Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a friggin' awsome game! |
| Brody Goodswimmer from Alberta, Canada says (27/Jan/2003): |
Vice City is one of the best games ever made (I think so). You can cruise around on motorbikes and in sweet cars. You can also buy a strippers club and get a lap dance, they don't actually strip though (darn!). Vice City is way better than GTA 3 because you can do better stuff like fly heli-copters, drive boats, shoot out peoples tires, fly airplanes like the skimmer, etc. That's just some of the cool things in Vice City because there's too many good things to talk about.
|
vice city is super great |
| mr v from England says (25/Jan/2003): |
vice city is a super great game the graphics are exallent the game play will last you for a hell of a long time but the one downfall is that you can only fly one plane which is good but its not enough for most people who play this game, other than that every thing else is great, plenty of cheats can be used lots of killin including blowing peoples heads off with snipers, hand guns etc... Now you know why i gave this a 9 star rating it super duper!
|

| Kevin Miller from Hazard, Kentucky, USA says (22/Jan/2003): |
This my friend is the best game that I have ever played. I mean nothing else compares to this spectacular game. GTA Vice City is a really fun game it's really going to be hard to beat it. Anyone who is reading this that has not played this game then not to be crude but, what the hell are you doing? Please go purchase and play this game you just don't know what you are missing. Thanks to all the guys that put this game together everyone done a spectacular job.

yea, GTA:VC is pretty lame |
| Assmaster from Illinois, USA says (22/Jan/2003): |
Grand Theft Auto Vice City is a pretty lame game (as the title suggests). It's basically an add-on to the 3rd one but this time you can do more exciting things such as fly crappy heli-copters and, this may come as sort of a shock, you can now go inside buildings(gasp*)! Wow! The only decent things in this game is the storyline and the mortorcycles. The game will have you hooked for about an hour or two but then it just gets boring. I suggest that if you want to try this game out, rent it. Otherwise, it's just a waste of 50$

THE BEST!!!SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!! |
| Da LeThAl MeXiCaN from MD,USA says (19/Jan/2003): |
10 out of 10!!!How could you give it anything lower?!? The game was challenging, fun, and exciting! You could buy a lot more that you could in GTA3.The motorcycle rules!!The weapons were awesome as well and the missions were GREAT!So many places to go and so many places to buy..not to mention interactive environments!!You finally get a helicopter in the air! This game is the greatest game I have EVER played! The few graphic glithes make no difference in my rating because there were VERY FEW glitches which made NO difference to me.THE BEST!!!DEFINITLY INVEST IN THIS GAME!YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!!

Great but Glitches |
| chris from rohnert park, ca says (19/Jan/2003): |
GTA:VC is a kick ass game, I can't say its not. The missions are fun, the dialogue is killer, but the problem is glitches. I have gone into buildings that you just cant go into. I think Rockstar pushed this game out to early, they could of done alot more on the visual smoothing. I played GTA3 the other day, and the graphics looked cleaner. I just hope GTA4 will be better, and they take pleanty of time to fix the glitches, like the one when you are walking down stairs and whoops you accidently stub your toe!!! what is that all about? Or the those rampages that you have to blow up cars, and then no car even shows up until the last 10 seconds of the rampage. I just think rockstar could of done alot better, if they didnt put it out so rushed, but tahts my opinion.

