I haven't played wwe smackdown shut your mouth yet but i played all the other ones. It will probably be ok. the other ones had good matches and weapons. the game play sucked so bad because you could do 5 of your finshing moves in a row a your opponet will get right up. When you through the people off the hell in the cell they get right back up it's like there a robot unstop able. The best Wrestling games ever were the ones for only N64 you could do alot. You could flip off the aperon. jump off the top off the ladder and actually hit some one and it hurts your opponets. you beat the crap out of your opponets and they stay down unlike the smackdown games. The people actually bleed. If you took everthing from No Mercy for N64, like the game play how you grapple and do your moves and mixed it with the matches, weapons, and the create a superstar from Smackdown and wwf Attuide it would be the ultimate game. thats what they need to do.

This game is sooo much better than JBI. I've had this game for about 2 weeks now and it really does kick ass! I read sum of the other reviews and I agree with the fact that the dialogue in the season needs to be improved and some of the wrestlers don't look like who they're supposed to (William Regal for example but Booker T is the best likness). I'm dissappointed (and my girlfriend) that you can't have a diva in the season mode apart from being a manager. I've noticed that, it might just be my copy but, I loose my smackdowns when not being able using them oh and the ref REALLY annoys me, he gets in the way so many times!!! The time it takes to get up from being knocked down is kind of a joke as it takes ages to sometimes. The CAW is much better than any other wrestling game available. The detail you can go into is amazing. I wish Rey Mysterio was in it. Granted you can have some of his moves but it's not easy trying to get his mask right is annoying. Apart from all of this it is a very good game and highly addictive as even my girlfriend doesn't get frustraited with it. Well done to THQ and WWE. Looking forward to the next one.

I've been playing the Season mode from August 2001 thru January 2003. During that time I have gained the I.C. Title, and the European championship. I was always the 2nd rate superstar, I was never in the Main Events... 1 day I was asked if I wanted a shot at the WWE title, I said sure. I became the main event star, FINALLY. Then I was informed that it was a 6 man match (no elimination just 1 pin and its over) and to make matters worse It was a Hell In The Cell Match with The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Christ Jericho, Kane, and the WWE champion Undertaker! I fought for my life on top of the cage and on bottom. Finally I found Jericho hopeless in the Middle of the Ring everyone else was fighting in their corners and I ran up the Turnbuckle and realized I had a Special. I flew from up Top and BAM! I had the pin, Undertaker ran up but it was to late 1-2-3!!! Now I'm about to defend my title for the first time! In other words and to put it simply THIS GAME KICKS!!!

I love the new game. The create-a-superstar is the best ever. I've always been a big fan of the AKI/Man Breeze games that were on the N64. I still prefer that style of game over Smackdown. To me its easier to do and the grappling is a lot easier. However this Smackdown impressed me. I loved how the cruiserweights had a bunch of reversals. I had Tajiri fight Kidman and it looked very good. In many ways it was like Tajiri's fued in ECW with Super Crazy. I also liked the new way to use weapons. They finally got that right. Everything else is better than the previous games but one thing...the targeting. I can't tell you how many times I tried to attack my opponent but ended up attacking the ref or worse my OWN PARTNER! As the computer rushes in to knock me on my butt I'm too busy trying to focus on the guy to block the move. It gets really frustrating really quickly. This has not been a problem in the other games or even the sorry excuse for a game known as Wrestlemania X8. Unlike Wrestlemania X8, thank God, you get more than 5 grapples. Like the previous Smackdowns you get a crapload of moves. I LOVED the new annimations if you fall off of a cage. Its hilarious to see people flop around. All the game needs to do is redo the targeting/focusing system and redo the backstage dialogue. 87/100

This game is the coolest game. I love taking of the turnbuckul. taking stuff from under the ring too. The graphics were so realilistic. I love the game. taking ot the turnbuckul helps you put on your ground special, or steal your opponents special. This is the game everybody needs to play(if you like wrestling. Yeah, definetly the best wrestling game ever seen... JUST BRING IT was a intro to this one...And this game is in top five for the best games this year for PS2... Even persons who aren't wrestling fans will enjoy this game, that's for sure... For PS2 there hasn't been too many good games that use the capacity of PS2, but slowly the evolution is going finally the right way.... TEN POINTS.... GO GET YOUR OWN.....

