Ok, to start off, I'm gonna say this is THE BEST game EVER on the PS2. The graphics are a 9/10, controls are 7/10. There is a LARGE variety of cars, bikes, and helicopters. Each of the 2 islands in GTA VC are as large as all 3 of the GTA 3 islands. Now, for some of the people out there who think this game had SOOO many glitches, let me give you the logical answer, ok?
1. Cars disapear while in a cut scene. The answer to this is that, well, you arent the only theif, killer, or car jacker in Vice City.
2.Some say that you can finish this game in 6 hrs. Well, don't trust these people. They only did a SMALL fraction of the whole game. If they wanted a whole 100%, they would need to:
A. Find ALL 100 packages
B. Buy ALL Properties and Assets
C. Complete ALL of the Propertie's and Asset's Sub-Missions
D. Get All secret abilitys by getting 100 fares in Taxi mode, 100 kills in Vigalante, 100 fires extingished, 100 people saved in Paramedic mode and so on.
3. some say that you can only have 1 of a certin weapon ex. flame thrower or Rocket Launcher. It's true but, WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE USING CODES!
4. This is the last I've heared about, Geting hurt while walking. This is NOT a glitch. How about you people try sprinting up stairs while looking straight ahead with out falling!
All in all, this is a GREAT GAME. GET IT!!!

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is, in my opinion, the best game ever made. I know the game's graphics aren't exactly the best, but I have so much fun playing the game that I don't even think about it. When GTA3 first came out, I thought that was the best game ever, but GTA Vice City makes it seem very lame in comparison. I like the way the main character actually talks and has a personality, unlike that nameless thug in GTA3. I also like the fact that you can buy property, fly helicopters and planes, drive motorcycles, and store more cars. The selection of weapons is also great, much better than the selection in GTA3. I can now use chainsaws, hammers, screwdrivers, even a Japanese Kanata. It's also fun popping cars' tires and destroying cars with hammers. There is also a much better selection of boats, like power boats, sailboats, rafts, and some boats from the previous game. There are cars in GTA Vice City that there were in GTA3 such as the Perennial, Stallion, Securicar, Flatbed, Idaho, Esparanto, Landstalker, linerunner, Mule, Yankee, Coach, Pony, Rumpo, Banshee, Infernus, Stinger, Cheetah, and more. It's interesting seeing what these cars looked like in the 80's. The bottom line is that this game kicks ass, and for those of you who rated it below a ten, may I suggest a catscan or seeing your doctor.

Ok lets get down to it gamers! The first thing that i noticed in this game is that the enviroment in the game is not even real. ok let me explain, people in the game look fake, they walk around for days straight. You never see them go to there house and sleep or even watch TV. Another thing that upsets me is at night you never see any shooting stars all you see is a moon. Sometimes I would like to make a wish and have all the cops dissapear. alright gamers I know im giving it a harsh rating, but come on the game isn't real enough for me. I want to play a game that isn't fake. I want to play a game that is so real, I can do what ever I want, a game where I can have my real house in the game. where I can go into my room and play video games, that are suppose to beaten in a month ,but beat them in a couple of hours. Now that would be a very realistic game and grand theft auto doesn't even live up to it. neither is any other game that is going to come out. I spend every minute i can spare, playing video games. If a game can be beaten in a couple of hours , either i am a big nerd that is sickly obssesed with video games, or they didn't spend enough time making the game. Obviously, they didn't spend enough time making the game because I only play video games, when i don't have anything better to do.

This game rules the only problems are some places you cant go in unless you buy them and a funky story mode but I like the drivebys in the game I switched costume to granny and I took a gangsters car he threw me out and was beating me and I said didnt yo mama teach you some manners I kung fu granny won! Yah granny rules and I like busting into the jail all the cops after me jump on a table and I say, Say hello to my little friend with a gatling gun and blow there guts out I got this game quite awhile ago Its pretty fun I hit the lady at the bar and she took a machete and sliced me and I took a katana and said two can play at this game dice! her head flew off and when the cop kept coming to life I was like dont you learn how to die and I choped his head off! katanas arent very good for cop chases suggesting because you have to jog over there while tons of cops are shooting you or F.B.I. but if its slice kill and run that rules I like killing people and taking there cars I took a guy in a car since he stayed in and flung him into the ocean This game is rated 9/10 from me I reccomend you buy this game Goodbye so long!

