This game is all-around perfect. Strategy is the main part of this game, you take part as the leader of 1 of 3 kingdoms. The choices you make decided outcome of China. Wei, Wu, Shu, along with other small forces fight for unification of the land. It is long and tough but once you get a feel for the battle controls it becomes fun.There is also 2 player mode which allows you to play another with select forces. You can also keep track of History. Gives in brief discription of Generals like Pang Tong, Cheng Pu, and alot of other generals. I found in playing the game that the leader you chose is another way of asking easy, medium, or hard.Graphics a very good but close up on Tactics is could be better, sound well good but could be more intense they use a kind of stratigic music. Doesnt get boring real fast becuase you can put the battle sequence on auto where CPU decides battle for you. If you liked Kessen you love this. Nothing like chess or any board game. Watch you generals grow in stats and troops and China take shape under your rule. Working with all generals shapes a stronger army than working with 8.

This game is good. You think it would be bad because its like chess. The game is real good because you can take over other places and play random 2 player battles. The only thing I hated about it was that it was not 2 players and you have to take the places they wan't you to take. But other then that it is a must buy.

NO doubt about this game! Totally different to any of the dynasty warriors, the battle system is Very easy to learn, but some battles are tough.Different special attacks, combination of hits, and many other little things like towers. It a bit like 3D chess but the pieces are a lot more exciting. What makez this game good is how you can see the troops attacjing aswell as your army move. Any of you Dynasty Warrior fans! it A MUST TRY!

this game is outstanding, but my only problem with this one is you cant recruits civilians to be added into your officers' army *for example Sun Quan has a total 6000 soldiers on his command but they will only increased by 1000 everytime that officer had gained a level up* I wish the next Dynasty Tactics also includes on recruiting peasants to join an Officers' army *like each city you occupied you can do some things on that particular city**for example you can get taxes for each cities you conquered, you can recruit your peasants as addition to your armies, divide your cities population from civilians to workers = farmers, builders etc***and please dont forget to include recruiting an officer via his/her friend/s sent as envoys!!!!

I thought this was a great game....but i think this will only be fun if u are into stategy, true, it is hard, but it is much more realistic. Anyway, the old way of going around and killing things gets kinda old. But if u must know Koei is making Dynasty Warriors 4.....

An engaging and entertaining game. The player can choose to play as one of three leaders, each leader having a different path to victory through a series of strategic battles that you control.
Not only that, but there are quite a few different endings for each leader's scenario, and different paths and events that can take you to the various endings. The game documents the path you take and ending you reach, and shows you how many other paths there are to take for the scenario (but not how to get them)
Not to mention the battles. You pit your generals and their troops against the generals of an opposing leader, the fight taking place on a grid-like battlefield. Outwit and smash your opponent with tactics and combos.
Not for the faint of heart or mind. Dust off your thinking caps for this one.

first when i played dynasty tactics i thought it would wbe like dynasty warriors 2 and 3 but it was nothing like it it was like plaieng chess or a board game so i was about to take it back but after a while i got realy into it. its a strategy game so if you like action or adventure games dont look at this game.it starts of where u pick 3 leaders caocao,sun ce or liu bei they each start of at diffrent places.

I Have played Dynasty warriors 2 and 3 and fine the combat unique but repetitive. Though with the release of Tactics and belive the previous games are looked at in a different light for instance instead of ploughing through hordes of men. I go back and help allies that are in trouble. A thing that I find very good on Tactics is that the faces of every character are unique and not the same person with the same voice. I also find that creating your own armies is extremely sweet as you can combine different armies instead of them being locked on one side, however I flaw which I think Dynasty warriors includes is the same scenes over and over you operate a tactic and the same images appear but with different coloured men or different units. On a final note I find Dynasty Tactics enjoyable with a long gaming life though it is again repetitive and the graphics are mild

This game is wee develop, many way to win and different ending, more than 200 officer. The FMV scenes are really good and the story line is more details thant in any Dynasty warriors. so I say that that game rock and tell you that you got to get it.

the only reason i was going to play htis game was becaus i thaught it wouldbe like (Dynasty Warriors 2 & 3) but it was nothing like hem this is like playing chess with your grandfather like a better version of it. but it was nothin like i thaught it should be.
