WOW, great game, the improvements are the motorcycles and the helicopters, and the vigilante missions with the tank!!!i would have paid anywhere from 70 dollars to play this game however, in my mind, the best way to improve on it is to give us total access, every building, every shack, every boat, right from the begining. But that is just me. I love it, i play madden, tony hawk, smackdown, hitman, the best games, but at 2 oclock in the morning, nothing makes my day like a little vice city.

Overall,I'm still debating on whether I like this or GTA3 better. Yeah you can get helicopters,motorcycles,go in buildings,but soemthing that made 3 good was the environment,the dark and crummy city versus this nice Miami Beach. 3 was dark,it just seemed more fun. Vice City though...if not for the tunes I'd havin given this game a 9.5 if I could. When you can blast a guy in the head with a sniper rifle,then take his car...listen to some Run DMC or some Cutting Crew,drive to your garage,take a cruise around in a helicopter,visit your strip clob you recently bought,then end it all with a nice demolition derby(for those of you who didn't know,wait until 20:00 then go to the front doors of the arena to join an event)you really can't beat that...

I'm 17 from the great US and I think that GTA4 is a good game the FUN FACTOR last FOREVER, and the blood looks a little better but could use some work i think. I think that the guns and stuff is a lot better and THE LEVEL IS MUCH BETTER THEN GTA3. I do think that they did put a little more sense in the little pepole running around. Well I think that the missons are alittle time consumeing and when you die or get arrseted, there is a taxi that would take you to the bosses place. I see one thing missing and that is a country station. I THINK THAT IT IS A GREAT GAME IF YOU THOUGHT GTA1 GTA2 AND GTA3 WAS OK. It is a game worth buying....

I must say, I'm very pleased with the new additions to the game. I also like the fact that it's a little harder and more challenging than GTA 3. The cops are definitely alot smarter and tougher. They actually duck and hide behind things instead of just running into your bullets. I also like how the main character, Tommy, actually has more character in this game. The missions are alot more fun I think. The only missions I find a little annoying are the remote control flying missions. More weapons in this game, definitely a plus. The magnum, the automatic shotgun, and the laser site sniper rifle are some of my faves. I also love how you can actually acquire property. Like when I got Diaz's mansion, I was like, "sweet". The one thing I think would be a great addition to the next GTA would be 2 player split screen, so you and your friend could like play with each other or against eachother, that would be awesome. Well overall I think this is a great game. I definitely recommend it.

I'm only 10. I saw this game in electronic boutique and instantly bought it. I had looked at the other reviews on this site and knew i would love it. I took it home, popped it in my Ps2 And was amazed by how good, excuse me, AWESOME it was. What could be more fun than Running around stealing Any car or motorcycle, even Scooter. Then do some drive bys then get chased by cops, hop into a ferrari, run over some innocent people, and if youre good enough have the FBI, then army try to stop you!
Graphics ****** out of ten
Forget this i give the rest 10 out of 10!! Ireccomend this game to anyone.

This game has too much stuff in it. I liked GTA3 better then this. The game is in the 80's and I didn't like that. The graphics are average and the aiming is bad. I think this is a bad game and you should not get it!

Vice City is the best GTA. Figures and backgrounds are more detailed, but people are still blocky. Overall, Vice City is fun regardless of the missions. There are plenty of new toys to play with, and the cars are dramatically improved. Go and get this game!

Comming from someone who was here in Miami in the '80s and still lives there now ... this is as REAL AS IT GETS...From the masculine voiced bikini clad beach-goers to the layout of the city itself, I feel like I could really sight see Miami in a video game. I could list the numerous landmarks and hotspots (I work at a mexican resturant on South Beach like the one in the game)to the neon facade of Ocean Drive.
For those people who complain about the cops in the game...they drive the "old" style patrol cars and are dressed like the FL state troopers, but they are as fast as the real thing (trust a local) and just as insulting. Finally...cursing is allowed without a cheat!! What a plus! Car handling was changed a bit,I believe ,for more realism. Miami streets are tight and NO ONE DRIVES WELL ENOUGH TO COMPLAIN! Rockstar has a definate hit! Best game EVER! I dropped playing THPS;4, HALO(Xbox), and Timesplitters 2 to obsess over GTA:VC. From one resident of the city this game is modeled after to the rest of the world....Super FAB soundtrack(although should have had an all Michael Jackson radio station)$$$...but the historical tie-ins to GTA3 is a nice, familiar feeling. Long Live Lazlow....Tha Pimp wid 'da limp! Now all I have to do is be patient 'till GTA4 comes out.

