By the way, Ratchet and Clank is an awesome game. All I have left to do is to buy all of the gold weapons. Is there a quick and easy location for a lot of bolts that someone can share? I hope that Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando will be even better. Anyways, the persuader is automatically and permanently equipped once you get it. Just thought that might help.

This is the best game ever! It's challenging and fun but there is one thing i don't get and maybe someone can help me. With the persuador its supposed to give you a discount on gadgeatron things but i don't see any discount when i get stuff. how does it work? anyway the game is awesome and can't wait for R&C Going Commando!

Ratchet and Clank is an excellent game I got addicted to it I would reccomend getting it as I thought it was a superb game it was also hard which I like it was really enjoyable working out where all the gold bolts where I also liked filling up with excitment when I bought a new weapon

How to Enter Cheats at the Goodies Menu |

I love this game. It is awesome. I am playing it through a second time.I think this will help Adrienne from Hanover, PA. When you beat the game, you can start a new game with all of your weapons. If you press pause in your new game, 'Goodies' is at the bottom. If you select it, it will be blank because you haven't entered any cheats yet. So, unpause your game and enter a cheat, (while the game is unpaused). When you have done it correctly, it will say something on the screen. Then you can go to the cheats portion of the goodies part and it will have your cheat on there.

I have already beat the game. It was really fun. The weapons are awesome, especially the RYNO. Someone said there is only one gold weapons location on this game, but there are two. The first one can be found the first time through. It is on Oltanis Orbit, Gemlik Base. Once you have beaten Qwark, go down the runway and go to the large tower on the right. Go to the front of the entrance. There is a wall slot here. Wall jump up to the platform above and then ride the elevator up to the gold weapons room. The second one can only be found after you beat Drek and play through a second time. It is on Planet Novalis, Tobruk Crater. There is a teleport right by your ship that you can take to the gold weapons room.

I love this game.It is awesome because of all of the weapons. They are really cool.I just got the skill point for the hoverboard race in Blackwater City. I think this might help Michelle from Toronto. On the Hoverboard Race, at the very beginning,hit the turbo arrows, but don't go on the ramp. And then try to jump over the edge of the track and hit the next turbo arrows. Take the lower portion of the track and hit all three turbo arrow sets. Go up on the upper track and hit the first two turbos (not including the gate turbo) and then jump off of the ramp. Try to make it over the pipes. Go on the higher track to the right and go through both turbo rings (gates). Keep going straight and hit the turbo arrows after the green amoeboids and jump off of the side of the ramp, like cut the corner, and hit both turbo arrow sets. Go on the ramp to the left and lightly jump at the end. You should make it through the turbo ring and still be able to hit the turbo arrows on the ground. Make sure to hit the turbo arrows after the finish line, right before the ramp, but don't go on the ramp. Keep cutting corners and you should get the skill point. It took me forever, but it is possible!

this game rocked! it was the best. the graphics were awsome and the sound was great. it was really funny too, you should buy it, when i did i totally got my moneys worth, i think its so cool with all the weapons and gadgets you can choose from. ive beat the game like 5 times and im still not bored of it. heres a tip for all you people who think the hoverboard race is too hard, the trick is to find and get as many of those turbo things as you can and always try to take little shortcuts it is possible to go through the race on planet rilgar with non- stp turbo throughout the whole raceand there are many places were you can take little shortcuts. beleive m eno matter how small they are and how pointless they look they make a huge difference. if you took every shortcut in the race it would save you like 30 seconds. over all its a great game and i cant wait for the sequel.

For the cheats after you defeat drek and everything...I'm on my second game and all most finished and I still haven't been able to figure out the cheats. they say "go to the goodies screen and perform....." well i go there but it's just a blank screen. How are you suppose to perform these in the "goodies" menu if you cant see what you're doing. Plus when ever I try the combinations, the screen goes away from pressing the triangle button for the moves. I love this game... its an awesome game....but why can't there just be cheats with the buttons to push. I think they could have done a better job on the cheats and they could have made them less confusing. Other than that, its a good game play. It really keeps me busy even though some parts are really tough. Don't give up if you're stuck!!! You'll get it eventually.

Michelle from canada yesterday i was playing and i got that 4500 in the hoverboard race and to get it u go to the last corner where the loops are. Hit the burst of speed and go right of the edge and do a move and u get points, just do big combinations and its easy as pie. And about the time thing i think your right cause the best time i ever got was 2:01.

Once u get the taunter and to hologuise go to the hoverboard race in blackwater city and just before i enter put on the hologuise then enter and when the race starts u are on your feet. Go around until u come to the little green things under the boxes on the platfrom up above and take out the taunter and hold the o(circle) button down to use the taunter and dont let go and bolts will just drop from the sky it takes awhile to get some bolts but its worth it to help get the Rip Ya a New One (RYNO)!!! see ya lata.