GTA:VC, One of the best games EVER MADE!!! |
| Edward Martin from Hookstown,PA,USA says (12/Jan/2003): |
Alright, im here to prove my point. This game rocks!!! Some of you may still prefer GTA3, but this game has some stronger points. Some of the little things: Boats sink when blown up! Some people have roller blades etc. There are a lot of new things, different clothes, asset properties, helicopters, FLYING planes! and motorcycles! Some stunt ramps have been made for motorcycles and them only, plus, the cheat codes are good too. car's can drive ON WATER-L1-O-R1-L2-SQUARE-R2. It is so cool, the tires turn on there sides and hover over water. The police have gotten better at thir job, the duck behind their cars, lay out spike strips, and blow out tires.
There are also more cars, my favirite car is the Sentinel XS, because of the loud hard compress engine. One of the only problems is that with the better driving on, cars tend to really flip out, LITERALLY! The graphics are just...WOW...Clear and sparkling oceans, the fire isnt just like an orange blob as in GTA3, you can blow heads off of people...even when they are DRIVING!! I thought it was pretty funny that you can actually talk in this game, like some of the quotes were: "Honest cop, it was that guy over there","I was with your wife last night", and "If you don't like my driving, GET OFF THE SIDEWALK!!."
The asset properties are great, you get extra money off of them: Output:
Boat Yard: $2000
Malibu club: $10000
Inter Global Films: $7000
Cherry Popper Ice Cream: $3000
Pole Position Club: $4000
Print Works: $8000
Sunshine Autos: $4000
Kaufmann Cabs: $5000
Vecetti Protection: $5000
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creation of a Genius!! Except for Bugs.... |
| Famey from Malaysia says (11/Jan/2003): |
Certainly one of the best games around. If you've played GTA3,you MUST play this one. Why?
Motorcycles.
Now GTA have motorcycles. And Rockstar games has done a great physics work on them so that they don't feel like "Small cars". I prefer riding motorcycles cause you can shoot at your sides and your front.
Bigger City.
Vice City is like, more than twice the size of Liberty City in GTA3.You will have a great time exploring and lookin' for hidden objects.
Weapons.
GTA3 have 12 weapons but GTA:VC have 40!!
New Move.
You will be able to kneel.Providing more accuracy and enemies can't shoot you easily. This game has a long lifespan. I'd say about 9/10. Voice acting is great and makes the characters sound like real mafia/gangsters. More radio stations are added (can only be listen when driving/riding a vehicle.) But nothing's perfect. This game really has some frustrating bug cause sometimes, the mission fails is because of these bugs. The enemies not only can "see" you wherever you hiding, they're also very impressive gunfighters cause they can shoot you through walls. But don't get me wrong, this a great game!!

A Wonderful Game of Wit, Cunning, and Bloodshed |
| Ian King from Dearborn, MI USA says (11/Jan/2003): |
GTA3 was a monumental title that took a flegling PS2 and turned it into the biggest, baddest platform around. Ever sence, gamers in record number have flocked to this series for good reason. The Rockstar team is devoted to briging us more of what we want along with the subtle nuances found only in the best games around. GTA:VC will not dissapoint any fan of the series, but for thuse of you who haven't played GTA yet, play GTA3 first. GTA:VC literaly blows the doors of the old one.
The latest GTA leaves the gloom and grime of Liberty City behind, insted going to the sunnier and even seedier land of Vice City. The new city with all it's lights, lead, and ladies may belittle players at first, but you will soon be on your way to ruling all of it. However the road is full of bumps and twists, the plot of the latest GTA is nearly as twisted as the criminals you will be working for. On that road though are some of the best looking sports cars around, rarley will you find yourself settling for a station wagon.
As new and creative GTA3 was, GTA:VC improves vastly upon it, even though many things have been duplicated. Things like Taxi missions, hidden packages, and Ammu-Nation can be found in VC. There are plenty of new things to do, like airplanes and helicopters. You'll get used to them fast and wonder how the heck you ever did without them. Weapons are as useful as they are plentiful. Each one never seems to be out dated or just not useful. Even though the old sniper rifle and pistol will gather dust after their more powerful counterparts arrive, well, that's what pedestrians are for.
One of the best traits of GTAVC is the overwhelming diversity. There are so many things to do that you may have to make a list! Everything from the landscape to the incredable and funny diolague is spot on. That's another improvement. GTA3's radio was innovative and it's cinemas were superb, but GTA:VC has put them to shame. 80's style. An overwhelming number of 80's songs ranging from really good to ludicrisly cheesey add immencley to the ambiance. The cinemas, commercials and talk radio stations are brimming with houmor, though some people may not catch some of the 80's refrances.
GTA:VC is simply a wonderful game any mature gamer must own. Everything about it is simply perfect. Though some glitches exist, they can easily be avoided by the wise gamer. This is a game that has gone above and far beyond the call of duty. Thank you Rocksatr, this game rocks; 80's style. Good enough game. |
| Game Reviewer from Chicago, USA says (11/Jan/2003): |
GTA Vice City is a good game. But there are way too many flaws in the game. For instance, if there isn't a cop within a mile of you, how do they know you killed someone? Another thing is that all of the cars are like styrafoam boxes with wheels. They all flip when you turn. Another thing is that the game takes forever to beat. After you complete all the regualr missions you have to do a bunch of asset missions. One good thing about the game is that money actually plays a role in the game. The game doesn't feel like a sequel, it feels like an "upgrade". I say that this game is actually a downgrade. I don't know why you walk around in any buildings but a few. The game is incredibly easy as far as missions go, but the asset missions very hard. The people on the streets in this game walk like supermodels, even the men. The graphics in this game could be improved upon, but they are still good. I say that GTA 3 is a much better game.

