GTA3: Vice City is the best game I've ever played! | | Mike from Stafford, UK says (11/Jan/2004): | "GTA3: Vice City" on Playstation 2 is well worth the money. It is a combination of Gran Turismo (a racing simulation), The Sims (on the PC) and GTA one and two. All the best games around, in one!
Only thing missing is the fact that you cannot make your character interact socially with members of the public. For example, you cannot chat up a sexy bird on the street (like you can in The Sims). The only interaction there is here, is with a weapon! Like slicing the birds head off with a sword! :-(
The cheat codes make the game even more exciting. One cheat allows you to reduce gravity (which makes your car fly into the sky if it goes really fast). Another allows you to get a free Rhino Tank - which builds up the money in your bank balance fast, if you follow the tank missions. Another good one is you can make you car drive on water. Drive to the other half of the city when all the bridges are still blocked. I just wish there was a cheat to get rid of the police for good, because the sound of the police helicopter can be really irritating.
Apart from that, it's ace. 10 out of 10.

| Best game ever made in gaming history! | | Daniel from Harlingen,Texas, USA says (6/Dec/2004): | i heard how good this game was from friends then i finally dicided to get it myself and WOW was this a great buy or what?!?! the graphics are great, the cheats are awsome, and i just love the whole thing. one thing i do hate is the unremovable cheats....ppl, wut ever u do dont put this cheat in: R2,R1,X,triangle,X,triangle,up,down,o,L1,down,L2,left,X,R1,L1, right,X....it cannot be removed!!! one of my friends gave it to me as a joke. this cheat makes random ppl on the street attack u...not very fun, i cant even stand still anymore. i love the cars the handling tales a little to get used to but once u do u could be amazed with what u can do in them. i havent gotten to play san andreas yet but ive heard good things bout that too...better graphcis, huge playing area, ect. my fav gun in vice city has to be the pistol u get in the 2nd and 3rd weapons cheats, closely followed by the automatic shotgun. the only thing i havent figured out is how to get the helicoptor with the guns and rockets.i cant think of the name of it but i will right after i close this thing up. ok i just wanted to give everyone this little bit of insight...so see ya!
| the very best! | | Giselle from new york, usa says (21/Aug/2004): | i liked it. you cant really shoot someone in real life so its fun doing it on a game.it should be more realistic though, like children or animals. there should be open buildings so we can rob people. and the cops over exagerate too much. i mean they see other people fighting and they dont do nothing and u hit someome and there already beating the crap outa you. there should be more clubs and bars. diferent people and more stores or markets and places to explore that are actually open.moe radio stations. some people might think its a violent game and it is sometimes but its fun cutting peoples heads off. i think there should be more missions and more enemies. and tommy should have his own personal gang following him around every where killing people who even touches him that way hell be safe.in the mall there should be more open stores to steal from and atual stuff to take and to be followed for.its a very fun game to play when your angry. lol. i think its much better than GTA3 beacuse theres more possible things to do. just because im a girl, guys think its wierd that i like a game like this but its fun for any 1.

Motorcycles.
Now GTA have motorcycles.And Rockstar games has done a great physics work on them so that they don't feel like "Small cars". I prefer riding motorcycles cause you can shoot at your sides and your front.
Bigger City.
Vice City is like,more than twice the size of Liberty City in GTA3.You will have a great time exploring and lookin' for hidden objects.
Weapons.
GTA3 have 12 weapons but GTA:VC have 40!!
New Move.
You will be able to kneel.Providing more accuracy and enemies can't shoot you easily. This game has a long lifespan. I'd say about 9/10. Voice acting is great and makes the characters sound like real mafia/gangsters. More radio stations are added (can only be listen when driving/riding a vehicle.) But nothing's perfect. This game really has some frustrating bug cause sometimes, the mission fails is because of these bugs. The enemies not only can "see" you wherever you hiding, they're also very impressive gunfighters cause they can shoot you through walls. But don't get me wrong, this a great game!!

