Vice City is by far the best $50 I've ever spent! Everyting that they did wrong (not that it's a lot) they fixed in this one and then some. Every character is rendered to perfection, the lighting is beautiful, every car is bad a$$, and the little extras in the game round everything off to a well put together game. The satisfaction that I get when I shoot someones head off through the windsheild, blow out someones' tires, or finding the mini games makes this a great game. Plus, it's really cool running over 100 people to 99 red balloons and all the other 80's songs they put on the sound track. The design of the people, the song list, and the cars make you feel like you're in the age of helmet hair, hot pink, and bad taste. By far this is the best game ever!!!!!!!!

GTA VC is a great follow up to gta 3. There are so many improvements, you can shoot through car windows, shoot out tires, fly helicopters and planes, ride motorbikes and go inside buildings. The graphics are better then gta3 and if u go press start and then go to the display option and turn trails off, the graphics improve dramastically. Although the main storyline missions are shor, to complete the game 100% is gonna take awhile. The reason the story is so short is because the game is so large its much bigger then gta3 and theres more weapons, cars side missions, and you can buy property, i dont think there was much more room for more missions. I do think they should have just put 2 disks so they could have made it longer but then there would be to much changin disks. All in all gta vc is a great game and anyone should buy it.

When I started playing, I was in disbelief at the incredible improvements. Everything was more detailed, and the interior locations were a great idea. Going on a mad killing spree in North Point Mall is a blast! The game is awesome! One Suggestion: Make a game arcade in the mall; every mall has one. You know, just throw an air hockey game in there or something as a mini game in a game arcade or be able to go into Mitch Baker's bar and play pool or walk into love fist's studio and listen to them jam or something. Just some extras they could've spent a couple of extra hours on though, no big deal. And even with the guide, I can't seem to find one I keep missing and 1 unique stunt! 98%! The game is still great though and EVERYONE THAT CAN SHOULD GRAB A COPY!

This is a shootem up, blow em up, screw em up game, and the treatment you get for your spare time is great. you can have a lot of properties and assets. gives you the feel of taking over Vice City.The little movies are great, actually gives you a feel for your purpose, and you can understand how serious it is. Ray Liotta did a marvelous job. who needs movies when you got this game. play your own movie. We need more games like this.

this is one of the best games i have ever play. the graghics are good, the sound is good, the radio stations are awsome. V-Rock is the best. this game is well worth the money! anyone who says different is either a liar or isn't smart enough to play the game. vice city is great!

This game (I know so many people are saying this) is the best game out on the PS2. Yes it may have a few glitches such as your motor bike getting stuck in the ground, loseing energy for no reason and cars disapearing. But with a game as large as this of course your going to have a few glitches. GTA4 will challange even the most experienced gamer. Their is so much to do, you have your main mission, but you can also deliver pizzas, drive taxis, fire engines and police cars. It has a very good story think Goodfellas crossed with Cassino, Heat and for that matter every other gangster movie out there. Some gamers find it dawnting at the prspect of having to look for 100 hidden packages to be able to recieve 100%, but it isn't excatualy hard considering you find most of them while on a mission or just messing about. The main attraction of the GTA serious has always been to me the fact that you don't have to do what the missions tell you to do, there are mulitipul ways to do each mission. And what other games lets you run around an enormous city doing what the hell you like with a multitude of weapons and veahicles (cars, motorbikes, hellicopters, boats and planes) at your disposal.
I love this game you will too the only reason I haven't given it 10 is because some of the missions can get a bit frusstraiting at times, the cops seem to be every where and you no longer get money for blowing up cars.

this game is almost like GTA3 but in here there is better graphics but they didnt change that much.Well using a bike is good and all those new cars and the helicopter but this game is to easy it didnt take me that much time to past it. Well the next version i think they should have little kids and youngster because in this game all they have is old people and adults also it be good if they have bicycles and people with Dogs ont he street just like you see in real life and he should be able to sleep like show a scene and whenever you turn it up..he wakes up..that will be a perfect game in this game i give a 7 out of 10 oohh an also lol their hands..they suck so i wish they make better graphics and more cars and a longer game.....well the game its ok...its worth it but it could be better..

