As a big fan of the LOTR movies, it was a pleasure to check out the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers game. As you can see by the reader reviews below, LOTR:TTT is the thinking man's hack'n'slash game for 2002. I'd seriously suggest checking this one out.
On an aside, I also checked out the LOTR Soundtrack (see: SOUNDTRACK) and it's spectacular.

lord of the rings is hard especilly at the gap of rohan.it would be better if you could be elendil,boramir or farimir.the graphics were weird espeshilly gimli with the fat face but they looked wicked.the sound did sound amazing the part in the battle at the begining.the gameplay was hard where you had to dodge the cave troll and you could kick orcs of clifftops.aragorn should have sixty dundein,rohan or gondor arrows like legolas.one time with the strenghth of numeror on aragorn which makes things go on fire I set a warg on fire!!!!!!!!the next game in the battle of pellenor fields in return of the king I bet is gonna be cool!!!!!!!

I knew that L O R T tow towers was gunna be good, not only the game play but the graphics and sound alike, but i would never have emagined how much better it was to my prediction. L O R T two towers is a must have game for people that love the movies.
You will be blown away with this game, 10 out of 10 for me!

the game is alright but the grapics are ok.and the movie has 2 be brillant because the people are just fantastic
and the sound 2 all the game is ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.and some of the levels are hard and easy but i can not wait till the the return of the king game comes out or the movie.

This game was really cool!!! The game play was good and the levals were cool, the bad thing is that it was only one player and it was two short. There should have been more levals and some levals should have been better, like the wolves of Isengaurd
leval should have been better like you and a bunch of people ride on the horses and charge at them like in the movie, also the first helm's deep leval were the orcs come and attak you should have been able to shoot of the wall and hit the orcs, but you also could do what you do in the game already, and the last helm's deep leval were the two cave trolls come in and break the wall you should have been able to play from there and try to protect the main hall, but all in all this game was good.

The game is awesome! I dont like video games at all, that's coz I suck but I bought LotR The Two Towers coz I LOVE LotR!! I am addicted! It's awesome! The scenery is amazing and the controls are so easy. It's also pretty cool that the experience score is so easy to understand! Usually, in other games, you need to be a rocket scientist to understand it!
The characters are amazing and the voices are awesome!!! This is one of the best games made for PS2.
When I started the game I was like oh another rpg but this game has aweosme story line and amazing graphics. Woo Hoo! Finally a game I can uinderstand. Instructions: Slice the Orks in half! I can do that! :)!! ^-^ I'm good at that!! This game is amazing!

After playing the fellowship of the ring my best freind Hannha and i thout that the two towers would be just as boaring but was supper COOOOOOOOOOL i dont understaned how it was 10000000000000000 times better than the fellowship it's something eles what did EA do to the game first you start at the mines of moria then you fight the balrog then to gladrell thne you fight lurts so on so on AT Last my fav part the WARGS well my best part is helms deep i always play as Aragorn the grafics are good im going to start a new game with my eye toy and put me in to the game and be one of the stars in the game dead Coooool.

The best lord of the rings game... one thing they get all the real voice actors for it and the actors from the movies even end up playing the game. i know this because its in the features. the graphics are really good you can see they took there time in makeing this game. Not only that but the gameplay is so good like dante devil may cry good..all the charcters are good so its hard to have a favorate i ended up raseing all of there levels instead of sticking with just one character the place are good and detailed and so r the monsters but the only problem is you cant fight that big flame monster with the fire whips that pulles gandolf of the ege. in lothr1 but maybe you do fight him in one of the secrete levels at the end of the game.If you are a die hard fan ore just like a game with a lot of action and wickid videoclips.the point in the game that did it for me was the level where you have to fight i think his name is barlog the monster that kills that guy in the first movie but the whole game is good.it makes me want to play the lord of the ring the fellowship of the rings but no way can it meet this games standeds ..NOW..I CANT...WAIT..TIL..THE...MOVIE...

At first im playing the game and it's massive hard, sucks at telling you what to do at the begginig. The graphics are good and all but the gameplay is so short. I'd say the hardest level is the helms deep breeching wall. I don't get you people trying to say that it's the best game ever, i have played better ps1 games, i admit the movie cuts are cool and they make it seem like it is in the movie but the bosses are impossibly hard to beat. The only reson the game took me more then 24 hours to beat is because the lamo boss would kill me and then i'd have to keep on doing the lvl over. Theres only like what, 12 lvls, the game is good to rent at blockbuster for $5 but i honestly think i wasted my money to buy it for $50, it isn't worth more then 15. If you want a good $50 game get gta vice city The graphics don't compare very well to lotr:t2t but gameplay lasts much longer. Usually im not much into unrealistic games but some are exceptions, this game barely pasess this line. I rcommend you rent the game first so you know what your buying, if you rent it it will probably be beaten by the time you return it.

This game rocks. I mean you got to a be a really good action fan or else you would give up and say you had a hard time cuz of the stupid bosses. This games graphics are beautiful. Like at helms deep( the first one) when they make the transition from the movie to the game i didn't notice for like 5 seconds.This game is more then just the sinple hack n' slash game you gotta think about how your going to take out the enemies. And Then in the plains of rohan you got the job of protecting the children. The sound is great also. With the gameplay sound and graphics I just get entranced. This game is definetly worth your money because of it's replay value. And all the extras you know with the interviews and all. There is a minor set back which is that you can't play with all characters. It would be nice to have like 3 different adventures. It is also kind of hard to aim with the bow when your in the middle of a mob. I like the idea to buy power ups but you gotta learn em' or else the game is a little harder. I especially like the rising attack that finishes of a lot of enemies.You can say what you want but we all know that this game has great replay value because you can play with 3 people and you can also start over and since you know what to do where you can try to get excellent's and perfect's. Out of all of the acion/adventue games i've played this is by far the bes of tghem all. I give it a 10 outta 10.