This game only needs one thing and that thing is geo mod. A geo mod allows you to blow holes in buildings and streets etc... Otherwise its the best game on the market. When I first got it I was facinated with the graphics and all the things you could do such as blow out tires shoot people in the car when your outside of it. One of the best things about Vice City is the new vehicles. I really like the helicopters and the motorcylcles. There is one other thing this game could use and that is you should be able to ride the motorcylcle with the sword and cut people on the way when your driving. If you have this game you should consider yourself grateful for having such a GREAT GAME! I LOVE this game. You can cut peoples heads off with the sword or you can shoot it. One thing I like to do is get infront of a car and make it stop then get the sniper gun out and shoot the drivers head, they will fall out of their vehicle with no head but its not over just yet in a second or two there will be a fountain of blood coming from their head. There is one other thing I like to do and that is to jump on the old looking trucks ( I call them farmer brown trucks LOL)get in the back and blow out peoples tires with the laser sniper gun. If you have this game you should try the things I just said.

I just got my game today. I own every GTA game made to date. I am a true fan of the series. This game was incredible. It had some great graphics. The 80's music was lame but fit since the game takes place in the 80's. I am not done with the game yet but I will continue to play until I have 100 percent. And then I'll play some more. I think maybe the coolest thing of this game is how they incorporated younger characters from GTA 3 like Donald Love. And one of the missions is familiar to one Love sends you on in 3. Now we know how he learned to be a businessman. This is the game I have been waiting for and it beats my expectations. I expected it to be good but with all the new features. Lots more cars. Lots more guns. Things you can fly (including a helicopter and seaplane that can land in water). Also there are missions where you drive remote controlled cars, planes and helicopters. It is still impossible to get them to respond the way you want. Moreover, you get to change outfits. My only complaint is the difficulty still of steering the boats. What more can you ask for? NOTHING in my opinion. The best game out as of yet. Possibly, the best game PS2 will ever release. So if you're a fan of the GTA series do yourself a favor and buy Vice City today.I thi8nk u shoukjfh

Comming from someone who was here in Miami in the '80s and still lives there now ... this is as REAL AS IT GETS...From the masculine voiced bikini clad beach-goers to the layout of the city itself, I feel like I could really sight see Miami in a video game. I could list the numerous landmarks and hotspots (I work at a mexican resturant on South Beach like the one in the game)to the neon facade of Ocean Drive.
For those people who complain about the cops in the game...they drive the "old" style patrol cars and are dressed like the FL state troopers, but they are as fast as the real thing (trust a local) and just as insulting. Finally...cursing is allowed without a cheat!! What a plus! Car handling was changed a bit,I believe ,for more realism. Miami streets are tight and NO ONE DRIVES WELL ENOUGH TO COMPLAIN! Rockstar has a definate hit! Best game EVER! I dropped playing THPS;4, HALO(Xbox), and Timesplitters 2 to obsess over GTA:VC. From one resident of the city this game is modeled after to the rest of the world....Super FAB soundtrack(although should have had an all Michael Jackson radio station)$$$...but the historical tie-ins to GTA3 is a nice, familiar feeling. Long Live Lazlow....Tha Pimp wid 'da limp! Now all I have to do is be patient 'till GTA4 comes out.

