better than ever |
| dhillon aston from longeaton/nottinham/england says (11/Nov/2003): |
Hitman 2 is back and for the gamers who have not heard of it here’s a quick insight into the world of the hitman game.
This game grabs you and grabs you hard in places, because for once this is a shoot em up with realistic views and twits that will make you think is this game real or is it reality?
The hitman is called 47 and he has come to terms with his past or has his past come to terms with him? I’ll tell you more.
47 has a mastery of deadly weapons but the thoroughness of groundwork you have to do makes this game mind blowing:
why i hear you ask well he's a silent assassin this time and silent you must stay.
The enemy are sneaky, and would rather take you out from behind than to your face so you are watching your every move and your surroundings so you do not get shot, beware of snipers on roofs!!.
To really go into depth about this Eidos masterpiece you have to play this game for your self to understand the world of the hitman.
It's a very must buy and play game for real die hard gamers.
I would go into all the depths about all the levels but why do that and spoil the game play for you.
The graphics are actually going places and let me tell you the gamers that you will not miss a thing on screen because of the mastery of the graphics that have gone into this game, they are clean, swift and more than anything as real as its going to get.
The sound quality is great, you actually hear every thing, from foot steps on the road, snow and even the doors and many many more sounds, it blew me away when I played this game.
Even the guns sound like they’re in your front room and they sound like they should if you were to fire them your self.
Game play is great and realist, eye opening and you really get that sense of feeling that its worth that hard earned money and it is.
The game play is getting better and better with these types of games and this game is moving the gaming world forward due to the game play and realistic views.
Well life span is really hard to comment on but true gamers know its quality that we're looking for and this game has it, its got levels in Sicily, St Petersburg, Japan, Malaysia, nuristan, India and many many more to keep solid gamers gaming for hours, days and maybe years.
So if the grueling 21 levels don't keep you going then you will have to wait for Eidos to bring out hitman 2 back in business and that’s out in 2004 some time but I’ll keep you posted.
From what I’ve played of hitman 2 I would honestly give this game a 9/10 review.

| A gamer says (25/Sep/2003): |
Hitman2 Silent Assasin proves an awsome game with a game play (controls) like Socom U.S. NAvy Seals.Graphics are outstanding with great music that seems to fit with the situation. You can go win a level and have the option of being an assasin or a mass murderer. You have an arsenal of weapons to use, including a fire ax.

Stealthy Assassin: Hours of sneaking and mayhem! |
| Halfdeaf from Knoxville, TN says (22/Sep/2003): |
I would like to extoll the virtues of Hitman 2! This game provided me with hours of gameplay; not something that I can say about most games of this type. There is a plethora of weapons at your disposal, but I was confused by this as the most rewarding path to take in the game is the stealthy, quiet path.
One of the best aspects of this game is that there are countless ways to complete each mission. For example: One might take the "Charles Bronson" approach to any mission, shooting wildly at anything that moves. Indeed, the player will most likely complete the mission and move on to the next.
However, if the player chooses to move silently, think carefully about each action taken, kill only the target instead of every guard and by-stander, then the player will find rewards in the form on hidden bonus weapons.
With that covered, there are also many ways to kill your target apart from blasting away with said weapons. For example: if the player is aware that fugu fish, sliced the wrong way, can be terribly poisonous, then the player can use this to his/her advantage. Use poisoned fish to kill a man rather than running into a room and shooting like mad. Also, these same strategies can be used to gain access to different areas of various levels.
One in particular comes to mind: I remember a level in which the player's objective is to infiltrate a high-class party at a high-class mansion and kill someone. You can obviously run in there shooting like a mad-man, or one might choose to incapacitate a waiter, take his clothes, take his platter of drinks and waltz slowly into the party, guards none the wiser.
All-in-all, this game provided this player with hours of thought-provoking gameplay. It is MUCH harder to play the game silently than it is to simply blast away at everything. I would suggest this game to anyone who is interested in using their mind to complete puzzles of an ever-changing nature.
Also, one final note: Once you complete the game I would suggest using some of the cheats (available in great frequency on the Web) to just have fun. For example: use the low-gravity cheat in conjunction with the shotgun (sawn off, not "sawed off")to watch your enemies fly through the air, flailing and bleeding.
HAVE FUN!