i think WWE smackdown shut your mouth is the coolest game ever you should go out & by it, it is very easy to win & get other things. if you have trouble in tag matchs & triple threats just keep on givin them a submission move coz a vintually they will tape coz the opponet can't kick it out that's how i win mine. i'm the undisputed champ. the only thing i hate is the royal rumbles i can not win them so if you's no a quicker way please e-mail me

well just like smackdown 3 you put the dificulty level on easy and at first the story mode is easy and you cant actually get up and fight, but later on after the first ppv it started get hard. you cant even get up they beat you down you cant even fight. its like the difficulty is always hard. but in exibiton its easy but story mode really makes me mad. this game is just like smackdown 3 but i think if you put the dificulty on easy then it should be easy. i mean gesse you cant even get up and fight. i hate this game besides the exbition and stuff. the story mode once again sucks i wish they didnt follow what happens in real life because you ALREADY KNOW WHAT GOING TO HAPPEN they should makeup a story mode because this game is really boring after a while and the difficulty sucks,

This is the best game ever! The graphics have improved and there are a thousand moves you can do. Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, X-Pac, The Big Show, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels can be found in this game, who on my game, I have all in the nWo. I love this game and play it everyday!

Where the hells Rey Mysterio?Hes like my F****** idol!Hes the best!!He is the best wrestler on earth.Since they cancelled Smackdown! over here in Australia I never get to see him except on the vids I have with Him In it. Anyway this is a mad game.The best ever on earth.Its so Mad And I love the way you can do your opponents finishers.Its so mad.gameplay is so cool and the commentary is pretty good......Let me say its not bad but an improvment from wwe smackdown just bring it. Well all I can Say Is This Is the lord,no the massiah of all games anywhere!

This is the best World Wrestling Entertainment game ever produced. Its graphics have improved greatly and there are thousands of different moves you can do! Brock Lesnar, RVD, Big Show can be found in this game. You cannot unlock any characters but only create! I created a Rey Mysterio and it is just like the real one!!! The create a wrestle mode has now added a new feature which you can create a taunt or animation. I loved this game and play it almost everyday.

This game is the best i have been playing this for ages it's cool how you can choose which superstars are on which show i am up to summerslam 2002 because i play it a lot the best two characters are Billy Kidman and RVD i'm having trouble with the game because i'm at summerslam i'm RVD and i have a triple threat match i'm the undisputed champ but the problem is the other two superstars gang up on me i almost finished the big show with the frog splash but i got 2 count and HHH recked it then he pedigreed me and he pinned me so he got me 1-2-3

i bought this game the day it came out bcuz i have jbi and kyr and i used to have the original i bought this 1 and was amazed the graphics are awesome season is alot better(jbi season sucked)u can make more people that look cooler.u get new entrances u can steal takers bike,it is just an awesome game that should b bought if your a true wwe fan.its got updated rosters,in season the draft takes place,u pic what you unlock,just an awesome game.you can blow up cars when hit them with chair they actually fall unlike on jbi and kyr and the original.u can talk to vince when you want a title.you can do almost everything from attacking people to metting new people or getting jumped none of it is predictable in this game.this is one wwe game that no fan should miss out on it has nwo,unamericans(fun to jump)and on my game i even have he game triple H in the NwO.Its really kewl to c the game strutting around like x-pac or all would do.u can slam thm in trash cans,hell in the cell is updated,everything is alot better then on any of the others dont b a idiot and miss out.

i think this is the best wrestling u can find today cus it o much better than the old ones, especially jbi (which was crap). the grapics are way better as well as the gameplay. the downside of the game are some wrestelers dont look like the real thing. only some of them like raven (u can tell its him its just some of his features dont match)etc. the season mode is excellent but u who like girl on girl action cant have it cus u cant but ahwell! all in all this is sooo goood BUY IT!! WELL DONE WWE AND THQ ETC.

Let me say that I own Smackdown 3 and I thought that was unbelieveable! Now that I own Smackdown 4, I am totally blown away! Just Hell in The Cell match is worth the price alone. But, have like long story mode and picking what draft you want to be in is lik a dream come true! The only bad thing about this game is that you cant have a diva for story mode. All in all, if you havent got this game yet then rush out now because I loved it and so will you!

i think the new wwe smackdown is the best wrestling game ever the only problem with it is the storyline is the same for every wrestler. I hope the furture games will have actual storyline for each charater chosen. I think the graphics of the game were excellent because he could actually see the mouth move to the words and other games the mouth just moved. I havent finished the gameplay but the exibtion is awesome to do major wrestling damage to your opponent. The fun factor is the best because since i got it i havent stopped playing it. If you get a chance to play the game you will understand. i just like the idea have having the characters being able to change thier outfit(well most of them anyway) I was hoping for the game to have different referees besides "The Great One" Earl Hebner just because i think it would be a little more interesting to yell at them or to just layeth the smackdown on them. I especially liked the fact that you can get out of finishers or copy your oppenents finishers.