I thought the game totally rocked and I think it should get 2nd place in game of the year...First place should be Final FantasyXI The thing is it is almost exacly like GTA3 except better because you can fly helicopters and go into buildings I would give this game a 9 out of ten on all subjects.

Ok, to start off, I'm gonna say this is THE BEST game EVER on the PS2. The graphics are a 9/10, controls are 7/10. There is a LARGE variety of cars, bikes, and helicopters. Each of the 2 islands in GTA VC are as large as all 3 of the GTA 3 islands. Now, for some of the people out there who think this game had SOOO many glitches, let me give you the logical answer, ok?
1. Cars disapear while in a cut scene. The answer to this is that, well, you arent the only theif, killer, or car jacker in Vice City.
2.Some say that you can finish this game in 6 hrs. Well, don't trust these people. They only did a SMALL fraction of the whole game. If they wanted a whole 100%, they would need to:
A. Find ALL 100 packages
B. Buy ALL Properties and Assets
C. Complete ALL of the Propertie's and Asset's Sub-Missions
D. Get All secret abilitys by getting 100 fares in Taxi mode, 100 kills in Vigalante, 100 fires extingished, 100 people saved in Paramedic mode and so on.
3. some say that you can only have 1 of a certin weapon ex. flame thrower or Rocket Launcher. It's true but, WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE USING CODES!
4. This is the last I've heared about, Geting hurt while walking. This is NOT a glitch. How about you people try sprinting up stairs while looking straight ahead with out falling!
All in all, this is a GREAT GAME. GET IT!!!

This game is great. I never thought Rockstar could come out with a sequal to be compared with gta3, and then Vice City.I admit I was a little overwhelmed when I played it. So much to do,so much to see. You get to do what you want, where you want when you want. I thinkthe gameplay of Vice City is what makes it so popular. No other game(besides the other GTA games) can top the gameplay and quality of thsi game. Though I give this game 10 out of 10, it coulduse some impovemants. Like I think every inch of the game should be accecable as soon as you start the game. I also think a wider variety of cars should be added. There should be at least 500 varieties of vehicles. I would pay 70, 80, even 90 dollars for the next game in the series. In the next 10 or so years, I see GTA 15, 16, 17 and so on still selling millions of copies. Final Fantasy, eat your heart out.

This game is everything that a sequel should be.
Bigger, better, louder etc.
Remember when you sat round GTA3 with your mates saying:
"oh, it'd be better if you could..."
Well now you can.
Helicopters? Yep.
Motorbikes? Yep.
Shoot people in cars? Yep.
Pop tyres? Yep.
Go in building? Yep.
So, all I can say is f you loved GTA3 (who didn't?) go buy Vice City now. If you didnt like GTA3, stay well clear and go back to Age of Empires or whatever it is you people play.
Oh, I guess I should jump on the bandwagon and mention the music, graphics etc.
Yeah they're better, but you don't notice them, you're concentrating on outrunning the police cars howlnig behind you and avoiding the stinger infront of you.
Buy this game, your mates will want to come round more, you wont want to sleep or go out.

I've completed all missions, all rampages and got 97 hidden packages, and now I'm bored. The game is short compared to GTA3 and I find the graphics to be better in GTA3. The bikes, the helicopters are cool, but it just dosen't have the feel or the excitment that GTA3 has. To sum up GTA Vice City from somebody who as almost completed it is this, I bought GTA3 and was never off the game for months (still haven't completed it yet) then I bought GTA Vice City, played it for 2 weeks (every night) and now I bored, don't get me wrong it's not a crap game or anything like that, any GTA fan will love it but it will never be as good as GTA3

Grand theft auto Vice City is the best game since socom. Better graphics, better storyline, more realistic. After grand theft auto 3 i thought rockstar had reached its limit but they took it one step higher. Now there are way cooler features like flying the damn dodo and even flying an apache helicopter. This game is worth your money and time. There are porn stars and everything. Its much easier than gta3 and cooler. You got chainguns and automatic shotguns. Dont forget the 150 cars buy this game and you'll see its worth your green!

