a good game but after all of the missions are done it becomes extremely boring | | john smallbone from england , essex , harlow says (1/Mar/2003): | gta vice city is a brilliant game when u first play it , its the sort of game that includes every thing such as , driving , action and crime , the missions are quite good but theres not enough of them and they are too easy and once u have done them all, theres nothing to do exept to find the hidden packages , rampages and the unique stunts . The hidden packages are abit too hard to find ( but the rewards are good ) on your own so i suggest u print off a map , the rampages are really fun but also hard to find and the unique jumps r just brilliant . There are a good variaty of weapons but u can only carry 1 of each type which is pretty stupid really but the weapons them selves are actualy quite good . The cars are good and resemble some actual car manufacurers today . The radio stations r really good they include real top name bands such as Gary Numan , the bugles and loads more . the overall gamplay is very good and the game has a pretty good story line , but i still think if u r going to buy this game i think u should rent it first.

The grapics are excellent, although not as good as in GTA3, considering the size and detail of the landscape, sound id original and of good quality and realisticity. (with some funny comments when you nearly run people over!) Gameplay is very smooth, compared to other games of similar genre. Lifespan is outstanding, with so much to explore and do, fun factor is one of the best out of any games, which is suprising considering it's long lifespan. originality is not very good, but it is still very different to other games in it's series. The value of the game depends on who owns it, if you are someone like me, who plays it often, for a long period, it is reasonable value, but if you are looking for a good deal, but don't play it much, look somewhere else. To sum it up, GTA: Vice City is wonderful, with a multitude of challenges, jobs, weapons vehicals and lots more. I recommend it to anyone who likes video games.

It does have it's original points like being able to buy houses, businesses, etc. I think the biggest problem I had with all the purchasing is that in order to complete the game, you had to buy certain places, some of which aren't exactly the most obvious. Then when you bought one of the businesses (The Strip Club to be exact), I just happened to stumble across how to turn it into a profit generating business. I did have a load of fun playing it, especially now that you can fly around, which is something I wish had been included in GTA3. For a real kick, fly around in the Hunter(??). It's basically an Apache helicopter, complete with chain gun and what I'm assuming are supposed to be Hellfire missiles. The best thing is that you can use it for the Vigilante missions, but it is a little difficult to use accurately. I did think it was a little short when compared to GTA3, but all in all just as much fun. I'm definitely looking forward to GTA4.

There were cops to the left of me, decapitated civillian to the right and here i am stuck in the middle of a war zone. Any way this game will last a lifetime who could get bored of kicking Vercetti ass.Graphics are top notch. And the radio stations and bullets flyin from the end of ure gun sounds surreal. The only thing i would want to put in the game is where u have a huge garage and ure own house. Which u live in. U can phone mates and have anight on the town. Get your car keys off the hook and grab a burger 4 ure family.Also a part where u can go downtown and buy food shopping stuff 4 ure wife and kids drugs and the usual guns and melee weapons. Also u can have affairs with other women that u meet in a saucy wine bar.
Cool eh!
When u buy this same though u will be surprised at how good it is. It should be Ģ20 and platinum by now.

The story, the titles, they all bind together and is not just a twisted game like True Crimes:Streets of LA. They say you have to complete all missions for the best ending. I want the ending to be as intended to. I also like how the cops do their job. When they see you do something that are against the law, you either get busted or they will call the SWAT, helicopter, and any backup civils, then you get either wasted or busted. They make it almost like reality. The SWAT and the helicopter, I get the shivers. But let me tell you what's funny. A hooker go and do her thing with Tommy. After they finish, I'm going to either pull out my brass knukles, or my rifle and kill her. But I give this a nine-star because when they are in the car(Tommy and hooker), you don't see them do nothing in the car. All you see is the car shaking and them sitting. Boring. But, the rest of the game was of the chain.

If you think this game is stupid, then you and I would not get along.Most of my friends have this game and have beat it more than once.Just because you've beat it dosen't mean its boring.You can still go on killing sprees to get more money.The graphics aren't the best in the world, but as long as I can tell what everything is, its fine by me. It also has very funny radio stations, such as VCPR.Its really the only radio station I listen to, and it never gets old.Plus the cheat codes are awesome.You can get to the 2nd island without completing any missions with the cars float on water code.You can practicly never run out of ammo for your favorite gun as long as you keep on entering the weapons code.The last mission is really a suprise.Lance and Sonny Forelli were both against you, its a challenge beating them.If I were someone who dosen't have I would buy it now.Especially while you can get both grand theft auto 3 and vice city for under $40.00.

Other thing that was incredible in this game were the bikes, mainly PCG, i love to take a ride at the miami beach running over some people at the sand, or to disguise myself and enter the VCPD and start shooting everyone.
I thing there are few mini games but in general its fine.
The worse thing in this game is that if someone shoots you, the police officer (very smart) will run after you and not after who shooted the gun.
What i would realy like is if we could do anithing else with the beaches, cause we can only ride with them in your car and you have to pay 1 dollar per minute to them.
What i liked is the cab system, cause if you die during one mission you can restart quickly.