Vice City is the best fighting game out. Grand theft Auto Vice city shows much improvement in graphics, weapons, and vehicles than gta3. The new motorcycles,boats, golf carts, helicopters, and new muscle cars.One of the best things about vice city is the ability to enter certain buildings and buy and rob stores. this game is going to be the all time best selling game.

Why do people not like a game simply because it is difficult? I wish people would quit complaining about the cops being too hard to deal with in GTA: VC. I think the difficulty for the police is still too LOW! For example, let's say while im driving home from work tonight, i run every single stoplight in full view of the police. Or say i weave in and out of traffic on the highway at high speeds, barely missing other cars. I would quickly be pulled over and arrested. In GTA you can run as many stoplights you want to, ramp off a parking garage, or run full speed into a building, leaving your car a burning hulk in the middle of the sidewalk without any involvement from the police. Of course the cops are going to beat you up and arrest you if you hit somebody, or shoot your gun in public, or punch a cop. Their job is to react when you do something wrong. And besides, the cops are SUPPOSED to be hard to get away from. Rockstar totally blew me away with the level or realism in this game. This is just a small reason why i believe GTA: VC is the best game i have ever played. The realism and atmosphere in this game rivals no other. You almost totally believe that you are the character you control. And of course if you want to cheat you should. GTA is fun, but it is more fun with the chainsaw. If you want to play a fun, easy game go dust off Duck Tales for the NES.

Play this game for just 15 minutes and you'll understand just how much better it is than any other Ps2 Game out there. That covers everyone but even more for lovers of the GTA series, if you liked GTA 3 you'll friggin piss your pants when you play vice city. New cars, you can jump out of moving cars and in midair, you can shoot people that are in their cars, theres a whole new rang of weapons and even better a vast new city to explore. Remeber when u start to turn off the trails in the options menu their fluckin horible but other than that its amazing. I almost forgot to mention, remember the plane from GTA 3? welllll theres a new plane and its actually flyable for more than 8 seconds with little or no practice. Also an awesome soundtrack with over 70 licsensed songs.

You can't base a game in the 80s without at least mention of the Miami night club scene. This game oozes style in that department. The controls are tighter than GTA3 (regardless of what everyone says). A bike shouldn't ride smooth as a car and a car that's wide and low rides better than a huge Blazer lookalike. The various missions are detailed and bring you into Tommy's life of crime more and more as you progress. If I had any complaint it's how much the Haitians annoy you. The interiors were a nice addition and the way you couldn't get a quick buck from blowing up a car is fantastic. All in all this is a much better game than GTA3 and it seems like a testing ground for some ideas that could be perfected in GTA4. Interiors were a test in my mind, not a final product. Good but not perfect. Same as the rest of the game. Cept the voices. Burt Reynolds and Dennis Hopper and Ray Liotta and on and on and on. The characters even resemble their real life counterparts in a way. Great stuff folks.

This game was more than i expected it has more cars,weapons,and missions than GTA3 and any other game ive played.if u dont have it i highly recomend it. All of the music is real exept the talk shows.The new cas include Helicopters, Motorcycles, more Boats, and more Cars. Also u can stil get the hidden packages. if u get all 100 packages u can get a Rhino (tank) or a Hunter (Military Helicoter that can shoot rockets or machine gun ammo). There r still stunt bonuses and u also now can do wheelies and stoppies only on motorcycles. The police are harder to outrun but they r fun to mess with. The dumbest thing to do in this game is to run from the cops on a motorcycle because ifu hit a car or any other vehicle hard youll fly off your and lose some health. If you want some cheats go to Gameshark.com, but if u get gameshark cheats u only need to use Infinite Health Because it works for your armor too. I told you all i could for now but ill make another review once i beat the game. Good luck onthe game ad hope this gave u a little info on the game.

Rockstar really went all out on this one. Bad ass story line, cool characters, awesome 80's signature cars, motorcycles, flyable helicopters and more! Not to mention the broad range of weapons, the ability to break things other than someone's face...its definately a 10...the only thing missing? Construction equipment...course, maybe I havent found it yet!

Dude I'm all about the 80's and most people that buy this game know nothing at all or very little about it but thats ok. Overall this game rocks, the cars, and all the cool stuff you can do plus the sound track is just awsome everything from Ozzy to nena,Toto, Cutting Crew even some 2 Live Crew! so many great bands like Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Anthrax you just can't get any better then this :). Well all you lil 90's and 2000's punk ass kids can piss off ya bloody wankers cause the 80's owns joo. It looks great and I do agree with some the handling is kinda weird but I guess i'll get use to it. I was mostly just happy that it was based in the 80's the years of my childhood. Just listening to the way people talk and dress its a trip to see that stuff again. Iron Maiden they have put 2 songs in 2 games in under a month or so. First on Tony Hawk 4(number of the beast and you can play as Eddy!) and now gta vice which i think thats really cool. Its a great game everyone go buy it if you like the 80's and you like to kick alot of ass! 80's ROCK AND ROLL FOREVER....

