SOCOM US Navy Seals kicks major ass. It is so realistic, you can't carry tons weapons or have medpacks that bring you back to live. While playing you feel like time passes by i spend like 20 minutes on some missions and it feels liek two. I haven't bought the game yet, but i rent it constantly im buying it in a few days. I am at the 6th mission and it is bad ass

I bought the game a month ago and i was amazed how good it was. I still havent beaten it yet but it doesnt matter because online is way better. Some people say they should of hooked up with gotham games to make it more like conflict desert storm but as an owner of both games i would find that retarted. desert storm is very stupid i mean lets go into war get shot in the head 20 times then be fine by using a medkit oooooh realistic.

this is da best game i have ever played. i truly think this is the most relistic also.once you start playing it you cant stop.i love the guns the sounds the music everything about it is GGRREEAATT. the online is even better. the price is a little high but the game is worth it. its even more callening then any other game i have and i have 13 games.

Im not saying its a bad game. Im saying its a decent game. Due its gameplay realistics, it covers up the graphics.. The multiplayer is better than the single player, which also comes to my point that they should at least leveled out how good they were equally, instead of having multiplayer better than single player. The mission, maps, weapons, ect. are very nicely down with barely any faults. So give this game a 7

The game has many cool features but it lacks realism thay could have done better on the grapics. Some of the things and orders (not to menchin the guns) are fictonal. The makers wanted this to be realistic thay should have done better and put more effort in single player. Online wasnt bad but the code breaker users were, tho the makers could not stop that.

Okay, i must say not only is Socom Navy Seals the best game ever i must also say it is the best online game as well. Where else can you find unbelivably amazing graphics, realistic gameplay ( YOU "WILL" DIE FROM 3 GUNSHOTS ), and awsome computer generated enimies. This game by far, is the one i would call my all time favorite because of its strategic gameplay. Now really who wants to play a game where you just run in the room and light people up? Definelty not me, I wanna play games where you need to be stealth, you need to be quiet, and you need to have god accuracy. And this game depicts all of those qualities. Not only is this game good for teens. but if you are an adult who loves games like QUAKE and other shoot em up games, this is for you. I Kid you not my friends, not only did i buy the playstation2 for 399.99 just for this game, im also going to buy the whole online setup STRICTLY FOR THIS GAME. I dont care about how good HALO is and how fun 007 was......This is #1 no doubt..thanks.

Yes i wrote a review already, but might i add something? Not only is this the most interactive game ever. It is also a game of exquisite INTELLIGENCE.... Yes you can run around and shoot till your clips are empty. But really, you're not only wasting ammo but you are making a fool of yourself...My friends, you must use your head when playing this game online. Not only should you hide and try to stay out of view, but you must also take into consideration the REALNESS of combat. You need to learn the basic knowledge that real life SEALs aquire. You must learn to constantly watch your ammo (dont wanna be caught reloading as you try to blast someone , you must also make sure you are not visible from any direction or you will be shot and/or be killed. This game is not for children who will not know the proper way to light someone up without being seen. You must have the mindset of a killer in order to know how to do it without being seen.

When I first bought Socom I strictly bought it to play online... i was under the assumption that the single player game mode was going to be decent. The gameplay for single player is a lot of fun and yes you do need to have a mindset of a killer to overcome your enemies but I think where the game lacks is in the graphics. The Seals look fantastic but your surroundings area a little too blocky for a lack of a better word. The online graphics are just about the same but overall Socom must be the best game all time

ok all i have to say is tht SOCOM is the best game ever. not only is it extremly realistic (except for some parts like in the temple at hohn kean when you do the extraction and she just disappears into the helicopter) but it is challenging. the game has the best sound and gameplay of anything i have ever played. and the weapons are great (i personally love the desert eagle .50) i also like the quality of the pictures and movies in the game. a lot of games say that they have good quality but this is by far the best. i love this game i ove the weapons, the levels, i love every part of this game and i play it every chance i get. i hope that a sequeal for this game is made because it will be so good. ive played a lot of good games but this is my favorite and the bestgame i have ever played.

I have read many reviews on this game, and many of them give it a score of like an 8. I still can't figure out whats up with that. They are full of $hit and its by far the best game ever made. Online isn't the only great part, the 1 player can be very fun too (Takes a lot of time and patience to beat the game to a few ranks). Take it from me and many other people, it's worth every peny (5999 pennies) and don't let any review discourge you from buying this killer game.

This Game was great. I liked this game so much because you could command your own team. I loved that part and it really made a challenge because your team would depend on you to make the right decisions or not. The funfactor was great. I could play this game for hours and not get bored. There has never been a game designed like this and that is what makes it original.The Graphics really blew me away because everything especially the characters are detailed really great. The sound was amazing to because there was crackling over the radio like there was static and that was a real good affect. I thought that the lifespan was different and that is what makes it unique. Instead of taking 6 bullets and dying, you take one or two and die. I liked that part and thought that it made it more challenging. This game is really worth it. The money you spend on this is really worth it and you will not be disapointed. I thought this game was great for stealthiness as you cannot do alot of shooting up the place. You have to use tactics or you will fail and that is also why I liked it.

