The game dothack infection is an awsome game. I'm not an RPG fan but I do like the series dothack sign.Everybody thinks that Skieth is the last boss but he isn't the final boss is the parasite dragon.The tv series is awsome! Dothack Sign comes on at 12:00 o'clock on adult swim. If you don't know what adult swim then tune into cartoon network at the time I told you. the graphics are exalent. Thats all from me RPG fans tune in.
P.S. after besting the game use your ryu books there are 18 movies, 16 pictures including the origanals, and there are 14 different sounds including the origanal one.

This game is da bomb. the graphics are the best PS2 has put out. The game goes by fast in two ways: The battles are really fast and they have lots of action and the game isnt to long. Since the battles go by so fast it is hard to understand what they say when they do spells and talk during battle. As i said the game isnt very long altho there are many side quests. it is really fun and i think i should warn you it is very addicting there is always another quest to go off to and you want to know what will happen there. i think it is a good value because the game is really fun and if you get all the games you can carry your data ( such as your level and items and stats) to the next part. it is kinda a final fantasy nock off but it is a really good game. if you are a rpg lover then you will love this game. if you want to see what the game is about watch cartoon network during adult swim durring weekdays and watch the action night on saterday. the game has only a few diffs from the show so you will have a pretty good idea what the game is about if you take a look at the show.

.hack Infection is one of the funnest games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. I thought the graphics were great. I really like the battle sequence. I thought it was cool to combine the stragety of turn based play and the fun of slapping buttons(real time battle), this was very nice and probably the best addition to this original RPG. The storyline kept me going, and although it went very fast I must say it had my full attention at all times and I await the accompany parts. The only thing negative about this game that I can think of is the music. It's not bad, I just think that they could have came up with a little better dungeon tunes. I loved that the DVD's and the game played into each other, I thought that was very interesting. The concept of this game is like no other and should be experienced first hand by all who dare to call themselves gamer's. Overall I feel this game is one of the better RPG's of all time....er...at least of "my" time. I don't have time to write anymore .hack//MUTATION has just arrived!!! Oh and watch out for that Data-Drain we wouldn't want anyone falling into mysterious coma's now. Tee-Hee!

I just got the game not 2 long ago.It is the best game ever.The graphics are superb and the story line is kool.I hope they come out with a version u can play online.It would be kool.It would also be kool if u could make yor own character and design him or her like in Morrowind.

I first bought part 1 of dothack unsure, exactly, of what it was but i read about it somewhere and it sounded pretty cool. so.... i got it. This game is THE best game by bandai and (however short) is thoroughly entertaining down to the final boss. The gameplay is exellent and the camera, though annoying at first became easy to use and take advantage of in a tiny amount of time. Probably the best part about the game is you'll never be stuck wondering what to do because there are only a few ways to get missions. There are three things i do NOT like about this game though... first off, its short. theres no denying it. Second, there are 4 parts at $50 buck a pop (when new). Finally, a cannot understand what the people are saying when they do spells, so i cant play off of that. Overall, i kinda hate BANDAI for making the game so darn good, but expensive, at the same time. Im currently playing Mutation (part 2) and its looking even better than the first.

INFECTION really suprised me, not because I wasn't expecting much of it but because a game with potential turned out suprisingly well.
One thing I noticed off the bat was its excellent voice work, and character design. They really complement the games concept and story. The story revolves around an online RPG called the world and even though the game isn't online it gives the impression that it is. You start off at your computers desktop which you can customize with unlockable music and wall papers. When you enter "The World" you're in an RPG with several characters, items, and randomly generated dungeons.
The gameplay is mostly dungeon crawling but it doesn't get boring because the game has such a large array of enemies, levels, and a wide beautiful musical score. That and an incredable story to keep it moving.
One thing that caught me off gaurd is the games difficulty, I died alot and that got on my nerves. Some advice: Stay within 2 levels of the dungeons recomended level, you'll live longer.
Overall the game rates highly in my mind. Its definitly worthy of a chunk of any RPGer's paycheck.