This game oozes style in that department. The controls are tighter than GTA3 (regardless of what everyone says). A bike shouldn't ride smooth as a car and a car that's wide and low rides better than a huge Blazer lookalike. The various missions are detailed and bring you into Tommy's life of crime more and more as you progress. If I had any complaint it's how much the Haitians annoy you. The interiors were a nice addition and the way you couldn't get a quick buck from blowing up a car is fantastic. All in all this is a much better game than GTA3 and it seems like a testing ground for some ideas that could be perfected in GTA4. Interiors were a test in my mind, not a final product. Good but not perfect. Same as the rest of the game. Cept the voices. Burt Reynolds and Dennis Hopper and Ray Liotta and on and on and on. The characters even resemble their real life counterparts in a way. Great stuff folks.

I also like the fact that it's a little harder and more challenging than GTA 3. The cops are definitely alot smarter and tougher. They actually duck and hide behind things instead of just running into your bullets. I also like how the main character, Tommy, actually has more character in this game. The missions are alot more fun I think. The only missions I find a little annoying are the remote control flying missions. More weapons in this game, definitely a plus. The magnum, the automatic shotgun, and the laser site sniper rifle are some of my faves. I also love how you can actually acquire property. Like when I got Diaz's mansion, I was like, "sweet". The one thing I think would be a great addition to the next GTA would be 2 player split screen, so you and your friend could like play with each other or against eachother, that would be awesome. Well overall I think this is a great game. I definitely recommend it.

First of all, the gameplay... killing, driving, stealing cars, finding secret objects, yes it's fun at first, but it gets old FAST, since that's all you did in the other GTAs too. And what kind of "man who wants to rule a city" doesn't know how swim?
It's really annoying when you're at a dock you're trying to get back on the road, and while you're running the camera suddenly switches, and you fall in the water... very uncool!
You'd expect much more improved graphics... I tought they were horrible.
The sound is good, everything sounds realistic. And more one-liners from Mr. Vercetty would be much appreciated, hearing the same exact ones two or three times in a row, doesn't make you laugh anymore.
And the replay value... yes... the replay value. There is none! After you complete the game, if you can accomplish that, you wont feel like touching the game, EVER AGAIN! Or at least that's how I felt!

Vice City is a game were you try to take over the city and take care of a few old friends. A game so brutal that both my parents grounded me when they saw me playing it. A "Rated R" type of format and plot that would make George Lucas "creme in his pants." Likes include the graphics, in-text display routes, an imaginitive story-line, hilarious characters, and quality first-hand electronic figuration of a movie-like standard. Dislikes are it needs to have harder missions, a better selection of vehicles (although the helicopters and the sea-plane were a nice touch), a bigger choice of buildings to go into, and a bigger setting (should make it perhaps 6 mediterranian cities that you need to take a helicopter or a sea-plane to get to), and maybe make it possible to go in a real plane at the airport, (or at least a dodo plane with wheels to make it possible to land and take off on the ground). Game creaters have outdone themselves...BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

For instance, if there isn't a cop within a mile of you, how do they know you killed someone? Another thing is that all of the cars are like styrafoam boxes with wheels. They all flip when you turn. Another thing is that the game takes forever to beat. After you complete all the regualr missions you have to do a bunch of asset missions. One good thing about the game is that money actually plays a role in the game. The game doesn't feel like a sequel, it feels like an "upgrade". I say that this game is actually a downgrade. I don't know why you walk around in any buildings but a few. The game is incredibly easy as far as missions go, but the asset missions very hard. The people on the streets in this game walk like supermodels, even the men. The graphics in this game could be improved upon, but they are still good. I say that GTA 3 is a much better game.

I heard some amazing stories about this game and read some reviews about it too. So, I decided to buy it. It was worth every damn Euro!! Man, this game is so $#< remove me > at !in' great!! The game is obviously inspired by Scarface (my all-time-favourite) and the greatest TV-show of the 80's: Miami Vice and it's all worked great. Just the way you want it.
The graphics are awesome, one of the best on Playstation 2. But the best aspect of the game is the sound, without a doubt. A lot of great songs from the good ol' 80's are in the game. Michael Jackson (Billy Jean), Mister Mister (Broken Wings), Brian Adams (Run To You), Jan Hammer (Crocket's Theme). They're all in the game.
For me Mafia was the best game of 2002 but I think this one is going to beat it by far. It's just so fun!! Drive cars, motorcycles, fly around in helicopters and blowing $#< remove me > at ! up, car-chases, this game offers it all!!

Well now you can.
Helicopters? Yep.
Motorbikes? Yep.

Pop tyres? Yep.
Go in building? Yep.
So, all I can say is f you loved GTA3 (who didn't?) go buy Vice City now. If you didnt like GTA3, stay well clear and go back to Age of Empires or whatever it is you people play.
Oh, I guess I should jump on the bandwagon and mention the music, graphics etc.
Yeah they're better, but you don't notice them, you're concentrating on outrunning the police cars howlnig behind you and avoiding the stinger infront of you.
Buy this game, your mates will want to come round more, you wont want to sleep or go out.