First of all, damn everything that I was expecting...Rockstar pulled through. Let's begin with graphics, a much better improvement...though still a little blocky, there are way more things to see in Vice City. The buildings are better detailed, the light effects are out of this world, and the vehicles are a sight to see. I believe the frame rate is much improved over the last game in the series...notice how Tommy's shirt flaps in the wind while riding the motorcycle...cool! The sound is great, if you have surround sound or a decent system the sound is just flawless...Let's move on over to lifespan, there are a lot of things to do in Vice City, more missions, more side missions, more mayhem and killing, so I would say this game is totally replayable time after time. This game is so fun to play, you will never get bored. A lot of new factors contributed greatly to this fine piece of software...Tommy talks, there are actually places for you to buy and earn money from, earning money is more realistic, there are tons of vehicles including boats and helicopters...which is a blast to fool around with. The greatest addition is the motorcycle and doing stunts with them...whoa what a thrill. The game is more vulgar than the previous game, so that is why little kiddies are not suppose to be playing the game (that is why it is rated M for MATURE) so there that subject is closed. All in all Rockstar has done it again and has not disappointed one bit. I still play GTA III and will still be playing GTA: VC. Rock on Rockstar!

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is, in my opinion, the best game ever made. I know the game's graphics aren't exactly the best, but I have so much fun playing the game that I don't even think about it. When GTA3 first came out, I thought that was the best game ever, but GTA Vice City makes it seem very lame in comparison. I like the way the main character actually talks and has a personality, unlike that nameless thug in GTA3. I also like the fact that you can buy property, fly helicopters and planes, drive motorcycles, and store more cars. The selection of weapons is also great, much better than the selection in GTA3. I can now use chainsaws, hammers, screwdrivers, even a Japanese Kanata. It's also fun popping cars' tires and destroying cars with hammers. There is also a much better selection of boats, like power boats, sailboats, rafts, and some boats from the previous game. There are cars in GTA Vice City that there were in GTA3 such as the Perennial, Stallion, Securicar, Flatbed, Idaho, Esparanto, Landstalker, linerunner, Mule, Yankee, Coach, Pony, Rumpo, Banshee, Infernus, Stinger, Cheetah, and more. It's interesting seeing what these cars looked like in the 80's. The bottom line is that this game kicks ass, and for those of you who rated it below a ten, may I suggest a catscan or seeing your doctor.

I got GTA Vice City the day it came out. I even hastled a guy from a game store the day before trying to get him to give it to me earlier. The graphics are the same. The cars are a lot faster and cooler looking. I really like the fact that you can steal bikes in this version. The reason I say it can be better is because they could have added animals. Dogs, cats, and birds would have been neat. I also think that you should have been able to have a 2 player mode. GTA Vice City is by far the best game ever greated....but Rockstar hasn't really upgraded the game that much more than GTA 3. Hopefully, GTA 4 or whatever it will be called next will really knock my socks off.

Vice City is possibly the best game released by Rockstar Games. The cars are great, modeled after lamborghinis, ferraris, and Hondas. My complaint of the cars is there are no new cars in the second island. The guns are great, but there are too many different cheat codes to get them. Vice City is massive because of all the different things to explore. The helicopter on top of the mansion is great, but goes slow. All in all, Vice City is good, but the next game of GTA i think will correct all the mistakes Rockstar Games made this time around.

I just got my game today. I own every GTA game made to date. I am a true fan of the series. This game was incredible. It had some great graphics. The 80's music was lame but fit since the game takes place in the 80's. I am not done with the game yet but I will continue to play until I have 100 percent. And then I'll play some more. I think maybe the coolest thing of this game is how they incorporated younger characters from GTA 3 like Donald Love. And one of the missions is familiar to one Love sends you on in 3. Now we know how he learned to be a businessman. This is the game I have been waiting for and it beats my expectations. I expected it to be good but with all the new features. Lots more cars. Lots more guns. Things you can fly (including a helicopter and seaplane that can land in water). Also there are missions where you drive remote controlled cars, planes and helicopters. It is still impossible to get them to respond the way you want. Moreover, you get to change outfits. My only complaint is the difficulty still of steering the boats. What more can you ask for? NOTHING in my opinion. The best game out as of yet. Possibly, the best game PS2 will ever release. So if you're a fan of the GTA series do yourself a favor and buy Vice City today.I thi8nk u shoukjfh
