the sims 2 |
| kirstie from england says (30/Jan/2006): |
Well, i really think that the sims 2 is a good game and i am glad that i bought it, but i am a bit dissapointed, the only reason i bought the sims 2 was because i saw how good the game was on pc version, there were the expansion packs, building an upstairs, being able to have a proper generation family.and so i thought wow, this game looks really good, and because i've already got most of the sims games i thought i couldnt do without the new game, so i pestered my parents for it and they finally gave in, but when i came to play it, i found out there was no generation familys, no building upstairs and no expansion pack, so i was very very dissapointed, i would not recomend this game to anybody who is looking for the same abilitys as myself. But overall i rate the game as a 6.
i really hope you can do better on the sims 3 (if there ever is one)

The Sims is an OK Game |
| Gamer from somewhere, Pennsylvania, USA says (13/Feb/2003): |
I never played any game like the sims. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. My friend suggested this game. I bought it knowing not if I would like it. I did! It is a matter of opinion though. If you don't like games where you have to do things constantly then don't buy this game. This game is somewhat hard. You have to meet daily requirements like eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom. If you are going to buy this game for your kid Don't worry. When your sim goes to the bahroom or takes a shower he or she is blurred out. In this game you also have to go to work. This is sometimes bad. If you don't keep up your energy then your sim will pass out and you might miss work. If you can put ignor some of the downsides then you will love this game. I would suggest this game to anybody who likes Non-fiction games.

The Sims Is GREAT! |
| A gamer from Denver, USA says (17/Jan/2003): |
I have played the "The Sims" on the computer and those games are great. The sims for the ps2 is just as good, maybe even better. Its so good because you can use your ps2 controllers to control everything instead of a mouse. Make sure when you play "The Sims" you study up on your cooking and your mechanical books, so that way if something breaks you can fix it, and if you cook without studying the books, you will catch something on fire. The reason that i have given "The Sims" a 9 instead of a 10 is because i can not find any codes or cheats for the game, in the computer versions, the codes and cheats make it very funny. If anyone has any codes send them to me please at a1cnd< remove me > at yahoo.com. it would be deeply appreciated. thank you. and "The Sims" is great.

Not Great, Not Bad!!! |
| Vin Diesel from Brisbane, Qld, Australia says (16/Mar/2003): |
This game is ok I can see a kind of resemblance to real life e.g. the money side, how u have to watch where your money goes and save where you can, but i do wish the time it takes to do things was a bit more realistic, if you like games where you can enter a cheat and u have inf money, energy and so forth, this is probably not the game for you, you have to work for every bit of money and energy u have it will stay exciting untill you finish all the stages after that it runs on empty until u dont play for 2 months then start again but even then 3 days of playing and you remember why you havnt played it for 2 months lol. but it has its challenges ups and down just like any other game does, i think it is a satasfactory game thats why i only game it 5.

Don't Waste Your Money! |
| Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (21/Aug/2003): |
Oh please! The Sims is SO boring! I'm still hate myself for even buying it, for $50! What a waste! It looks cool on the cover, but when you start playing it, it it really sucks. And when you start playing, its only fun for a half-hour. Don't be thinking about buying this, I BEG YOU! You'll hate yourself for the rest of your life! The Sims graphics are sucky and stupid. The sound bites. And the gameplay only just lets you live in a small hut, and go to your job. BORING!!! And when you live with a wife and kids, you have to do all the work! Clean up trash, pee-pee, and other crap. While also doing that, you got to take care of your-self! And even sometimes, they'll just stand there and be jerks. So anyway, DON'T BUY THIS GAME! ITS A WASTE OF MONEY!

Addictive , fun and you can play it for hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Rosemary from South Australia ,Adelaide says (1/Jun/2003): |
I love the sims so much!!! It is the most fun games on my computer and I sit on my butt and play it for hours on end!!!I don't have a PS2 so I can't play it on PS2!!!Even when I am totally ticked off with the game because I don't have any sim money , I still sit and play the game!I love how you can decide what star sign they will be and how you can do all sorts of houses.Once I got loads and loads of sim money and i made this funky house!!!I don't have any expansion packs , but I have tried two of them which are hot date and sims house party!I really want to get a expansion pack for christmas or something like that. Luckily my computer is really fast and I can play it fast and it doesn't take a billion years just to load!!

A seriously addictive game with a few flaws |
| Rich from Riverside RI USA says (13/Aug/2003): |
I really liked the Sims for the Playstation 2. The game held my interest from the beginning. The flaws are basically few, but noticable. The graphics are just okay, the frustrating part is when your character's basic needs are down, raising them can be very difficult. I still managed to overlook that particular flaw, and had fun anyway. I reccomend this title for gamers who are tired of action oriented games and want something low key. It is hard to walk away from this game once you start playing it! THe best feature is the Play the Sims mode. Building a house and creating
a family is the best feature. You will enjoy this game from the beginning. I give it a generous eight stars!

