| Majin Buu from Nottingham, UK says (27/Dec/2002): |
I got a PS2 this christmas and played on this game after spyro! The graphics are superb and the charcters look so much like the movie. Its a must see! But of course its quite hard having to beat up over 50 orcs in one level before Frodo is found and killed! It is a very hard game but very good!

This game is GREAT!!! Wow, I read the books 5 times, seen the movie, like 50 times (2 for the sencond one:) Even though it may be classified as a 'guy' game, I LOVE it. I found my self yelling at the television screen. It is a little hard at first but gets easier..I actually got in trouble for scaring my mom, you see...Legolas died!!! The grahpics are AWSOME, love the moves. Great hack-n Slash game, Rohan was really cool, I all ready won it almost, just got it this morning. All Tolkein fans are really pleased!

| Laura from Chicago, USA says (26/Dec/2002): |
Well, I'm a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings movie and I have to say, this game is amazing! I was blown away at how realistic the graphics look, it's hard to tell whether or not your playing the game or watching the movie. You feel as if you are part of the Fellowship and it is such a rush!
It can get a bit confusing if you aren't focused, but once you get the hang of it, it is alot of fun. "Two Thumbs Up!"

you get put IN!!!! the movie |
| Anthony from Wollongong, Australia says (26/Dec/2002): |
it is an amazing game .think of mixing devil may cry with legend of zelda on n64. it has amazing graphics great combos, great scenery, and an awesome sound track. the great thing is you dont have to be a harcore fan of the movies or books to love it, its just an all round great action and adventure game, and if you are a fan of the the movies or books then this is your heaven. for the time u play it ,you will be legolas gimli or aragorn. The game also has great cut scenes from the movie that blend right in to the game perfectly. If u love everything medieval like i do then u will feel like u are in the dark ages
if u didnt get all that ill repeat myself

Sweet game! |
| Matt Howard from stow usa says (25/Dec/2002): |
The two towers is by far better than the fellowship i played both and the fellowship is very.....different, first of all the characters i nthe fellowship werent the same, Aragorn didnt even have a beard!! The two towers is a great game, kind of easy untill you get to Helm's Deep though! All around though the graphics-awesome, sound- amazing I think one of the best aspects of the gamne is that the actual peoiple did the voices not some cheap imitation. Total score 10 of 10!!

there is no way better to kick some orc ass |
| paul from Australia says (22/Dec/2002): |
this game is great. if you liked the movie than your going to like the game. the game blends so well with the movie you dont even know when its a cut scene from the movie or if its the game. the music also blends well with whats happening on screen and the voices are from the real actors. its great! you have a choice of being aragon legolas grimlin and the secret character when you have finished the game. its an awesome game.

This is the games of all games! |
| Gabriel from Harlem, MT. U.S.A. says (9/Dec/2002): |
When I first bought this game, the man behind the counter said I wouldn't be dissappointed. I sat down and freaked all night, and let me tell you I was not dissappointed. The very first days of gameboying out, people thought that I was in a trance. My friends had to come check on me, then realizing I wasn't coming to class. Last week a fight broke out because some ignorant fool had the nerve to call The Lord of the Rings for geeks or nerds, I almost had to take defense with my game paddle. I think that if people hate the game or movie so much they should not criticize us imaginative people that do take it serious. Many people out in this world would think of me and most people a little wierd for all that doing but it is a part of life. Nothing can ever change that, because it is a part of who I am and have realized I now belong to the "Fellowship". It was a turning point in my life and the game will forever be apart of me. All in all the graphics were all life-like and it made me feel as if I was in the game. Some stages were a little difficult to get past but I triumphed and showed that giving up wasn't a part of me.

Rent, but don't buy. |
| Cael from Marina, CA says (7/Dec/2002): |
Great graphics, bad game.
I guess I'll be the lone naysayer in the bunch.
When I first put it in, I was blown away. The movie cutscenes and the actual game graphics are stunning. Just like everyone else mentioned, it feels like you are in the movie.
But, once I got over the graphics, I discovered a very shallow game. The gameplay is poor, half the time you have no idea who you're fighting, or where you even character is. Many times I just found myself pushing buttons as fast as I could until the level was over.
If you're a huge fan of the movie (which I'm not) you will probably love this game. If you're just looking for great game, rent it, beat it, but definetly not worth the $50.