The best game for killing |
| James from Simcoe Ontario says (19/Sep/2003): |
This game was one of the best games i've ever played. I'm a trigger happy maniack. the best part is godmode and all weapons cheats. i put on both, get out the best shotgun, and go around blowing people away. I ushally get mass murderer because the only sratigy is pull out a good gun, and kill. this is the best game for guns, stelth (which i hardly ever use!), and, well, killing!

Best Game I Have Ever Played! |
| Alex from Singapore says (5/Sep/2003): |
The Graphics Are good,,i give it a 8,becausewhen you shoot tires, they just show the holes...it never deflates, and it very real that when you kill people they don't leave holes of any kind.So if you are someone just for the action,i suggest you buy this game.

Hitman 2:SIlent Assassin rules!!! |
| Mike Burrows from Davison, Michigan, U.S.A. says (21/Jul/2003): |
Hitman 2 was the best game i have ever played! What's there not to like? The musical score was the best, with REAL artists (for those of you who dont read credits). The grapiics were extremely realistic, and extremely entertaining. How can u not like sneaking up on a guy and choking him to death? Plus, there are unlockable weapons. Thats cool! nailing multiple guys with one sniper bullet? Come on!!! how awesome can u get??? stealing peoples clothes when u r inches away from being discovered and killed? u cant possibly be in a more intense, sweat-jerking situation! And i loved being able to switch from third to first person! if i were to tell u all of the cool things in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, it could be published into a book! (yes, there is that much). Anyone who plays it can tell the creators poured their hearts and souls into this game. There is no possible way Hitman 2:silent Assassin could get any better! All the people i know r asking me whether its worth the cash and effort to buy it, and i say "the only reason u shouldnt is if you cant afford it.",But it would be worth going into debt to buy this game. anyone who is a shooter fan will tell u the same. To repeat: Hitman 2:silent Assassin is the coolest, most entertaining game for anyone who enjoys killing people, and anyone who didnt will when they Play Hitman 2:Silent Assassin.

This is a good game! |
| Rob from **********/Ohio USA says (29/Jun/2003): |
Hit Man 2 is a pretty good game. I like all the scenery and the new choice of weapons. Such as the Deagle. Also the graphics are a little bit better then in the first hit man. But the one thing I 50/50 is the hardness of the game.Even though it is a cool game its much harder then the first.

shut up moaning |
| larry from shitsville london england says (29/May/2003): |
the control system isnt that hard. its no different to any fps. i cant think of any games that have bullet holes in dead bodies either (no dobt someone will correct me on this). any way its a cool game and shoting the pidgeons at the church makes it all worthwile.

This is the most amasing game i have ever played |
| A gamer from Wakefield, Yorkshire, England, U.K. says (3/May/2003): |
This was the first game i got from the the ps2 and after i started playing hitman I.........kept playing hitman. The thing i like most about the game is the lifespan it nearly took me a month to complete and i dont think they could have made the sound or graphics any better. Over all I think this is the best game I have played.

Lovin' it! |
| Demi from Twin, GA says (19/Apr/2003): |
Now this is a good game. I love the fact that there are multiple ways in which you can kill someone. So no bullet holes ..blah! Get over it! So the controls take some getting used to ...blah! grow up and then get over it! This game is quality. I love being stealthy!
|
oh get over the holes!!! |
| the don from south bend in usa says (15/Apr/2003): |
ok,so im plying medal of honor frontline killing like a lunaitic when i realize. NO BLOOD! Thats something to be upset about. No bullet holes in your fallen enemies? Who cares! Of all the games ive played ive never seen bullet holes but this game is flawed? This is the most realistic game ive played.Where else can you walk into a room and have several unique ways to kill a guy. The stealth, the choices, even the story were well thought out. And by the way, for you hole people, sneak up on someone with your silenced ballers and light em up. See how far their corpse flies. Now thats cool.