THQ has excelled with WWE Smackdown (SYM), Shut Your Mouth. The computer A.I has far improved from WWE Smackdown! Just Bring It (JBI)! The most significant improvement is the abandonment of the pathetic Story Mode of that on Smackdown JBI. The season mode on SYM is far more in-depth. I’m in the year 2003 and still the storyline keeps twisting and changing. The season mode gives you the real feel of excitement, like that of watching 'real' wrestling, making you want to continue with your next week to find out the repercussions of your actions from previous RAW or SMACKDOWN. SYM is more about fine tuning, than original game play. The graphics are far improved, the sounds effects are more realistic, and the season mode is a vast improvement. It’s the fine tuning of the simplistic things, like when using a chair on someone's cranium, and it actually having some impact, instead of the opponent standing after six or seven vile head shots. Like I said the wrestle's A.I has improved as well, as well as even more individuality given to the wrestlers, Triple H's style of punching, Y2J's egotistical of arrogance, the Texas Rattlesnakes abusiveness. When fighting a computer opponent the computer adapts to what ever style the wrestle fights in, for instance The Rock's trademark 'Layeth The Smackdown' is far more widely used. You can also predict certain moves, i.e. if Rock has Smackdown and he has just propelled you toward the ropes, it is a safe bet there will be a spine-buster to follow, with a Peoples Elbow put in for good measure. I also personally like the touch of being able to use your opponents Smackdown move to add insult to injury by pressing L1 and L2. All in all, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth! is very much a complete game unlike JBI looked like when that was released a year ago, there is room for improvements but only minor ones, maybe a more lengthier line up of matches on RAW and Smackdown, especially at the main-event. But still cracking game, well worth the splashing the cash. Ash

This game is what every wrestling game from now on will HAVE to be! The gameplay is flawless like usual, and the visuals are unbelievable, you'll find yourself staring at the screen in amazement! The arenas are perfect and the wrestlers look awesome. The sound has also improved, we finally get to hear good ol' J.R and The King do the commentary. Only two things i would like to change about the game; the camera is a bit too close when wrestling in the ring, and i wish they would allow you to fight for the titles during exhibition matches, like you could on Smackdown 2. On in all, the fun factor is off the charts, its a great game every Smackdown fan should definitely experience.

The games graphics and looks of each of the moves is really good. Brock Lesnar is scary when he roars and clotheslines people. I went to make a guy and there was like 6 different kind of armdrags! I was like wow, then i went down and saw the many moves. The behind the stage during the show rocked too. That is the best improvement. What it lacks is the style of WWF No Mercy for N64 where each wrestler had 4 costumes that could be changed. Wrestlers change styles and start doing new moves and this needs to be able to be changed. That was the downfall of Wrestlemania X8 for Gamecube for me. The other thing is they have not improved the tables since they first started putting tables in games. It is very hard to do moves through tables and even if you do it ends up looking bad. The other thing is being able to stand on the apron and walk down the side like No mErcy for N64. This allowed more moves to be done from the apron to ringside or into the ring. I like graphics and exact movemoent likenesses but i think gameplay is more important. A game with the best graphics ever yet to come could be made but if gameplay is lacking then it sucks. Also being able to make stables and the members interfere sometimes, definetely include that too. That is what i would like to see in the next Smackdown 5. This way you could change costumes to fit new looks and storylines and with better gameplay and moves you could simulate your favorite matches or cool looking moves from raw, smackdown, or the last ppv. I dont like talk bad about it, but i havent bought a wrestling game since No Mercy other than Smackdown 2 because of this. I rent it first now until a worthy of purchase smackdown is released.

I am a complete fan of Smackdown. In fact, Smackdown, the original game, is what got me interested in professional wrestling. The game had the moves and the entertainment aspect down. Smackdown 2 followed suit, creating a new mold for all wrestling games to try and follow. Just Bring It! looked great, but it fell short to the expectations most of us had. It had some great points, but let's not get into that right now. Shut Your Mouth is big today, for only being out about a week, and it's only going to get bigger. If you are a fan of wrestling or any game related to wrestling, this is the game to have. Like the original Smackdown video game, Shut Your Mouth is creating a standard to which we will now hold every wrestling game to. Finally... Season Mode has come back... to Smackdown. The graphics are perfect, the moves exact, and the ability to create 32 characters is magnificent. I can only find a slight drawback on the game, and that is that you can only control one superstar in season mode. You can play the matches before yours as someone else, but only you become the show stopper. But that doesn't change the fact that this game is so close to perfect. The storylines are true to the WWE, as most came directly from ongoing events from last year... and to see your favorite star or your created star become the headliner is awesome. The layers mode for creating a character is perfect. If you found it in Just Bring It!, more than likely you'll find it in SYM. This game has the power and the drive to become the greatest wrestling game ever, which in my mind it already is... at least until Smackdown 5.
