I have never bought any GTA-game till last weekend. I heard some amazing stories about this game and read some reviews about it too. So, I decided to buy it. It was worth every damn Euro!! Man, this game is so $#< remove me > at !in' great!! The game is obviously inspired by Scarface (my all-time-favourite) and the greatest TV-show of the 80's: Miami Vice and it's all worked great. Just the way you want it.
The graphics are awesome, one of the best on Playstation 2. But the best aspect of the game is the sound, without a doubt. A lot of great songs from the good ol' 80's are in the game. Michael Jackson (Billy Jean), Mister Mister (Broken Wings), Brian Adams (Run To You), Jan Hammer (Crocket's Theme). They're all in the game.
For me Mafia was the best game of 2002 but I think this one is going to beat it by far. It's just so fun!! Drive cars, motorcycles, fly around in helicopters and blowing $#< remove me > at ! up, car-chases, this game offers it all!!

Vice city is the best because of the actions that others take.
Gta3 has nothing compare to vice city's heli or the ultimate
vehicle the apache,you can activate a spcial vigilante mission
called Brown Thunder.I also like the 80's back ground and their
style of cloths.

THis game blows!! THere is no plot! THe missions suck, and it just is no fun! Don't waste your time with this game. The graphics aren't half as good as THe Getaway. Don't waste your time, effort, or money. Speaking of time, i beat it in about 2 days. Go ahead follow everyone else and buy it, it's not my 50$ being wasted.

The game was very basic, there wasn't many missions and the missions were way to easy. the hidden packages were to easy to find but the rampages were excellant! The graphics could be better and they should have more buildings you could enter and do stuff. The cars,boats, helicopters and planes were good but u need to make some of the cars WAY faster. The game had some good factors in it like the guns,clothes,buildings and vehicals. The game would be way better if the missions were longer,harder and more intense. The cops are way to easy on you, they should be onto you if you break any law e.g. running red lights and speeding. Over all i recon the game was very basic

gta vice city is a brilliant game when u first play it , its the sort of game that includes every thing such as , driving , action and crime , the missions are quite good but theres not enough of them and they are too easy and once u have done them all, theres nothing to do exept to find the hidden packages , rampages and the unique stunts . The hidden packages are abit too hard to find ( but the rewards are good ) on your own so i suggest u print off a map , the rampages are really fun but also hard to find and the unique jumps r just brilliant . There are a good variaty of weapons but u can only carry 1 of each type which is pretty stupid really but the weapons them selves are actualy quite good . The cars are good and resemble some actual car manufacurers today . The radio stations r really good they include real top name bands such as Gary Numan , the bugles and loads more . the overall gamplay is very good and the game has a pretty good story line , but i still think if u r going to buy this game i think u should rent it first.

This game is getting old... I have to admit that when gta3 came out I was like whoa... but it seemed to me they made this game to fast... and too dhort I beat the game in a little over 2 weeeks gta3 took me a whille to beat... yes the graphics are great and yes they talk and yeah the music is the bomb but I think that they could have done a little better... Now someone who hasn't played this game woud think otherwise... they would think this game is awesome... because they haven't followed the GTA series but to me I fell the game is getting old I wonder what coming out next year

This game is pretty good, but needs improvement. For example, the faces sucked a$$, and the rest of the games graffix needed to be more smooth, like THE GETAWAY, not so edgy and sharp. The missions were to easy. The game needed more missions with a challenge, like cop land(if you have gotten that far yet). The best part of the game were the insane stunt bonunes. Those rocked. And another good aspect of the game was the size of the city, it was nice and big. The storyline was completely bogus, it was just to stupid for my taste, too bad the graffix were not good enough to make up that mistake. but this is still a rental, if not a purchase. Rent this before you bye it, it may not be worth bying. Personally, I would go with the getaway, the graffix are better, as is the gameplay and the storyline.

I would give this a 10, but i rather give it a 4 because its getting old and there is nothing much to it. Sure the graphics rock, soundtrack rocks, but the gameplay is too much of an original, just the ordinary "steal the car and run away, and fight people" type of game. It took me 5 to 10 days to finish this game, without much enthusiasm not like before. Maybe its just me, but im moving on to other games that has the same genre as this one, i.e. all new The Getaway, the best crime game on PS2!!!

This game Kicks a$$! (Obviously) Same Great stuff As my 1st Game Ever on Playstaton 2 GTA3, Not Only Can you can drive "Crotch Rockets", But you Can actually Fly . I like the Huge Selection of Weapons, Cars, Boats, Hideouts, Ect..., & The revenue On Property , its like free money! The missions Are Much better Than GTA3. The cops are less Forgiving Too. The music & soundtrack are what I expected from an 80s Game, Im more of a New Music Fan . They Should have Put another Island in . This game Makes Liberty city seem Bigger.Tommy Vercetti Rules, No other charicter Could fill his shoes: He's $#< remove me > at !y , Kind of A smart a$$, But cool person to Be in this $50 Masterpiece.