Very good game, Better Actually |
| A gamer from Ayrshire, Scotland says (31/Mar/2003): |
Hitman 2 is amazing. Firstly, he has a very cool suit with a red tie. Need I say more. The gun choice is unbelievable, you end up wanting to take every gun and kill every guy in the level with each gun. Hiding bodies and snipering through windows is very very cool. The controls are mucked up a little. I end up dropping one of my guns and i have to run back and get it. LALALALA deededee
|
this game owns all |
| matt baranowski from Bartlett,USA says (29/Mar/2003): |
this is one of the most unique games i have ever played. the whole stealth mode is brilliant. the story is detailed, the graphics are exelent. this very well could be the best game of the year. The only flaw i came across is the whole double anolog thing. it gets confusing and stays confusing. This is one of those games that u rent from blockbuster and cant give back.
|
This game is cool |
| A gamer from Maine says (10/Mar/2003): |
I like the game. i haven't played it much. it took me a long time to figure out the controlls but after a while i was like... wow, these controlls are still messed up. Also, the very bigining was easy and after that i didnt know what i was doing.. they were like "go find this guy" and there were like a million doors and friged up people speaking diferent laguages then getting pissed off and shooting me. PERSONALY, i have had GTA-VC for a while and i think THAT game is sweet. but im not here to talk about that. Anyway, this game is real cool but the controls are messed up, i dont know what im doing, and who really friggen cares if there are no bullet holes in people. You can't be that picky. Well, i can see why that might just piss your ass right off and make you want to commit suicide because this game just FRIGGEN NEEDS BULLET HOLES.
|
the controls?? |
| richie from USA says (1/Mar/2003): |
this game is alright..i wouldnt go as far as to say its awesome! metal gear solid 2 is awesome!, grand theft auto(vice city) is awesome! and believe it or not its the controls setup that is so wierd. why didnt they just keep it simple like metal gear 2? the concept is great and sneaking up on someone is cool, changing the clothes was very nice, but the controls on how to make him move was wack.. a 9 is way too much!!
|
killer assasin |
| Mr. Biggs from Crystal Lake says (26/Feb/2003): |
This game kicks all ass! Granit there are a few glitches this game is great. It lets you complete the mission in many different ways. for those who like the killing rampage death spree to those silent assasins. This games got some great weapons and extradinariy details. Bullet holes would be cool but whatever. I don't care much for the christian, buddist theme. He should just be a straight up bad ass.

Absolute Legend |
| el finstarro from Ireland says (26/Feb/2003): |
Excellent game...finally a thinking man's game. sure, you can pull out a M60 and waste everyone, but where's the challenge. Hitman 2 offers you the chance to use stealth, be cunning, and put your head to good use. OK, so the bodies don't dismember and there's no bullet holes, but if you think about it, how are you going to take someones clothes when he's spattered into fifty pieces?
|
Agent 47 |
| Michael Mills from Lebanon Junction Kentucky USA says (20/Feb/2003): |
I thought this game was okay. The controls were hard just like Max Payne. But other than that this game is awesome. I gave it a 9 bacause when you get far on a mission and you die then you have to start all over again. That's about enough to piss some one off. But I still havent finished the game but it blows most games out of this world. I think it's like a spinter cell for ps2. And a nother thing is, I can't put in any cheats like God mode and All weapons and there is a few others but anyway I appreciate you reading my review. Now go back to doing whatever it was you was doing.
|
i like it! |
| Mike Marchetise from los angeles, USA says (3/Jan/2003): |
i like this game very much indeed, and i heard a couple people saying that they don't like how when you shoot guys that there are no bullet holes in them...well you know that would look pretty cool, but just because the game don't have it don't get mad, this game has alot more than most games have...and think about how many other games do you know that when you shoot the guys bullets holes are in them? i can't think of any. This game the blood splatters on the walll thats cool.