Well when I first bought Vice City I thought it would be the greatest game in the world, and in some parts it was. The game has good use of freedom, so if you see it you will probably be able to travel there. But the main thing that I thought that let it down, was the mindless violence. I mean you know when you walk down the street holding a chainsaw and slash someone, the blood spatters everywhere and that is not well animated, it just sprays everywhere. That chainsaw stuff, as you may not have reliesed when you are brutally skin shredding someone is called MURDER, that's right dirty old MURDER. This game does have a good lifespan, but how many times do you wanna walk up to someone with a UZI and pack 'em with lead, you see that the cops come after you, so you jack a car, then your in even more trouble.The sound I would give a 4/10 because when I'm tired of the violence I can just chill out in my Infurnus listening to the radio. The game is original but that won't save it from being the most overated piece of violence I've ever seen. The graphics don't push the PS2 to It's best ability. The game may be good value if you like wasting money, but for most people it's a rip off. If you have any sense don't buy this game, maybe just stick to Britney's Dance Beat.

The new Grand Theft Auto is almost exactly like #3 of the series. It's got everything that 3 had, only a few more additions. You get a few extra (cooler) weapons, a few surprises in the automobile department (motorcycles, even hellicopters you can fly). Also, it seems that Vice City has more of a pulse than Liberty City from GTA3. Liberty City was a little too plain and...well...boring. Vice City graces us with a cool 80's feel...lots of flashy neon lights, and you can even go into some shopping areas, malls, night club, strip clubs, stores... you name it. Well, I've pretty much pointed out it's strengths...which would pretty much be the entire dang thing! The only weakness...(and by weakness I mean a struggle for the first month or so) would be the controls. If you're in a heated battle between the authorities or even civilians... it can be somewhat of a difficulty to control your character and to be able to fight people off. ...Or maybe it's just that the game isn't that easy. Enough rambling, I wish I was allowed to review this with a few sentences...cause thats all that it needs. If you've played Grand Theft Auto 3, enjoyed it...and got a craving for some more of the same dang thing...then Vice City has your name written alllllllllll over it.

Alas the sequel from GTA3 has arrived!! Grand Theft Auto:Vice City be thy name!! The missions rock, the weapons kick ass and you can't get bored of killing the nation! Thus the Fun Factor being 10/10. The graphics are good but you can make it look clearer when you turn trails off(On options). The sound of the game is reallistic and is like music to my ears! The gameplay is just immense and you could NEVER tire of it. I mean I have never met someone who can actually get either mad at or bored at this game. There is enough of the game to last you a lifetime and the fun just never seems to end. The controls are easy and I can't really fault the game. I find this game much better than GTA3 but I don't know why GTA3 sold many more game than Vice City The cheats are good and can help you through the game but I didn't need them. I mean this game was bloody hard but you can tackle it. The 80's Style just rocks and suits the game well. The only thing that GTA3 has that GTA:Vice City is a decent a storyline. GTA3 was definately a classic but just doesent match up at all to Grand Theft Auto:Vice City.
Overall this is a brilliant game and deserves 10 stars. I love This game!!!!!! Also anyone who says this game is rated 1-5/10 is talking out of their ass.

Gameplay-the gameplay is awesome and there is everything to do
and the island is huge.i give the games gameplay a good rating
because the cops this time are very hard, but it iis usually cooler for a good challenge, but when i played i didnt like the cops dificulty, it was annoying, you do one thing wrong and here they come beating the crap out of you.but the gameplay is very fun sometimes.
Graphics-graphics are greater than gta 3 not perfect like in hitman 2 but better than gta 3's graphics were. The cars are very detailed.with so much varieties to choose from.very good graphics.
Missions-pretty kool missions but again long and dificult,most time you will have to do them over and over again it get boring.
But the missions are a good challenge and pretty fun to play for a while.
Fun- the game is an ok game, with way much stuff to do than gta 3but i rather stick to playing gta3, but if you like dificult games you will like vice city.
Overall rating- i gave this game a 8 because the simple fact that the dificulty of the game makes people eager for cheats.
I see almost everyone in chatrooms that are complaining about the dificulty and how much they hate the cops.this game is ok but not as good as everyone said it was going to be.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City is one of the best detailed and noticed games in the world.Since its release in 2002 it has sold over 2000 copies worldwide! It has alot of fast cars and slow cars and alot of people which are dressed differently since the last gta they have made alot of improvements, e.g in gta:3 all of the taxi drivers were the same but in gta:vice city they are all different! Rockstar games worked well on this game to make it the Top game for over 5 weeks!! But as soon as harry potter and the chamber of secrets come out it went straight to the top nicking Gta's top place! Gta: Vice city has been rockstars best game after winning the game of the year awards in 2002, it also has its own soundtrack, own screensavers and desktop items!! In November 8 2002 Gta was released all over europe, and in november 5 2002 it was released in northern america! Gta:Vice city is really a simple game (you just get used to the controls which nearly everybody new of gta:3) once youve complete it and bought all the buildings you can buy youve done it and you can cruise around in your luxury cars!! you can even go in the hotring and do the dirtbike tracks and the car rallys, and you win money!! Undoubtably one of the best games released for PS2 in 2002!