this game wasn't all that good. I almost finished the game 100% in 6 hours. even though you think this game is perfect its not!. somethins you gun will refuse to fire, most of the time vehicals will disappear when you enter a cutscene. cars will randomly diappear. tommy will lose life for no reason when just walking around. Cops seen to sumhow bust you when you 400 feet high in a helicopter! last enimes seen to be able to see you and shoot you through solid objects, whats up wit that? or you fail a mission because he hurt himself/herself running down a ramp! there were a few bugs in gta3 but they didn't affect gameplay as much as in gta:vc. sure you like the bikes, helis, and plane that stays in the air but the reast of the game is sorta bad. who wants to look for 100 hidden packeges? takes like hours! the rampages are fun but not all the stuff you have to do. Now the really bad! you can only have 1 of each kind of weapon! i liked in gta3 you could have the flamethrower and rocket launcher together, but in vice city its flamethrower or rocket or minigun or the M60. the graphics of the game were improved very little. this game is fun the first couple times then it just gets boring!the music in the game isn't all bad.

Come on guys, it's not THAT bad. Could be worse. I'm definitely enjoying all the new weapons to choose from. The missions are more exciting, the graphics are better...this has so much going for it. The way you can change your clothes for a mission, how you save a game, the bikes... It's so much more challenging too. It's very hard to make any money! I've been playing this game for hours now and I still love it!

I agree with many of the reviews here, only the positive though.
One other aspect about the game is great, you donīt complete
the game right away and then put it aside. Even if you get 100%
itīs always a pleasure just to drive around and for example
go beserk in many MANY different ways.
So this game is worth every penny, and you could almost say
itīs cheap if you compare the gametime to many other games.
(For example DONīT buy "Headhunter")

When i got this game i thought it would be totally different from gta3 but all it is, is a crappy version of it set back in time. Sure the game was fun while i could still do missions but halfway through the game you get bored and i can't stand it anymore. All you do in the game is kill people and there isn't really a plot at all. The best thing that happens in the game is when you buy the film studio and watch the porn star bounce up and down and then after that its a piece of crap, and even to that its animated so its not even that realistic.

I liked this game because it has many possibilities for gameplay and the difficulty is better than GTA3 because it gives you a better feeling of realism. I think the cops could be a little more difficult because like other people have said they would bust you if you ran lights or swerved in and out of lanes. The army is ok but i think they should also be improved because they wouldn't just drive the tanks into you and blow you up, they would fire the cannon they have at you and they could do like they did in GTA2 and have the tanks as a roadblock and fire at you and that would make having 6 stars harder because I can out run the army for so long with out cheats or bribes that it gets boring. The army needs a helicopter to come after you just like the police do and what the French had when you had to defend Cortez that would be cooler than anything. I have one thing about the cars and that is that they got better in the muscle area but it would be cool if in the future they make a GTA with old classics kinda like the AC Shelby, the Mustang etc.

Vice City is the really awesome. There is so much to do. So much to see. Its huge. The only suggestion i have is that...the storyline was dissapointingly short. Even though there are PLENTY of things to do after you finish the storyline, i felt it should have been much much longer. It was about 1/3 of the length of GTA3. Also i dont like the whole concept of being able to carry one of each type of weapon. Now i cant have a flamethrower and a Rocket Launcher at the same time. Oh well. This game kicks ass

I really enjoyed it almost as much as GTA3. Hell, sometimes more, sometimes less. It does have it's original points like being able to buy houses, businesses, etc. I think the biggest problem I had with all the purchasing is that in order to complete the game, you had to buy certain places, some of which aren't exactly the most obvious. Then when you bought one of the businesses (The Strip Club to be exact), I just happened to stumble across how to turn it into a profit generating business. I did have a load of fun playing it, especially now that you can fly around, which is something I wish had been included in GTA3. For a real kick, fly around in the Hunter(??). It's basically an Apache helicopter, complete with chain gun and what I'm assuming are supposed to be Hellfire missiles. The best thing is that you can use it for the Vigilante missions, but it is a little difficult to use accurately. I did think it was a little short when compared to GTA3, but all in all just as much fun. I'm definitely looking forward to GTA4.