Didn't feel very realistic, did it? Rockstar have just kicked butt again by bringing out the fourth installment for Grand Theft Auto focusing hard on Vice City. There are a lot of mission available for offer and enough ammunition, blood, people, crooked cops and cars to satisfy any criminals needs. The grahpics have taken a giant leap making scenery as realistic as possible and making you feel more part of the game and its characters.
I ensure you, if you start playing this game, you won't want to put your controller back down. You will be literally addicted to it like a drug. If you own it or haven't bought it, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO AND PLAY IT RIGHT NOW! STOP READING THIS AND PLAY IT!!!

i`ve already beaten the game and erased it to play it again that`s how gta crazy i am! ur parents might hate it but you`ll love it really.another reason to play is to enjoy yourself with riding around in a hot car loving the views and sights of beautiful people and pretty light of ocean beach.

The Cars are awesome and the cities are the BOMB!!! But the GUNS are the best part of the game! Its fun getting to blow off heads and watch what happens especially in the army base when your not wearing the uniform, you can kneel behind stuff and avcoid getting shot especially using a sniper rifle! I think that if I could change it I would only have to change a bit like have more planes that are real that you could fly and I would change it so it would allow people to go into actual stores and buy clothes or mp3 players and it would have a selection of characters to play. (Besides using skin cheats.) It's fun causing chaos by riding around in a tank or a hunter (helicopter) and blowing up stuff like cars or people. Once you get all the hidden packages the game gets even better because you can get more weapons at your hideouts. My favorite weapons are the 8-milimeter Uzi and the sniper rifle, But out of all I think this game is best when riding the motorcycles up ramps.
This game is the BEST EVER you should buy it right away!

The graphics are ordinary but the originality is something. GTAVC is great for those who don't mind sitting at the console for a few hours playing the game. The voices of the characters bring out personality and feeling, which is a rarity in most games I've played. It's a pretty fun game to play if all you like to do is mess around. The missions are well done and some are quite difficult to accomplish, which makes this game quite a challenging one. I haven't played GTAIII, but this game seems okay. It has the ability to keep you hooked and is entertaining if you are willing to delve within the very game itself. The one hundred hidden packages aren't very easy to find and you also have to ability to choose way over twenty-five different weapons and arsenal. The motorcycles make the game even better, and the pedestrians say the funniest of things. Overall, GTAVC is a pretty decent game and is a must-have for any Grand Theft Auto fan out there. The graphics, however, could have been better.

Overall this game rocks, the cars, and all the cool stuff you can do plus the sound track is just awsome everything from Ozzy to nena,Toto, Cutting Crew even some 2 Live Crew! so many great bands like Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Anthrax you just can't get any better then this :). Well all you lil 90's and 2000's punk ass kids can piss off ya bloody wankers cause the 80's owns joo. It looks great and I do agree with some the handling is kinda weird but I guess i'll get use to it. I was mostly just happy that it was based in the 80's the years of my childhood. Just listening to the way people talk and dress its a trip to see that stuff again. Iron Maiden they have put 2 songs in 2 games in under a month or so. First on Tony Hawk 4(number of the beast and you can play as Eddy!) and now gta vice which i think thats really cool. Its a great game everyone go buy it if you like the 80's and you like to kick alot of ass! 80's ROCK AND ROLL FOREVER....

The graphics totally amazed me; the vehicles gave it that extra boost in fun gameplay.
Helicopters? Brilliant! Nothing better than having an aerial police chase - especially using the "Hunter" as a getaway vehicle.
However, I was a bit surprised with the storyline. I didn't really feel there was a primary storyline to this game. Therefore it seemed like none of it made any sense.
The only positive aspect of the storyline for me was that there alot of tension and suspense, also it wasn't as predictable as the GTA3 missions.
Sure there's alot of glitches, but we're talking about an 'enormous' game here, not some "Crash Bandicoot"
I was also disappointed with the loading time at the beginning when the game starts. It seemed like it'd go on forever.
I was fascinated at the idea of being able to buy buildings, and being able to make a fair bit of money by completing the assets.
I was amazingly shocked at the possibility of being able to go to a high class derby.
Hotring, Bloodring, etc...