this game wasn't all that good. I almost finished the game 100% in 6 hours. even though you think this game is perfect its not!. somethins you gun will refuse to fire, most of the time vehicals will disappear when you enter a cutscene. cars will randomly diappear. tommy will lose life for no reason when just walking around. Cops seen to sumhow bust you when you 400 feet high in a helicopter! last enimes seen to be able to see you and shoot you through solid objects, whats up wit that? or you fail a mission because he hurt himself/herself running down a ramp! there were a few bugs in gta3 but they didn't affect gameplay as much as in gta:vc. sure you like the bikes, helis, and plane that stays in the air but the reast of the game is sorta bad. who wants to look for 100 hidden packeges? takes like hours! the rampages are fun but not all the stuff you have to do. Now the really bad! you can only have 1 of each kind of weapon! i liked in gta3 you could have the flamethrower and rocket launcher together, but in vice city its flamethrower or rocket or minigun or the M60. the graphics of the game were improved very little. this game is fun the first couple times then it just gets boring!the music in the game isn't all bad.

First of all, my one dissapointment in Vice City was the poor graphics and lack of speed and reality in the physical fighting. In GTA3, locking on to a target, firing, and locking on to another target was quick and precise vs. Vice City having delayed targeting, off precision, and basically poor quality, ex: fist fighting. I feel that they did not take as much time in complete solid and "smooth flowing" graphics and went straight to more content(not that that is a bad thing.) Another dissapointment I had with Vice City was the overall driving, I feel that it was way too easy to roll your vehicle given the fact that the cars were not all that fast. Im sorry to say, but I would drive the Banshee from GTA3 ANYDAY vs. Any car from Vice city. As for the missions in Vice City, I think they could have been: Longer, Harder and Better...period. Yet, I APPLAUD the Creators of the game. Everything I thought would have made GTA3 better, they created in Vice City: Real songs on the radio, better looking cars, Hotter Chicks, better weapons ex: Chain Saw(my favorite!) and dont forget the Helecopter, THAT is what everyone wanted, and that is what they got. BRAVO!! GTA:Vice City is a Masterpiece!!...(so how about an encore!?!)

vice cits is litterally the best game to hit the shelfs in 2003-2004, vice city is a must have for all game buyers/collectors you have got 2 admit it its AWESOME. the thing i like best in the game is that its like another world and u can do practically anything u want, from robbing to taxi driving, i think that the best vechale in tha game has got be the hunter (army chopper) although it may hav its disadvantages like the weakness it also has major advantages like missiles and m60 powered machine guns and also the easiest vigialty missions (brown thunder) also there is a lot of senery like the light house on ocean beach, airport, ocean, babes (even no their cartoon anime characters, but their still hot) or you can just chill at the malibu club or get a lap dance at the pole positions club(wen you have purchaced it) .
gta 3 vive city is a must hav for all gamers....
p.s. cant wait for gta4 san adreas. all that i know about it is that their are children that u can hold hostage and that their is a theme park(go 2 the army base and face the enterance and then turn your back to the enterance and then look across the road on a billboard there is a advertisment on a theme park thats the one im talking bout)