This is the best game I've ever played. You get to slay orcs with your sword and shoot arrows through orc heads. It's challenging and you get a whole bunch of bonus stuff. I think the bonus level could be a little better, though, but it's still really cool. Don't play The Fellowship of the Ring, it's stupid. I would reccomend that beginning gamers buy this game and all-time gaming fanatics rent it (they'll probably beat it in a week).

I like the people and the mystery player and level but the one thing that i dont like is ITS TOO SHORT there only like 12 levels which are only 3 minutes long I beat this whole game in 30 minutes can you belive it omfg..And it not totally the two towers there the fellow ship in it too those leves are gay serously I think Britineys dance beat is better than this

its graphics are awsome (even though kingdom heart's is better) and the gameplay is fantastic and controls for it are easy to learn so thats y its my 2 favorit game i rate t 8 stars because kts an awsome game but it could be better because insted of isildur beiing the secret charecter i think it should have been gandolf or possibly both!

after getting the game for christmas i eas hooked, it took me 5 hours to complete without cheats and i still complete it over and over again without getting bored, even though i sent in a review of the matrix i think this is better because it has better weapons. i can't wait for the next game to be brought out simply because it is fab. i think the best level was amon henn but the worst levels were the tower of orthac levels because they were too easy. my favorate characters are legolas and isiyldor but gimli is rubbish!! i think this is on every ones game list, well it should be.

play the game youll love it a lot if you love the movie youll love the game even more.But the game is pretty hard im allmost done the game.once you play the game youll never stop i guarantee.Its way better then lord of the rings follow ship of the ring by lots eny way this is 1 of my best games ever.i love it because of the graphics and the story this game is 1 of the best games that have the best graphics ever.

This game, while better than the original installment, lacks variation. While games like Hitman 2 or Vice City add a semi-real, more believeable A.I. platform, the gameplay in this title becomes quickly predictable.
Minor dilenations exist between playable characters. I'm sure someone here has already ruined the 'secret-character' by putting his identity in the review, so I won't spoil it for you if you have neither read about it or played it.
I must commend this title for its extras: There are movies associated with game progress in the form of interviews with cast members from the movies. Also, there are a few cut scenes included that are not quite featured in the film... Most of these 'cut scenes' are off-takes, or "card-takes", as Peter Jackson himself puts it. Basically, you play this game for hours and hours in order to unlock lots of extras.
This game is tolerable in that it allows even first time players (i.e. those who have magically never heard of LOTR or seen any of the movies, not to mention read any of the books) to enjoy the game without having had prior exposure to Tolkien's world.
Oh, and if you would be amused by seeing the movie actors playing the video game, play on. I'd suggest a rent before a purchase. This game would be spectacular for kids.

I know this game is only a platform game and it doesn't have graphics that add up to final fantasy. But all you really want in a game is for it to be entertaining. All that matters is that you find it fun and | definately find this game very fun with all the different moves that you get and all the different special attacks. I have spent hours playing this game and still haven't found it that boring so I would say to anyone considering buying this game that they shou;dn't be dettered by the idea of the bad graphics or the fact that it doesn't have hundreds of levels because it is damn fun and I loved it.

This game is one of the best games ive ever played.Its got great graphics I love how it adds the movie sceans in.There are a few problems,it adds some levels from the fellowship like,moria,and amon hem but i think they did that because the first game sucked.And they let you play as Isadur but he is already dead.Plus he is just like Aragorn in every way exsupt for looks.

ok people, the game is short i will giev u that but there are some of u who are saying u beat the game in a half an hour??? really....with all the characters and u got the secret character and all the upgrades? i mean im not saying that that takes a long time but not a HALF AND HOUR? oh and its made by EA. which means absolutly no blood. they have a policy about that.

lotr the two tower is a great game tough it could have been better for example by adding a multiplayer mode and more characters to fight with like elrond or éomer or a regular soldier of rohan. A part of those points its a great game with average graphics and great gameplay for hours and hours of fun killing goblins orks and terrible uruk-hai. its need that the voices are those from the actors from the movie cause else it would be real stupid. the weapons are the original (aragorn with sword and bow, legolas with two long knifes and a better bow and my personal favorite gimli with a war axe and some throwing-axes) and it is also cool that they have something to kill the bad monsters of the dark lord from a distance though aragorns bow is dissapointingly slow but then on the other hand legolas bow is fast and real handy for little goblins. the stages are good and you have the best battles from the first movie on (even the battle on the slopes of mount doom where you play isildur) you can play the weathertop, the road to moria, balins tomb, amon hen, fangorn forest,three levels in rohan(the plains of rohan, the westfold, and another one where i forgot the name of),then the deeping wall, breached wall and hornburg courtyard (all from the battle of helms deep) and even a level inside the tower of orthanc where you have to fight your way trough 20 floors loaded with enemies from goblins to woodblock throwing cave-trols. So if you are a fan of tolkien (the author of the books) and you liked the movies then this game is really a must for you. And if you are still doubting about the price take it from me it is NOT a waste of money,i swear you will enjoy it for months. I hereby close my review and i hope it is long enough to be posted. bye.