Sooner or later people have gotten sick of the boring limitations associated with most games, like crime and transport, and admit it, when you were a child you probably dreamed of a game based solely on doing WHATEVER YOU WANTED TO DO, murder, drugs, prostitutes, monopoly, racing, aviation..........my fingers are soar! This game is a kick in the arm for all other first person and driving simulations on the current market, cause they fail to hit the spot that both GTA games have reached, which is to fully satisfy the customers needs. And to give Vice City 10 stars is being awfully mean, a game of such velocity deserves a hell of a lot more. But one thing that needs to be changed is the weird movie-like imagery throughout the game which sort of blurs the graphics up a little, i dont think thats needed. But when a game like Vice City is the bomb that it is, why is improvement a necessity? I sure hope a GTA5 is in progress cause the Grand Theft Auto phenomenon is still only a baby. I take my hat off to Rockstar.

The reason for my opinion is because I had the game now for over a year and still play it at least 6 hours every day: and thats while going to school and working. The story line is grate because you have to so many missions you have to accomplish that are all spectalcular and hard. To me the harder the missions the better. The graphics are awsome, there far better then what I thought they would have been. The cars, motorcycles, airplanes, and helicopters are all fun to drive, the army helicopter being my favorite. The guns are awsome, I love the spaz shotgun. The cops are also fun to make mad and have them chase you. The city is also cool. I love the landscape of it all. It is very beautiful at night time and the citizens are funny. I still cant belive how good this game is. I will never get rid of this game. It is my favorire game off all time and I know a lot of people agree with me. Rockstar keep up the work and keep giving us more Grand Theft Autos. Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| AWESOME GAME BUT IT COULD USE A LITTLE CHANGE | | Big Man from Loveland,CO United States of America says (2/Dec/2002): | I liked this game because it has many possibilities for gameplay and the difficulty is better than GTA3 because it gives you a better feeling of realism. I think the cops could be a little more difficult because like other people have said they would bust you if you ran lights or swerved in and out of lanes. The army is ok but i think they should also be improved because they wouldn't just drive the tanks into you and blow you up, they would fire the cannon they have at you and they could do like they did in GTA2 and have the tanks as a roadblock and fire at you and that would make having 6 stars harder because I can out run the army for so long with out cheats or bribes that it gets boring. The army needs a helicopter to come after you just like the police do and what the French had when you had to defend Cortez that would be cooler than anything. I have one thing about the cars and that is that they got better in the muscle area but it would be cool if in the future they make a GTA with old classics kinda like the AC Shelby, the Mustang etc.

All of the music is real exept the talk shows.The new cas include Helicopters, Motorcycles, more Boats, and more Cars. Also u can stil get the hidden packages. if u get all 100 packages u can get a Rhino (tank) or a Hunter (Military Helicoter that can shoot rockets or machine gun ammo). There r still stunt bonuses and u also now can do wheelies and stoppies only on motorcycles. The police are harder to outrun but they r fun to mess with. The dumbest thing to do in this game is to run from the cops on a motorcycle because ifu hit a car or any other vehicle hard youll fly off your and lose some health. If you want some cheats go to Gameshark.com, but if u get gameshark cheats u only need to use Infinite Health Because it works for your armor too. I told you all i could for now but ill make another review once i beat the game. Good luck onthe game ad hope this gave u a little info on the game.

Instead of actually making missions tougher as the game goes along, the policemen just get increasingly "magic." At three stars a cop open the door of your vehicle as it is in the proces of flipping over. At four, a cop can pull your helicopter out of the sky. Your allies die too easily; your enemies are next to impossible to kill.
This is no game -- the rules are skewed in favor of lazy programmers who, instead of making interesting missions, just set the rules on a sliding scale directly proportionate to the number of stars you've got.
Here's an experiment: get a car capable of making good jumps. Run north on the main highway of the second island, and jump the concrete ramp that'll take your car over the biker bar and into the leather jacket shop. Now, get a couple stars, and MAKING SURE NO TIRES ARE POPPED, do the same jump. Try it again four, five, and six stars...
You'll notice that, the more stars you've got, the more your car reacts as a heavier and slower car.
It's a crock.