Rockstar contiues to overwelm the public with 10/10 graphics. The game itself is worth its retailed price and consists for hours of fun and concentration for days on end. The graphics can be better by triggerring about with the options and makes it more clearer.The sound is realistic and in my living room with dolby surround, you feel your in the game yourself. The time when vice city is set is just right were the city comes over the gangwars of hippies druggies cubans and others were Tommy has to fit into some at places in the game and become involved in the warfare. the overall for this game is brilliant and i would recommend this game to anyone who likes some juicy action and blood on their screen. I like this game because is was of a few that i really spent all my time on and went further every day. The cars in it are brilliant because they copy cars such asd lamborghs, porshe's, ferraris, land rovers and bmw's.
The game can be completed easilly by cheap cheats but i choose to do it the hard way and make my moneys worth but once I have got 100% done i began to experiment with various cheats. the game still is contantly warm from my console drive. the cheats that you can get are brill!

i love playing grand theft auto vice city everyday when i get home from school. i like playing it because it is so realistic and fun. i like going around the islands and robbing all the stores, especialy in the mall. i also like stealing the hunter from the army base and shooting down other planes and helecoptors with the missles. another thing that i like doin in grang theft auto vice city is throwing the coctails at stores and at cars and people. the only thing that is missing in grand theft auto vice city is that your gang does not have something that every other gang has, and that is a gang car. grand theft auto vice city would be the perfect video game if your gang had its own car that they drove around every place that you own. it would also be cool if you could pick your gang members clothes and weapon. one other thing that is wrong with the game is that you can not break the glass on all store windows, such as some stores in the mall and on the pizza place, ammu nation and on the tool stores. over all, grand theft auto vice city is my favoirite of all my playstation 2 games. in the next grand theft auto game, i hope there is a hummer with the same style as the h2 is in real life.

this game is the best game in the world and there is nothing like it. the new san andreas will be off the hook cause every other grand theft outo is and will be the best game ever this is the best game franchise in the world.DID YOU KNOW that you could that you could jump out of the light house window and that you could shoot birds and you could zoom in on the sniper rifles andyou could do so many things on this game that it is amasing thank you to the people at rock star productions for giving us a great game maybe the next one could be grand theft outo philadelphia and you caould have this one gang that is called PTH or the penntown hustler cause thats where im from and if you do deside to use the is idea you have you make a street called 7st case in the real philly penntown is on 7 street and you have to make anotheranother street called green street down pentown. also another territory called ra or richard allen and you have you have to have brown st and 10 st and ra and pth have to be withen one block of each other but they will have to be 2 diffrent places but if there is another squad that is messin wit one place then they both come together and just ride it out together.

i havn't completed the game yet coz i have just got it last week i am 76% through it and i will tell u 1 thing it is magnificent wit the graphics and the music and how they all tlk it is 1 of the best games i have bought in me life it is miles better than gta 1, gta london, gta 2 and gta 3. coz the graphics man are just mint i recomend it to other people to buy it in the near future coz it is $#< remove me > at !ing mint i rate it 7 coz they could have done it a bit better added more weapons on it like a m16 or a bazzokkaa i recomed it to a 18 to a 20 yer old no 1 older coz as ya no old people like car racing or $#< remove me > at !ing boring $#< remove me > at ! like whirl tour a $#< remove me > at !tie scooter game for the people who didn't no that so as i said the games is absalutally mint so i recomend it to u if u have the game enter this cheat for a laugh course loads of mahem so the wanted level goes up to 1 or 2 and when a police car comes enter the lower wanted cheat and quickly jump on the bonet of the police car and shoot loads of people and all of the other police men shoot the police car and not u the cheat for lower wanted level is (r1 r1 o r2 up down up down up down) it is really fantastic just like the game it self
