More X-Men Fighting Games? |
| Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (9/Jul/2003): |
All of the X-Men games such as Mutant Academy and Street Fighter r all fighing games! X2: Wolverine's Revenge was the only non-fighter game but that 2 sucked! Next Dimension was the same as the old X-Men games. I mean the Matrix movies were cool, but was the game based on the WB Kids show X-Men: Evolution? The graphics r not that great (u can't c Nightcrawler's face) and some how the girls such as Rogue, Lady Deathstrike, Mystique and others had really big juggers (if u no what i mean) Overall....Not a great game. And make more X-Men games that don't fight!

3rd times a charm...well done Paradox!!! |
| Aaron Sherwood from Lopez,U.S.A. says (25/Jun/2003): |
I played the first two versions (they sucked)on PS 1.I was even going to avoid it after playing the demo. This one does justice for X fans, Paradox now has their act together. In the Their first game, the characters could not even fly. Now not only is flight possibe, but its easy (you can even do most moves while doing so)A timer counts down showing how long ,and its all done in a 3-D enviroment. Finally a good x-men game that is not just from Capcom anymore.

The Game is Great Except......... |
| Edwin Ervin from Chicago, Illinois, USA says (13/May/2003): |
This game is really hot. The matrix moves was awesome and the gamplay is great. The loading time really sucked. The story line also sucked too. The voices on the game don't sound anything like the movie characters or the cartoon characters but, the gameplay made up for everything. I advise anyone who like the x-men to buy the game

Dissaproving X |
| Johnny from memphis,TN says (19/Apr/2003): |
I was first crazy about the game at Chistmas. Then I played it. The single mode was cool, but the story mode sucked; it was way to hard after the first challenge. There is no saving parts or anything. When I finally got to the sentinal 1 the second time I could not beat him. I was so mad. So I traded it in for Street Fighter VS Marvel 2. It was the best trade I ever made. Then I found cheats to X-Men which made me think what if I had the cheats then.

The game rocked! |
| Sean from New York City says (15/Jan/2003): |
The game started off a wee-bit slow but then everything started speeding up as you start to unlock all of the secrets in the game. And, I also think that if there is a follow-up to this game (not that it needs one) that all of the past characters and maybe some new one's that were always affiliated with the X-saga's make a surprise appearance for the secrets menus instead of the costumes, then that will all you need for this game combined with the graphics it will be perfect.

Surprising! |
| David from Edinburgh, Scotland says (2/Jan/2003): |
This game is a lot better than it's been given credit for. The graphics are very clean & crisp (the renders and FMV SUCK so bad, but the in-game grapphics are cool) with some nice effects. The stages are HUGE and interactive, and this works well. The characters are faithful representations of their counterparts (except Jean Grey, her voice & facial expressions seem all wrong, somehow) and all the secret stuff will keep you occupied for weeks and weeks. Downside? Well, even in Easy mode, the game can be FRUSTRATINGLY difficult. It's almostr as if the coders deliberately put in this feature if a gamer is doing too well. And the loading times for the bigger stages border on the ridiculous. However, it's got a very entertaining story mode and Cyclops is every bit as wanky & irritating as he is in the comics, so it ain't bad news at all. I rate this game very highly!

Great game with just a few missing elements. |
| rit from germantwn maryland, usa says (4/Nov/2002): |
This game is fantastic. Although there were a few missing elements. I thought the character choices were good but they could have been better. I remember playing Children of the Atom and I thought Iceman and Silver Samari Kicked ass in that game. These characters should have been included in the game as hidden ones instead of hidden costumes. I understand that making other characters would involve starting from scratch. Each characters have 8 costumes all each. I was disappointed that Phoenix didnt have her classic green and gold costume, Cyclops didnt have his classic blue and gold and Havoc didnt have his original black one. Phoenix was able to unlock Dark Phoenix, Betsy unlocked Psylocke, I think Rogue shuld have unlocked Ms Marvel! It would have been easy to put her in. Their powers are the same and storm was practically wearing a black outfit with a yellow "z" on it. Perhaps in the sequel...hint..hint. There were also a few glitches in the game. I think it was a little rushed. The game is by far the best video game Marvel ever put out. I hope Marvel continues to put out games like this. This is my opinion for the sequel. Our favorite mutants should go up against the Avengers! The imagination could be limitless. Hundreds of characters could be involved.