Well no good clothes or cool outfits sure worse then sims bustin out........ |
| Sam (Boy) from In sims bustin out Killing the plain sim people LOL says (22/Feb/2004): |
No cool stuff no designing noses eyes or ears You should rent the game a couple times beat it then go onto bustin out so then you get the point of bustin out and umm this game is ok in the first place before bustin out I woulda rated 7 or 8 but no I rate 5 no cool stuff no big partys worse graphics its pretty fun but you need cheats for 2 player Mode I think or there aint even 2 player no matter what bustin outs 2 player takes no cheats all you do is press start when playing insert a memory card with sim data and press X then your in so simple instead of going on a cheat code website and getting codes its a ok game but I wouldnt reccomend buying the game......

Take Care of Me!! |
| Famey from Malaysia says (11/Jan/2003): |
The Sims is really a great game. It's kinda like cyberpets but got much MORE things to do. You'll have a great time creating a family, building houses, buying furnitures and arrange them and finally take care of them. But if you're a gamer like me,this game will last for a few weeks and then you leave it in your CD rack and forget it. Music is great and if you buy a radio you can listen to "simradio." What makes this game doesn't last long is because it got no objective in it. It doesn't have mission like "Get this guy to marry that girl in a year." But if you're the kind of gamer who loves to rule and watch people do things the way you say, this game is for you.

i like this game |
| chudney from austin,texas says (19/Oct/2004): |
i like this game cuz un like most games there is a cheat mode i can't tell you how to get to that (those strict rules...sigh)but i like when if you finaly figure out the cheat mode you get to have a monkey butler and if you have a pool party (if your sim has a pool)like me a munky really lightens the mood like one time me and my cuzin were playing and i made these party goers stand arond the munky and throw food at him and laugh and thAT MUNKY DISSAPERED ISN'T that funny but on the down side if you are a hard core video gamer that plays 24/7 it can get a bit repetitive but it is a good game maxis knows what they're doing!

The Sims. Who are they? |
| Simon from USA says (10/Nov/2002): |
The sims is a game that steps out of the box and into the circle...that's right, a game without edges or end. A game of wonder, mystery, and above all life. You get to play god in this beautiful game that teaches us all about life, death, friends, love...it is a game about how to be happy, how to live a good and full life. You can learn so much for this game. Not only will you enjoy watching your sim succeed but you'll enjoy living with them, watching their every move. You'll fall in love with your characters, I know I did...the game becomes a part of your life and gives it a touch of sims-plicity.

SIMply the best! |
| Darcy O' Gara from Plymouth, England says (14/Apr/2003): |
This has to be one of the best games out at current. The graphics are great. The characters have curves unlike other games are just straight edges. One good point about The Sims is that it lasts for a long time. There are different modes you can play. I'm glad that Sims turned away from the PC and put it on PS2. The loading time is quick. The only bad thing about this game is that you can build 1 floor. i bought this game 3 months ago and I'm still playing on it. My faverite part of the gameplay is that you can play 2 players.I am definately going to get the sequel to this game if there is one.

OK |
| ALex @#$#*&^%$#@!() from Philadelphia, USA says (18/Mar/2004): |
This game is good at some parts. There are a lot of things this game needs work on. But once you get into it you start to have a little fun. Sometimes I dont see the point in the game...I mean you playing someone elses life! I do like building houses on the game though. The get a life mode is kinda cheesy if you ask me. You are living in your moms house and have to complete objectives to move out. Also getting married is tough. You propose and the person you are proposing to is suddenly hungry or depressed. Overall Id give this game a 3. It can get borring though...I warn you!!

the sims vacation is pissing me off! |
| Heather from Troy,il says (12/Apr/2004): |
hey all sims players, i have a question for you if you can answer it. Every time i call to go on vacation or explore old town, nothing ever shows up. I have looked and looked on the internet and nothing ever helps me. what can i do to go to both of those places. your answer will be greatly appreciated.i really like the different choices of the sims. The sims also has a great variety in clothes styles. the one thing that bugs me is that that stupid clown who cries all of the time wont leave your house. i do like the bear that eats your trash because he is very cute.thank you!!!

Better than the PC version |
| The nameless one from United States says (24/Jul/2003): |
The Sims is better on PS2 than on PC.Theres more stuff to do and theres more of a replay value. However,I really like using a keyboard for the Sims and you can't use a keyboard for the PS2 version which is a little dissapointing.I might trade this version in for the Xbox one because the Xbox controller is probably better for this game than the PS2 controller.Still though this is a wonderful game. Its really fun and even a little addictive. The graphics and music are better on PS2 than on PC and theres a pretty fun 2 player mode too.So if you want a fun game then get this.

Sims is basically a computerized version of life! |
| Oona from Austin, Texas USA says (17/Jan/2003): |
My faveorite part about the Sims is definately the realism of it all. How the characters interact with eachother and the items and houses and stuff. It is a great game as well as an excellent adventure for kids and adults as well. You should definately try it out. Sims, in one word, would have to be different. It is different from other games. In other games you have goals and ambitions, in Sims your one and only goal is to live life, and heck! Live it good! You can party, be lazy dazy, scream, run around, jam to music, and do whatever the heck you want! Sims is life!