Shallow, derivative and cynical. All words that describe the trash that Rockstar call a game. (I might as well point out that I live in the city the game was developed in, and many people claim, loosely based on, at least in terms of layout) The only two good things I have to about this game is that it boasts a good soundtrack and the car handling is easy. The rest of the game doesn't fare too well. The graphics are very basic, but that's probably the PS2's fault. The missions themselves were done far better in games like Hitman 2 and Jet Force Gemini. A lot of people like the game seemingly from this fascinaton with crime, which I don't buy into. The gunplay is also terrible, and the lock on system rubbish. Call this a rant if you want but this game is BORING. And that is the worst crime a game can commit.

This game is off the hook ! the graphics are awsome they look way better than in gta3 and the gamplay sweet man this is the best game you could get out of all the games there is out there. ive beat the game over 2 times already dont use codes though because whats the point in beating the game with codes over all the cars, motorcycles and planes helis are BAD < remove me > at ss! BUY this game you wont regret it!

This game is so good I can't put the controller down. When i bought the game everyone said it wasn't very good. Now they can't put the controller down either. I recondmend you buy this game because it will be the best money you ever spent.

GTA Vice City is better then i expected. When i first started playing it, i became hooked right away. I beat GTA 3, and i am only 67 percent complete with Vice City, but i can tell that it is a much better game. There was 12 weopons on GTA 3 but in Vice City there is over 40. MotorCycles also really make this game alot better. The fact that you can go into building and dance clubs and strip clubs make this game so much better then GTA 3. This is a must buy game.

Vice city is the best game i have ever played. All of the mission are brilliant and have intresting story line. If you get all hidden packagrs you can get a helicopter with double a bazooka and a powerfull machine gun at the baxter air field. The graphics are lifelike and on the whole the game is a lot more lifelike and people seem to have different personalities e.g if you steel a car they might chase you or they could run away screeming.They have added more vehicles like motor bikes,helicopters and sea planes. Anyone who doesn't like vice city shouldn't be allowed to touch a games console.

GTA:Vice Ctiy was a kickass game that has revolutionized the gaming industry. A game so brutal that both my parents grounded me when they saw me playing it. A "Rated R" type of format and plot that would make George Lucas "creme in his pants." Likes include the graphics, in-text display routes, an imaginitive story-line, hilarious characters, and quality first-hand electronic figuration of a movie-like standard. Dislikes are it needs to have harder missions, a better selection of vehicles (although the helicopters and the sea-plane were a nice touch), a bigger choice of buildings to go into, and a bigger setting (should make it perhaps 6 mediterranian cities that you need to take a helicopter or a sea-plane to get to), and maybe make it possible to go in a real plane at the airport, (or at least a dodo plane with wheels to make it possible to land and take off on the ground). Game creaters have outdone themselves...BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

First I'll tell you what I didn't like.The city should have been made larger.The graphics could have been smoother and maybe you should have been able to play in 2 cities.Other than that"THIS GAME DOMINATES ALL OTHERS"I don't know what people that don't like this game expect,but the storyline is sweeet and the weapons are sweeeter.What makes this game even better are the motorcycles and more secrets.I already can't wait for GTA4.I suggest that they don't rush it though because of glitches.

Anyone who says that Grand Theft Auto Vice City is anything less than a 10 is stupid. yes it seems like it is an add on from GTA3, but if you think about it, there wasnt much new things rockstar could do to improve the game. adding motorcycles and helicopters was a definite plus, as well as allowing you to enter buildings. this is definitely the best game out there.

Sorry, but this game is overrated. Instead of actually making missions tougher as the game goes along, the policemen just get increasingly "magic." At three stars a cop open the door of your vehicle as it is in the proces of flipping over. At four, a cop can pull your helicopter out of the sky. Your allies die too easily; your enemies are next to impossible to kill.
This is no game -- the rules are skewed in favor of lazy programmers who, instead of making interesting missions, just set the rules on a sliding scale directly proportionate to the number of stars you've got.
Here's an experiment: get a car capable of making good jumps. Run north on the main highway of the second island, and jump the concrete ramp that'll take your car over the biker bar and into the leather jacket shop. Now, get a couple stars, and MAKING SURE NO TIRES ARE POPPED, do the same jump. Try it again four, five, and six stars...
You'll notice that, the more stars you've got, the more your car reacts as a heavier and slower car.
It's a crock.

Vice city is a great game. The freedom you have in the game is also great. Missions are fun. Lots of jokes in the game. There are some glitches but you can get over that. There is an endless possibilite in what you can do in vice city. It makes you feel as if you were in the 80's. Overall the makers put alot of hardwork in this game. Best game so far. Gta 4 will be amazingly better but for now vice city will keep you glued to your seat.