I read a review on the game coming out in November and it said that there are like 20 new guns and it said something about that if u have a saved game from the first one that there were 5 guns from the game u could transfer over. Itsaid that there were 20 planets and that they added moons that u went onto and u have to blow up towers on a moon. I think without even seeing the game that it is better than Ratchet and Clank. The other sweet thing i saw was that Ratchet got to wear suits of different kinds and i dont know what that is all about but i think it sounds cool. I also read that the reason it is called going commando is because he is in a like a group of special agents and it doesnt have anything to do with underware. Another thing is that when u are Clank there is 2 new things he can order the little robot guys to do and i know one of them is build bridges. The last thing i got to say is that Ratchet now has levels so he has hitpoints, and the most hitpoints he can get is 180 of the little blu things i dont remeber what there called, and the most an enemy has that isnt a boss is 120. Those are the reasons i think Going Commando is better. Since i cant type where i already have without deleting something im going to type one more thing, there are upgrades for many of the weapons including i think 3 upgrades for the OmniWrench and that is my last comment.

I am a great fan of insomniac games but I have never seen such a destrutive side of them.Need a gold bolt well then go to the otlantis orbit and get past all the toxic waist go out of the lift turn around and look up there's a tube at the top use the visibomb gun and steer it through the tube and hit the tower and it opens the forcefield by the toxic waste.

this is by far the best game ever. all the weapons are incredilby detailed and the graphics are awesome. heres a tip for more gold bolts. after you beat drek go back to the planet with all the mechs. transform into giant clank and go to the arena and destroy the mechs. then just jump of the bridge outside the arena and you will respawn invincible. go to the arena fight again and keep doing this. it will get you massive amounts of bolts!!

Great graphics, sounds, gameplay it is just so awesome! The detail, how much sound and movement there is. Every single world is alive and moving not just sitting there. The weapons are so much fun and all the moves are just great. It has the best humor of any game I have ever seenI cant wait for the 2nd one to come out if there is one!

for all you out there an easy skill point is to destroy the captain quark statchue on the spring on the planet Novelis! The game is the best!!! In november 2003 ratchet and clank 2 is coming out! i'm saying this because you all might want to know when ratchet and clank 2 is coming out and an easy skill point. the game is great!!!

Loved the game it was awesome! The gameplay was great ,because of the ongoing plot,surprises, the items and weapons (R.Y.N.O. rules) , and some of the cinamas were plain funny. The sound was pretty good because ya dont get many games that even have a different sound for each and everything there. One thing I found wrong was that sometimes your file gets erased , but I solved that. I dont beleive I have another game that was as fun as that one. That thing with Ratchet gettin mad about clank almost getin him killed was neat and Clank findin his mom was sweet. The graphics were awesome too. This was a great game and I enjoyed it greatly.

ok this is one of the best games i ever bought totally worth the fifty bux i payed for it i am on the last boss and only have 1 more gun to find i think its the ryno but im on drek and its so tuff if sumone can email me a detailed walkthrough for drek it would be greatly appreciated now i will lis t why this game kicks

ok, ratchet and clank is a great game, but i'm stuck on the water planet trying "Not" to get drowned through the maze in the tunnel, Know this is how far i've been, i already bought the rocket launcher(150,000 bolts!) and i got another 100,ooo bolts again, i sent an email to the creator, and that didn't help, all i need is someone to play that level i live in Mass anyone can help me.. i stopped playing, my son wanted the game but i'm playing it.. it's a great game, but i'm stuck.. and yes i did do the hover race... (it took me three weeks but i did it,with out my son around needling me to do this and that..)
an i know that if you go throught the maze on the on the water planet three times the water level gets a bit slower..
I"M STUCK!!! HELP

I reckon its a great game and you always have fun with it. Dreks a bit easy but the Hoverboarding is SWEEEEEEEET. Anyone who DOESN'T like this game is seriously screwed up!. I think that there should have been more levels and mabye in ratchet and clank 2, they should add a level which includes a drive-by racing car level, where you can shoot your opponents. Otherwise a very good job!

While I agree with all the comments about the amazing graphics and the sounds, there is just one source of frustration. I finished the game and beat Drek, then decided to go back and do all the skill points and obtain the Golden Weapons. The Golden Weapons are no big deal, just have to keep gather bolts till you can afford them. HOWEVER, I currently have 28 out of 30 Skill Points and the last 2 are near impossible. In fact it has now put me off the game. If anyone knows the best way to finish the first Hoverboard race in less than 1:35 then I invite you to tell me. Then there is the combinations of tricks you need to do to get the 4500 points on the second hoverboard race. I am so fed up with trying, I put the game away. Even though I like a challenge, there is point where it is no longer fun. I have now played Jak and Daxter 3 times, and while it is still challenging, the end is obtainable. It may be awhile before I revisit Ratchet and Clank.
