Well, i really think that the sims 2 is a good game and i am glad that i bought it, but i am a bit dissapointed, the only reason i bought the sims 2 was because i saw how good the game was on pc version, there were the expansion packs, building an upstairs, being able to have a proper generation family.and so i thought wow, this game looks really good, and because i've already got most of the sims games i thought i couldnt do without the new game, so i pestered my parents for it and they finally gave in, but when i came to play it, i found out there was no generation familys, no building upstairs and no expansion pack, so i was very very dissapointed, i would not recomend this game to anybody who is looking for the same abilitys as myself. But overall i rate the game as a 6.
i really hope you can do better on the sims 3 (if there ever is one)

This game is great! trust me its worth the $. Because when i first saw it it looked sort a boring, but when i bought it, it facinated me! Alright i know some of ya think dat dis game is a waste of time, but maybe it won't, cuz i have all da codes to dis game. HERE THEY ARE! alright, to unlock the cheat screen, go to da main menu and press L1,L2,R1,and R2 at da same time and a box will appear. Type in MIDAS to get all objects. Type in FREEALL to get ALL objects for free in both buy and build mode (HAS NO EFFECT ON BILLS, FOOD, OR SERVICES). Type in PARTY M to get new 2 player game THE PARTY MOTEL. Type in SIMS to unlock play the sims mode without having to go threw the dream house level. And finally, type in FISH EYE to unlock first person view (THAT MEANS LOOK THREW YOUR SIMS EYES). The sims is one of the greatest games around, but it isn't perfect. The motives drain fast, and it gets tiresome trying to get job promotions, and achieve friendships. that is why I give it a nine out of ten. The garbled language they speak is somewhat humerous, and their antics are entertaining, The sim your controliing is very small, it makes it difficult to see what's going on. other than that, it is a nice game that will give you a laugh or two. I recommend this title if you like slow paced fun and challenging gameplay.

The Sims is a vey good game but it could have made some inprovements on it too. Bustin' Out could have been better if they made it so you could drive instead of the computer driving for you and they should have made better easier cheats to type in because the gnome cheat won't work on mine, or I'm doing it wronge. On the normal Sims the cheat FREEALL does work but that bar is still there so if your trying to make a really rich house then you always have to watch that dumb bar! It's really annoying!

i like this game cuz un like most games there is a cheat mode i can't tell you how to get to that (those strict rules...sigh)but i like when if you finaly figure out the cheat mode you get to have a monkey butler and if you have a pool party (if your sim has a pool)like me a munky really lightens the mood like one time me and my cuzin were playing and i made these party goers stand arond the munky and throw food at him and laugh and thAT MUNKY DISSAPERED ISN'T that funny but on the down side if you are a hard core video gamer that plays 24/7 it can get a bit repetitive but it is a good game maxis knows what they're doing!

I've been wanting to purchase The Sims on the PC for years. I finally plunked down 19.95 for the PS2 version. I've always been interested in cellular automata. I've sunk many hours into the SimCity series. I am extremely disappointed with The Sims. I guess the real question is why do so many people love this game and I really hate it? Why, when I love to play games of this genre?
There is not enough utility in this game to keep on playing. For the amount of effort to try to keep your sim happy, you have to spend way too much time manipulating too many details for too little in rewards.
In trying to make it "realistic", Maxis has removed the gameplay. The goals of the game are good: develop relationships, develop a character, get rich and buy cool stuff you only dreamed of in real life. Unfortunately, there is not enough utility to keep the sim happy long enough to do anything constructive. Maxis' goals became reality: deal with mounting problems in life, deal with problematic relationships, make only enough money to get by: be frustrated with life.
Maxis deviated from their basic goals by forcing day-to-day realism. How much real game time is wasted even fast forwarding your sim through sleeping, bladder releasing, reading etc?
Who cares about the graphics and interface if the gameplay is boring?
The Sims could have been a great game had Maxis focused on the goals and had not got caught up in the boring mundane details of life.

many peeps think theres no 2 player but there is 1st go to freeplay mode make sure theres 2 sims in house (or more) make sure second remote is plugged in then hav the 2nd player press start then the screen will be divided in half if anybody needs cheats or any help on sims burtin out email me at fade2black333< remove me > at aol.com i liked the game cuz there are good graphics and cool cheats it has more of a varity in things such as objects to build the house and to put in the house they have more places to live and visit too the sims have cooler clothes objects and different things like that to put on them hope you liked my reveiw

hey all sims players, i have a question for you if you can answer it. Every time i call to go on vacation or explore old town, nothing ever shows up. I have looked and looked on the internet and nothing ever helps me. what can i do to go to both of those places. your answer will be greatly appreciated.i really like the different choices of the sims.The sims also has a great variety in clothes styles. the one thing that bugs me is that that stupid clown who cries all of the time wont leave your house. i do like the bear that eats your trash because he is very cute.thank you!!!