This is the first time I've ever posted a review of any game online. I must say that this game truly steals the prize when it comes to a great tory line. It is primarily for this reason that I needed to give my two cents. From the moment you log onto "The World", which is the name of the "online" world you play in, the story begins to slowly unfold and suck you in. I was hooked from that moment and played the game for about 20hrs straight--well give or take the 10 minutes I used eat and visit the little boy's room :-) Yes, the game is very addictive. Combined with some great graphics (not the best I've seen, but they are up there), good sound (the voices are wonderful but the music could be a bit better), some interesting elements (like being able to trade with other characters, which are controlled by the game, and other things like creating certain types of levels, depending on how you arrange a list of words--in groups of 3--this sounds like a lot and one of characters helps explain it and you also can read about it on the message board, which is part of the game too), the game portrays a sense of depth (having many of the qualities of a massive online multiplayer game, and I must say this again, the marvelous story line keeps you working your fingers to the point where it helps to bust out your carpal tunnel braces! I recommend this game because it sets itself apart from the rest. I haven't played too many games that let you take your powered up character and items and allow you to transpose them into the sequel! Happy sore fingers, Have fun!

.hack ... how to describe it?!
Shamelessly, I haven't bought this game yet :( Being a typical RPG fan, I have played most RPG games inside out, back to front... and dothack has to be one of the greatest games I have ever played. The plot is very simple, but not boring in any way, so if plot comes first in your catagory, you won't be disapointed in any way. It's also very original!
Secondly, Graphics... not much of a problem here. Okay, the graphics are not as good as Final Fantasy 10 or Final Fantasy 10-2, but they are very good. The game is in a mixture of 2D and 3D with a touch of Manga... nice.
And last of all, gameplay. The gameplay, I think, is very similar to Dark Cloud as you have plenty of dungeons to explore, which in my opinion is a good thing. The game is basically "a game within a game", which is very creative and clever. It plays as though it's an online game, and because I've never played an online game before, I found that very interesting. It's also has some very funny conversation in it as though you were playing an online game, like "Got to go, the dinner's burning! :("
Overall, I think that dothack is a near perfect game with just one or two tiny flaws in it. I strongly reccomend that you buy it if you haven't already, and I eagerly awaiting Part 2.

This is one of my favorie games yet including the whole .hack// series. I already finished it, but it took 3 weeks to do it because I was getting the hang of it. There's nothin' that I know that can beat the excitement and fun in this game. It was a cool experience waiting to know what happens next. The first phase, Skeith, was really cool looking and powerfull. I'll have more and meybe better reviews for Vol. 2 and 3 in little bit. Now for my hints and stuff: 1. when you get poison grunty, Iron grunty, and Noble grunty in 8 server, you can do a flag race and aim for good items like 3rd place-Divine Cross and it will heal you and your party members max HP, 2nd place-Silver Gruntie that will give you a boost of 15 max SP, and 1st place-Gives you a golden grunty wich is like a Silver but it boost max HP and you get a imege 51 as a prize too. When you fight Skeith you should bring Piros along.

An interesting concept to say the very least. A Massivly Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, thats niether massive, online, or multiplayer? I found this very interesting infact I found it suprising, a game with an actually unique concept in this day in age? Lead on.
The games strong point is its plot. If it lacked in that area I don't think I would give it the time of day, the contol is a little sluggish and the graphics are mediocre at best, with some pretty cheap AI, but with a plot this grand its hard to hold any of that against .hack. It follows the main character, Kyte, through a quest to save his best friend from a game induced comatose. It all happens when his friend teaches him how to play the game, his friend Orca, who has been playing for a while basically has attained God status so playing in a low level dungeon poses no threat. However the two encounter an invincible creature which Orca cannot kill. He is defeated in the game, and is found in an unwavering coma by his computer. Kyte who has been instilled with a bracelet that allows him to hack the mechanics of the game, is now determined to find out what has happened to his good friend. The story takes many a unexpected plot twist and leaves you craving for the next game.
What prevents this game from being perfect in my mind is the downfalls that it suffers when it comes to gameplay. The combat system gives you total control over your AI controlled team mates using yell commands, but leaves you wishing that you had more control over yourself. The control seems a little sluggish and unresponsive at times making for at least one death that could have been prevented. Actually I find that there are alot of cheap deaths. The main problem with it is when an enemy makes you a target of a spell you cannot move until the spell is over. When you are pitted in a situation against multiple magic using enemies your stuck and can do nothing but take the beating.
The graphics are jagged and ugly, and the environments get repetetive quickly.
However not all is bad gameplay wise in .hack, no there is plenty of good. One of the interesting aspects is the ability to trade with other Player Characters like you can in a real online game. Also the writing for the dialogue is well done and at times pretty funny. Often when you talk to someone to much they will say something in an attempt to end the conversation, which in more than one case is pretty humourous. "I have to go, my supper is burning!" leaves you chuckling not only because it is funny, but also because that is something like what an online gamer hears alot. Also the game comes packed with unlockable items including desktop wall papers and music scores. Also you can keep your saved data and use it in the sequels making it so you can have an advantage off the getgo.
Each one of the games comes packed with a bonus anime DVD, the animation quality is excellent and it really gives you a better understanding of the world that the game takes place in.
For those who like plot first in a game, this series is something you might want to look into investing in, otherwise you might be a little dissapointed.

