Duelist of the Roses after watching the tv series and all i wanted was to get the cards that yu-Gi-Oh! had but since i developed my deck and realized that the cards the computer uses against you are almost impossible to collect so i created a deck with simple fairy and light monsters that is of such low vale and such high attribute that it is almost impossible to beat. the Att and Def of my monsters get to 9999 in around 10 to 20 moves but i usually just play around with them and flip my cards face up other wise the computer will attack it and its game over before you can get enough cards in the grave yard to activate the slot machine(not the card slot machin). My Deck value is 756 and is still able to get 5 monsters on the field with the value of 9999 and i am so proud because their is no cheating involved. Iv played 337 games and won 334 which im disappointed about those 3 losses but they happened at the start so its to late now! I would like to tell people my deck secrets but it is so much more rewarding when you learn your self.

The other games give far shorter lifespans, but this one gives me as long as I like. The gameplay is my favorite thing about this game. When I am playing it, I am just at peace with the many Yu-Gi-Oh! Gods. The play is one of the favorite things I do with my life. If it was not for that I would have nothing. Its what I do to be with the rest of the world. If I was a cool kid and hung out with real people,not my imaginary indian friends from Indiana, I would tell them all about this amazing game. Few people can know my struggles with life. If dreadful to go through it day by day. But I know that after a hard day of school at Muhammed, I can go home and play my favorite thing in the world. | The Bottom Line for the Game | | Will from Philadelphia, Pa (USA) says (13/Nov/2004): | I don't believe in cheats (unless someone messes up your memory card and you use them to get you back to the same point in the game with the same equiptment, then that is just correcting a mistake. I buy and play games because I enjoy the challenge of the game, but because I play this way I have become unbeatable with everyone else who does use cheats and it makes playing with other people boring.
So to get to the point I beat the game in under 8 hours and then some. The game was extremely easy using basic strategies and some dueling skill. It is a computer for crying out loud, it doesn't have dieling skills, just throws different card combinations at you.
That said it was a VERY fun game and still is. I do not like the newer playstation 2 Capsule Monster Colisuem game as much, though I beat it right away again. In both games I never lost a battle, it was that easy. I personally would love to see a version of YuGiOh come out where it is more like the TV show, with every possible combination of cards, some we have never heard of. A perfect example of a great card combination was using Mammoth Graveyard + Polyimerzation + Golden Arrow. Then allowing YuGi to combine his weak monster with Seto's Blue Eye's Ultimate Dragon. I think the possibilities are endless if the creators set their minds to it. If they fail, I will one day write a game but not in the near future.
For months I gave people advice on how to play and win in the game, even had a guy e-mail me fighting me on the Egyptain God Cards, staying he knew they were in the game. Too bad that was the Gameboy Advanced version which I also beat very easily.
If it takes a guy with an IQ of 123 that long to beat this game, then he probably has no common sense to go along with his IQ. Common sense goes a long way, take it from a true genius (Genius being 130 or better which he fell short of by 7).

| hard to play unless you know your yu-gi-oh stuff | | Adam from (uk) England says (5/Aug/2004): | this game altogether is quite good. the graphics and sound rock!! especially when it changes to a scene and two monsters atack each other,the only 2 bad things are 1:the story is set totally diferent to on the show,on the show its set in ancient egypt on the game its set it some early english time 2:at the start it asks you to pick a deck that (resonates in your soul) and then gives you really bad choices! i like this game because you get to use your fave monsters,magic and traps (3D monsters and attacks!) oh and one last thing READ THE MANUAL AND DO THE TUTORIAL! it might be boring but its crucial ok . you cannot play the game without reading instructions and tutorial i bought the game for £19.99 it was very worth it in my opinion. its among a few of the best games i have ever had. its kind of like chess only more fun a good long game thats nice to get stuck into, the kind of game you can sit down and play happily for hours

I love how the battling works and how it takes place in the 1800's and all that, but there was one major problem that I thought the creaters could have left out. That was Deck Cost. It irritated me so bad because you play the game and beat it over and over again and get really great cards that you've really wanted, but over 1/2 the time you put them in your deck , you can't use them against any of the easy peaple because they suck and have a low deck cost. I don't know what you guys all think , but it irritates the #< remove me > at %$ out of me! But, other than that it was a pretty good game. | Yu-Gi-Oh duels rock!!! | | Jose Moises from Rio Grande,Texas,USA says (30/May/2004): | Yu-Gi-Oh Duelists of the Roses was the first thing I learned about monster duels.So I was lost when I boght my first buster pack cards.I can say many things about the game, but what I like the best is the POWER.Increasing the attack of my monsters is what I enjoy, seeing my opponent fall into my traps.The graphics are like nothing I'v ever seen before.My favorits are the Fiends,and Meteor Black Dragon'ATK 3500/DEF 2000'.Red-eyes is My deck leader,I didn't always liked it 'ATK 2400/DEF 2000' I think it's too low for a level 7,but when it fuses with Meteor Dragon,or Summoned Skull and get a powerful monster.Black Skull Dragon 'ATK 3200/DEF 2500' If you like to control power 'or the unstopable powers' I recomend the game.

Keith get limiter removals 3 of them and some of his stronger cards at least one of all cards above 1500 if they have an effect if not should be around 2000 atk or if you want def around 2200 if you beat the game the cheats at the end do work if you havent used them already it is an easy game. The cheats that work can be found at cheat planet or some other cheaters place. If you are looking for a blue eyes ultimate dradon beat kaiba after he uses the ritual for blues eyes ultimate you will know when this happens when you see three cards go in the air and start sppining they fly into each other and there is an explosion then you should have at least 10 cards in the gravyard when there are at least 10 cards in the gravyard {kaibas graveyard} there arent any more fake traps i dont think then use your cards to get stuff out of the gravyard on kaibas graveyard take the cards you dont want out and then you should at least get one card you wanted well if u need help email me.
| Very Fun and Entertaining | | Autopsy from Big Spring, TX says (15/May/2004): | Man this game is awesome just beat the Yorkists side yesterday and now i just need 3 more rose cards for the other side. The best thing about the game is you can get your oppenent cards and beat them on there own turf. I loved that you can switch the arena and I thing the best deck to hole is the machine deck of Bandit Keith. Just beat him over and over to get the slot machine and three 7 completed, machine factories, and limiter removels and you just seal beating both sides. The last thing is the game play is so real I have never played such a kool game. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. The only thing i did not like is when you first start they give you mainly all monsters and barely any trap or magic cards whinch makes i really hard to get n e where.

All you have to do is press the right circle thingy. the same goes for L3, just press the left circle thingy. Oh yeah, for all those people who say that there is an Exodia cheat, your wrong. I sat there like an idiot doing the cheat 5x. the same goes for the people who post cheats that say you can get Gods, blue eyes ultimate, and the all cards cheat. people just type anything and say its a cheat. jsfgh90 is to short and fj895hgpru8gy is too long. It must be 8 characters or less, and you cant get the cheats from the bottom left-hand part of the actual card. If you dont believe me, it says so right in the players manual, page 19 at the bottom. Oh yeah, and one more thing, For the people who say that there is no exodia, there IS. It took long, But I got all my pieces by reincarnation (finishing 5 battles, winning or losing, going to the chest in the build deck menu, picking a card, and hitting L3.) Dont worry, i am not one of those insignificant fools who post bogus cheats to make other people feel like fools. Ok, it says I have to say if i like or dislike the game, i like it. One more thing. If your into Yu-Gi-Oh! games, there is one coming out next month for gba(gameboy advanced/Sp) i reserved mine. one MORE thing, if you have all the exodia pieces, it gets trickier to summon it.
