usually) great. The downsides? 1) twelve year olds. They are idiotic. And their voices hurt my ears. 2) Cheaters. Glitching is highly unaccepted, but usually team mates vote glitchers off so its all good. 3) The worst thing of it all, GETTING DISCONNECTED. Every, say, 20 minutes I get disconnected from a game, kicked off the server, etc.. And it's definetly not my connection, since most of the players I talk to have the same problem as well. If it wasn't for these downsides, the game would have got a 10. Oh well. It still rocks!

Listen to JUKEBOX MOM on page 4. The gameplay rocks!! Besides, what would you expect from a mom? The one downside(for some people) is a lot of people love to cheat. But it's pretty easy to stay away from that. Anyway, this is the online game of the century!!!

Socom is the best game i've ever played! There is a great variety of guns. My favorite gun is the AKs-74. It's a seal sweeper!!! But enough about that, lets get to gameplay. The fighting is intense. The game can be 30seconds (if it's a good murder. Or it can be 10 minutes if there are a lot of campers. Overall this game is the best I've played so far. If you don't have it, you gotta get it!!!

Well I bought the game about 3 weeks ago and i have to say that it is the only game that i have went to sleep and had dreams about. The best thing about it is the online play. I havent played the one player mode that much. Online play is so unpredictable(u never know whats gonna happen. I havent joined a clan yet but i heard its even better when you have a clan war. Basically this game made my two best friends go buy playstation 2's and get broadban so they can play online. Its so hard to stop playing even when you know u have to work in da morning. Go get it if u dont have it.

The only thing thats not cool, is some people take it to serious and they vote people off. Doesnt happen much. So all you a**holes he do that, quit it. Everyone is online to have fun, it's not real, so dont take it so seriously. And for all those who cheat, thats a pretty lame way to win, and I have to respect for you. IF you have the playstation 2, then get SOCOM today. If you have broadband, even better, play online, join clans, use stleath and silenced weapons against human opponents. The best game i have ever played. Talk and plan stradigies online with the Headset, that works on the PC too!!!!! BUY IT NOW!

I have had this game for only a few months but the actual game and the online play is so addicting, its so realistic. U gotta love the online play and the reality of it especially once u form/join a clan, If u want a challenge face USMC clan in Hanguk and u will find out everything u wanna know about the game.

I just bought this game 4 days ago and I have to say wow. I Played the one player mission and I havn't even beat the first mission yet because I'm hooked on the online play. I think the coolest aspect of this game is the head set. It's soo cool that you can discuss your stragity with your teamates. Im soooooooo happy.

Yes people what all this critics are saying is true, Socom Us Navy Seals is the best game out there. This game has the bestes graphics out there. Not only that but this game is not only about shooting it is about tactics and stealth. If you like games like GoldenEye or something were you just kill people, this game is not for you. THis is for the people who like Tactical games like ROgue Spear. In this game not only do you shoot at people you have to think everymovement you do. THis game is so realistic. DId you know that the creaters had to study the actuall navy seals to do this video game. The reason the navy seals actually let the creaters a little peek at their tacticals and fireweapons arsenal is because in the interview they said that if there was gona be a game about the navy seals that it should be done right (Not like other games i know) Anyways the movements and tactics they were actually studied by the actual navy seals members. THis game is so amazin youll get addicted like nothing. Thank the ps2 for this game.
PS ima buy the online modem. I can't wait!!!

I bought this game about a month ago. I tell you, this is the very first game that I bought without trying, nor seeing, and I love it more than any other game on PS2! It amazed me, I sound like a nerd, but really and honestly, the realism and gameplay is so much like the real world, as I know it as... Therefore I rate this game the best game for PS2! As well as the best game that'll ever go online, unless of course a part two comes out... (Please be another) The creators would make ten times as much money, and the reviews will already be rated at atleast 10! Trust me, if a prequel comes out, there will be a major sellout!

I tell you now, that if drugs are illegal somehow SOCOM slipped through. The on-line gaming is 100% crack. The game is so addictive and realistic it's not funny. This is the best on-line game every made by any CONSOLE. There is nothing better & this point in time. The regular off-line play is great, but on-line this is just 2 addictive. I played for over 8 hours straight by accident. IT'S The best. Thx