This game is good at some parts. There are a lot of things this game needs work on. But once you get into it you start to have a little fun. Sometimes I dont see the point in the game...I mean you playing someone elses life! I do like building houses on the game though. The get a life mode is kinda cheesy if you ask me. You are living in your moms house and have to complete objectives to move out. Also getting married is tough. You propose and the person you are proposing to is suddenly hungry or depressed. Overall Id give this game a 3. It can get borring though...I warn you!!

Now where do i start on this game!
ok i do admit that some people mite think this game is fantastic, but all i can say to them is grow up!
the graphics of the game is really good, so is the game play!
but its just 2 boring!
i bought it thinking i like playing stratergy game, so i mite enjoy it, but once i put it on, thought, what have i done here!
You start of playing as character, going through stages of life!
u gota make him go 2 da toilet, feed him, spice up his life!
it would be better off me, playing with my young nephew instead!
belive me, u would regret buying such game( wel unless ur a low life)

No cool stuff no designing noses eyes or ears You should rent the game a couple times beat it then go onto bustin out so then you get the point of bustin out and umm this game is ok in the first place before bustin out I woulda rated 7 or 8 but no I rate 5 no cool stuff no big partys worse graphics its pretty fun but you need cheats for 2 player Mode I think or there aint even 2 player no matter what bustin outs 2 player takes no cheats all you do is press start when playing insert a memory card with sim data and press X then your in so simple instead of going on a cheat code website and getting codes its a ok game but I wouldnt reccomend buying the game......

You know the guy from london I read some of his review with the guy screaming for his needs well because there our little dogs gerbils hamsters etc. and they can talk to there own kind they have there own language and there your pets in there cage which is there home and like our pets we have to take care of them or they die flame and starvation this is a ok game There isnt much stuff to pick and they also need homes like us and like our needs were like the owner and there the pets take care of your pet sims Buy The Sims or The Sims Bustin' Out today and bring home a flock of sims pets.

how do i get the kids when theyve gone from babies to kids, how do they turn into adults???? am i missing something? my kids are a plus students so help me? If you know any other stuff about this game tell me too. also for everyone out there buy this game it is so awesome and lifelike its not funy, also totally addicting. i bought it for my kids and cant leave it alone...im totally for this game and the rest to come from maxis. And it is also for all ages to enjoy. my kids love it and i love it. try it. buy it.

I think that the Sims are cool but one of the problems is that when you tell your peopl or person to do somethang they wont do it or when they get in fights sometimes the man cuses at the woman.I think that they shoulod fix that.And that you should be able to put more than 8 people in your family.I also like it because it is like you are raising your own family,and you can have babies. The sims is reall neat in the way that you can do little cheats to get money or deleat bill and even build a house in the sky! You can also build off your property!

Well not as good as bustin out not as much stuff but its good If it werent for this game though there wouldnt be a bustin out but this game is still fun to play I rent it but now I just play bustin out not the plain Sims I love games that are fun and in bustin out and the plain sims it wont tell you how many job promotions there are but the only thing this game has that sims bustin out doesnt is Cheats! The sims bustin out has absolutley no cheats it has like 2 and I cant figure them out and In the plain sims there is barely anything for any of the sims!

i think the sims was really good but there was room for improvments the first thing they could sort out is the langage it would have been great to hear what they had to say instead of evrey time they wanted somthing they would have to jump up and down and have a little dream bubble thing telling you what they wanted! the seconed thing is the limit of things you can buy in your house!!! i was really excited when i found out a cheat that makes evrey thing free...that i went straight on it i built a massive house for my family to live in but i was disipointed when i went to put a monkey butler in my house and it would not accepept it because i aready had too many things in my house but isnt that what your meant to do when you have cash to splash...SPEND IT! i had to sell lots of things in the end so i could have that monkey butler.The last problem was adopting a babie...when you adopted one and it grew up into a chlid im not sure about any one else but mine looked like a total idiot!!! it had face paint all over its face and had the weirdist hairstyle and im not being sexist but it was always a boy. i loved the game itself but those improvments would have made it perfect!!!!!!!!!

it is a preaty good game but it is long and i even use the cheats it is very hard to play it is like taking care of a brother or sister.but over all it was preaty good.it could be better but it could be worse so it is even so that is a gfood reason to buy it so that is why i bought it so if you havent i wooold. it was good yes but bad yes so get the game so you can play this never ending so if you want a game that is long this is the game for you

Just incase you don't know The Sims is based on bringing up families, getting a job, staying alive and so on. This game is so popular though because in some shops they have a whole shelf packed with Sims games. Anyway the reason why I like this game is that it puts you in control and you can really boss around your Sims and test out stuff. Some people on the other hand will think that raising a family is a girly thing to do and you should grow out of it (if you're a boy). The game gets really repetitive and annoying and you have to be patient or you fail every time. You can also kill Sims and get burgled and have fires in your house but they take hours to happen. Apart from that The Sims has brilliant graphics and close to OK sounds. It's the only game where you bring up a family you'll find apart from Bustin' Out which is also a Sims game. If what I've said sounds good to you then buy it now!