Best game I have ever played!!! |
| Johnny from Kentucky, USA says (2/Jan/2003): |
Are you one of those people that like to shoot stuff in a game and run over people and such? Ever played Grand Theft Auto 3? Well you will absolutely love Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Graphics: WOW! I have to say that the graphics of the game are fantastic. Scenery: All the bright lights and the feel of the 80's on the game is great. All the new weapons and cars are a big upgrade from Grand Theft Auto 3. The story line is very interesting and i would give the game an overall 12 out of 10 =)

Grand Theft Auto :Vice City=The Bomb!! |
| Acy Cardenaz from Hamilton,USA says (2/Jan/2003): |
This game is the Bomb so what if you can get hit by bullets through walls and if you get hurt just walken so what I mean deal with it you big babys. Only a few people can beat it in one day that shouldnt make you change your mine about getting it. Its worth every penny ok. Its also got better things then GTA3 like motorcyles, airplanes, helicopters, dirt bikes. Its got good codes like you can float on the water with cars the cars you can get like the sabre turbo the hot ring and the blood ring a hearse awsome looking jeaps the ones with the engine in the back, golf carts in GTA3 you couldn't get any of the things I said I think and the weapons are awsome the chain saw, sword, mini gun like the one in Terminator 2, smoke bombs, grenades you can detinate your self, and all of those reasons and i mean aaaallll of those should make you buy this game its so cool.

Great Game Needs More. |
| A gamer from Yuma,AZ says (2/Jan/2003): |
OK, GTA:VC is definatky a great game and is probably among the best games ever. but I was a little disapionted because it only took me a week do beat it. the game has a lot of content but it is still not enough gamplay and its the same stuff over and over. the creaters have the right idea but they just need better quality gameplay. I hope that the next one is better and something a little newer.

This game makes me want to hurl! |
| Gamer 4 Life from USA says (31/Dec/2002): |
Ok lets get down to it gamers! The first thing that i noticed in this game is that the enviroment in the game is not even real. ok let me explain, people in the game look fake, they walk around for days straight. You never see them go to there house and sleep or even watch TV. Another thing that upsets me is at night you never see any shooting stars all you see is a moon. Sometimes I would like to make a wish and have all the cops dissapear. alright gamers I know im giving it a harsh rating, but come on the game isn't real enough for me. I want to play a game that isn't fake. I want to play a game that is so real, I can do what ever I want, a game where I can have my real house in the game. where I can go into my room and play video games, that are suppose to beaten in a month ,but beat them in a couple of hours. Now that would be a very realistic game and grand theft auto doesn't even live up to it. neither is any other game that is going to come out. I spend every minute i can spare, playing video games. If a game can be beaten in a couple of hours , either i am a big nerd that is sickly obssesed with video games, or they didn't spend enough time making the game. Obviously, they didn't spend enough time making the game because I only play video games, when i don't have anything better to do.

| Sarah from Liverpool says (31/Dec/2002): |

The best reason to buy a Playstation 2!! |
| Blood wings from gosport, uk says (30/Dec/2002): |
I played GTA3 for ages and loved it and this is a worthy successor. the gameplay is pretty much unrivalled and the plot is pretty ludicrous yet believable and absorbing. The graphics a pretty sharp with minimal glitches. One thing that really annoys me tho, is the inability to swim. however, the radio stations now make up for that with the addition of decent music and a rock station! Digital Poetry in motion, i think!