This game has it all. As an avid Rpg player it is getting harder and harder to find an Rpg that has graphics AND storyline. With the exception of very few it is also hard to find a game that has graphics AND good gameplay. This game will challenge even the most incredible Rpg players. It has elemental playing fields and a jaw dropping animeish feel to it, due largly in part to the full facial animation of the characters and monsters. The battle system is one of the fastest and most enjoyable I've seen as it mixes the best of turned based fighting with action adventure style free roaming. It is rumored to come in a five part series, however you must play this game to keep up with whats going on in the .hack// saga. So if you haven't picked this one up and your ready to totally re-invent the way you play Rpg's I definately recomend this game

this game is a mix of final fantasy and kingdom hearts. story line is good and battle scenes but they could make it better by having a target lock on an enemy. hopefully they'll have this feature on their next saga.... but i still recommend you playing this game. a real challenge for an rpg player

Usually when I play a game I dont get off the playstation until Ive finished (even though it pisses off my family).Which usually means Im up for about a day(24hours).This one only took me about 16 hours to complete.Even though it is alittle short compared to other rpgs its still right up there with with Kingdom Hearts (48 hours) and Final Fantasy 7 (30 hours).Also those two are a bit harder. The only thing I found greatly challenging about this game is the last boss ,Scathe. You'll also realize that there are alot of characters that resemble those of the dothack series but arent really them. Elk resembles Sukasa, Orca to Bear,MiMi Ru definatley to Blackrose,and Duke from part 2 slightly resembles Krim. Heck I think the only one whos looks and appearances have stayed the same is Helba. But the real fun comes when you get the sidequests like the hero of Zeit (which I beat getting 2 minutes 9 secs through a level 20 dungeon)and the tag with goblins.I rarely do this but Ill give this game a 9\10 for just overall fun.My next review on part 2 and 3 once it comes out should be coming soon.

Hack infection is the Anime version of kingdom herts. This also comes with a DVD Showing what's giong in the real wrold. Also in the tag game, the goblin is very fast so you shuld hit him with fast strikes. This game has some of the best graphics around and some very good vioce overs. Dosn't yor chariter sound like IZZY from Digimon? You can na,me your chareter anything. I named mine;Hate's master somthing. Also to find the portables for the minigames go the boreds and you need that to continue the plot but fast build some EXP. frist then you might meet blackrose who helps you in battle. If you Loved Kingome hearts you gotta try this.

This game is awesome! It's definitely worth your money, though having to buy all four volumes seperately (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, and Quarentine) might hurt the wallet. Anyway, the music is pretty cool. It perfectly suits the theme and is appropriate for almost every part of the game. The graphics are okay, but they could have been better in my opinion (IMO). Some of the characters annoy me and get on my nerves, but that's the case with most games anyway. Forming parties is cool. You can give them items to use, weapons to equip, and even issue them orders. You can even order them to use specific attacks and heal you too!And the dungeons are cool. They can take anywhere between fifteen minutes to even an hour in navigating and fighting. While they could have some more puzzles and, um, stuff, they are still pretty neat. Just don't get lost or you'll be in big trouble (believe me!). If you like RPGs, then you'll LOVE .hack. Even if you don't, then you might find it appealing.

This game is so awesome. The fact that it is like an online game offline is grand. The only problem is it's short but other that it's the best buy it. You will absolutely not regret it. I seriously am so obsessed wit the game I'm gonna buy all four although i only have part 1.

i have played many rpgs but thiis is number one it is very interesting that it was made by bandai. bandai does not make good games this is to me and aulways be the number one bandai game ever made and that ever will be made.I own all of the the dot.//hack games. if you bet them one by one it is a heck of alout easer, it may seem confuesing at first but if u beet the game bye the game i of course mean get a game clear on every game. i am the bigest fan ever i play the card game watch the shows and of course play the game if u need any help whith the game plz email me this is matt/or soko saying c crest out.
