This game is GREAT for people who like to roleplay and like horror movies. It's not all that scary but its kinda like a reversed version of Buffy. I LOVE IT! especially that you get to suck people's blood, have auravision which helps ALOT, use weapons, use swords, and what I mostly love, BLOOD RAGE!!! It's also got some challenges, like being in water will hurt her and if in water too long, kill her. I had some trouble following the swamp monster to the last nest but now I love it! If you like horror movies, or want something supernatural(and its not scary to me alteast) love or like gore, and love Dhampirs and vampires, this game is for YOU! its AWESOME!

i think it one of the best games i had ever played. once i saw that you could suck other people 's blood i really got into the game. i also love how she has a kind of radar sense and she can see what is around her. it was really easy in the begining but then it got alot more challenging. so if you want a game that is gory obsene and a game that you can shoot someones brains out or slice them up or my favorite SUCK THEIR BLOOD!!!!! then this is the game for you.

I think that Blood Rayne is a very cool game, so what, it doesn't have stunning graphics, but was that the point of the whole game? It was meant to be dark all the time, I mean duh, she's a vampire, what do you expect. I think that blood rayne herself is a proud and confident character, I like the way she kills her victims, whether she shoots them chops 'em up or eats them (practically)it's always a good form of entertainment to me. I'd give this girl a 9/10; Lara grows old and boring.This a new-ish step to gaming, I mean its overall easy too easy in my opinion but great fun!

its very fun, despite what others say!! it is not boring!!theres a lot of different functions and weapons that makes it fun!! the graphics are good, and the dismemberment is great!!You fight monsters to nazis in different wierd levels...You can suck there blood -chop um up- or shoot um up-!!its a great game,,, trust me!! (Rayne is hot to!! lara croft,eat your heart out!:-)..they should make a second one!

I bought this game without renting it, bad mistake. Rent it first, then if you like it buy it. I found that the game got repetitive after only 2 hours of play time. Watch it, this game sucks!

gory, bloody, obscene, everything you want in a video game its fun for the whole family blood rayne has great combat and shooting but the creativity of the game itsself falls short making blood rayne fun for a few hours then you just want to go do something else but as far as im concernd it was a preety good title and worthy of renting twice

Blood Rayne is an alright game. The first stage is pretty boring, because it is just a "get used to the controllers" stage, but the rest is pretty cool. It's kind of hard when you get further, and it makes you frustrated trying to get past the next levels. It has good graphics, and will keep you playing. If you have trouble trying to get through some places, just look up some cheats, because it makes the game easier, but some things are a bit more difficult to figure out. It has it's own little plot to the game....go to an area and figure out who/what is trying to rid the Earth of humans, and since Rayne is a vampire, she needs blood to stay alive. So of course she has to stop the killing, do a little of her own to keep her kind alive. I think this was a game worth buying and playing.

general description, This game controls like a first person shooter, but has a third person perspective. Good graphics, annoying voice overs, cliched characters, lots of blood and cussing.
gameplay, The gameplay really has no depth. You use L1 to slash and R1 to shoot. All the combos are automatically executed if you land multiple attacks [basically you have to buttons and you press them].
The first level has basically no enemies and feels like a survival horror game (but with no suspense and no puzzles). The rest of it feels like a frantic action game, but again with just tapping L and R when in a crowd and then hitting the square button to hop onto somebody and suck them dry- mario brothers had a more complex combat system.
I really think this game is a 6 or a 7 but everybody was giving it 9's and 10's. I definetly wouldn't recommend buying it and I quickly became bored with the rental.

blood rayne is hafe-life meets blade. With a combination close combat and range weapons it gives a great mix. In most game the player dosen't really have a choice in the way you battle, but in bloodrayne though you do have a choice, kill them slow by draining thier life or a swift death either by knife or gun. It really is a fun game to play. The only problem I found is that some of the missions go on and on much like hafe-life. So the monster and poeple do keep coming up but other then that it is a balls to the wall action pack game, well wroth buying or renting.

First things first, I wish that this little redhead was carrying Kain's (Blood Omen) unborn child. Excellent game, great controls, exceptional graghics. Sweet codes like dimemberment and show-all weapons are a nice extra touch. I hope the sequel's in the making. Oh, and the way she sucks their blood.

This is the best game in the world. sure, the graphics might be average but who cares when there is so much action. Like watching a enemy retrieve in pain and the blood oozing out. And the character is hoooot! So, get your but out there and get this game!

well, i've been to other sites who've bashed this game alittle hard. but sometimes the critics can be alittle too critical. sure the graphics may not be up their with onimusha 2 but the play control is divine and the story line is engrossing and deep. bloodrayne is not your typical ditzy bimbo dismembering mutants and blowing the heads off nazis (though she does these things beautifully). rather she's emotional and intelligent with limited yet wickedly sharp one liners. the mechanics are devilishly simple. your weapons include viscous arm blades,spiked stilleto heels,uzis,shot guns,and best of all blood rage that allows you to hammer your foes with murderously gruesome blood spraying combos. you use dazzling acrobatics to get past each level and aura sight allows you to see your enemies before they see you.oh,did i mention raynhe's moans of extassy when she feeds? its enough to make a geeky fan boy wet his jeans! the levels seem dark and muddy and though critics may hammer majesco for this i believe they sacrificed back ground detail for a lightning fast frame rate and insanely realistic animations right down to the way rayne's hair moves when she turns her head. overall i think it was a good trade off. graphically blood rayne is not the graphical powerhouse of devil may cry or onimusha 2 BUT keep in mind this is majesco's first title in the series and we usaully know the sequel WILL be better. plus, rayne is simply beautiful. her expressions and body language can be sultry, seductive, vicious, or vulnerable as the story progresses. i'm sorry but she makes lara croft look like yesterdays news. musically the sounds are dark and ambient matching the gothic theme perfectly though more orchestral scores and techno would have been nice along with the moans and screams. pretty much what i'm saying is this...if you loved devil may cry, onimusha 2, soul reaver 2, or blood omen 2 buy this game because a gem like this one goes fast..
