GTA3: Vice City is the best game I've ever played! | | Mike from Stafford, UK says (11/Jan/2004): | "GTA3: Vice City" on Playstation 2 is well worth the money. It is a combination of Gran Turismo (a racing simulation), The Sims (on the PC) and GTA one and two. All the best games around, in one!
Only thing missing is the fact that you cannot make your character interact socially with members of the public. For example, you cannot chat up a sexy bird on the street (like you can in The Sims). The only interaction there is here, is with a weapon! Like slicing the birds head off with a sword! :-(
The cheat codes make the game even more exciting. One cheat allows you to reduce gravity (which makes your car fly into the sky if it goes really fast). Another allows you to get a free Rhino Tank - which builds up the money in your bank balance fast, if you follow the tank missions. Another good one is you can make you car drive on water. Drive to the other half of the city when all the bridges are still blocked. I just wish there was a cheat to get rid of the police for good, because the sound of the police helicopter can be really irritating.
Apart from that, it's ace. 10 out of 10.

The graphics arn't that great, they are pretty crappy if you ask me. The gameplay isn't too bad. You can play the game without doing much and you won't get tired of it. I guess there are many neat things that you can do that you couldn't do in GTA 3. In Vice City you can drive motorbikes, sweet sports cars, fly helicopters and buy a strippers club. These are only a few great things that you can do. The game has a lot of missions so it will keep you stuck to the television all day. There are also cool things that you can unlock. I'll let you figure them out on your own. But now, Vice City is getting old and you gotta buy the new games. I recommend that you people buy Need for Speed: Underground. it's a kick a$$ game. This game has it all. You get cool vinyls, decals, spoilers, front and rear bumpers, side skirts and get NOS(nitrous oxide). Unlock level three NOS to get a maximum speed burst. It's sweet. The gameplay is very fast and when you hit the nitrous button, the screen blurs just like in real life. There are many kinds of races like drag, sprint, circut, and dift. If you get your car a level five reputation, the fans will love it. I started the game with the Mazda Miata. It;s a pretty sweet car but it;s not the fastest. The fastest is the skyline. But you can't start with that car but you'll unlock it later on in the game. Well anyway, GTA: Vice City is an alright game and I recomend that you add it to your collection.

The reason for my opinion is because I had the game now for over a year and still play it at least 6 hours every day: and thats while going to school and working. The story line is grate because you have to so many missions you have to accomplish that are all spectalcular and hard. To me the harder the missions the better. The graphics are awsome, there far better then what I thought they would have been. The cars, motorcycles, airplanes, and helicopters are all fun to drive, the army helicopter being my favorite. The guns are awsome, I love the spaz shotgun. The cops are also fun to make mad and have them chase you. The city is also cool. I love the landscape of it all. It is very beautiful at night time and the citizens are funny. I still cant belive how good this game is. I will never get rid of this game. It is my favorire game off all time and I know a lot of people agree with me. Rockstar keep up the work and keep giving us more Grand Theft Autos. Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooner or later people have gotten sick of the boring limitations associated with most games, like crime and transport, and admit it, when you were a child you probably dreamed of a game based solely on doing WHATEVER YOU WANTED TO DO, murder, drugs, prostitutes, monopoly, racing, aviation..........my fingers are soar! This game is a kick in the arm for all other first person and driving simulations on the current market, cause they fail to hit the spot that both GTA games have reached, which is to fully satisfy the customers needs. And to give Vice City 10 stars is being awfully mean, a game of such velocity deserves a hell of a lot more. But one thing that needs to be changed is the weird movie-like imagery throughout the game which sort of blurs the graphics up a little, i dont think thats needed. But when a game like Vice City is the bomb that it is, why is improvement a necessity? I sure hope a GTA5 is in progress cause the Grand Theft Auto phenomenon is still only a baby. I take my hat off to Rockstar.

The Cars are awesome and the cities are the BOMB!!! But the GUNS are the best part of the game! Its fun getting to blow off heads and watch what happens especially in the army base when your not wearing the uniform, you can kneel behind stuff and avcoid getting shot especially using a sniper rifle! I think that if I could change it I would only have to change a bit like have more planes that are real that you could fly and I would change it so it would allow people to go into actual stores and buy clothes or mp3 players and it would have a selection of characters to play. (Besides using skin cheats.) It's fun causing chaos by riding around in a tank or a hunter (helicopter) and blowing up stuff like cars or people. Once you get all the hidden packages the game gets even better because you can get more weapons at your hideouts. My favorite weapons are the 8-milimeter Uzi and the sniper rifle, But out of all I think this game is best when riding the motorcycles up ramps.
This game is the BEST EVER you should buy it right away!

There were cops to the left of me, decapitated civillian to the right and here i am stuck in the middle of a war zone. Any way this game will last a lifetime who could get bored of kicking Vercetti ass.Graphics are top notch. And the radio stations and bullets flyin from the end of ure gun sounds surreal. The only thing i would want to put in the game is where u have a huge garage and ure own house. Which u live in. U can phone mates and have anight on the town. Get your car keys off the hook and grab a burger 4 ure family.Also a part where u can go downtown and buy food shopping stuff 4 ure wife and kids drugs and the usual guns and melee weapons. Also u can have affairs with other women that u meet in a saucy wine bar.
Cool eh!
When u buy this same though u will be surprised at how good it is. It should be £20 and platinum by now.

Great game, well, I'm here to rate it anyway, on everything. So here goes:
Story 10/10:
Best story your going to get on a crime sim of this scale. Absolutly amazing. It has a deep plot involving drugs dealing, theft, murder and betrail with some amazing action in between. It's the best storline yet. Just get it for the gangster plot line. Why not?
Graphics 7/10:
Ok, they're less than perfect, but who honestly cares? You don't abandon a great game like Vice City over graphics!!! As long as a game doesn't have cheap PSone graphics, who honestly cares? I'm not even going to include this in the reviewers tilt...
Sound 10/10:
The radio, the pedestrians, the gun noises, the cars bumping, all realistic as wot!!! Thanks to all the effort GTA hasn't sounded better!!! Great stuff!!! And the voice acting just adds to it! Tre Magnifico!!!
Lifespan 10/10:
Complete the long, deep, hard plotline, then realise you have to get all the secret packages, do the paramedic, vigilante, taxi and firefighter missions, then buy all the property. Then it'll be 100% and it's not easy by any means. Then do it all over again, honestly without using cheats. :)
Overall 10/10 (duh):

First there is only action when you have 6 stars, you cant run some one over and say "what action". Second the missions are get a package and deliver it here and there, maybe theres like 20 missions where you are supposed to kill someone. Third Graphics are horrible, they also tried to make Graphics realistic when your driving fast and everything gets blurry around you. Fourth very glitchy game. Fifth weopons are horrible, they all do the same things but one shoots faster than the other (exepth the shotgun, flame thrower, and RPG) they could have added a gun with a secondary mode for it. Sixth whats the use of a sniper in the game you cant be stealth. Seventh its not my kind of game.