This game is the best to date hands down. I rented it before the online experience and thought nothing of it. Then i got the adapter and was curious about how a PSX2 can connect to the world. I rented "Socom" again several months later because it was the only game avalable for online play in the vid store at the time. It was in Nov.2002. I could not belive it. I dropped my "Vice City" and have never played it again. I thought the GTA 3,4 was the best PSX 2 had to offer. "Socom" the game has a never ending fun factor. It's 100% fire! Playing humans that think, speak, and make unpredictable decisions constantly in a game with such great graphics and sound ect. make it a new experience that has changed the gaming world. I belive "Socom" has set the online standards, i'm sure of it. I can't wait to see an online version "KO KINGS" and other titles where one on one combat are played out all over the world. The possibilties are endless. I'm going to be playing "SoCrack" or is it "SoCom" for a long, long time! Maybe until "Socom 2" comes out. I'm hooked! I log 4-7 hrs a day on this game. My social life is down the tubes. Thanx to psx 2 and the "Socrack" people.

Socom: US NAVY SEALs is one of the most exciting, best thrilling games I have ever played in my entire life. The online play is very addictive, and if you don't have the online adaptor, it is still fun in 1 player mode. I would recommend anyone who gets this game, gets the PS2 online adaptor which goes for $39.99. For $59.99 for a 1 player game, I don't think it's worth the trip to the store, but along with the online adaptor, I say go for it. You will meet new friends, maybe even some enemies, but it is worth it!

This is a very good game. The online play is very fun and yet, its very addictive. Sometimes there may be a few people that piss you off though while you play cause they wont listen to you, or they are screwing around. But overall, its a very good game, i wouldn't buy it though if you dont have a cable internet connection or higher though.

Patience my friend is the key to this type of a game. In reality, such as this type of missions does not take place within half an hour...I myself is a very impatient person but then again this is how the game should be played..slow but surely.Remember you are engaging on a terrorists area which you have no clue of your surroundings.The graphics are absolutely fantastic and realistic...The effects are awesome(for example a grenade exploded infront of you and you're hearing gets impaired.) The weapons/armoury by far the most sophisticated and accurate. A lot of people say Boomer is a distraction. I believe Boomer is just doing his job...In a lot of missions Boomer saved my life! So I think its up to you Commander Kahuna to control yourself and you're men. A lot of thinking and strategy involved. I highly recommend this game.It is absolutely perfect for serious gamers. Headset is cool!

this game would be good experince for those of you that are going to the navy because it is really like that out there and every thing you see on the game it happens in real life because my bro is a seal for the U.S team and he sends me pics and every thing so it would be good experince for someone about to joyn the seal team

Online play is excellent with the group of people. I constantly find myself playing against people that find "glitches" within the maps and cheaters (hiding within walls and boxes), making it imposible to eliminate them. I feel with the right set up this game would score an easy 10 but with all the glitches and people willing to cheat because they lack the skill to play fairly then this game only deserves a 7 for online play. For the rest of the game I would score it a 10.

As far as first person shooters go, this is the best game that I have played. The realism is outstanding and the headset makes it all the more realistic. Being the first game to use voice recognition sets SOCOM apart from other games right off the bat. The realism in the movement of the SEAL's, enemy, and the AI of the bad and good guys only improves my view of this game. Although games like Metal Gear Solid II emphasize stealth, they don't do it realistically. SOCOM brings the real world to PS2 war gaming. The game does require patience, however. Assuming that you don't want to get your head blown off, you need to take the time to ingress to your target silently. That means a lot of slow movement and sitting around watching for sentries and gathering intel. If, like myself, you appreciate and prefer a game with that amount of realism, you will definitely want to buy this title. If you have no patience and prefer instant action over cleverness and teamwork, you're wasting your time reading this. Overall, SOCOM is the next evolution in first person shooters.

better than rainbow six, ghost recon, or any other game for any other system. Ausome graphics, best gameplay. great sound, it is an ausome game with the best fun factor ever. never have i or any of my friends played a better game. snipering in trees and in tall grass kicks ass. tossing the guards dead bodys around is SWEET! It is a very hard game so don't get me wrong but that doesn't mean it's not the best game on earth or better yet the universe. SOCOM Is the best. Yeah! i love it. dig through the ditches and burn through the witchs. i don't know what else to say except im playng socom right this very second. i hate school so i will just stay home all day playing the best game in the universe. SOCOM! Hell yeah the best game. One thing pissed me off. they don't have any good black metal music in it. although i haven't every played a game with black metal muisc in it. I hate afganistan so we need a war game like socom were you kill terrorists like on socom. Kill all the bad guys and you win but it is not at all that simple. the Artificial intelegence is acually smart in this game. but don't give up. you could do it with a little practice. Live life, play video games! like socom. So have fun and play online with all of your homies. be on a team or play against one another! Grab life by the horns and play socom. Stop, drop and role. Hahaha. you crack me up homies. have fun. later!