OMG!!! This Game Rocks if you dont buy it smack yourself. |
| Mike from Roanoke IL USA says (6/Dec/2002): |
I bought LOR Fellowship for ps2. Its crap to this game. Yo feel like you are a part of the movie. Like you controll the outcome. Very hard in some spots but, they all cant be easy. This is a MUST for any real gamer, LOR fan or anyone with a brain. A++++++ EA Rocks

Brilliant but extremly hard from the start |
| jamie settrey from newcastle, prudhoe says (30/Nov/2002): |
the game is and exellent example of the graphics the Ps2 can offer and the multipull button componations adds the freedom to slaughter as you wish. with points being scored for perfect to fair kills you will want to re-play earlier levels to gain extra levels and points. but the game is very very hard the time spent leading up to the main boss, at the end of each level, is though going but the boss itself is impossible nearly to beat; and with no way of saving or check pionts within the game you will find yourself very fustrated as you will have to spent most of your time going back to the begining of the level and starting again.
|
Almost perfect but my goodness its hard in some spots |
| Jonathan from USA says (23/Nov/2002): |
When I sat down to play The Two Towers I was plaqued by the bitter taste that other game to movie games that I have played in the past, but once I stuck this game in all those horriable memories went away. The first thing you think when you see this game is WOW IS THIS A MOVIE OR IS THIS THE GAME?!?!?!? The character models are so life like and real looking you would bet you life they where the real people. Now I know that graphics arent everything when it comes to a game, but lets face it they sure do help. The game play aspect is simpily awesome, it bassically ends up coming down to a simple hack and slash button mashing game, but the cool part is that you just done care its so much fun to do it you feel that if anything else was incorported in you'd simply keel over and die from the sheer number of things to do. Being able to to purchase upgrades is really nice and adds a real nice flavor to the game. Add the Actor interviews and the secret level additions to the game and your in gamer heaven. I do have a coulle or complaints though the game is really really hard in some spots I dont know ifI just suck or if its terriably hard but that got on my nerves some times, and the fact that there isnt and chekcpoints in alot of the levels really get annoyiny espcially at the breeched wall. But all in all this is a killer game and a must have for fans of the movie and people who jsut like action games.

the lord of the ps2 |
| sir games alot from perth western australia wa says (13/Nov/2002): |
The best lord of the rings game... one thing they get all the real voice actors for it and the actors from the movies even end up playing the game. i know this because its in the features. the graphics are really good you can see they took there time in makeing this game. Not only that but the gameplay is so good like dante devil may cry good..all the charcters are good so its hard to have a favorate i ended up raseing all of there levels instead of sticking with just one character the place are good and detailed and so r the monsters but the only problem is you cant fight that big flame monster with the fire whips that pulles gandolf of the ege. in lothr1 but maybe you do fight him in one of the secrete levels at the end of the game.If you are a die hard fan ore just like a game with a lot of action and wickid videoclips.the point in the game that did it for me was the level where you have to fight i think his name is barlog the monster that kills that guy in the first movie but the whole game is good.it makes me want to play the lord of the ring the fellowship of the rings but no way can it meet this games standeds ..NOW..I CANT...WAIT..TIL..THE...MOVIE...

Best action game since Devil may Cry |
| Tarius Wright from Salt Lake says (1/Nov/2002): |
So check it out. The game is almost spotless. It incorporates scenes from the second movie, then flawlessly reverts to game graphics. The control and playability are advanced, and the game is challenging. The soundtrack appears to likewise be from the second movie, as are all the voices. So coupled with all that is the fact that you get to whup on on Darkness with 3 of the greatest warriors of fiction: Aragorn the Elfstone, Gimli son of Gloin, and Legolas Greenleaf, who, lacking any other title, let us surname him, "Most like to hand you your butt on a silver tray."
Buy the game. I bought Tony 4, then saw this, and took Tony back just because I wouldnt even have time or will to play it. The two towers is transcendant.
